I stayed at the Regency Copacabana Hotel in Rio de Janeiro from March 3–9, 2026, and unfortunately had a very concerning experience. During my stay in Room 908, I discovered bedbugs in the bed and have photos documenting them. By the time I realized the issue, I had already been bitten from head to toe. After reporting the problem, I was moved to Room 1108. The front desk staff were polite, but they seemed largely unconcerned about the seriousness of the situation and I was offered no compensation. Bedbugs are a serious sanitation issue and in my opinion the entire hotel should be inspected and treated by a professional pest management company. While the hotel’s location is convenient and close to Copacabana Beach and many restaurants, I would not recommend staying here until the property has been fully inspected and treated for pests.

AC unit wasn’t running properly when I got there. But it worked fine the 2nd day, maybe the remote control batteries were old. The bathroom was minuscule, and the toilet bowl was running a little water. They need to maintain their facilities better. The staff was friendly and professional, kudos to them!

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. It was convenient, within walking distance of so many cool places. The property was clean, the breakfast delicious, and the staff was awesome. The only downside was that the building is on the older side and does show signs of needed maintenance.

Otimo hotel proximo a praia de Copacabana e fácil acesso pra ir para outras, comercio do lado do hotel, atendimento muito bom da recepção, limpeza, cafe da manha. We booked 3 rooms total for our family. I got room next to water pump and elevators. The sound of water running & people using elevators interrupted my sleep almost every night of our stay.

Most disturbing issue water WIFI in my room was so terrible, I couldn’t get any work done. We had asked the hotel agent to help several times and their responses were, the tech is working remotely and to inform them if it’s still not working.

Honestly, we like the area. It has markets, dinners, cafes within walking distance.

They need to improve their WiFi service and customer services.

The room was a little bit tight, there is not enough space or maybe, furniture for luggage or clean clothes. The bed were confortable, pillows need renovation.
Patio view is no view at all.
Staff was very kind, very respectful.

Centrally located and close to Copacabana Beach and many restaurants. Breakfast included. Cold mini fridge. Staff was attentive. They would call taxis for us. Rooms had excellent A/C. Water pressure was excellent in the shower. Hot water was never ending. Staff spoke some English and Spanish. Bed was comfortable, but could be better.

Not all rooms are updated. Not all rooms have safes. Some rooms have safe but not working. I was put into a very small room at first, with no window. Requested to be moved. The other room was bigger with an inside window, but the bathroom was old, not too clean, sewer smell would come up the pipes. Had to maintain the bathroom door closed. Very noisy cleaning crew in the mornings. Towels in the rooms were very old and almost tattered. Had to request change of towels often.

For the price, I expected a better room/bathroom experience.

Property is close enough to walk to the beach (7 mins) and along the route were restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, clothing stores, and electronic stores for cell phone power converter/charging. The breakfast buffet had the freshest local fruits plus a range of meats and pastries/breads. Staff was friendly and always available around the clock. Rooms were clean and plenty of towels and toilettries were available.

Minha estadia no hotel Regency foi tranquila e agradável! O hotel se encontra em reformas e como cheguei no hotel pela parte da manhã antes do check-in decidi guardar a minha mala com o bagageiro para dar uma volta até o horário do check in, o hotel cobra o valor de RS 20,00 como taxa para guardar a mala. Quando voltei para fazer o check in fui acomodada em um quarto duplo no 3 terceiro andar e justamente acima do andar aonde está acontecendo uma reforma, e pedi para trocar de andar porque eu estava muito cansada depois de 15 horas de um voo internacional, mencionei esse pedido na recepção quando fiz o check in e mesmo assim me colocaram nesse andar, liguei para recepção e gentilmente pedi para trocar de andar e fui acomodada no 6 sexto andar em um quarto single o que foi o melhor porque estou viajando sozinha. O quarto possui frigobar, TV a cabo, Wi-Fi e o sistema de ar condicionado funcionou muito bem. O banheiro não possui uma porta de vidro dupla no box e isso faz com que muita água se espalhe no chão do banheiro ao se tomar banho. Fui acomodada em um andar silêncio portanto como há uma brecha na porta do quarto é possível escutar barulho de outros hóspedes e pela manhã se escuta a governança trabalhando nos quartos vizinhos (porém neste dia eu resolvi dormir até um pouco mais tarde). A equipe do hotel foi bem receptiva e em especial a equipe do café da manhã, sempre muito simpáticos e agradáveis. Nota 100 para os funcionários do Regency!!!!!

O hotel é super bem localizado, o quarto confortável, e um bom café da manhã. entretanto o Wifi oscilava o tempo todo e eu nao consegui acessar a internet de meu quarto. A TV era smart mas tb não consegui acessar netflix. Tinha os canais convencionais, mas não tinha a Globo, e eu só assisto a Globo. Como estava chegando de viagem e ia sair no dia seguinte, queria ficar no quarto de boa, mas sem Wifi e nem meu 4 G pegando direito no quarto, não deu!

