The best feature that the hotel has is location. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and helpful .
However , the rooms had very bad stained towels and sheets . The AC unit was old that it didn’t work properly.

Room was súper small and outdated. Ac worked ok but I had extreme problem of mosquitos. There was only a bar of soap and no shampoo. I had to get my card magnetized each day. This is tough being in the 12 floor. Internet was extremely terrible also. I tried ordering Ubers to places and would struggle to complete my work.

Terrible hotel labeled as 3 star

Stayed 4 nights to watch Carnival. Location is good (only good thing for the stay). Hotel conditions are terrible. Labeled as 3 star hotel, but don't think it is better than any 1 or 2 star motels (in terms of US or Europe standard). Bath towels are dirt, suppose to be white but what we see is dirt yellow colors, looks like 20 years old towels even ripped off. Some staff are helpful, some not. I will not come back again.

This is on a busy street. The traffic has a lot of small engine motorcycles (loud). And drivers use their horns routinely to signal each other. About a third of the rooms are on the street side. And don't have much to mitigate the noise. Plus there was some kind of random tapping going on inside one of the walls. I tried to change rooms, but was told the hotel was full. I bailed after a couple of days of sleep deprivation. Ugh.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is they served the same breakfast every day!! I also had a disagreement with the front desk about visitors. It wasn’t explained thoroughly to me other than that the hotel serve purpose for me.

Excellent location 2 blocks feom copacabana. Now my favorite beach anywhere. RDJ isn't a perfect city but as long as you dont stray into where you shouldnt.go and do it is reasonably safe.
The beaches were amazing and Hotel Canada was a great deal for the price.
Not 5 star but it didnt lack any basic needs and cleanliness was aceptable.

Great budget option! Clean, good air conditioning & hot water, good breakfast, nice staff, only 1 block up from center of Copa Beach!, surrounded by tons of shops & restaurants, & totally safe area. But note: rooms are very basic, so don't go looking for elegance. Again, great budget option (especially if you can get online for under $50 US). (Note: Ubers are very cheap, esp the motorcycle taxis to jump around; & don't miss nightly outdoor samba party at Pedra do Sal - about 20 mins away in Centro but worth it!)

Great team, great service. Friendly place.

Stayed in this hotel a few times, various rooms/floors. It's very basic and dated but my experiences have been positive overall.
It's usually very clean but above all the staff are superb. Very helpful, very friendly...a winning team from the cleaners, porters to reception and cooks. Very pleased with the service and it makes up for what the building lacks (like charging/plug sockets in the rooms!) it is mostly good value, and the breakfast while simple..is good and fresh. Noise in some rooms is a little loud but I requested quieter rooms and had good success with that, comfortable sleep.

Great budget friendly hotel

The hotel was great for the price. It's nothing fancy but everything worked super well. The front desk staff were extra friendly, the housekeepers a little less but not enough to bother us. The breakfast was decent and the location amazing!! Booking it again next time I go to Rio!

They didn’t clean my room for 3 days or give me toilet paper despite various request from their WhatsApp. Called for them to clean my room and no one answered. This is my 110th night in a hotel this year alone. I’ve never seen anything like this. Breakfast is a zoo

We found many parasites crawling on our bed. The place is dirty and nasty. Looks very nice in the pictures but it is a nasty hotel.
We contact management they did not even apologized.
It was a night mare staying at this hotel.

Basic Hotel in a great location

A very basic hotel. Enough comfort completely satisfied - and absolutely nothing fancy. But it’s also extremely well priced. The staff are amazing and the lobby and general areas are clean. Breakfast is more than adequate. Location is five stars. Literally a block from famous Copacabana Beach.

Muy lindo hotel, habitación y cama muy cómodas. Hay dos detalles uno no tiene telefono en la habitación para comunicarse a la recepción por alguna eventualidad y el otro es que tuvimos que reclamar toallas un dia porque no habian dejado. El personal y la comodidad son espectaculares y sirven un completo desayuno.

Great Stay and location… steps from Copacabana beach. Professional staff, Special Thanks to Martins, Concierge, for all his help, and the Reception Person on arrival Sept 19 and the same person( on check out Sept 23) Sorry could not remember your name.
Large room, good linen & towels and toiletries.
And the fabulous breakfast!!!
Don’t forget to walk to Ipanema Beach- 2 klms.
Beautiful différent landscape.

Bring from Canada it seemed like the natural option to stay here. I have to say that the hotel staff here is the most helpful of anywhere I’ve ever stayed. Especially Afonso at the front, he answered all my many questions and helped me with my tour of the city! The hotel was comfortable and in a great location.

