There's a staircase to be taken to the premier plus rooms, so if you have heavy suitcases be wary of this. Otherwise location and room wise it was excellent

Loved the location really close to the main action in Köln. They were clearly starting to open after Covid closure.
People at reception were excellent but I saw about 4-5 different staff memebers and looks like they do not talk to each other.
Some issues with the room like no air conditioning and with the warm weather it is just unbearable.
Also the fridge inside the room was not working and could never be repaired after 2 nights (they forgot).
Finally, while we were leaving, I mentioned the hot rooms and a staff member mentioned fans!!! No one offered the fans!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and this modern hotel was well kept and in good condition. The only downside really was there was no air conditioning in the room which made it difficult to sleep during the hot summer nights of my visit.

I am impressed about the cleanliness of the hotel. I did not try the breakfast, but eating outside was not expensive. I would recommend to eat outside since there are many restaurants or café nearby, so you can feel the local. The location of hotel is perfect in which you can walk to many landmarks without sweating (it's probably too cold as well so I didn't sweat).Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place due to its price, location and cleanliness!

Staff was not very friendly. Hotel is just okay with nothing special to make you comfortable. The lift didn’t work and there was nobody willing to help with our luggage. As a result my back was hurt. Unimpressed with this one! We did ask for help but was told, sorry, there’s nobody here to help you. We will not return.

Check in took forever. It wasn’t even that we had people in front of us. The pillows were the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. It was as if they were washed and the filling clumped up in large balls. We had 3 rooms in our group all were the same. The location was great and the rooms were clean. Good value for money but give yourself some time and take your own pillow.

The Room was very spacious, with a smallish bathroom. the shower was reliant on reflected light.
Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order for the 2 days I was there. Also there was no room safe, although there is one at reception.
As I have found in Germany, the TV has many stations but little in english.
Overall though I would recommend this hotel. It had a homely feel about it, it was reasonably priced, quiet and in a good location. And don’t forget to grab a piece of fruit from reception on the way out each day.

It was a short walk from main train station and away from busy area. Hotel was very cosy and pleasant the same as lady at reception. I had a deluxe room at the top floor which was a bit of a treck to get to especially when you have a heavy suitcase, but it was fine by me, but might be a problem for elder people.
I really needed a shot of strong coffee to keep me going with the rest of the evening, but there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and not even downstairs when I asked, so I think that is something that hotel should look into. Overall I really enjoyed the stay.

Having stayed in the hotel several times before when it is the Cristal and I had excellent service. I was very disappointed that the new owners have not updated the décor or the furniture. They have closed down the bar even thou it is advertised on Expedia as having one. The breakfast is ok but the staff are not very attentive, you had to ask a couple of times to get some coffee, the tables were not cleared quickly even the general maintenance man had to cleared the tables one morning as there was nowhere to sit. Also the free WIFI was a nice touch but it was not very reliable as it kept dropping out.
The hotel either needs a complete overhaul with a new identity and some money spent on it or shut it down.
They have ruined a good hotel with a good location near the main train station.
I will be booking a different hotel the next time I visit Cologne.

Boutique 009 is very close to the main train station in Cologne. This makes it well situated for exploring the city.
The reception and dining areas have been refurbished in a trendy style, which makes them comfortable, warm and welcoming.
The staff were all very helpful and polite.

Could hardly sleep two nights - rooms very warm and located Very close to the train station. The first night I just heard trains all night and it kept me up. Asked for a new room the following day and got moved which was a lot better. Overall the hotel is good for what you pay for. Service is okay. Location is really good, really close to the centre and easy to get to the train station.

The location of Boutique 009 was fantastic - literally a stone's throw away from the train station and therefore within view of the famous Cologne Cathedral. Staff were all friendly and accommodated us really well as we arrived super early and asked if we could leave our bags somewhere while we explored the city. There's a cute pizza place just around the corner which we had dinner in one evening.
Cannot comment on breakfast as we could not justify paying almost 9 euro each for it when there were ample bakeries scattered all around the city. It did however smell amazing whenever we walked through in a morning!

Spacious and clean room but very noisy due to a busy road right under the windows. Ventilation in the room was not sufficient and forced to open the windows which created even more traffic noise. The breakfast was the best I had all week staying around Germany. So many choices and price was very reasonable. The hotel is close to city center and the train station in Cologne so be aware that night life and trains passing by may be a bit noisy if you are not used to the city life.

I don't often leave reviews but this was not a good experience. The specific room we were in was not good at all. Never mind the fact that it was on the ground floor and that we could hear everything that was going on outside if we opened the windows. This we can live with, it's a city hotel. The main issue is that the restroom really smelled of urine constantly. There is also a sewer smell in there. Also, there is this noise coming from an adjacent room that sounds like a garbage compactor and it happens over and over all day.
As mentioned before, I don't know how it is on upper floors, but I would avoid the 1st floor. Also, probably not a good option for business trips as there is one iron and you have to go to the 3rd floor with your clothes to use it.

The room was well equipped, including TV, desk, plenty of electrical outlets, hair dryer. There is no A/C, but an oscillating fan did the trick. The single rooms are nice and spacious. On check-in, I was upgraded to a room with AC. This was much appreciated as this summer in Europe is very hot. The front desk staff are courteous and helpful. They have free Wifi which was decent.

Hotel is clean and in a great location. There is a free bottle of water in the room as well as a mini bar but no safe. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food. There is a hotel bar but it was closed. The TV in the rooms do not have any news channels in any language and as a person who likes to be abreast of the daily going ons in the world I found this very frustrating. Overall though a nice place to stay in a great location

A bedroom on the sidewalk
We took a room for three people through the site. When we arrived at the hotel they gave us a room whose window was on the sidewalk and everyone who passed by or sat by the window heard the room safe. On the first night a number of drunken people sat drinking two bottles of drink on the window and could not sleep all night. In the morning we asked the reception desk to change a room because it was as if we were sleeping in the room but you were feeling outside and we were told that all three rooms had a window on the sidewalk. I think that if a hotel does not have good conditions for sleep then it will not sell its rooms to sleep because they do not fit at all. If you wish, I can send you a picture of our windowsill every morning

We stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and it was brilliant. Nice and quiet and large soft bed. Shower was great with good pressure. Reception were helpful with giving us advice on transportation back to the airport. Downstairs the decor seemed a little tired but overall, a nice hotel.

The hotel is clean, but they have a tendency to want to clean your room by 09:00am so if you want a lie in you'll need to stick the \"do not disturb\" sign on the door. We had some rowdy neighbours at 02:00am but that can happen anywhere. The toilet is a bit difficult to flush as well. Overall though the hotel is more than adequate and its very close to the Cathedral

Overall the experience at Boutique 009 was very good. There were a few places where the drains smelled a bit and it would have been nice to have a bar at the hotel. Apart from that, it was clean, staff were friendly and efficient and breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel, staff at check in and out were friendly and easy to deal with when our first room was not suitable. The room was clean, and comfortable, the room was right above the front entrance door to the hotel which meant some slamming kept us awake on the first night.
