Room was in good conditionn. However 2 single beds on wheels (like in a hospital) and no double bed. Beds had not been moved to sweep/vacuum under them which was full of dust. Could not get any mobile phone signal in the room or anywher on the 1st floor.
Reception staff unhelpful to resove these issues.
Check-in process very slow and unable to complete check in formalities on-line prior to arrival.
Excellent Breakfast, although no eggs were available one morning!

Staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The toilet bowl had water stains where previously had a leak. The shower cubicle was not perfectly clean due to some water stains. The limescale from the bidet tap was not fully descaled especially the base of the tap. One of the towels provided was old and shredded along the sides. Initially when we came into the room the complimentary bottle of water was missing however after we left the room and returned later the bottle of water was provided. The room service was slightly disappointing because a used glass was not replaced. The bed was very comfortable with great pillows. The aircon was working well.
Location was not the closest to the city however it is walkable (20 minutes).

One night Cologne family trip.

We stayed here as a one night stay as a family on route down to Switzerland, it was a little challenging to find the hotel park through google maps and were provided with a room with two doubles when I had asked for single beds in the children room but the hotel staff where really accommodating and helpful. We all slept amazing well after a long journey.

We had a great stay for 3 nights here. It was such a beautiful location - lovely walking out to the water, and behind was a lovely park.
The bed was comfy, room was spacious. We had to take the key card out at night as it was really loud (the actual slot seemed to make a vibration noise, as well as the air con). We also said we’d appreciate another pillow, although they probably would’ve provided them had we asked.
We didn’t eat here or have breakfast so can’t comment on that.
Overall a great stay, thanks very much!

The hotel is great as is the location, but some members of staff need better customer service! Despite advising them 2 times that we couldn’t check in until the morning after our reservation we were made to feel like we we causing them a problem when we arrived ‘late’. One of the days there was no hot water and our coffee machine was kaput!

The room was very spacious an clean. The bed was super confortable. The shower was absolutely lovely. You got to use the shower. I would love one at home like this. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that could be better is a tea kettle rather being on a table then in a shelf. Very hard to work in there and the steam will bend the shelf after time. But I absolutely loved my stay.

Nice hotel. It has a sweet small bar area. Breakfast was ok but not worth the money. Allowing for late breakfasts, would clearly help as the restaurant area was overfull when we ate there. Coffee machine in the room was a pleasant plus. Bed was quite hard but not uncomfortable. Service was very good.

The location is about 20 minute walk to the Dom, there were also restaurants and bars around the hotel area.

Overall, I really liked this hotel. It was clean, quiet, and the staff was accommodating. They even provided free drink coupons when you did not receive housekeeping services. That was a nice perk. The only issue I had was with pick up from ride share services. The drivers were unable to come pick us up from the front of the hotel because it was blocked off. The first driver just canceled because he didn't know how to get there. I eventually found out that there was an underground garage but it was too late by that point. I would still stay there again!

The property an the whole experience was amazing and super positive.
Beautiful room, perfectly clean, very convinent location, super friendly personell.
The best part was the breakfast: there were gluten free options in single package (so no risk to be contaminated), there were 3 different kinds of vegan milk, and all the dishes had the allergens written next to them. A nice choice of food and teas. It is really suggested for someone with many allergies or diet restrictions.

