We stayed here for a night because the airline canceled our flight and we really needed wifi to change/book/plan reservations, but wifi does not work on the upper floors.

There are 2 Peters that work here -1 is a good one and other is the rotten apple. I hope you all get the good one.

Gostaria de deixar algumas contribuições para melhoria. Achei o quarto escuro, sendo necessária uma melhor iluminação, especialmente no teto e no banheiro. O banheiro aparenta ser antigo; as tábuas da parede estavam se soltando e não havia local adequado para apoiar os objetos de banho. O secador era muito fraco e não esquentava, e o frigobar não gelava.

Esses pontos precisam de melhorias com urgência. Fora isso, o atendimento foi bom, com funcionários educados e atenciosos.

JUST DON’T BOOK THERE!!

It all started at check-in. I thought I had paid already because the hotel should have charged the whole amount for the six day stay in two payments before I arrived. It did not for what I know now, obvious reasons … to fleece the guest!

I was asked how I wanted to pay and I paid with my Citi credit card. And that is where this scam came in. When I looked at my statement a few days later, I saw that there was a surcharge of about 12% built into the total charge that I paid.

I complained. And first they played dumb. They said they could not look up what I had paid. Nonsense!

In the end they could. And then it turned out that without me making that choice or offering me a choice, they put the charge through in USD. I just did not notice this. Watch out for the guy at the front desk (Serge).

At other places that I stayed or ate in Brazil, you are given the choice and as every experienced traveler knows, it’s always best to pay in local currency.

What a rip-off and it was not an accidental rip-off. The system was set up to default to USD, because they get a cut of the surcharge.

The room was very small. The Internet was bad and sometimes for hours not available at all. The breakfast was so-so at best.

In the end, I checked out 3 days early, because of the lousy internet etc. and because his rip-off which cost me $47 had turned me off completely.

I do not support any business with such practices.

Really lovely staff. Rio is a little sketchy, the receptionist staff gave us lots of advice to stay safe. The hotel rooms were a good size and clean. They could do with more pool loungers. The breakfast was 10/10 and the coffee machine was an extra bonus

Its an outdated hotel but you will be comfortable based on your needs. Had ac and hot water, wifi gave some trouble, but i would call for assistance and they aided as best possible. Having a Tv was of no use since none of the cable channels were in English. Its central, good for walking to anything u could need, food, grocery options, beach and ideal for some tour pickups. Staff is helpful and friendly.

There was just about no wifi in the room. I heard other people complaining too so it wasn't just my room. There was a charge to use the room safe. Unbelievable! I have stayed in 100 hotels and this is the first time that this has happened.

The property was conveniently located next-door to a parking structure. The daily parking fee was reduced because we were staying at the hotel. There was a complimentary breakfast as well. The staff at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. My issue was with the room itself. The room was not maintained very well. The shower door does not close so water was all over the bathroom floor. There was mold in the shower, the bathroom mirror and in the bedroom. The pictures hanging over the beds also had mold under the glass in the frame. The air conditioning vent was dirty. The mini fridge was very dirty. The window opens all the way even though you are 12 floors up. It is not safe for children.

Location is amazing, preferred to park the car next door and use Uber for everything, traffic in Rio can be very confusing and not very pleasant to deal with. Hotel has a deal with the car park, very handy. Room need a little update but overall, a good stay.

In my opinion This hotel is a disgrace, I suspect there are a lot of fake reviews. This is no where near a 4 star hotel.We arrived and asked to be changed from our first room issued, due to the poor condition.The second room was similar with mould and grime.The third room was the same as the other two rooms we were offered. The shower had mould, the shower lining was falling off the walls. The return air vent in the ceiling was completely full of dust. The towels were so thin from wear you could see through them and one had a hole I could put my finger through.
The safe in the cupboard had no lock in it. However it was available for an additional daily charge for the lock and key if you wanted to use it.The rooms we saw were old and very outdated and in need of a serious attention Management were not helpful. The only positive thing was the location and the breakfast was reasonable.
I personally would not stay at this hotel again.

Run down hotel. Beware if you ask for dinner suggestions - the pizza restaurant they took us to tried to rip us off. Front desk guy admitted they get a kickback. We ordered 39 Reale dinner and were charged 89. Language barrier made it difficult to argue it.
Awful bed. Not enough towels.
Door handle bathroom was broken and air conditioning remote did not work.
Breakfast was plentiful. Close walk to beach. But I won’t stay again.

There was nothing good about this hotel. The place is a dump. The hotel was dated, the room wasn't clean, and the washroom had mold and the showerheads had rust stains. We ended up leaving the hotel early after one night and booking a nicer one. We tried telling the front desk about the issues and they didnt seem to think the problems I mentioned were an issue.

The shower has black mildew and not clean. Location is not ideal. No where close to the beach as was advertised to be across the beach. Staff was nice. Parking was a hassle and cost R$80.00 per day.

