Great location on the front in St Julian’s bay, good sea view. Breakfast was a good start to the day and comfortable room. Only issue for me was cleanliness- there was a used bag of soap being the sink, which tells me it was not cleaned properly. Other than that all ok

Without doubt the greatest aspect of this hotel are the staff from the cleaning staff to the reception team They all work tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of your stay is first class
From a welcoming smile upon booking in to a personalized service at breakfast The staff are excellent
Even the leaning staff go out their way to ensure your stay is stress free
Yes the rooms are clean the bedding comfortable and the hotel itself is well presented but the staff are first class

Hugs mistake. I got bedbugs bite, you will have a bad experience, Malta was very beautiful place. But this hotel was the worse place and terrible. The hotel doesn’t take care anything, they don’t care customer. I asked for refund or change the room. They refused to be responsible for it.

First Class experience

I've made over 30 trips to Malta and this is my go to hotel for Malta. Always staying at this hotel.
The staff are exceptional in the way they look after guests the hotel is clean and tidy and rooms and beds are comfortable.
if you include breakfast there is a good selection of hot and cold foods with all the staples you would expect and I found all my meals to be filling and of a really high standard.
The local area has a good selection of cafes and restaurants all of which are reasonably priced and serve good quality plentiful food.
It can get busy at times being on the coastal road but I've never found it too noisy. Easy walking distance for local transport and tourist buses
Would happily recommend and will be staying there later in the year

Good aspects were a convenient location, spacious and clean room with lovely view of St Julian's Bay and friendly, helpful reception staff. Only downside was that it is a bit noisy - on a busy road close to bars, and there was quite a lot of noise from other residents playing loud music in their rooms.

Nothing like the pictures, we had anticipated a pool due to the picture as well as basic amenities such as a fridge. Hairs were in the sink upon arrival and black mold in the ceiling. Staff was the main redeeming factor as they were incredibly helpful and kind. Facility is just lacking overall especially for the price compared to other locations around the area.

Good location and easy to commute around, bus stop was literally outside the hotel, as well as beach and a lot of good and decently priced restaurants and cafe's. Cleanliness though was terrible. When we have checked in in the room, we straight away have noticed a dirty floor, especially under the desk in corners. Headboard was covered in fluffy white dust that you could see from distance. My white socks turned instantly grey once stepping out of my shoes and walking to the bathroom. We have stayed there 7 nights and on several occasions asked cleaning staff and also front office staff if somebody could clean the floor in our room, but there was no response. On one evening after returning to our room and seeing that floor is still dirty, I even was prepared to clean the floor myself, but I could not find anybody, as they already have left. On Friday our bins in the room were not emptied and, although fresh towels were left on the bed, dirty towels were not collected from the bathroom and left there on floor. Because of the cleanliness issues, we will be choosing different hotel when staying in this area.

It was okay, great convenient location. Would recommend for a short stay if your itinerary is to see Sliema and Valletta. Floors were dirty, no bar fridge (which would’ve been nice to cool our water in 35o heat!), balcony was tiny and balcony door didn’t lock. Also only had one key between us, so meant we had to leave the room door unlocked if we went our separate ways.

Property was situated along a lovely and busy stretch of the Bay which made the easy to access loads of lovely spots within walking distance. Property itself was quite dingy and the room I stayed in had one very high inaccessible window that made my room feel like a prison. The hotel reception smelt as if all the cigarette been smoked at St Julian's bay was being sucked straight into it. The reception was also dingy and not well lit. The staff's attitude was just ok. They tried to be helpful but it felt surface type most times.

Did the job.

It was quick one night stay as we were heading to one of the club's in Malta that night. Toilet was fine and beds were good also. However, the room door was very difficult to lock and the room window didn't lock which was a big security concern. I wouldn't stay there again for longer trips.

Convenient location. Good value for money.

The hotel is in a great location. Accross from St. Julian's beach and few steps from the bus stop. Easy to get to Valletta from here and you can walk to St. George's Bay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bath tub had a leak and they fixed right away after we reported it. I highly recommend the breakfast. It wasn't expensive buy had everything you need to fuel up and get ready for the day. Vending machines at the lobby were a life saver as we arrived after midnight on a Sunday night and all the restaurants were closed. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is my go to hotel in Malta although there has been some enforced COVID changes since my last visit
Room on the7th floor was clean and kept clean to a good standard throughout my stay
Staff have changed since my last visit but they remain friendly and Willing to help any request
The breakfast was a bit disappointing but clearly enforced changes due to COVID but the portions were small and it seemed rushed
Compared to previous visits
Overall the hotel remains central to the things I want to visit and is a good base it has retainedits friendly and welcoming manner

The first impressions was okay, the reception looked nice and the staff seemed friendly enough.
Upon arriving at our room there was a horrible sewerage smell in the room and we had a lovely view of a very noisy road.
The windows are terrible you can hear everything !
We are not ones to complain so we put up with it, till three days into our stay and upon entering our room i notice the safe was open ( this was shut when we left that morning with our money and passports in) there was 60 euros missing! What makes things worse my mother in law also had money taken fro. Her room too. We spoke to the manager straight away, after she spoke to the cleaner, and reviewed the CCTV (although firstly the cleaner isnt going to admit he took it and secondly the camra was not covering our door, and there certainly shouldn't be camras in the rooms) she said the cleaner said he didn't take it. We got the police involved and she basically said and I quote 'we have insurance that's fine' .
I would not recommend this hotel, and the manager basically has an attitude of well it's not my problem!! We have travelled many places in the world and this is one of the worst hotels we have stayed in.

