The hotel and facilities are lovely. The room and all areas are spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and all fresh. The staff are so friendly and really welcoming. The extra touches, like the birthday cake left in the fridge added a really personal feel to the stay. I would highly recommend

Staff were very nice. The hotel itself has the potential to be great but just misses the mark on a few things. The spa facilities and pool area could do with an update. The pool are both quite small and only really feel.suitable for 1 family at a time. The jacuzzi is also quite intimate and was also not warm.enough to be enjoyable.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The decor was a little wierd but thats down to personal taste. The main issue we had was yhe AC not working eventhough we were constantly calling reception to fix it. They would put it on for a couple of hours when we'd call and then switch it back off which meant disturbed sleep every night.

Staff is excellent, they go out of their way to help. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. If you are worried about airport transport,Bolt is available at any time within 5 min. We left at 3 am and got a Bolt in 4 min, cost 12 Euro.

El hotel es hermoso, moderno. Al llegar fuimos recibidos con una gran sonrisa y una bebida de bienvenida. La habitación (Executive Suite con whirpool y cocina) esta hermosamente decorada y amplia. La cama y almohadas son muy cómodas. Tiene un balcón enorme con vista a la bahía y un jacuzzi para 4 personas. El desayuno tipo buffet es muy amplio y variado con opciones frías, calientes, cereales, lácteos y panadería. Jugos y máquina de café. Cuenta con parqueo privado aunque la entrada es bastante estrecha y se necesita pericia por parte del conductor. El hotel esta bien ubicado en la bahía de San Julián. Las instalaciones, amenities y calidez del personal hacen de este Hotel una experiencia única y totalmente recomendable.

Holm Boutique Hotel is well situated with just a short walk to the beach for a swim, and neighbouring bays with lots of different dining options. It is very easy to get transport to explore further with Valetta only a short drive away. The hotel has excellent spa facilities for use as a guest with lots of treatments to choose from. Breakfast was lovely, a great start to the day of exploring. We loved it and will be back!

We stayed in ground floor jacuzzi room. The bed was very comfortable and room size good. Fitting and furnishing is a bit dated but bearable. The room lacked good light and there were several mosquitos when we arrived. The shower gel smells of sulphur to emulate a spa, not really a good choice. Would expect some body lotion since it's a spa.

Really liked the decor. Quite unusual and unique. Our suite was excellent with plenty of space and very clean All the staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was among the best we have seen. We had a spa treatment that was fabulous. Overall we really liked the place.

There were a few negatives, however. These were: the view from our room was poor, the shower door was broken and difficult to use, the cold tap on the bath did not work properly and the bottom sheet on the bed had a small hole in it.

Overall disappointing, though management did attempt to fix some issues when we complained.
-Customer service needs improvement; staff often chat during breakfast with little to no work to do, while at other times, only one receptionist is available and can't leave the desk (especially at night; management suggested it is a cost-saving exercise).
-Room service was poor; on 3 occasions we had to request toilet rolls, and on 1 occasion soap refills as they weren't replenished after cleaning.
-Breakfast was very poor with limited continental choices that were often stale, like bread, or became unavailable, like fruit yoghurt. The hot breakfast was lukewarm and quickly went cold. Needs more vegetarian/vegan options.
-The gym is tiny and rundown, accommodating a maximum of two people. The air conditioning was off, making it warm. Management said it could be turned on upon request, but there’s no signage indicating this.
-Room maintenance was disappointing: black mold in shower grout, patchy paintwork, bubbling wallpaper, and torn rugs, falling short of advertised standards.
-The pool and communal tanning areas were also disappointing; the pool is cold, and sun loungers are tightly packed. The plants are dying. Ugly surrounding buildings.
-At times, it felt like a hostel, with groups playing loud music in rooms, drinking vodka, and playing drinking games.
-The approach to the hotel is on a slippery, steep slope surrounded by dilapidated buildings and noisy ongoing construction.

