El hotel esta super mega bien ubicado en copa cabana. Pero es un hotel viejo con muchas precariedades. Creo que es un hotel para viajes de poco presupuesto ya que es barata una habitacion con 4 camas. Las camas un poco incomodas, los baños un poco falta de higiene, no por falta de limpieza, sino por lo viejo del hotel. El ascensor bien rayo y nunca pudimos disfrutar del desayuno ya que el espacio era extremadamente pequeño y habia que hacer largas filas.

We had a really disappointing and dissatisfying stay at this property. Upon arriving after 3 flights, all we wanted was a shower and to go to sleep. The water was freezing cold, and when we asked for help we were met with nothing and were told to wait until tomorrow. Every single night of our stay the same thing happened and we were met with nothing from the staff. Upon asking to speak with a manager, again we were told to wait for the morning, and every morning were told that the manager was not working. We booked this hotel because a safe was pictured but upon arrival, again, nothing but disappointment. There was no safe door attached and it took them 2 full days to install. In addition, WiFi only worked in the lobby and we wasted a ton of our (quite expensive) cellular package as a result. The staff did not help with anything and we got 0 compensation from the hotel. We paid a premium price for a very below average stay and would not recommend at all.

This hotel is a “get what you pay for”. I stayed in 3 different rooms over my 3 week trip. Each room had dirty curtains and chipped floors and walls and needed a makeover. For clarification they were all their budget rooms so I can’t speak for the state of the more expensive rooms. It’s a good location. Close to beach. Lots of food options nearby. Would I stay here again? Probably if I wanted a budget option.

Great location. About a 5 minute walk to the beach and surrounded by several restaurants, an ATM and a few shops.

The rooms are small and tight. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were well used and flat. The AC took hours to reach a comfortable temperature. Bathroom was tiny but there was always hot water. Breakfast was great.

Personally I found all the front staff borderline unfriendly and unhelpful. They spoke English and Spanish in addition to Portuguese but appeared disinterested in helping. However other staff were really pleasant.

Overall I'd recommended this hotel if you just need a place to sleep and shower and want to be by the beach.

the hotel was old not well maintained ,my wife from rio was not allowed to come up to my room and just grab anything from the room because I did not pay for here and they say sex tourism is the trouble but they saw her everyday for two weeks .the hotel was lower scale than I have ever been in.DONT STAY HERE

Quite nice for a Rio visit

Great location, with access and connections to all major sights. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and maintained, although some chipped spots appear over the tiles. Breakfast is good too. This hotel is in the middle of a busy, around the clock running city, so do not expect quiet and restful environment. A variety of shops, diners and restaurants, provide you with plenty of options to choose. The beach is at just 5 min. walking distance.

Has everything what you need.
Air conditioning, a bed, a bathroom, wifi ... the breakfast is very simply.
Place is safe, the stuff is friendly (also english speaking) and the rooms are clean.

Beach is only two streets away, also the subway.
On the other street side it has a shop with delicious fruit drinks and good food.

Good if you're staying just a couple of days.

The staff is one of the most wonderful I have ever met, they help you in all possible ways. It has a nice location near the beach and it's not expensive.
Although it looks great in photo, the real hotel has a small elevator, pretty stretch hallway and the rooms are very very small. The bathroom is clean but looks old and very ugly.
If you're planning to stay for a couple of days (like I did) or don't care about how the room looks, go for it. If you want to stay more days or if you're going for something romantic, spend some more and go to another hotel.

Amazing Location and Hotel

This is the perfect hotel to stay at while in Rio. Perfectly situated, about 2 blocks from the Copacobana beach and easy 2/3 min taxi drive to Ipanema beach. Safe neighbourhood to walk in at night and lots of food places.
The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable, room service everyday (if you want). You may want to learn a few basic Portuguese phrases or get an offline dictionary as not everyone working at the hotel speaks perfect english, but all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice, clean and close to everything I wanted to visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was awesome!
There is a Big Bi juice bar across the road and the beach was just two blocks away. Banks, post office and shops were just a short stroll too ... I would recommend this to anyone coming to Rio for a short break.

Had a very comfortable stay in Apa hotel. I arrived at 6am after a long ride on overnight bus. The staff was so nice to let me have a room immediately to relax and catch up some sleep. This is not a luxury hotel but I feel at home with their balcony and bed is comfy. Another plus is it's super clean, praise for the staff who maintain this aged hotel so well. Breakfast, however, tend to be rather basic.

Great Value

I had a three day stay March 2014, and found everyone I came in contact with very helpful. The front desk, doormen, and breakfast staff, all were great people, and always willing to be of service. My room and bath were nice size, and I enjoyed the balcony. The mini bar worked very well and large enough for all my water and juice. There is one thing I wish the hotel would reconsider; providing an iron & board.
The location was only two blocks from the beach. The location also offered shopping, all types of places to eat, corner stores for snacks, and a larger market all within 3-4 block walk. If you branch out a few more blocks the above options would be even greater, plus you will be able to observe daily life of the locals. Meter cabs are every where and easy to catch. There is a metro station near by, and city buses to the other beaches run past the hotel every 2-3 mins. I like to walk, and found the area to be safe. Bus line 2018 will take you from the airport to the Copacabana Palace Hotel (you should ask the driver to stop there). Then it is one block south, two blocks west, and you are at the front door. The cost is R$13.5 one way. The ride is 90 mins long. ONLY exchange what money you may need to get to your hotel at the airport ONLY. The rates are much better at the money exchange found on the street. On my next Stay in Rio, I plan to stay at the APA Hotel because of their rate, service, and willingness to be helpful.