This was a great hotel for my stay in Malta when I was there for the week, the location is great and really convenient for getting around and seeing the various sites with bus stops two minutes away on foot.
The room was comfy and had all the necessary amenities, the price was brilliant and the staff were so helpful.

I can't find anything negative to say about this place. St. Julian's Bay Hotel is a gem, across the street and overlooking a part of the St. Julian's Bay and it's beautiful blue-green water. The hotel is surrounded by amazing restaurants of all kinds and price range, though you wouldn't need to hunt for breakfast as the hotel has an amazing 8 euro per person buffet breakfast, English/American and European styles and all kinds of coffee, breads, and a selection of fruit. And if you really want to eat cheaply, there is a nice supermarket 2 blocks away. Also, the hotel is on the public bus route and the hop on hop off bus route. So, with the very affordable hotel cost, amazing views, and convenient location, don't miss this one, but make sure you ask for an ocean view room with a balcony when you book.

The staff on check-in were super helpful and patient with us, as we were deliberating whether to book directly with them or through hotels.com. They even let me charge my phone as I was making the online booking.
The room was larger than expected but a bit basic. I didn't find the bed comfortable at all but then I am very picky about beds. The worst thing was the bed linen did not smell as fresh as it might have done, but have a few drinks before bed, and you probably wouldn't notice.
Overall, very good value for money in a central location, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and lovely, helpful staff on Reception.

The location of the hotel is fantastic - great restaurants all around, easy access to transport and a small sandy beach 100 feet away (the beach was pretty dirty at times so we preferred to swim off the rocks nearby). But high praise to the staff member at the front desk who moved us to a larger room after the first night due to a malfunctioning air conditioner. She was wonderful!

I arrived four hours earlier than the check in time, the day manager gave me a room without charging me that was a nice gesture on his behalf,the location is in the heart of St. Julian Bay, the room was great, the bathroom smaller than what I'm used to but was clean, the bed was comfortable with clean sheets, nice fluffy towels air-conditioning worked well, on the negative side a small fridge is needed to make this a great stay.

The hotel needs an update and to improve the way cleaners check if the rooms are free for cleaning.
Cleaners knocked in our door twice during our stay to check if we were there or not, this happened around 8am (too early for holidays).
We could hear the noise from the outside street, which is a busy one.

We stayed in a family room of 3 singles. Great location and beautiful room. View was of another apartment block, but then the room was just a base to sleep in whilst exploring the island.
Bars outside the hotel offering lovely food and drinks. Soft drinks available to buy from reception and vending machines in the foyer.
Only slight issue was the entrance to the shower, if you were a larger person you will find the shower doors difficult to squeeze through.
Pleasant staff and an ideal location. Perfect for families and couples alike to use as a base to explore.
Would stay here again next time we visit the island.

Exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this price range and staring. It was really nice and comfortable as well as clean. Decent breakfast which included bread, toaster, cereal, fruit, egg, sausage/bacon, beans, yoghurt, cheeses etc. Decent bath and shower. Rooms a nice size. Decent TV and wifi. No fridge perhaps the only downside. Lovely staff on reception.

Pictures are very decieving, lobby is extremely small, check in time is very late at 3pm. The rooms are poorly decorated and maintained with very little natural light as the majority of rooms face an alleyway.
Linens all had a strong smell that was unbearable for my partner and I, we had to spray them with perfume in order to sleep. Bathrooms had a strong musty and damp smell, terrible for asthmatics.
On a good not,there were plenty of power outlets in the room, there were extra pillows in the very large closets and the staff were extremely friendly and polite.
We were fortunate to be able to choose a different room as the first room given was woeful. So we got a bigger room.
The hotel has no amenities whatsoever, if you're like OKing for somewhere just to sleep and nothing more, this is a good choice.

This is the second time I've booked this hotel as it's really handy for getting buses to Valletta and fairly near sliema ferries if you want to get a boat to Gozo. Rooms are cleaned each day. Staff are really pleasant. Breakfast is good but also plenty of places to eat close by. There is no bar in this hotel but that didn't bother me. We spent all day doing the touristy thing and really just needed a Base to sleep. Would book again.

Rooms could be better furnished

The general quality of the hotel is let down by the minimal furniture in the room - very little storagw - and the tiny size or the bathroom

Great location! But breakfast food wasn’t great, yogurt was gross and sausages weren’t cooked properly. Bed was really hard and we didn’t get a room that had a balcony which I was disappointed about. However the staff were great and we arrived quite early and were tired and they let us check in 2 hours early and got the room ready for us super quick :)

Bathroom is very very small. Bathroom sink and shower was leaking, told front desk twice and showed housekeeping. Said will send somebody immediately but nothing was done. TV volume was not working and told the front desk about it two days in row. Said the same thing, will get somebody right away to fix it. Nothing was ever done for entire 5 night stay.
