This hotel sits right at Copacabana beach at a rather older building that has been renovated.
The rooms are rather spacious. The shower is amazing!

No rooftop no pool.....on copacabana beach....the lobby have a feel of 60s opulence which was exciting..breakfast was great...our bathroom had a leak from the top and they kept saying they have no other rooms until they finally moved us. Next day we had a water isuue for 3 hours. They did not offer us anything extra for our inconvenience.

Very olde-world fancy. Comfortable beds, great view over Copacabana beach. Awesome dining room (air con was a bit overzealous) but the breakfast seemed to be mostly very rich cakes. I was happy with cereal and yoghurt, and very pleased that it was included in the rate. They were very accommodating to store our luggage until check in the day we arrived.

Wi-Fi didn’t work until my last day. Had to pay to go to a coworking space everyday to use the internet. Hidden charges not in ANY documentation at all. Charged me for visitors and didn’t say a word about it. Confirmed with manager that it’s not on any documentation. I will NEVER be back.

Good value hotel facing the ocean. It's worth getting a room with sea view - a little more expensive, but worth it, as some rooms only have interior windows and no view at all. Good breakfast included, although it could offer more healthy options (and less sweets and cakes). All staff was very friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, although the hotel needs some upgrading.

I had an excellent experience! The staff from front desk to restaurant to door men were friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were excellent for the price with great AC and shower! They worked with my early arrivals and late departures when they had a room available. Front desk were bilingual and the staff that did not speak English were extremely gracious with my limited Portuguese. I felt like I had a true Rio experience! Everyone was extremely kind and made me feel welcomed!

The front desk and restaurant staff was great! They understood English very well and was very helpful with assisting with tours etc. We was also able to extend our checkout until 6 pm for an additional fee of about $35 USD. They also let us check in early. Overall it was good i mean it’s not a up to date facility but it served its purpose for my short trip.

I've stayed here several times over the lastv10 years and find it to be the ideal location in Copacabana. Countless restaurants in walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Hope to stzy many more times.

Great location

This property is in front of Copacabana beach. The staff is very friendly and nice. Places to eat all around and even super market. Breakfast is a sweets lover paradise as it has lots of cakes, pies and sweet bread. If your not other great options too. I really enjoyed the option of hot milk for your coffee.

Great Location

My room is small. When I flushed the sink, water was stuck . 5 minutes later, water was drained and the smell was out and speed into my room. We had to close the bathroom’s door right away.

Great hotel, amazing staff, good location

Very attentive and supportive staff, good location right next to the beach and the rooms have everything you need for a very reasonable price.
From the beginning until the very end of your stay you can experience very friendly and helpful staff. Just the checkin procedure takes a bit long and could be more efficient as it seems. The rooms facing Copacabana beach are more recommended. Breakfast/food is also good.
All together and after staying there two times already I would always come back.

Location not worth holiday prices

My stay coincided with New Years. The Olinda hiked its prices ($300+ per night) because of the holiday, and for that reason did not meet the expectations that go along with the price.

THE POSITIVE: The location is fantastic, right on top of Copacabana beach and walking distance to the metro. The internet connection was good, which was important because I work remotely. The room was spacious and had a good view. Staff spoke English.

THE NEGATIVE: At the same time, the furniture and amenities were extremely outdated. The rooms are basic, no frills or décor. The staff were impersonal, which at times came across as unfriendly.

I requested a room with a double bed, and instead I got a room where a queen size bed could barely fit. The bathroom was tight and tiny, with a broken shower curtain (which I reported and never got fixed). It was also moldy with tiny mites within the crevices. Definitely not what I selected with Expedia. Only good thing was that breakfast was included which was okay, and the area was centric. Don't leave your bags unattended or you might find valuable things missing.

Two night stay

The hotel is older, but the room we stayed in has been updated. We paid extra for the room facing the ocean with a balcony. We ordered room service one night and ate dinner on the balcony facing the ocean. I would recommend this hotel for the location and the breakfast was satisfactory.

I stayed here for 3 nights. I booked the hotel because of its location in front of the Copacabana Beach. The room rate is also not too expensive as compared to the other reputed hotel along the beach front. As it turned out the hotel offered everything I need for a pleasant stay. The room is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. If I were to pick any shortcoming it’s the air conditioner that’s a little too noisy. Other than that it’s s good value hotel.

Ivan at the front desk was easily the best part of the trip! He was incredible at telling us what there was to do, both touristy and not.

The cleaning staff was also really great, especially since I got a virus and made a mess in the bathroom as a result. Everyone was beyond incredible and nice! Would come back again.

Breakfast was also very delicious and they refill your water bottles for free if you ask.

It’s a nice property but a little run down. The staff is nice and very helpful. The amenities are basic, with rough towels. It is right across the street from the Copacabana beach, so the location is great.
The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of seasonal fruits and pastríes.
Overall if your visit is short, it’s a nice place to stay.
