We chose Windsor Copa for the remaining days of our trip, and it proved to be a very solid choice. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from the beach, with plenty of excellent restaurants and amenities nearby. Its location also makes it easy to explore, with both Ipanema and Leblon beaches within walking distance.
The hotel itself is well maintained, and the staff were consistently professional and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a particularly great shower, always appreciated after a long day out. We stayed on the 11th floor and enjoyed a lovely view of the surrounding mountains, which added a nice touch to the experience.
While the rooms are perfectly functional and clean, they could benefit from some updates, particularly in terms of furniture and overall design, to better match the more modern feel of the lobby and common areas.
Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend Windsor Copa for its location, cleanliness, and welcoming service.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is excellent, with everything close by and many great restaurants just a short walk away. The beach is also just a few blocks from the hotel, which was very convenient.

The hotel itself is a bit old and could use some improvements and updates, but overall it was a comfortable stay.

Room was very clean and was cleaned very quickly each day, one day we were going out and had put the sign on our door for our room to be cleaned. Only got to the lobby before realised we needed something from our room and by the time we got back to our room someone had already started cleaning. Staff were extremely nice and very helpful. I left my bags in the lobby while I went to freshen up in the toilet when we arrived and they moved my bags into a cupboard to keep them safe, very grateful.

The proximity to the beach and to food was great. The outstanding part was their willingness to store our luggage before checkin. In addition, our flight got delayed and we needed an extra night. They were fully booked but they said we will store your luggage and you can use lobby as long as needed. We ended up checking out at 8 am but their words took do much stress off of us.

Overall, the stay was fantastic. The room was clean, the staff was so kind, and in a safe area for the holiday.

During my stay, I got very sick and was unable to enjoy the rest of my trip to Rio. However, the staff at Windsor Copa took incredible care of me. Their room service was outstanding and they even had an on-call doctor that comes to the hotel. This alleviated all of my stress as someone who was visiting and was unsure how to get treatment in another country. Every single staff member was fantastic. So kind and attentive. I can’t say enough amazing things about this property and would definitely stay here again.

We are a senior couple. We have stayed at the Windsor Copa Hotel over 20 times. Besides its excellent location, which is well-known, the hotel also boasts very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, and the meals are delicious. The hotel is 150 meters from Copacabana Beach, yet it's half the price of hotels on the first line. We'll be going again in March 2026. We've already booked our stay.

The hotel is a short walk to Copacabana beach and lots of restaurants. However, it’s a bit outdated. There was hair on the bed from previous hotel guest. The gym was super small and not enough equipment. The front desk lady was stand-offish and very unfriendly - no smile whatsoever. Insulation is poor and the room was freezing. I had to use more blankets and the thick blanket and had to turn off the A/C because using the thermostat didn’t make the room warmer.

I was there for 17 days. They had a power shutdown which they replace with a very large generator to provide power. But power would shot off and restart multiple times for short periods of time making banging noises which were very disturbing when happening overnights. This went on for 13 out of my 17 days there. With 2 shutdowns for approximately 3 hour to try to restore regular power.

My only request that concerned me was trying to get a late checkout, and asked a few times and was told to ask closer to my departure. The front desk manager an older gentleman spoke to me about this while answering me as if I was a stupid child which was quite disrespectful. The morning of my departure I asked and was refused a late checkout but was told I could stay in their lobby while waiting. The clerk helped me with the language barrier to order a cab to the airport and left.

With all the inconveniences of my stay due to issues with the hotel and the rude senior front desk management. Was not a very satisfying stay for the money I spent. This definitely makes my decision easy for where not to stay on returning!

The facility was a mess. The power wasn't working so they had a flatbed truck with three generators on sitting in front of the main entrance, the lone workout machine in the "gym" for lifting was broken. The power went out for several hours as they tried to fix things, etc. I was screeched awak at 5am by water goign through a pipe in the wall next to my bed. Just a nightmare.
The one bright point was the general manager who felt bad about everything and tried to make accomodation as best she could - giving me access to the gym in their other hotel and moving my room.

