Room was clean and tidy, plenty of space. Towels, toiletries are provided. The room also has a kettle, tea, coffee, and a smart TV which you can cast to. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is plenty of lounge space and activities on the ground floor. Lovely stay!

No hot water from aroun 20:00 until 06:30. Poor noise insulation so constant traffic noise. No Blackout curtains so also bright throughout night. Very poor for sleep.

Wonderful hotel! The Staff is very friendly and helpful, they make you feel at home and very Welcome. The lobby and lounge areas are super well design and the Gym is wonderful all good quality equipment! Internet works good as a digital nomad. Rooms are very spacious and bed is nice and big. The stay wasn't as good as the first time we stayed. The room seems to not be as clean and tidy and their was parts of the decore coming off especially in the bathroom a bove the shower. The ceiling had crumbling paint and the toilet had a brown stain in the bowl. The sink again wasn't tidy as it was last year. The bed also wasn't comfortable, it's advertised as a king size bed, which infact was two single beds joined together leaving a uncomfortable crack down the middle of the bed. Also no king size duvet, rather two single duvets, no very nice when trying to relax with my wife. All in all not a great stay, but not the worst we have encountered. Think the hotel needs a revamp and maybe putting in a comfortable bed with a comfortable mattress without any cracks down the bed and a proper king size duvet to have a good night's sleep.

Rooms desperately need an uplift, soiled and faulty furniture, dusty ceiling, stained communal carpets that are not regularly hoovered, abrupt reception staff when approached with issues. Suggested I leave at 9 pm shortly after I'd reported the issues even though I'm heavily pregnant, and book elsewhere for a full refund. I was treated with contempt. Overall a terible stay. I hadn't been to the PH Reading since 2019, it's become a cheap hostel. Disappointed as I expected more from Pentahotel. Hotels.com promptly refunded my second night.

Nice hotel and friendly staff but asked for quiet room and heard the noise from nearby nightclub for most of the night; TV wouldn’t work as someone had apparently stolen the chrome cast stick and it kept turning off; bedside lights didn’t work; there were no USB sockets anywhere so we couldn’t charge our phones.

Room was a bit dated with no double glazing so being right next to a major duel carrigeway was very noisy. Biggest issue the curtains didnt cover the windows which i didnt find out till 530am the next morning which was shocking. Went to check out and asked for the invoice which the night manager lied and said he couldnt give it to me, after relaising he had made a mistke tried to back track cliaming notes had been left about me and that its a Hotels.com issue. All of the shift people were sat around and had to corral to even get them to engage, appeciate its a rubbish shift but they were so rude. Needless to say I wont be staying here again or the pentahotel group if this is the quality,
