Staff were vey helpful We had to wait in the lobby for a ride to the airport for a late flight and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best ‘included’ breakfasts we’ve experienced. Room was good, not great.

The Hotel Ritz Leblon is ideally located in that neighborhood, with some great food alternatives (all walking distence). Leblon's beach is about 2-3 blocks away, sufficiently close, but not directly at the beach (with all the noise). If I return to Rio, I will definitely stay again.

Great hotel in a great location - clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower with good pressure. Breakfast was also great - weirdly they charge for coffee (Nespresso pods) they put in the room - rather put cheaper coffee in and don’t charge for it?

The hotel is centrally located in Leblon. However, don't get fooled with the name. The beds are horrible. The mattresses are hard as stone slabs. The daily breakfast was not good at all. I wouldn't stay there next time because I didn't get one night rest.

The hotel itself is overall nice and updated. The staff was lovely.

However, there is absolutely no security whatsoever. Anyone can just walk in. Anyone can take the elevator to any floor without a problem.

The biggest problem, however, is the check out situation. Unlike every other hotel in the world, you have to stop and check out. This is a) no longer a thing and b) extremely inconvenient when you don't know you need to do as much and it's 5am and the person who is meant to do the checkout is sleeping in back and then someone needs to go upstairs to check the room and then charge you for any extras.

Not ideal when trying to catch a flight.

Reception staff are incredible helpful and friendly. My room, especially the bathroom didn’t feel very clean - the toilet bowl stank and there was gunk on the sink.

1st time in Brazil and definitely recommend to anyone who may feel scared about traveling to Brazil, it’s not as scary as some make it seem. The staff understand English so the language barrier isn’t an issue, recommend upgrading to the balcony, it’s worth it.

O Wi-Fi que não estava bom e tive problemas com as televisões. Nao consegui ver os jogos da copa, já que só tinha 3 canais e com muito chiado e péssima qualidade. Não puderam concertar.
Eu gostaria que tivessem me oferecido um crédito para um futuro para entrar voltar a ficar no hotel.

A experiência foi péssima, especialmente em se tratando de um hotel com diária de quase R$ 2 mil. A suíte premium ficava no primeiro andar, o aparelho de AC fazia um barulho insuportável (que nos impediu de dormir durante toda a noite), e a porta do quarto simplesmente não trancava pelo lado fora. Inacreditável.

Everything sucks at this place

First of all, I paid for 1-night with parking. But, the hotel does not have parking lot available. And I paid for it. So, I parked by myself (since the manager said.. it not his problem).
At the check out, the guy tried to charge me 1 night (that I’ve already paid through the reservation process). After a 10minutes discussion, he realized that I’ve already paid.
This hotel sucks.

Comfortable stay in Leblon

Great location and comfortable stay. We had an apartment suite with kitchenette. Only issue is we called in advance for pots and pans to cook dinner and spent $100 on groceries only to find our stove wasn’t functioning. They couldn’t fix it after several attempts. Other than that comfortable stay and I would definitely recommend the Leblon area.

Staff bilingual and very friendly and accommodating. Hotel secure. Breakfast great. Location prime. Recommend choosing a room that has a window. The upgrades suite I was in did not, which was fine for me as I wanted the more space. For those that are claustrophobic, it may be an issue. Would stay again.

Best Location in all of Rio

This modern hotel is in the best location in all of Rio, the safe and walkable Leblon. It is close to many fun bars and restaurants and there's a feeling of security 24/7. It is two block/5 minute walk to the beach. The Ritz was recently renovated and the rooms are quite nice. There is some wear and tear, sometimes the water took a few minutes to get hot but overall it was perfectly pleasant. Rooms near the elevator bank can get some noise from folks waiting to use the elevators. Also, some rooms offered do not have windows. Make sure to get a room with a window if you're claustrophobic. I mistakenly booked a suite without a window but the staff quickly accommodated my request. Breakfast was tasty. I will come back here when I return to Rio.

Excellent location but disappointing facilities

Location is perfect and staff was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. However, the facilities were a bit disappointing. The room was incredibly small and doesn't look at all like the pictures on the website. The shower in the bathroom wasn't always hot and I had to request maintenance twice in 5 days. Cable TV was also unreliable, showing an on and off \"disconnected\" message. Bed was comfortable but other than that plus the good location, not good value for money.

The room was clean and it was a nice place for a single person. There was no hot water after 10 minutes in the shower. The sink had hot water all the time it was just in the shower where the issue was at.

3 blocks from leblon beach. It’s defintely a locAtion I would stay at the next time I visit. Lots of restaurants around, pharmacy, supermarket so it makes it very convenient

There is really no downside to the hotel / it’s a basic 3 star that’s very conveniently located

I checked in for 5 days- I asked to get a room with a nice view and the gentleman at the reception was very kind enough to accommodate my request

The only thing about the room
Is that the bathroom is quite small. The water from the sink wasn’t running fast enough so I had to call house keeping to fix that. Towards the end of the trip there was a pungent smell from the sewage in the bathroom

The elderly gentleman at breakfast is a gem. He made me my breakfast as per my wish. Which was basically just egg whites. He was very warm and welcoming everyday. I denfitly would love to see him again if I ever went to Rio

Having said that/ all the staff at the hotel are very friendly. They make the experience very unforgetble

The pool is small- plus it’s insode near the breakfast room.. no views from the pool

I would recxomend this hotel for mostly Business trAvellers - for a holiday I would personally care for a hotel that has great sea views...

My laptop was stolen while stored at the hotel. Storage unit area was not well secured. I would recommend staying elsewhere - plenty of other options in Leblon.

This hotel is in a great location and the foyer and breakfast area are nice. The rooms are very basic and be aware none of the rooms are square because of a column built in the middle of the building it makes the rooms feel very tiny. This hotel is not associated at all with Ritz and is very simple. I think this is an expensive choice for what you get. Try Sushi Leblon or Zuku for a meal you wont be disappointed

Fantastic hotel in safe area.

The hotel is only a couple of blocks from Leblon beach so it's a great location for walking to the beach. There are heaps of cafes, shops and restaurants in the same area so you don't need to go far for anything. It's also close to bus stops for access to Cristo. The breakfast was excellent, lots of variety with western style options if you prefer. The room was very comfortable and modern. Staff friendly and helpful and they also speak English. The area is one of the safer ones in the Rio beach areas and more 'upmarket' than the others.

The hotel location is excellent.

The hotel staff is superb. Security at Hotel is excellent. Breakfast was very good. I did not get to use the pool.

I found it a bit pricey, but I guess Rio is a tourist Mecca. The hotel rate was comparable to hotel rates in New York City. São Paulo comparable hotels are half the price of this one.

Hotel is one of the nicer I've stayed in in Rio and is in a great location for access to the beach, and many of the best restaurants and pubs in Leblon. I was traveling on business and my wife accompanied - hotel worked well for all of our mixed work/vacation needs!

Hotel is in a great location in Leblon, close to many restaurants and a couple of blocks from Ipanema/Leblon beach. Hotel rooms are nicely furnished, in good condition, but very dark and have mood lighting which is great when you first walk in, but very impractical. Service at the reception is slow and not particularly friendly. There are many better upscale hotels in Rio than this hotel. I would not recommend it.
