Overall, the hotel was good and I had a pleasant stay. I did not receive any VIP benefits such as a room upgrade or similar perks. As an Expedia Gold Member, I was expecting at least one VIP offer from the hotel, but no benefits were provided at all. The only thing I received was early check-in

Additionally, the hotel did not provide slippers in the room. For a hotel of this quality, I consider this a significant downside, as even basic amenities like slippers are expected.

Staff was nice! Location is great. It’s very clean. The only thing is they don’t clean the rooms daily and the shower handle was broken unfortunately.

Staffs are friendly. But room is much older than the picture. So surprised they don’t have shampoo and conditioner, you wash everything with just one bottle of hand/body soup. Shower was broken too, can’t turn off the water easily. I also can’t lower the heat even I followed the instructions and I definitely won’t considered this is a 4 stars hotel at all!! Sorry don’t think I’ll return

Great stay at the Ameron Köln. Room was super comfortable, upscale and quiet. The Ameron really feels like a luxury hotel and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I am not too familiar with Cologne, but while the location of the hotel did not appear to be right in the center of everything, it was only a 10 minute walk to a main street where we already had dinner reservations, and maybe a 10 EUR Uber to other areas. A major train line runs literally right by the hotel and was very easy to catch back for our return home from old town. So perhaps there may be better locations to stay, but regardless, I would definitely choose the Ameron for next time. I loved it!

VIP Access? It seems to be a misunderstanding. The long check-in process required entering a list of personal information on a tablet in the warm reception area.
Rooms looked good and felt clean at the first glance, but there were black spots around the Bathtub and the view from the window was to a an unorganized parking space with untrimmed grass.

The hotel is very nice and in a great location.

The only complaint we had was the temperature of the room. There was no way to cool the room down even though there was air-conditioning. This was confirmed by two staff members on both days of our stay.

This meant the room was very uncomfortable to sleep in, at 23 degrees overnight, measured by the air conditioning system.

Opening the windows did help a bit but then there was a lot of street noise.

I enjoyed my stay at Ameron. The room was extremely comfortable and the service was excellent. I did not experience the meals during my stay, so I’m not able to give a review based on that. But for everything else, it was a definite joy. Even though it was away from the shopping districts, it was very easy to get there using the tram. Thank you Ameron!

Maike at the front desk was very gracious, knowledgeable, and helpful. Her advice and the Weihnaktsmarkts was spot-on, including the Strassenbahn lines.

Dinner was great, with wonderful service.

Air con set at 24* and we couldn’t change it - it was far too hot and airless!
Rooms only cleaned on request, meant we had to ask at Reception for toilet paper.
Despite, on arrival, the Receptionist insisted that no-one would enter the room unless we invited them by leaving the card on the door, everyday someone did enter when we weren’t there to leave a bottle of water!
Breakfast and restaurant service was fantastic.

Felt very safe staying here as a woman travelling alone. Breakfast felt a little limited, service was great then not great, and the bedding is very thin and tired. But it was super clean, had a great outside eating/drinking area, does great pizzas and was the perfect base for working/exploring in Ehrenfeld.

Clean modern hotel, conveniently located beside the U-Bahn line into the city centre. There are many lovely parks in this exclusive residential area which makes it a very pleasant place to stay. The bakery on the corner is literally the cherry on top where you indulge in “Kirschplunder” for breakfast.

Just been here last week and my stay has been by far one of the best hotel accommodation I have had. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this one surprised me. From the cleanliness of the hotel to the room and to the toilet has been extraordinary. I have not seen any molds, limescales or any dirt. The hotel room had ample space, too. I am really impressed. Also the room was well prepared with pillows, duvets and you do not even have to ask for extra. The concierge staff were friendly all the time. Provided bathrobes and slippers which some hotels won't with the same price but they do. Also near the public transport (3 mins walk) really enjoyed my stay here. Also used their Sauna and gym, very clean.

The only thing I did not try here was the breakfast because it was not included in my reservation. it was 21euro, I think it is a bit pricey but I do not know what is included as I never went down to have a look. But definitely enjoyed local breakfast in town.

The price of this hotel is not too expensive for the value you will get. First time to leave a tip for the housekeeper as I really was happy with everything. I highly recommend this place! And will definitely come back to this hotel if I go back to Köln.

Very modern hotel. All you expect of a modern hotel accept as a Brit no kettle or tea making facility… just a coffee machine. Lovely decor, gorgeous bathroom, lovely big bed. We stayed in a premium room which included parking. Just a Short walk to the tram which was very easy to get into the centre of Cologne.

