It’s a good hotel. The room is big and nice and staff is super helpful, pool is good.
Breakfast is good as well. The area is close to the beach in Copacabana, at night it might get creepy, but ok still.
My only critic is the room at some points during the day smelled like pipi, so did the AC.

Reception was wonderful. Our host spoke some English and was even a fan of American music. He made us feel at home and we were given a nice room. The room was spacious and clean and the A/C worked perfectly. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful. No complaint. I would stay there again and recommend it 100%.

Everything was excellent. Great staff. You can book directly with the hotel (friends can also even if they are not staying in the same hotel). Amenities are great with a nice rooftop pool. The restaurant is five star food. The location is a 5 minute walk from Copacabana beach and an 8 minute walk from Ipanema beach.

The hotel is dated and tired, but worth the price we paid. We had hot tub suite (e.g. jacuzzi bath, not an actual hot tub). The room was huge, but stripped of everything. No artwork, two plastic cups, worn corners, stained upholstery, not even a cork screw. It felt abandoned. With a little care it could actually be very cool because it’s so vintage that it’s almost back in style. Jacuzzi bath was nice, but all of the shampoo and conditioner was bolted to the wall in the shower… so if you wanted an actual bath you had to run back and forth between the two for soap. Front desk staff was friendly, but a little old school with the hard sell on tours and restaurant recommendations that are clearly tourist joints they have an agreement with. Also clearly an organized tour group stop, so the lobby area was often full of luggage and large groups of people waiting to board a bus. Great location though, and affordable.

It was a decent location near transportation and a good walk to beach. Breakfast options didnt change much and there was often no seating and running out of some of the foods but we were there during Carnivale when extra busy. This place was a good price during this time but i would choose elsewhere if i came again.

The location of the hotel is pretty nice, at least for us, not far from the beaches (3 of them). Close to Subway aswell.
The hotel is a bit old and dated, one of the lifts was not working, but everything was pretty clean. Room was ok, decent beds, but def not the best i’ve slept at. No soundproof at all so if you want to sleep and there are noisy guests around (our case) you are in trouble.
Staff was good but could have dealt with our problem mencioned earlier in a better way, despite my wife telling them that plenty of times (like 3 at least).
Breakfast was pretty good.

Had a great stay at this hotel and keen to come back. The pool was lovely, the breakfast plentiful, cocktails delicious and well priced - just under 30 for a caprihinia. Good location for sunset or dinner options. Best of all were the staff who were super friendly and helpful, really appreciated them.

Unfortunately the hotel os very old and is in very poor condition. The bathroom had black mold in the grout and had a smell of sewerage. Our A/C unit leaked water and was extremely loud so we had to change rooms.
The next room had a plugged toilet…. Fortunately the front desk people were very accommodating. I’m guessing they are doing some renovations because we could hear the very loud sound of tools and workers early in the morning.
The location and water pressure were the only positives and of course good staff. We would not stay here again and it hurts me to write this but I have to be honest about our stay. No value here considering the price.

While the best thing about this hotel was it’s daily breakfast, that was the only good thing about it, in my opinion. The property was partially renovated. Some rooms were completely renovated others were not. Electrical outlets didn’t consistently provide use for changing devicesI was in one of the partially. The towels were dingy and looked unclean. The television remote was not reliable…overall, the hotel was subpar in my opinion. I would never stay there again and would not recommend it to my family or friends.

Room was only ready 1.5 hours after check in time. Bathtub had black mold in it. We were moved to another room because of this but that room had no soap in the bathroom, safe was not reset and the room smelled liked chemicals. Breakfast was decent. Staff took my concerns but didn’t do anything about it. Would not recommend.

Staff is very friendly. We felt welcome as soon as we walked into the hotel. Room is nice and clean. Only downside is that you can hear the toilet flushing and shower running from neighboring rooms. Great location with plenty of food options. Walking distance to the beach.

Decent hotel in a good area. Could be improved.

The hotel is a little bit run down. Front desk staff was friendly.
Breakfast was nice. Selection for dinner was a bit fast food-ish.
The room - well, the beds are not much more than a piece of plywood with a sheet. Super hard and uncomfortable. My body was aching all week.
Other than that, it is clean and the bathrooms are nice.
Close to Copacabana Beach and we felt safe in the area.

