Overall my accommodation was good, but the evening reception guy at the front desk was one of the most useless staff people I’ve encountered at any hotel in my years of travel.

My room lost power two days into my stay due to a breaker tripping and I went to the front desk for help. The guy made an attempt to supposedly help and more than an hour later I still had no power. No follow up, no contact to let me know he was working on the issue.

I had to head to the front desk for a second time since the initial guy was nowhere to be found.

Another gentleman (seemed like a senior staff) heard my complaint and within 1 minute I had power back in my room.

What was more infuriating was that the first guy saw me multiple times during my stay for several days afterwards and I didn’t get as much as a regret for keeping me without power for over an hour. Zero customer service and he had this attitude/demeanor where he was doing me a favor.

Either that guy has no business being in a customer service role or he denied me the service I required on the basis of being a non-local. Very, very disrespectful.

Always our first choice stay

The overall hotel is fab stayed here over 3 times and is our first choice always in Germany, but we was on ground floor, and the WiFi didn't reach our room, and all the air conditioning was not available ( even though this was stated on the amenities available) , but was provided a fan.
Breakfast was lovely as always. Lots to choose from.
Beds are comfortable, and rooms are big enough.

This hotel was reasonable placed as I had to attend a festival and theme park that weekend so getting onto public transport was local as bus stop area was around the corner, also a shopping mall behind the bus stop was a bonus.
On first day there was a blackout but staff were soo helpful to make sure all was ok with me and other guests staying. Blackout didn't last long (couple of hrs), in all the room and bathroom was clean plus the AC worked. Staff in the breakfast/dinner area were also polite and cheerful during my stay.
Enjoyed my stay here. Recommend!

We stayed in a superior double room for 5 nights. The air conditioning system did not work throughout the whole trip. Reported this on a number of occasions to the front desk and told this was same for whole hotel . Some friends were staying at the same hotel and ALL of their rooms had their air co ditio ers working. Our room overooked the main road and hotel paking and a skip. As the ac susytem not working we had to have the door open and the noise from the traffic and workers busy throwing ju k into the skip as a early as 6am made it very difficult for us to sleep. I am very disappointed witht he hotel and no one fixed the issue in our room.

This Hotel is exactly as it shows. The carpet smelled a bit in the room, I had to have the doors wide open for fresh air, for me it was warm during my stay and we were given a room with no ac ☹️. I asked for one and was told maintenance hadn’t set it up yet. But the reception did bring me a fan for the night- kudos to him. He provided us with a map and bus route in case we did it want to drive. Plenty of safe parking. On another note, breakfast was great for us, friendly staff. Thank you.

not a tourist terrorist and I will not complain about trifles. But the non-working sauna was very disappointing. Also, you have to take into account the fact the hotel is quite far from the tram station to Cologne (about 20 minutes walk). It was quite exhausting - making such a long way every day (the tram is going 25-30 minutes to the Dom).
Cons: good and varied breakfast and room was cleaned every day as should be.

Hotel is easy to reach from the motorway.
Large surface parking is onsite with plenty of spaces. Underground carpark available, chargeable at €9.50 a day.
Check in was easy.
Room was large, with double bed (2 singles zipped together). Juliette window overlooking the courtyard. There was no Aircon in the room.
Room location was quiet.
The curtains could do with being wider, they either didn't meet in the middle or large gaps on the sides. So bring an eye mask unless you like being woken up by daylight.
The room could have been cleaner a glance under the bed, rather wish I hadn't!
Bathroom was good. Huge shower and good water pressure and temperature.
Breakfast was varied and plentyful. Lots of hot options. Cereals, cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, a variety of fresh fruit. Different breads and rolls, jams, spreads, patè. There were mini croissants and Danish pastries those these went quick and took a while to be replenished.
Lots of drink options.
Lactose free and dairy alternative milk available. Limited gluten free choice (some packaged crispbreads)
The bus station is located in the next road. It can either take you to Cologne in over an hour or to the Ubahn station. Which was total travel from hotel to Cologne in 45mins.
Returning from Cologne after 6 there are limited or no buses. The Ubahn runs until late but it's just over a kilometre walk uphill to the hotel from the Ubahn station. This wasn't clear in the hotel information. We would have stayed elsewhere otherwise.

This was our worst experience of the trip so far. Advertised climate control air conditiining in the room but there was none. When we complained we were told only.somenrooms.had ac. False advertising! The room got really hot and stuffy and we took.it.in turns to open the door and stay awake.to let air in safely in case of security issues.
We were told there was no other roomnavailae.

There was no.tea or.coffee.making facilities at all not even in a common area. We were.
.charged 3 euro each .for.a cup of tea. Dreadful. Then we all only had one.pillow each, it was as if our booking was not at all important. This is not the standard we are used to especially compared to other hotels.

The receptionist man was very rude, unfriendly, it was like we are not welcome,very noisy and i find him aggressive. i stayed in this hotel few times 4 years ago with different hotel name. I love the hotel, location, but the hotel receptionist was totally disappointing. I wont go there again

Travelling with a dog

We stayed in this hotel with our puppy, to our surprise, there was a dog bed, blanket, food and water bowl plus food and treats waiting for our dog. Such a nice and kind gesture. I recommend for all the people with dogs staying at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, good choice. The hotel is in a quiet part of Köln. Very pleased

Smoking still allowed - even if you request non...

We booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. All the rooms were smoking rooms even though we requested non-smoking. I was told 3 different excuses for why this happened. Cobwebs on the ceilings in all of the rooms. Dirty bathrooms, one room had long black hairs on the toilet. Burn holes in the curtains. Toilet paper and tissues empty. Dust in places that aren't normally seen - hair dryer cord, on top of small mirror, top edge of desk, pictures, etc. Two room safes were either locked out or defective. Apparently no supervision of housekeeping quality being done.
Two rooms were moved to non-smoking after the first night - the new rooms also had cobwebs and dirty carpets. One room smelled like wet socks.
I was told we would get a partial refund but upon checking out, the manager said there was no note about such a refund in the system.

This was my second stay, and we came back because it wasn't bad for the price, but this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth...and bad smell in my nose.

Beds were comfy. The breakfast was good and fresh. Plenty of parking and centrally located for quick access to nearby cities and autobahns.

Nice heat hotel, cost-effective

The hotel was overall very nice. Only problem was maybe the location was a bit far from my destination which was Colognmesse. It took me around 50 minutes to get there. Oh and maybe they should put a freezer in rooms as I couldnt find one in mine.

One thing I really liked was breakfast service. They serve quality foods.

Nice Hotel with Air Conditioning which was needed because of a European Heat Wave. It kept truning off when it got to 19 C though. Spacious Room, Best Breakfast of our 19 day trip and Anna was so helpful at the front desk. Not in the city center but we drove about a mile and parked for free at the train station and hopped on the train.to Koln

The whole stay was pre paid and I arrived one day later as scheduled. My room was given away and the hotel did not have any spare room for me. I had to sleep in a colleagues room.
This is unacceptable given that the room was fully pre paid! I did not get a refund for this.

Liked the hotel, especially AC. Surprisingly a lot of hotels do not offer AC. Had a large, free parking, in room WiFi could use some improvement but we were able to connect. Breakfast was delicious, had a good food variety and it was included in the price. Some of the stafff were better than the others. The last day we had to leave early and they made us a breakfast to go with a lot of food. I only have one negative comment, tthey did not clean our room one day. Overal, I liked the hotel and would stay there again.

The hotel is easy to get to and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the waiters were very upfront. Overall a nice place to stay. The down side is that the free internet was so slow that working in the evening using VPN technology was not possible. The room cold have been cleaner with stains in the carpet and on the bed sheets. Generally the room was clean.

We booked 2 rooms at this hotel and stayed here for only 2 days. The hotel staff is very friendly. The buffet breakfast offered plenty to eat.
We booked this hotel because it offered free parking. Indeed, there is plenty of parking around the hotel. But on our second day here, it snowed heavily, so we could not drive. We asked for other transport to go to Kohn, only to find out that it cost 11 Euro per person one way with 1 change of train. That was inconvenient and expensive.

The bad: I had a non-smoking room, but since the weather was very hot I had to open the window to get a little breeze - unfortunately smokers right below me...

The good: the staff went out of their way. Very friendly and helpful staff!!!

Very nice to have a bus stop and shopping center right across the street.

The room was very clean and had everything I needed except for a coffee maker.

Business trip to participate for trade show in Cologne Messe. I booked it as it was competitively priced. Room size was a shock as I never stayed in such a small room. As hotel was fully booked there was no option to upgrade. Service was great, staff were very helpful, small gym with sauna & steam was just perfect. Even though speaking English was barrier for them they tried to help always & to me they were always polite & helpful.

Clean, basic and we'll maintained hotel booked as a package through Expedia. Unfortunately some distance from the centre of Cologne, however it was on a bus route which we did not use as we had rides from German friends.There was a useful map of Christmas Markets with bus timetables in the lobby. Pleasant staff but as there were no hot drink facilities in the room marked down for not telling us about a hot drink making facility near the restaurant or snack facilities on lower floors.

80's Old corporate hotel, in need of modernisation

Stayed in a room facing the road-side. It was very noisy with motorbikes drag-racing up and down the road and in the multi-story car park. The rooms are not very sound proof. Bathrooms have black mould around the bath, but the hotel is currently updating. The fitness centre is very good, but be prepared, it is mixed and naked in the sauna / steam room. The breakfast staff are fantastic. Plenty of choice from the buffet breakfast, however the hot food buffet never changed and was boring by the end of our 1 week stay. There was plenty of free car parking and a nice shopping mall nearby. I booked a double-bedded room, but they only had two single beds put side, by side, with two single douvets - this was not very comfortable, nor correct to what I had booked with them.

Good hotel but not located in Cologne...

It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. I don't believe it warrants a 4* as its not plush enough for it.

Also, Expedia made out it was close to Cologne which it isn't. If you want a good value method of travel (instead of paying €30/40 each journey) I recommend using the trams and buses. The tram to and from the area where the hotel is located are excellent and very cheap (€4) but make sure you know when the last one is as I got caught out on Sunday night.

The journeys in and out were real eye openers and my friend and I saw some weird and wonderful sights.

All in all I still would recommend it to friends if they don't mind traveling into Cologne every day.

Ramada in Cologne Hurth

A typical Ramada - clean, efficient and with all the services you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well serviced. Food was satisfactory and well priced.

It is about 12k to 16k to the city centre depending on route. We used taxis which cost about 20€ for a single trip. Overall, a nice business hotel with good facilities.

Das Zimmer ist zwar etwas veraltet, dennoch war es sauber. Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich.

Tout était parfait. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et bien équipées.
Le petit déjeuner plus que copieux et de qualité. Tout le monde y trouve son compte.
L'hôtel en lui même est chic, élégant.
Le personnel est sympa.
Je recommande non seulement cet hôtel mais la chaîne de manière général pour en avoir déjà testé d'autres.
