The room was clean and comfortable the water pressure for our shower was amazing! Beach is right across the street. We did not have an Ocean view but we didn’t go to spend time in our room so it didn’t matter. A little disappointing that when we wanted to unwind and have drinks on the roof the drinks had to come from the 1st floor so it took forever. But I would recommend staying there!

The pictures were so nice it looked clean and comfy until later on when l went to bathroom and open the shower , for my surprise l saw two roaches half way out of the drain , l got scared, l didn’t know what to do, after they run back to the drain l got a large tape that l always carry with me to seal my beauty products so l manage to make layers on top os the sink then l putted on top of the drain , theres no more hotel available so l also cover the drain on the floor and inside os the sink .
This hotel is near the Fairmount so l managed to book a spa so this way l was able to take shower , on my way back from the spa l saw the hotel made and l explained about the problem she told me that when that happen all that they do is put Clorox down to the drain , l didn’t let her do that because it was very hot and it would be bad because of the fumes , l went to the front desk and notified them they told me that there’s nothing that they could do, l oam afraid of roaches but l managed to sleep with the lights on and the drains taped until the next day when l came back from breakfast early in the morning , l open the door , walked to my room and saw a big brown roach on top of my bed half way cover to my linens l screamed and she run very fast to the headboard, l went downstairs and notify the receptionist that l had to leave he told that he would appreciate my discretion not to tell anyone, so l lost my money because l booked from Expedia so

The location of the hotel is great, it’s right across the street from the beach! The view from the rooftop patio is also mazing!! However the room, common areas, and breakfast are not ideal ( at least not for an 4 star hotel) Our room was clean, but it needed updating, and maintenance. The carpet in the hallways was really old and had a smell to it.

The staff was courteous. The room is ok old hotel slightly remodeled. There are many items needed improvement in the room. Shower room has missing piece of tiles, plug in outlet loose came off the wall, etc…The only reason I booked this hotel base on outdated pictures outside and inside. The balcony on the 13th floor is nice. You can capture good photo of part of Copacabana beach.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect position located at the southern end of Copacabana and 5 mins walk from Ipanema.

We've stayed here twice and would always come back.

We booked the wrong room on the second booking and the guys on reception did their absolute best to find us a the best room they had.

I would strongly advise paying the bit extra for the sea view and generally to be at the front of the hotel.

The cocktail bar on the roof has an amazing view along the beach

Room wasn't ready when we arrived early. We waited an hour until check in and then they still couldn't find us a room. After another hour i think they put us in their worst room. Room was fine. Nothing special. Window opened into a brick wall. No view. TV was unwatchable.

Breakfast was good, lots of variety. Nice roof top with table service, a gym and a very small pool. Too cold to use. Stunning view from the roof. Great location for both main beaches.

The first room I received was terrible. The sheets were stained. The pillowcases were stained. The bathroom was dirty as though no one even took time to wipe the vanity so I requested another room. The staff were accommodating and gave me another room. It was cleaner but the sheets and pillowcases and towels are very very old. It need to be replaced. They were also stained. The only good thing about this hotel that he did have stunning views from the top of the roof and the breakfast was pretty OK but if you are like me and you use to luxury hotels, this is not the place because the bed is very hard in each room.

What a wonderful surprised, starting with the checkin and specially a big kudos for the bellboy Rogerio whom not just help with tge baggage but set up the entire room and answering my questions with care and professionalism. The breakfast was fantastic. A variety of resh sweet fruits, eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon and fresh breads, cold cuts, chesses and delicious sweets. They have wonderful waiters taking care of all. Very polite and professional. A big compliments to the waiter, William and Bryan with the fresh juices, cold water and a delicious cafe com leite, fresh brewed coffe and heat tasty milk been served at the table. Its a small hotel but well designed that make us feel very comfortable. The upper floor has a nice pool a nice deck with a gym room and the most beautiful view of the Copacabana beach shore. Stunning!!! My congratulations in general for the excellent and professional stuff that this gem hotel at the wonderful Rio de Janeiro city.

Very basic but comfortable and easy! No thrills property on a budget! You get what you pay for and orła does offer a great location and a nice rooftop deck. Rooms are decent in sure but very basic. Had issues with my AC so I had to switch my rooms. aC was never quite strong but if it runs constantly it can cool down the room. Bathrooms get extremely hot and humid. Pay for a room with a view

We were on a budget and knew we wouldn’t be spending too much time in the room as we were only in Rio a few days. However the room had a view of air conditioning units and was on floor two next to a shower room for all guests, meaning it wasn’t the quietest and was quite loud at time even early in the morning. If we were staying for longer I’d recommend paying for a room upgrade in hopes that resolves those problems. However it’s an ideal location, the staff are all super friendly and helpful and overall it’s a lovely hotel.

Poor value for money. For reference i paid 550USD/night for a standard room which is far too much for what i got. The room I stayed in was grim and outdated with a lingering smell of old pipes. Some members of the staff seemed indifferent, with little effort to be welcoming—certainly not the level of service you’d hope for in a hospitality setting.
That said, the location is a plus. If you’re looking to stay near Copacabana, it sits right at the edge, making it convenient for both Copacabana and Ipanema. But overall, for the price paid, I expected much better.

Staff got me a room at 11am on the day of check in, way earlier than the regular check in time, that is awesome because I needed some sleep from a redeye flight. I checked out at 12pm but stored my luggage and they have shower facility for a fee of less than US$3 which is very inexpensive. The breakfast was awesome, so much selection in the buffet. The pool is small, I did not use but the steam room on the rooftop one floor above the pool works really good. I’ve been to Rio 11 times and I stayed different hotels and this is highly recommended. All the staff I met was courteous and friendly.

A great location to enjoy Copacabana beach. Friendly staff and clean environment. We enjoyed the roof bar for a drink, late afternoon. Found a nice beach bar restaurant (Tropik) across the road for dinner. Didn’t like to go much further at night.