Hidden gem, a distance from the beach

The hotel is set back a way from the beach so it's a good 15/20 minutes walk to Ipanema Beach and surrounding nightlife. The room was surprisingly large, as was the bathroom. My only criticism would be the bed sheets were woefully thin and worn with tiny holes.
Staff friendly, helpful and engaging. Breafast was served in the large dining area and was standard fare of 'cake', bread, ham/cheese slices and fruit. Juice and coffee.
Quiet area at night, immediately surroundings had shops close by. We'd stay again as was also good value for money.

Fantastic location, easy to walk to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, restaurants, shopping and the train station. Personel is friendly, helpful and caring, always willing to provide directions and recommendations on what to do and how to get to special place. Great hotel in a great area. Rooms could use upgrading starting with the cleanser they use. The best thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool and view of Rio. Two blocks from Copacabana and 10min walk to Ipanema.

Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in. After witnessing abusive reception staff towards an English couple who complained I also faced abuse dats later when seeking help because room telephone did not work. Hotel pictures do not reflect a very dated hotel should be 2 star and a very poor breakfast avoid this hotel in Rio I have had better experiences elsewhere

Great place for a Rio vacation

This hotel was at a great location (right between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches). The breakfast was fantastic, and the front desk folk were very helpful. They even let us stay an extra 2 hours after check out, since our departure flight was in late afternoon. I would definitely stay there again.

Money Missing From My Room

We had $100 USD taken from our luggage ($300R). When I told the front desk clerk his response was \"Why didn't you use the safe?\" They advised they would look at the cameras and found ONLY the chambermaid entered the room. They advised they would make a decision and get back to us. I asked TWO different times AFTER they advised me they would make a decision (pay me the money back). However, BOTH times the clerks didn't seem to have an idea what was going on. Even though there was a note taped to the front desk counter top.

I've traveled ALL over the world for the past 30 years and NEVER had money taken from my room.

For the price, this was a steal. Minutes walk to everything. The hotel is nice and clean. And they offer free breakfast, which I never woke up for. The Wi-Fi sucks, but Wi-Fi sucked everywhere in Rio, so I won't hold that against them. And the staff was very helpful. I left my phone in the taxi upon arrival in Rio, this could have ruin my mood for a few hours lol, and the staff was very helpful in tracking down the taxi. He actually returned it to the hotel. I'd definitely stay there again :)

Overall this hotel was pretty good for the price. It was about a 5 minute walk to Copacabana beach and 15 min walk to Ipanema beach.

The room was clean, the a/c worked great, and bathroom had ample space. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning with the fresh fruit which was also a plus. There are several places to eat around the hotel and a couple grocery stores in walking distance you can pick up cheap water and snacks.

The only issue we had was that the wifi signal in our room was hit or miss so a lot of the time we found ourselves in the lobby surfing the internet where the signal is great.

Staff gentil. Café da manhã bom e ótima localização. Limpeza do quarto boa, porém necessitando de manutenção no banheiro (azulejo e rejunte) e ouvia-se o barulho de outros quartos, pois na parte da janela havia pequenos vaos. Ar condicionado um pouco barulhento. No geral, satisfatório.

Eu fiquei muito satisfeita com a minha hospedagem, foi apenas de 1 diária...mas volto e indico o hotel sem dúvidas. O hotel é mais antigo, mas muito conservado e percebe-se que está fazendo melhorias. O ponto de destaque fica com a localização... próximo ao comércio, metrô e na divisão de 3 praias (Copacabana, Arpoador e Ipanema).
Também fiquei muito satisfeita com o atendimento de todos os funcionários, a limpeza dos ambientes, o tamanho do quarto e o cheiro agradável em todo o hotel e quarto também chamou minha atenção.

O cardápio do café era variado, porém no domingo estava muita coisa em falta, não tinha banana, mamão, pão cacetinho, atendentes do café nem bom dia davam quando estávamos chegando.
Reservei dois quartos, do mesmo jeito e estilo, porém ao chegar lá o meu era completamente diferente, menor, com duas camas de solteiro, sendo que reservei quatro de casal! Má vontade dos atendentes do balcão em solucionar a questão da cama…
Os meninos da bagagem sim, muito atenciosos, sempre cordiais e com boa vontade.
Quarto com pouca iluminação.