This hotel is well located in the copacabana district. It appears to me to me to be about 1960's vintage. There is no gym...only 3 worn out jogging/bicycle machines. The swimming pool has very limited seating and is small, but it is a roof top and sunny location. The elevators travel at a snail's pace and are very small so waiting 5 or more minutes for one to arrive is not unusual.....I started taking the stairs. The breakfasts are excellent with lots of fresh choices and the staff are all helpful and have reasonable command of English. Due to the poverty of the beach areas in general, the streets around this hotel....and indeed every property in this area are populated with homeless persons and in the evening are bedding down in droves. Despite all of these comments, I woudl not hesitate to return. Location is everything.

Horrible hotel,
Claims 4 star but not even 2 star. Rude staff. No toiletries in bathrooms, cheap towels and inferior quality. Just one small bar soap in bathroom, few packets of shampoo. Nothing else. When we asked for extra soap second day, they refused! They did npt want to give more than 1 hand towel even thiugh we were 2 of us. Shower panel peeling off and water getting behind causing mold. Staff does not speak English and refused to help even with google translate we were showing. Rude staff. Breakfast was horrible - lot of sweet stuff and long lines. Pictures are misleading. The only thing going for them is location and proximity to the beach. Everything else is bad. AVOID. Not a 4* hotel at all. Just a cheap motel. Do yourself a favor and book else where.

Immediate Checkout Due to Unresolved bathroom and Noise Issues

Since this morning, I have been experiencing serious issues with the water supply in my room.
First, only hot water was coming out and there was no cold water, so I requested a repair. When I returned to the room later, only cold water was working. I reported the issue again, and now the situation has reversed once more—there is only hot water and no cold water at all.

This problem has never been properly resolved.
In addition to this, I did not sleep at all last night due to constant noise and strong vibrations. The air conditioner from the neighboring room causes my window to shake continuously, making it impossible to rest.

Because of these unresolved issues, I will be checking out today. I did not sleep, I will not be having breakfast tomorrow, and the water problem was never fixed.
After I check out, I ask that you enter my room to personally confirm that the cold water does not work and to experience for yourself the severe vibration and noise caused by the neighboring air conditioner.

Please contact me only after you have verified these problems directly in my room.
This situation has caused significant discomfort and inconvenience.

After checking out, my Uber was waiting outside, but your staff stopped me from leaving and made me wait for a room inspection. Because of this delay, I was unable to get into my Uber. Please provide appropriate compensation for this inconvenience.

O quarto precisa de alguns reparos e de uma limpeza mais adequada. A equipe da recepção e do café nos tratou com muita cordialidade. O café da manhã era bem repetitivo e em dois dias consecutivos percebi um bolo que já estava babando, azedo. Ar condicionado fazia um barulho constante e incomodava para dormir. Toalhas não foram trocadas durante os 4 dias de estadia. O chuveiro saía água somente nas bordas, o centro estava entupido e o jato d'água era espalhado. Por fim, duas vezes a equipe de limpeza \"lavou\" os copos de vidro disponíveis no quarto na pia do banheiro e deixaram lá na pia para secar com a boca para baixo, achei muito anti-higiênico! Além disso, colocaram minha toalha para secar no parapeito da janela, sendo que poderia ter caído ou sujado na janela que visivelmente não é higienizada há muito tempo.

A estadia foi boa, principalmente pela excelente localização, conforto e atendimento da equipe. A recepção é confortável e os funcionários são educados, receptivos e sempre dispostos a ajudar. No check-in houve uma pequena falha inicial na verificação do quarto, mas a situação foi rapidamente resolvida, com a liberação do quarto logo em seguida.
O quarto é confortável, limpo e bem organizado, com camas boas, ar-condicionado novo, televisão com vários canais e espaço adequado para malas e roupas. Como ponto negativo, a vista do quarto não é agradável, além de o chuveiro demorar a esquentar, ter saída de água irregular e haver um pequeno vazamento abaixo da pia do banheiro.
O café da manhã tem pouca variedade, porém é bem organizado e com reposição constante. O wi-fi apresentou instabilidade e o elevador é um pouco lento e barulhento (no qual, dá para escutar do quarto), mas isso não comprometeu o descanso.
O terraço tem uma vista bonita, com piscina e sauna pequenas, mas agradáveis. A localização é excelente, próxima a restaurantes, transporte público, farmácias e a poucas quadras da praia.
No geral, o hotel oferece uma boa experiência, com destaque para o atendimento, limpeza e localização.

Um ponto negativo foi a internet do hotel que o meu 4G não funcionava direito no quarto e o WIFI do hotel deixa muito a desejar, em 2025 é praticamente inadimissivel um hotel não ter wifi de qualidade. Outro ponto negativo foi o ar-condicionado que necessitava de reparos, só estava ventilando uma pequena parte dele.

Segunda vez q ficou nesse hotel ,e segunda vez q os problemas são os mesmos ,banheiro , café da manhã e o elevador ! Banheiro mal cuidado,chuveiro ruim,e a porta do box fazia um barulho alto ! O elevador dá medo ,cada barulho estranho q da vontade de ir de escada ,agora vamos pra pior parte o café da manhã ! C tá doido café da manhã fraquíssimo ,bolo azedo ,bolos velhos parece q tava guardado a anos ,tudo feio ,estranho q eles cobram 50 reais o cafe da manhã para não hóspede ,não vale 20 reais ,todas q tomavam café deixava algo no prato ,pq não tava dando pra comer