We stayed for an extended weekend as a family of four to see the Christmas markets in Cologne. The rooms were satisfactory and the hotel reception and reception staff were all very friendly and professional. However, the cleaning service was definitely lacking. The floors were always a little grimy with water spots and dust in corners as if they hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, and the cleaners were quite insistent on ignoring the do not disturb signs on more than one occasion. Our teas and coffee pods were not consistently topped up. The thing that upset us the most was the fact that the cleaning staff didn't seem to take note of the eco-towel rules. We hung our towels up on the rail to indicate we wanted to reuse them each day, but when we arrived back in our rooms, we found they had been replaced with completely new towels. This happened every day. We dread to think how much bigger the washing and electricity consumption is as a result of the cleaning staff replacing all the towels in all the rooms on our floor, if not the hotel. Please address this with your staff!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was of a very high standard and the excellent customer service was really appreciated after our long train journey from England. Lars Henning on reception gave our family a very warm welcome. The small touches like the free sweets, fruit and water were very nice and the extensive breakfast was greatly enjoyed by us all. Our stay at NH Collection Mediapark Köln will be one that will stay in our hearts forever more. Our stay exceeded our expectations by far. I advised the hotel prior to our stay that the occasion for our trip was a wedding anniversary. Issam Bouya, Guest Relations Manager was extremely kind to provide us with extras such as a room upgrade, breakfast, a cake, Prosecco and kölsch vouchers. These kind gestures went above and beyond. We felt as if we were on our honeymoon again!! He was so very helpful in providing details of real authentic German places to eat and drink. This was something which was very warmly received. Issam had such a friendly personality and a heart of gold. The hotel is immaculate and has a classy feel from the moment you walk through the door. The rooms have incredible views of the Cathedral and on a sunny morning it’s a delight to wake up to. The rooms are so spacious, they are fully equipped with everything you need and more! The hotel is just outside the main city which is perfect if you want to be away from the overcrowded streets. This hotel is truly a gem of a place and I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks for creating memories which will last a LIFETIME! :-)

All the staff was approachable, nice and professional.
Our room: was light, spacious, clean with a great view on the cathedral
We loved the breakfast, the selection is large, ex : 10 kind of juices, sparkling wine, lot of different types of breads,pastries and no queuing.
Location: very central, 10 mns walk from the nearest metro, 10 mns walk from the city centre, quiet area ,away from the city trafic
Spa: not the biggest spa I ever seen but still it was clean and we enjoyed it.
Bar : cosy bar with good selections, and great deals

This hotel stay was by far the best out of all the hotel experiences in Germany, and well it should be as it was a bit of a splurge for me since it was my last day in Germany. I was very pleased with everything, from the check in process, to the quality of the room, and especially with the feast that was spread out for breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and warm, they stored our luggage and lent us umbrellas when we needed it. As it was December, the hotel lobby welcomed guests with free spiced wine and cookies, a great thing to come back to the hotel to! The room overall was very spacious, and actually had a king sized bed that was not two beds pushed together, unlike many other hotels in Europe. The mattress was decently firm, pillows were soft but not too soft, seemed like it had good fill. The bathroom included a overhead rain shower with good water pressure and consistent hot water, and included little bottles of shampoo, body wash, body milk and a tube of hair mask, no conditioner. Breakfast was something to look really forward to, I'd never seen such a spread! I was particularly impressed with a \"wall\" of loose leaf tea and the honey comb set that was put out for guests to put real honey into their meals. The only thing to note is it does seem a bit far from the city center, it'll be a bit of a walk compared to other hotels but that wasn't a problem for me. Overall, a wonderful stay and though it was only for one night, I wish it was for more.

The hotel is really nice and we enjoyed the area. It's an easy walk to a lot of bars and restaurants. My only complaint was the check-in/out process. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes when we arrived and then the person who checked us in did so under the wrong name. Luckily I noticed that the check out date was wrong and he changed us to the correct room. However when we went to check out I had to fill out all of the paperwork again since what I filled out at check-in was for the wrong room. Check-out ended up taking 15+ minutes, which was super frustrating because our parking meter expired during that time and we were worried about getting a ticket. Other than the front desk not seeming like they had their act together it was a very nice stay. The room was nice and we enjoyed the hotel bar (the service there was great).

This is a reasonably new hotel in Cologne, in a custom built media park not too far from the edge of the old town. It was a perfect location for our stay in Cologne. The hotel is very comfortable and modern and importantly incredibly quiet. Our room was spacious and clean. The only complaint we would have is the air conditioning. With it turned up as high as it goes the room was still not cool enough for us to sleep comfortably. As for location, Cologne Cathedral is about a 20 minute walk. It is easy to also walk to other shopping and dining parts of the city in about the same amount of time. We took a taxi home one night from the centre of the old town for about €12.

Great stay for family of 3. Movie theater and restaurants nearby, right next to a large park for running, and walkable (1.6 km) to the cathedral. Parking in garage below the hotel and validated at the front desk! Room was clean, with a/c and modern bathroom with rainfall shower.

Quiet corner in a vivid town