This is a nice hotel for a short stay in Rio. It's location is perfect! It's staff is caring and helpful, though communication in English is a challenge. The hotel is outdated, but has all necessities. The rates are very reasonable and include air-conditioning, breakfast and free wi-fi. I am not a picky eater, but the breakfast was plain.

Nice stay, friendly staff, really good breakfast buffet. Fridge with drinks in the bedroom, i got one bottle of water out of it and they wanted to charge me for three, so i had to complain and they were agreeable. Bathroom a bit dated. Great location 2 blocks from Copacabana beach, and close to bus stop that will take you to and bring you from Cosme Velho for the tram to Corcovado. A few convenience stores in the area.

Excellent Copacabana Value

We spent a week at the Apa Hotel and can think of nothing negative to say about it. The location is perfect--in a very safe area only two blocks from Copacabana Beach, maybe three blocks from a Metro Station (Cardeal Arcoverde), city bus stops right around the corner, lots of restaurants in all price ranges, shopping, parks, etc., etc. All of the staff are very professional, pleasant and helpful. Our room was kept spotlessly clean, as were the common areas. The satellite TV included several English language channels (e.g., CNN and ESPN) and we never had a problem accessing the free wi-fi. The free breakfast was excellent--fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, ham, cheese, eggs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice--and the staff kept the buffet table constantly full. We look forward to our next trip to Rio and will definitely return to the Apa Hotel.

The Apa Hotel is a mere two blocks from Copacabana beach, is in a safe neighborhood to travel or go out to dinner at night, and was perfect for me as a single woman traveling alone. I would tour in the day and have the prefect pit stop there before hitting the beach. The staff was friendly, curteous, and cared about my wellbeing, my trip and spoke to me in English. The morning breakfast was very nice, there is a safe in your room and a mini fridge, airconditioner, and small balconies in some rooms. The paint on the wall is chipping and there were ants in the bathroom, but if you can go for a no-frills room in a safe area with nice staff, this is the place and the price was right.

Outdated, horrible room!

I stayed at the hotel and, although the location is not bas, the room (room 422) was horrible. Located on a double entrance, single door (ASK NOT TO STAY ON THAT ONE) this room was absolutely impossible to sleep on. It faces the street and it is very noisy, the beds were too small, the bathroom very old.
Will never stay there again.

Room size was adequate but no real drawers for clothing, only closet with a few hangers were available. The TV set kept losing the picture. The airconditioner worked fine and the room was well cleaned and stocked each day. The staff were courteous and some actually spoke English which helped alot. The breakfast provided was quite adequate and was available until 11am. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was not the best I have stayed in but it was conveniently located and the surrounding neighborhood was ok. We used the bus service to move around and we picked it up one street away and was dropped off right at the corner of our hotel. If you are over 200 lbs, i suggest you get another hotel because the bathroom would not be able to accomodate you. It was a stand up and if I dropped the soap, I could not bend down to pick it up and I weigh 140 lbs.
If you are looking for somewhere to just rest your head then this is the place for you. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. The Copa beach was 3 block away, walking distance, and to get to some sight seeing you just needed to take the bus. Of course there are shopping within walking distance which make the location convenient. The staff were friendly and very accomodating. The breakfast was the same every morning and you get free internet access in the lobby waiting area. They even changed our US $ for us.

Nos alojamos 2 noches, éramos dos adultos y un niño. La habitación es excelente, cómoda y grande, al igual que el baño.
El hotel es un poco antiguo, el ascensor es pequeño para tantos huéspedes, y como nos alojábamos en el 2do piso nos resultó más cómodo subir y bajar por las escaleras.
Durante nuestra estadía tuvimos problemas con el ingreso a la habitación, teníamos que solicitar ayuda del personal de recepción porque funcionaba mal el ingreso con la tarjeta, lo cual era molesto porque cada vez que llegábamos teníamos que pedir que nos abran la puerta.
El lugar donde servían el desayuno es demasiado pequeño. La comida bien y personal de cocina amable.
Para guardar valijas te cobran un precio extra ($30 reales) sin embargo debo destacar que nos imprimieron nuestras tarjetas de embarque sin costo.
Lo mejor del hotel es que tiene muy buena ubicación, balcón con vista a la calle y cerca de todo.
Muy buena relación precio - calidad.

Equipe atenciosa, localização excelente, a única observação é em relação ao tamanho do elevador, muito pequeno, cabe somente 2 pessoas ou 1 pessoa e uma mala, como tenho fobia a lugares pequenos , tive que usar as escadas, sempre. S se a pessoa não tiver fobia, o hotel é muito bom.

A equipe de atendimento e limpeza são nota 10, mas infraestrutura do hotel é muito ruim, deixa a desejar em tudo, quartos e banheiros muito pequenos, moveis e camas velhos, elevadores so cabem duas pessoas e se tiver com bagagem, só cabe uma pessoa. Dificilmente voltarei

O Infinity é um Hotel antigo, mas muito bom. A cama é ótima. Ar condicionado silencioso. o chuveiro é perfeito. Localização perfeita. Café da manhã gostoso, com variedade de alimentos, mas o ambiente é realmente pequeno, mas, mesmo no feriado, em nenhum momento tivemos que aguardar.