The ac didn’t work well, so it got stuffy a few times in the middle of the night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and well kept. Great restaurants and shops at walking distance; not to mention the beautiful Copacabana Beach. I would stay at this hotel again. And Mr. Altino (I think that’s his name), the very nice gentleman who works at the front door in the afternoons is the best!

The room was small, mold in the shower and one of the male staff was very rude when I checked in all because I asked for my forms in English before I sign anything. He refuse to give me a copy and said they’ll email it but NEVER DID. Then proceeded to say I couldn’t check in unless I signed because it’s the same thing on the Internet. He had a fade with curly bangs. I took a picture and will gladly send it wherever, I’m glad I landed first because I was able to switch my employees hotel to the Marriott and I made sure I didn’t pay for a single meal at the hotel. That one employee attitude cost them BIG! I flew from America and this was my first time in Brazil and using this hotel brand. I’LL STICK THE THE BRANDS I KNOW!

My room was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. I am an Expedia Platinum member but did not receive an upgrade. Very disappointing. The location is great and it's just a two minute walk to the Copacabana beach. The hotel staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was fine.

We had a wondeedul stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants with ease. The room was on the small side and the internet connection was really poor with the exception of the lobby, please note the fitness suite is also very basic with 2 running machines 2 bikes, a crosstrainer (that was out of seevice during our stay) as well as some basic weights and a weight machine. I would still definitely recommend if you're lookong for a clean hotel in an ideal location, as always with accomodation in major cities the cost of being idealy situated will be what dictates how much you're charged.

We stayed during the carnival, to be honest i booked it because it was one of the cheapest during this period, so wasnt expecting much.
However the minute we got out of the taxi, the doorman and reception staff were excellent and very helpful, courteous, especially Johnathan on reception.
The room was ok but clean, the shower was just amazing in terms of the water pressure.
We had dinner innthe restaurant for just one night and wished we had eaten there more often as it was really good, breakfast was also good.
Two minutes walk from the copacabana beach inwould definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at the Windsor Copa are hard working and do their best to provide excellent service for their customers. As an english speaking visitor, there are several employees who are bilingual and can assist you when needed. Everything that you need is within walking distance of the hotel. Should I be in this area again, I would definitely choose the Windsor Copa.

Regarding safety, the best advice I was given by a Carioca is to 'blend in' and do not give someone a reason to take what you have ie. constantly looking at your cellphone on the street/beach, wearing expensive jewelry.

The rooms are only cleaned to a bare minimum every morning, there was a noise coming from the ceiling which a staff member said it could be the draining of the air conditioning.

almost every morning the towels and toilet paper were not fully replaced.

The hotel does not allow for visitors unless an additional fee is paid and registered.

I stayed over Carnival. The hotel was in a fantastic location, 2 mins from the beach and a Havainas store!. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great too. Overall the rooms were fairly basic (simple furniture, no tea/coffee making facilities) but still clean and in good condition. It was expensive over carnival but much better value than other places my friends stayed

Not a good service by the reception stuff. Breakfast is nice. Very old room. No electricity near bed - you must move the bed to use electricity for charging your phone :-/.
The elevators are very slow... Sometimes it takes 5-7 mins untill you catcgh one. No other guests allowed :-\ so my friend couldnt get up to my room.
So.. Its nice hotel but I wouldnt stay there again. Sorry.

Liked the friendly and very helpful staff. Appreciated close proximity to beach, banks, restaurants, etc. housekeeping did very nice job and all very courteous.

Bed was a little old and two twins pulled together which created a wooden jump in middle where two frames meet. Otherwise good though.

I had an issue with the hot water in my shower. I noted it, and the hotel responded, but unfortunately it was not corrected. I was told that it had been addressed, but the next morning, the water still did not get hot. I was not able to take a shower as the temperature was a bit chilly.