Hotel is closed to the beach but access to it can prove difficult for people with mobility issues given the road leading to it is quite steep. Didn't use the spa and other facilities but the jacuzzi was not very clean. The pool on the roof is nice but very small. Rooms are a bit dated. Bed very comfortable. Rooms with seaviews are much more expensive. Most rooms have balconies at the back with views of other flats. Rooms are cleaned daily. There is a good spread of hot and cold food for breakfast. Staffs are very friendly. There are very few sandy beaches in Malta and the one in Balluta bay is quite popular and 5 mins walk from the hotel. Good public transport link esp the use of a daily or weekly pass. Availability of buses to all parts of the island from Bulluta including airport. We didn't hire a car but used public transport to travel all over the island. As we landed at Malta airport we bought a weekly bus pass for 25 euros. Very good value for money. Loads of eating places nearby, from fine dining to eating at food court or even a McDonald's. Prices vary, but reasonable.

Had a leaking shower and didn't get clean towels some days (despite having to use them to clean up the water that leaked). Spa facilities were good but the staff were a little disorganised but all got resolved in the end. Pool area was simple but nice. Shout out to Jeffrey who helped us with a smashed bottle one night and could not have been more accommodating. We enjoyed our time here.

We booked the Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed & Hot Tub for 10 nights. It’s on the ground floor, so only downside is there’s barely any sunlight in the room, due to the building next to the hotel & for some reason we got bitten a lot. Other than that the room is very spacious, bed is so comfortable and loved the shower. Loads of storage space & there’s a mini fridge. There’s 24hr room service so you can order water and drinks whenever you like. There’s an option in your room for your room to be cleaned and you can do this option every day if you want, which is lovely to come back to a clean bedsheets, fresh towels after a day out. The staff are wonderful so helpful and nice. The inside and outdoor pool facilities are nice. Good thing about this hotel is there’s around 30 rooms so it was never crowded which is nice. Breakfast was nice. Always different egg options (fried, scrambled, tarts) and the sweet options (pancakes, crepes etc.) changed every day. Wasn’t aware of how nice the area is, there’s loads of local restaurants. We had a pastizzi shop which is a 5 min walk from the hotel which we frequented. There’s also a Costa, Wagamamas and McDonald’s about 15/20 walk from the hotel too. Also a beach nearby but it’s dirty so we didn’t go there which was a shame. The hotel is on a very steep hill but you’ll get used to the exercise

The hotel could be really, really nice and is described as a 5 start but is not. The facilities are good in terms of rooms with hot tubs and terraces. The main issue is the standard of overall cleanliness which is low. Behind the reception and in front of the lifts, the floor mat is absolutely filthy and does not seem to have been washed or vacuumed once when we were there for nearly a week. The hallway carpets are also dirty.
The main issue was breakfast. It was ALL open, even hot foods. This meant flies could very easily fly around and sit on the foods. The first day we saw the breakfast area, we were really worried about the hygiene. 3 out of 4 of the party ended up getting food poisoning, one person severely with lots of vomiting and diarrhoea. One poor cleaner had to clean vomit from the little kitchenette in the room. We didn’t have breakfast for the last 3 days. We wanted to check out of couple of days early but were told we could not.
The lack of cleanliness is what let this place down which is a shame because with effort and commitment, this hotel could be 5 star.

The hotel is tastefully done, the staff is incredibly friendly,
the breakfast is very tasty. Maybe we were just disturbed by the view from the room because you can only see the neighboring buildings.
The hike to the coast is a bit uncomfortable because it is very hilly and you need to be in good shape to get to and from the beach
Otherwise, I recommend it for a couple of days off.

Front desk suggested opening balcony door to cool room. Unacceptable for guests with sinus condition. Also, guests should be warned hotel is up a steep hill which could be a challenge for guests.

