The overall experience was pretty average for a chain brand. The air-condition was quite noisy - guests who are minded abt this detail, do take note. The buffet breakfast, whilst there was variety was very mediocre. The location was good, it being just 5 minute walk from the beach front/promenade. If you dont speak Spanish/Portuguese whilst visiting Brazil, the experience for tourists is very poor. So this will affect customer service. Thankfully, the check-in staff spoke decent English.

The hotel is just a block away from the metro and and a couple of blocks from the beach. There's heaps of food options nearby and it's easier to get anywhere in the city from it.

Staff was a joy, rooms are standard Ibis rooms which are consistently good anywhere in the world. I would definitely recommend to stay at the hotel if you are coming to Rio.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years.
Its location is great and the staff friendly.
This time, the reception and housekeeping staff were excellent as usual.
I feel though the hotel is showing a little wear and tear and could do with some refurbishment. The elevators keys didn’t work, sometimes out of action. Bathrooms in the rooms are old and there are cracks in the paint or plasterwork.
The rooms also have very old TVs which aren’t capable of being linked up
To social media apps or phones - I would expect a Smart TV in a hotel in 2025 to be able to link up my social media and entertainment apps.
It’s a great hotel though, great location and the staff super. I’ll come back.

O hotel esta decadente, precisando de uma reforma urgente. Tudo velho, o quarto e banheiro horriveis. Alem disso a limpeza nao foi feita nos 5 dias que fiquei no hotel. A camareira so trocava as toalhas e arrumava a cama. Nao limpou o banheiro, o chao e o vaso ficavam sujos. Roupa de cama e de banho pessimas. Até os elevadores estão estragados.

A localização desse Ibis é perfeita e tem de tudo por perto: restaurantes, farmácias, lojinhas, mercados e, claro, a praia. As ruas são bem tranquilas, mas é importante ficar atento aos riscos de andar em Copacabana. O único ponto que acho que o Ibis precisa melhorar urgentemente é a qualidade das toalhas e dos lençóis, que são de baixa qualidade. Meu lençol, inclusive, não tinha um cheiro agradável.

I have stayed at this facility many times in the past. The staff changes frequently. The check in process has become terrible. I did not get a room until 3:30. To be honest I have stayed there over 100 times. The previous manager and staff used to treat me like a VIP. Now I wait 8 and a half hours for a room. They must be cutting cost by decreasing the staff that cleans rooms. My Travel buddies have also noticed a change for the worse in their service. They have to improve or they will loose alot of customers. It seems like they do not care because with alot of corporate Hotels ..they feel there will always be a new client. As many times as I have stayed there.. I feel I deserve a little better treatment. 😌

I had to check out after only staying for one night of our reservation due to health concerns.
I am asthmatic and after discovering black mold growing on the wooden doorframe in the bathroom, I was left with no choice but to check out.
This was not the only issue as the sheets were also stained and the duvet appeared to not be cleaned for a very long time with unpleasant stains and came in direct contact with my skin as there was no duvet cover and the sheet was placed over top of the duvet which is very odd and is not at all hygenic when these bedding items do not seem to be washed!
Extremely poor customer service, no attempt by management to resolve the issues raised.

Habitación y baño sucios y con pobre mantenimiento

El hotel está muy bien ubicado. La atención de los empleados de la recepción es buena aunque, en ocasiones, hay una sola persona atendiendo y muchos huéspedes esperando ser atendidos. Las habitaciones son silenciosas y casi no se siente ruido de las otras habitaciones o del pasillo, lo cual es bueno. Los colchones y almohadas son cómodos pero se ven sucios. Mi observación desfavorable tiene relación con la limpieza de la habitación. Había cosas chorreadas por los huéspedes anteriores en las paredes y el espejo del baño. Yo limpié eso con paños húmedos y salió sin problema. Hay hongos en el marco de la puerta del baño y en las uniones de los azulejos de la ducha. Hay marcas de humedad en una pared del baño. Las toallas están viejas y ajadas. Para la ropa de cama, solo pusieron sábanas arriba del cobertor y no debajo que es la parte que está en contacto con el cuerpo. Hay polvo y pelusas en las paredes y muebles. Un día no me dejaron toallas en la habitación y otro día tuve que pedir que hagan la limpieza porque eran las 6 de la tarde y no la habían hecho. Da la idea de que el personal de limpieza y mantenimiento no tiene ninguna supervisión. La limpieza de una habitación de hotel es un tema fundamental para mi y mi familia y este hotel no cumplió mis expectativas para un alojamiento de 3 estrellas.

Amenities could be upgraded a bit. They offer no cup or glass in rooms nor do they have wash cloths. It was a struggle to get a wine glass. Wifi was extremely spotty needs a bigger and faster connection. It would also be greatvif at least the operator spoke a few different languages with english being one of them.

I liked that the hotel is close to everything and it is affordable. What i didn't like was i got to the hotel around 930am, and i was told my room would not be available until 230pm. Huge disappointment and very aggravating. I was tired from my flight and wanted to rest. Several others went through the same thing. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain well. Also the hotel charged my friend dinner that he never ordered and wanted him to pay 30 dollars for it. Its a decent hotel but i wont be staying there again.

This hotel is about three blocks from the beach and reasonable. Although the room was small, it was very clean with a comfortable bed. The housekeeping was very good in providing towels,soap,etc. and the staff was very friendly and helpful, and addressed all my concerns. There is a buffet was which was quite good(the pork loin was well seasoned , tender and tasty) and at a reasonable price. Nearby the main street has just about everything one needs with a vast amount of stores, supermarkets and restaurants Overall I was very satisfied and hope to return to Rio and this hotel again.

The hotel was not appropriately staffed to accommodate guests. I waited in line for 1.5 hour to check in, only to be told my room wasn't ready yet. I was surprised too that the staff spoke very little English. The room was basic, but mostly clean. The breakfast was a disaster with no available seating and most of the food was empty. It was really messy. I think it comes down to lack of staffing. Overall a basic stay in Copacabana.

I have stayed at this property in the past and usually have been satified. This trip my toilet broke and the front desk staff did not seem to know it is an emergency. After about 16 hours of a non-functioning toilet . The very nice manager was able to get the problem fixed. Like all Corporations trying to make a profit they are understaffed at the front desk and cant get it done.

This place was an absolute gem! The staff were incredible, almost always had someone on site that spoke English too. The breakfast was WAY better than expected and the pool bar staff were incredibly sweet. It’s family run. As in the dad runs the bar and grill them mom serves and the kids play pool. They were so nice! Really one of the best parts of our stay was booking this hotel to save us from another place we were supposed to stay at.

Hotel have a great location, next to the tube and 5 min to the beach. Good location just on the edge of Copacabana and Ipanema (great beach for sunsets). Definitely recommend it.
