Great restaurant, we had an excellent evening meal. Breakfast was also good. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar - service was top notch. Some of the rooms need maintenance, there were some plumbing problems during our stay and our in room safe wasn’t working. Overall, good value for money. We would book again.

We stayed here for Phantasialand, it's about a 20/30 minute walk from the hotel, or a 5 minute car ride. I would recommend hiring a car as there isn't much to do besides the themepark, cleanliness is very good.
On the one day we wasn't at the park and therefore able to sleep in a little, staff were knocking on for cleaning at 9am. There was no sign to put on the door to say do not disturb

We used this hotel for a trip to Phantasialand. There is a shuttle bus available at Brühl Mitte for £5 return per person in cash, and the stop is an 18 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is very comfortable, we used the restaurant two night. The only problem was the lack of a kettle and tea making facilities in the rooms. We ended up paying €7 for a pot of tea each to take upstairs on the second night.

For the price we paid the hotel is excellent value, the staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are basic bit more importantly clean and all you need for a long weekend stay. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options. We booked as its close to phantasialand, and would recommend it to anyone planning on a trip there.

Lovely stay, very close and handy for Phantasialand. Only downside is, the double bed is two singles pushed together and not connected, therefore the beds do move apart. Oh and no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. The all you can eat buffet dinner was a bit disappointing, not that many options for the main.

This hotel suits its purpose of being close to phantasialand, the staff were helpful and friendly! The rooms are standard although our first room had no working air conditioning and a window that wouldn’t open/close easily. We were then moved to a different room, again the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast is okay, it has lots of options and even offered vegan/gluten free alternatives. The hotel overall does look and feel a bit rundown/neglected in some areas. If you need somewhere to stay and can’t afford phantasialands on site hotels this is a fine alternative.

Overall the stay was great. However the pillows had no substance to them. You needed 3 or 4 to make a proper pillow. Also the AC wasn't working fully. I'm guessing the AC was stopped because it was still cold outside so had to sleep with the window open instead. Breakfast was good. Everything you could want.

The hotel was easy to get to with plenty of parking, just outside the city center in a quiet setting. It was mostly clean (we had a big stain on the carpet by the side-table in our room) The staff was mostly friendly & helpful. The room we stayed in was small for American standards. The hotel definitely wins the flattest pillow award! I didn't even notice I had two pillows until I tried rolling them up for more support. The hotel offered a great breakfast buffet, including a nice inside and outside seating area. Coffee was offered through 2 big automated coffee makers, with plenty of frothed options to choose from. A simple German cup of copy with a simple creamer would have sufficed for me though.

Some people might be concerned that this hotel is 30-50 mins far by train from the central cologne station but for me it was totally fine. We stayed here last night. The lobby and communal areas were modern. The rooms and hallways we're dated. The first staff we met we kind and helpful. At midnight a man entered our room with a key card. This we very distressing. We called the reception who said \"we gave someone the wrong key it happens sometimes\" this was not helpful and the staff member was not appologetic.
We spoke to reception the next morning and explained what had happened. There response was \"yes we know\". The is appalling customer service. We understand that accidents happen but the hotel denied any wrong doing and acted as though we were overreacting. We did not sleep out of fear and our dog who alerted us to the intruder is very unsettled and uneoubidly dustrubed the other guests for the rest of the evening. We will not be booking our second night here in Brühl as planned.
Do not stay at this hotel.

Nicht perfekt, aber löhnt sich

Dieses Besuch war besonders. Ich bin wegen medizinische Gründe nach Deutschland geflogen. Die Mitarbeitern beim Hotel war hervorragend - sie haben uns geholfen und waren immer freundlich und haben nach meiner Situation gefragt. Das war schön. Das Problem war mit technischen Geräte. Wir müssten zweimal Zimmer Umziehen wegen der Klimaanlage. Im ersten Zimmer ist die Decke deswegen herunter gefallen (als wir schliefen) im zweiten Zimmer funktioniert es nicht richtig. Gott sei Dank hat das dritte Zimmer keine Klimaanlage Probleme! Es gab andere Kleinigkeiten die noch besser könnten, aber ins Gesamt, werde ich nochmal dort übernachten. Die Erfahrung war überhaupt positiv und auch das inklusive Frühstück war echt lecker!