Good value for the price at a central location

This is a typical mid-level Brazilian hotel. I booked one of the more basic room categories and it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. AC was a trifle noisy but it worked. Plenty of hot water and functional Wifi. The breakfast was very good and varied and the staff (shout out for Ana and Martins) were friendly. The hotel is just a few blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the Metro station which will connect you quickly and easily to most destinations in Rio. This was excellent value for the location and a worthwhile pick if you are staying in Rio and don't want to break the bank.

WE just stayed for 2 nights not enough for a full assessment but for the 2 days was okay. We like the hotel it was near the beach and the and accessible to every thing except the shopping mall.

Nice hotel in the heart of Copacabana. It may not be a modern luxury hotel but it's cozy and comfortable. Only a five minute walk to the beach. The staff was very friendly and their English was excellent. And their breakfasts were amazing.

O quarto estava em condições aptas para habitação, muito embora o mesmo só tenha sido disponibilizado meia hora após o prometido, ou seja, 14h. Isso tudo apesar termos dado a entrada na recepção para o check-in às 9:00h da manhã.
A equipe da recepção tentou ser gentil, mas infelizmente se viu limitado pelo processo de gestão do hotel.

Na época de carnaval o hotel passando por reformas, corredores cheio de tintas, cheiro muito forte, paredes todas descascadas, sem disso a higiene do quarto péssima, pedimos para limparem o quarto e não limparam, isso por que está escrito no elevador que o serviço de quarto seria das 13:00 às 16:00, não trocaram lençóis, toalhas, equipamentos das recepção ao fazer o checkout não funcionavam, enfim maior caos que já vi em um hotel. Péssima experiência. Não recomendo esse hotel para ninguém.

A experiência no hotel foi bastante frustrante. Fizemos a reserva às 12h40 do próprio dia e chegamos às 13h40. Mesmo após realizar o check-in pelo sistema, só conseguimos entrar no quarto cerca de 50 minutos depois, aguardando na recepção sem qualquer atualização clara da equipe.
Ao retornar da praia, às 18h57, não conseguimos acessar o quarto com o cartão. Tentamos três vezes, inclusive após uma nova configuração no sistema, sem sucesso. O funcionário Igor precisou solicitar que alguém buscasse o equipamento necessário para ajustar a fechadura. Ficamos mais de 1 hora aguardando na recepção, passando frio e com a pizza esfriando — pedi a comida justamente para que chegasse a tempo de tomar banho, o que não aconteceu devido ao atraso.
Além disso, o hotel permitiu apenas 1 hora extra no checkout, o que não compensou todo o transtorno.
O quarto também deixou a desejar: ar-condicionado sem controle e poucas tomadas disponíveis, o que dificultou a estadia.
No geral, a experiência foi muito negativa e não correspondeu ao esperado.

Ao chegar na recepção fomos informados que o quarto só tinha cama de casal. Sendo que no site constava quarto com camas de solteiro. De acordo com as fotos também. Íamos pegar um quarto com 3 camas de solteiro mas acabamos optando por dois quartos para ficar mais confortável. Mesmo assim nenhum dos dois quartos estava com cama de solteiro disponível. Funcionários destreinados e desatentos. Para citar um exemplo, ao retornar de um passeio a atendente da recepção me entregou TRÊS vezes seguidas cartões de outros apartamentos. Ar condicionado de janela, velho, barulhento e ajuste de temperatura sem funcionar. Portas do armário não fecham, além de muito mofo. Cofre sem fechadura (????). Lençol manchado, toalhas velhas e cortina blackout avariada. Café da manhã com poucas opções e sem reposição (não vi funcionários da copa em nenhum dia durante estadia). O único ponto positivo é a localização, de resto, não vale o preço que cobram. Precisa de uma reforma urgente e melhorar treinamento dos colaboradores.

A equipe do hotel não resolveu nada e tinha muita coisa errada. Fui colocado em um quarto em
um último andar improvisado, que não tinha acesso por elevador. Precisava subir um andar adicional de escada. E o quarto não tinha nenhuma janela para o exterior. Sem ventilação e inseguro. Provavelmente irregular. Reclamei para a recepção e no aplicativo Hoteis.com. Este último indicou para eu falar com o gerente, mas o gerente não ficava no hotel e não me deu nenhum retorno. O chuveiro praticamente não saía água. Café da manhã também horrível. Tudo com aspecto de sujo e mal cuidado.

Excelente localização, com várias opções ao redor. O café da manhã é simples, mas atende. Porém, o hotel precisa investir urgentemente em enxoval: lençóis e toalhas estão velhos e amarelados, o que causa bastante desconforto. A cama também é desconfortável, com molas que chegam a machucar. Seria um investimento básico, mas que faria toda a diferença.

O banheiro precisa de manutenção: o assento está em péssimo estado e a lixeira não abre com o pedal, obrigando a levantar a tampa com a mão. São detalhes simples que o hotel poderia resolver.

No restante, a estadia foi tranquila.