La 1ère chambre attribuée ne correspondait pas ni de près à celle visible sur le site. L'excuse du personnel de l'accueil m'indiquant que c'était bien la prestation pour laquelle j'avais payé plus de 250€ la nuit, pendant la période du Carnaval était inadmissible : chambre sans lumière naturelle, sombre, vieillotte. Après avoir expliqué le mr de l'accueil très désagréable et malhonnête, m'a proposé autre chambre avec deux lits doubles mais avec un payement supplémentaire. Je n'était pas d'accord, je voulais une chambre double standard comme celle du site Hotels.com que j'ai réservé. Le type m'a dit qu'il n'était pas responsable des photos de son hôtel, qu'il fallait consulter le site de l'hôtel directement. Mais la dite chambre viellote n'était pas visible sur leur site non plus. Après 1h30 de moqueries du type de l'accueil et de gueuler pour faire respecter mes droits, il m'a attribué une chambre égal à celle du site, MAIS avec un toilette qui puait. Le soir et le lendemain j'ai fait part à deux autres personnes de l'accueil qui ont compris la problématique et qui ont trouvé une solution pour moi, avec une chambre digne de ce nom.
On paye pour un service ce n'est pas gratuit. L'accueil hautaine et grossière de votre collègue m'a fait perdre 2 jours. C'est abusif de mettre des prix exorbitants pour des chambres en mauvais état.

Quarto pequeno, quando chegamos o banheiro estava com o lixo cheio e o box com cabelo e areia, além de ter apenas 2 toalhas num quarto quádruplo, estávamos em 3 pessoas e ao solicitar uma nova toalha, falaram que não havia mais governança e nem toalhas limpas, um dos adultos teve que tomar banho e se secar com toalha de rosto. Quarto reformado, porém o banheiro não tem ventilação, então logo ficará com mofo devido à umidade, por isso o ar condicionado tem que ficar ligado com alta ventilação para diminuir a umidade do quarto após o banho. Atendimento de check in e check out demorado, apenas um ante dente. Local do café da manhã fica bem bagunçado e com alguma sujeira, os talheres tem que ser solicitados. Os elevadores são pequenos, então em horários de pico demora para conseguir usar. A localização é boa.

De bom, só o café da manhã. O quarto que fiquei parecia hotel de beira de estrada. Uma pia minúscula, sem bancada, onde o hotel apoiou tudo: papel higiênico, shampoos, sabonete. Nem se quisesse dava para apoiar nem a escova e pasta de dente. Uma privada no mesmo nível, daquelas de dez reais na Leroy Merlin. Fiquei até surpreso do box de de vidro e não de plástico....
Roupas de cama e toalhas bem experientes, mas pelo menos não estavam furadas. Não volto nunca mais, não é três estrelas, não vale o preço

Quarto não condiz com as fotos do site. Totalmente antigo, banheiro horrível com vazamento, me senti em um quarto de hotel do centro da cidade mais baixo nível possível. O hotel estava lotado, café tá manhã faltava tudo, desde pão até prato, xícara, talheres. Mesas sujas. O cartão magnético da porta nunca funcionava, quando saia tinha que ir na portaria para magnetizar novamente. Nunca na vida fiquei em um quarto tão ruim e um café da manhã tão confuso. Pior escolha da vida, viajo muito para Copacabana e nunca tive uma experiência parecida com essa. Os funcionários são solícitos e queridos mas o hotel deixa a desejar em tudo.

Cheguei cedo da manhã e sei que o check in e somente às 14hs, mas fui atrás de pagar uma taxa que eu sei que existe no hotel, porém o recpcionista não fez questão de procurar um quarto, deu um castigo num sofá desconfortável na recepção (único), chegou a hora do quarto, ar condicionado com uma goteira grande quando ligava, falta de manutenção. Reclamamos e fomos pra outro quarto, estava pingando também, molhando o quarto todo, a cama afundada e quebrada, dessa vez ficamos pra não ter reclamação! Banho bem bom, com muita pressão e água bem quente! Na hora de ir embora, checkout, foi apresentado uma nota de consumo que tinham 2 chocolates que realmente minha filha pegou, só que foram repostos, pois compramos no supermercado, daí questionei se poderia tirar, pois tinha reposto, daí o atendente puxou o papel da minha mão grosseiramente que tomei um susto e falou que não precisava pagar, pois se tirasse um item iria ter que tirar todos. Tivemos uma ótima experiência! A acomodação é confortável, com cama boa e roupas de cama e banho sempre limpas e cheirosas.

O atendimento foi excelente do início ao fim — todos muito solícitos e gentis. Um cuidado que fez toda a diferença: esquentaram a comida da minha bebê todos os dias com muito carinho.

O café da manhã é delicioso, com o básico feito com capricho e várias opções diferentes a cada dia. O chuveiro é MARAVILHOSO (difícil encontrar igual!).

O quarto era limpo e arrumado diariamente, sempre com um cheirinho ótimo. Também adoramos a estrutura: Wi-Fi bom, TV smart com vários apps já instalados, e tomadas 110V e 220V (todas identificadas) tanto no quarto quanto no banheiro.

A localização é excelente: perto de tudo (tudo mesmo!) e a poucos metros da praia. Há ainda um espaço em frente ao hotel que facilita bastante o embarque e desembarque de Uber.

Recomendo muito!

Boa localização e ótimo café da manhã, mas dos 4 dias que fiquei, 2 não tinha wi-fi no quarto! Na primeira noite já pedi para verificarem e só foram arrumar no terceiro dia! Não abriram o chamado para o tecnico vir 2x! Só na terceira reclamação que resolveram, mas ja havia se passado 2 dias!
Nosso apto era embaixo do restaurante, ou seja, 6h30 da manhã já tinha barulho de mesa e cadeira sendo arrastadas.
O gerente Vinicius foi muito atencioso, apesar de afirmar q só recebeu nossa reclamação do wi-fi depois de 2 dias.

O hotel tem uma boa localização. A limpeza do quarto e café da manhã deixam a desejar. Reservamos um quarto para família e disponibilizaram um quarto menor com
apenas uma cama de casal, reclamamos e foi resolvido.