The hotel room was small but functional. The flat screen was a 27 inch, in the center of the wall. It could not be moved so you have to be in the middle of the bed to watch it. There was no mini fridge and no coffee maker. The worst part was that the AC was not working. I reported it 3 different times and each time i was told \"the technician will be here in an hour\" The AC did not work for the 3 days I was there. I'm sure its been fixed.
The hotel breakfast is great! The staff was very helpful. The hotel is a 20 min drive into the Koln city center.

Outstanding Hotel in Bruhl - STOP LOOKING & BOOK!

Fantastic, even in the Covid restriction circumstances. The rooms are very comfortable, The air con works (you have to close the window for it to work due to a censor - great idea). Very easy atmosphere, there is a Netto next door and it is easy access to Phantasialand with the Mitte stop for the shuttle either a 10 minute walk of 4 minute bus ride. Also, customer service is beyond reproach - so heplful and also kind. Breakfast IS included and right now due to the Covid situation it is more limited than usual but still HUGE effort made to keep you safe AND give you a good breakfast!
5 stars all the way!
As an aside - yes it is slightly cheaper to stay in Cologne close to the Central station and then travel in to Phantasialand BUT I promise if you book at this hotel even though it is slightly higher in price, you will find it was the right decision and will in fact save you money!

Room was spotless, comfortable and spacious. It was nice to have bottled water in the room.

It was my birthday and the receptionist didn't bother to say happy birthday even after I mentioned it severely during check in and when i went to ask if they could help us with a restaurant reservation.

Check in staffs r not so friendly but the breakfast team in the restaurant were amazing. Very friendly, smiling, saying good morning and making sure everything was perfect.

Breakfast had good selection of food, I particularly loved the fresh pancakes, and meatballs.

I couldn't fault our stay and we would definately stay here again. We drove from London and there was plenty of free parking in the hotel.

It is only about 5mins drive from Phantasialand which was why we stayed here and 25mins drive from Cologne. Bruhl city centre is about 5mins drive with lots of restaurants and bar.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and upgraded us into a bigger room. Room was very clean and very big. The interior was OK but not fancy but for the price that we payed - it was more than worth it. The room service was fast and friendly and we had a very good sleep after the adventure park. We had a great stay and would definitely return again. Good value for money as the breakfast was included as well.

Hotel with all the basic comfort you need, wifi, flatscreen tv, AC,... and big rooms. The furnishing is a bit dated (suppose from the 80ies but it fulfills its purpose.
Also free spacious outside parking. Not to far away from Dusseldorf and Cologne in a quiet village.

Nice hotel. Nothing flash, but quite pleasant. There are two carparks (above and below ground). Spaces above ground are hard to find, and if you have a large vehicle, like an SUV, it's almost impossible to access the underground carpark, because of the extremely narrow entry. Staff were friendly. Breakfast had a decent selection of both hot and cold options, though coffee was not great. It was convenient for a one night stop.

The hotel is in a quite place, in periferia of Cologne. You can travel by train and taxi if you need. The tram 18 is cheap 3.80 € ticket for one direction, and you don't need to change it during that day. You have near a market, and a pharmacy for your needs. It is quite hotel, clean and good food.

I stayed here for 1 night midweek. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and met my requirements for my stay. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. The restaurant could have been better organized, a self service buffet style dinner, and with the groups of business people at a convention a bit chaotic.

The hotel itself and amenities was good; however there was a big confusion on the payment. I had booked two rooms and requested to pay with different cards; still on the same night I received confirmation that both were deposited to my original card. Next morning, the staff wanted to charge again both rooms. We spent over one hour clarifying everything, in the end - all was right and they apologized.

Overall it was a good stay, although we found the hotel a little dated, the bathrooms very dated with shower in bath which I really don't like as it's hard getting in and out, especially for older people would make it very dangerous. The buffet breakfast was really good, the staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. We stayed at this hotel as it was really close to phantasialand which we loved and the town of Bruhl also really nice for restaurants and shopping.

Outside Koln

The hotel was very good as could access centre of Koln by tram that run very regularly and able to leave car in car park at no cost. The only problem was it stated 'free wifi' but could only be found in the crowded lounge area,especially if there was another group in residence .Reception staff very helpful. Buffett food was left over from group !!

Good breakfast, quiet location, handy gym.

Overall good. location, gym and breakfast. Stayed for 4 nights and room wasn't cleaned every day but towels were left, expected water in room each day, bathroom small, no double bed, hotel looking a bit dated, so lost points for these reasons.