L’Ameron di Colonia è un’hotel internazionale rinnovato qualche anno fa, con camere ben tenute è relativamente moderne. Nella camera sono stati lasciati dei piccoli omaggi, molto apprezzati.
Tuttavia, l’accoglienza è risultata essere abbastanza fredda e poco informativa. La colazione, a 20 € a persona, è abbastanza costosa. Per quanto riguarda la stanza, davvero molto scomoda la vasca: per docciarsi non vi è alternativa che tenere il doccino in mano. Non ideale.
Il centro dista sei fermate di tram, che si trova appena fuori l’hotel. Noi siamo anche tornati a piedi, ma è davvero molto lunga.
Un buon hotel, sicuramente uno dei migliori in città, ma con un rapporto qualità prezzo solo discreto.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Esp. The front desk manager who helped us make special accommodations for my husband who is disabled and he uses electric wheelchair. Location was not in the city but not to far from the uniklinik koln that we were visiting on most days.
The breakfast was included and was good.
I would definitely stay there again.

The staff including the front desk staff was exceptional accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast could use a bit of improvement. The location was great (about 6 km to city center). I must commend the front desk manager who was very understanding and respectful as well as very accommodating.

Worst night's sleep ever!

This was advertised to us with free parking. It was not free - it cost us EUR 20 per day!

They mixed up our rooms so the single got the double room and the couple got the single room.

The air con did not work in our room on one of the hottest days of the year! And to make matters worse, there is no way to open the windows to get some fresh air in. It was therefore sweltering and incredibly stuffy in our room and I had a headache all night. WORST NIGHT'S SLEEP EVER!!!

Nice hotel just outside the busy part of Koln.

Smashing hotel in a quiet area. Train very nearby for access to bars and restaurants.
Stayed for 3 nights while watching Stoke City play on Duisburg. Staff were very helpful and polite, very welcoming.
We did use the bar but not the restaurant as there were cheaper options within minutes.
Overall I would return and recommend the hotel.

Very pleasant stay; excellent location: close to everywhere by public transport yet very quiet; very welcome air conditioning in hot weather; plenty of places to eat/drink in the vicinity; can't comment on hotel breakfast - very nice, I'm sure, but at EUR 20 pp a bit pricey; would recommend this hotel to anyone and choose it again for our next stay in Cologne.

This hotel was meticulously clean, or room was spotless and very comfortable. The front desk staff are top notch and it is only a block to the tram, parking is available for an extra charge but the lot was secure and the spaces were large. Would not hesitate to stay again, perfect for a weekend in the city.

Very welcoming hotel and efficient and friendly staff, got the Expedia gold room upgrade and a welcome beer. Good location only a couple of minutes walk from the tram into the city centre. The room was nice but very cold and were unable to warm it properly with the controls. The first night however we let them know and they did bring us two extra duvets and blankets straight up to the room. They have a coffee machine in the rooms but you are expected to go and buy your own capsules for it as they don't replenish them after the first day and this is the only hot beverage provided. Other than this was a great place to stay to visit the city.

Fantastic staff, clean, comfortable rooms, excellent pillows (!!!), good WiFi coverage and very easy to reach central Cologne or the Messe via public transit. My only real complaint would be the price of breakfast and the restaurant. Granted the breakfast was very complete, but €20 seems excessive, especially for a longer stay. Also, a 75cl bottle of San Pellegrino was almost €9!!! I realize that they need to make a profit, but really?!??

Great hotel experience let down by rude member of

The hotel was in great condition, the room was clean and well decorated. The citi centre is only a few tramstops away. The only negative experience we had was the rude bartender who served us, but we didn't lose any sleep over it. However, rude people should have no place in hospitality so still thought it is worth a mention.

A true masterpiece of a hotel!

Upon my 8am arrival, I had previously planned how I was going to convince the receptionist to allow me to leave my luggage for safekeeping. I had to go to a fitness Expo and when booking the hotel online, it said the check-in time is at 2pm. Much to my surprise, they let me check-in at my arrival time. My eyebrows raised slightly and my cheeks expanded to a smile. Now shoe me more, I thought. The front desk staff were very warm and friendly and spoke good English. The hotel decor was very stylish and relaxing. The room was very clean and we'll presented. I could tell a lot of care was taken in preparing it. The bathroom with its walk-in shower was immaculate! I careered my way down towards the gym and found a tidy and well ventilated fitness room, which actually had a luxurious feel to it. By now I had made up my mind and self-rated this hotel as 4.5 stars. I loved every moment of my 24 hours stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.