Excellent staff at this hotel. Always happy to help. Some things are difficult because of covid like getting breakfast. The buffet isn’t self service to reduce contact between customers. You have to ask the staff to get it for you. There is often some language issue but it’s not their fault.

The hot tub on the balcony was an excellent addition to our stay as it’s so relaxing and private.

The facilities in the room are comprehensive and of a good standard. Housekeeping isn’t the best as they didn’t always remember to leave you with extra loo rolls each day, resulting in us running out completely one morning just after we got up. We phoned reception to ask if someone can bring extra ones to the room but it never came.

They can also do with more thorough cleaning of the rooms during a stay. There were dead flies when we opened the curtains and the net curtains leading onto the balcony were either a weird colour or haven’t been laundered for some time. Also it’s worth considering changing the bedding when a room is occupied for a whole week. A wet pillow isn’t the nicest thing to find at bed time.

Quiet little gem, at the heart of, St Julians

For our first time in Malta, we couldn't really have picked a better place. With a great location, in the heart of St Julians and close the main roads to other parts of the island, it was also somehow tucked away on a side street, meaning that was never any noise.
The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. I'd advised them that we were spending our 3rd wedding anniversary there and they greeted us with a bottle of prosecco on arrival. The staff clearly had more work than they might usually, with covid restrictions meaning they had to serve us directly from the buffet at breakfast, but they were never any less than cheerful and welcoming, going out of their way to give you a bright start to your day. They also did a great job in the spa, whether it was for our couples massage experience which was outstanding, or simply attending to us with towels, etc, when we wanted to use the facilities.
The room and hotel facilities in general were great and I would definitely recommend the hot tub room, which was the perfect way to relax in privacy after a day's exploring. The bed and mattress were great and the sheets and towels were so good that my wife has been investigating the manufacturer to buy more online (this is not an exaggeration!)

Breakfast was varied and delicious, and I was able to enjoy hot food on some days, and a croissant, jame and fruit on others, never feeling less than full.

Great quirky little hotel

Fantastic stay at Holm boutique and spa hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, the hotel is small but with good facilities and quirky decor. It is quite new only opened in September 2019. All the rooms are individually furnished and some even to a theme have special names. We stayed in room 3323 safari, a family suite with 2 king sized beds separated by an interior wall, table and chairs, a large bathroom with rainfall shower and egg shaped free standing bath, kitchen area with oven, hob, fridge, kettle toaster, and coffee machine. Balcony with table and chairs. Our towels coffee, tea etc were refilled everyday and there was a limitless supply of bottled water,

This hotel has one of the best customer service experiences we have ever had and we have travelled many times. The interior decor detail is hard to match at such a great price and quality. The breakfasts were a fabulous start to the day and the spa was kept in too condition. Excellent stay at HOLM - if we return to Malta we will stay again at HOLM.

Absolutely exceptional hotel. From the moment I walked in and was handed a glass of champagne by Maria at the front desk, I knew I was in for an amazing time. Very elegantly decorated and well laid out rooms. Would also like to thank the Manager Robert who went out of his way for all the hotel guests. We were celebrating my nephew's birthday, and the staff helped in every way to make it a special day. Incredible rooftop pool with beautiful views of Balutta Bay. Looking forward staying very soon and spending some quality time in the spa!! Thank you again everyone Holm for making my stay a truly memorable one!!

Great staff, breakfast selection was enjoyable. Design was very stylish with good sized rooms. Spa was not in a fully usable condition, some building work being carried out so place was dusty in certain communal areas. A few finishes looked rushed as if the hotel needed to open before being properly completed.

Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet. Alles war sauber. Zimmer allerdings hellhörig, zumindest bei unserem Zimmer mit Verbindungstür. Ansonsten alles top. Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer vorhanden. Frühstück war gut und ausreichend.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Hotel liegt auf einer Anhöhe, man sollte gut zu Fuss sein, aber toller Ausblick von der Dachterrasse. Viele Restaurants in der Umgebung.
