A bay head retreat!
Tess and her husband have done an incredible job with the place! The coffee was delicious, continental breakfast was perfect for a little something to hold us over. We celebrated our mini moon here and had a wonderful time! They’ve thought of everything , providing beach tags, chairs and umbrellas. Even having meats and cheeses available for purchase. We had an amazing time and would absolutely stay again!!

The inn was light bright and airy, however before warned about the third floor steps. They can be taxing. The best rooms are on the second floor with access to the wraparound porch. The included breakfast was lovely every morning. Surprised the Inn was on route 35. So had to cross to get to beach.

I stayed at the Bentley in on Friday night. Upon my stay I notice a bug in the room and the door leading to the balcony wouldn’t closed. I later brought this to the receptionist because I was by myself and I felt uncomfortable. She then switch the room to another room but I paid for a king size room and I was giving a queen/full size bed. I was a little taken back by the service and when I brought it to the receptionist attention she showed no sympathy. She said those bugs come out in the fall there and I should be fine and another thing that was alarming is the fact she wanted be to stay in a room where the door cannot close.

Beautifully well kept and exquisitely decorated, this recently renovated B&B is a gem! The ambience is elegant and comfortable and the staff is gracious , polite and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant; there's something for everyone! The one block walk to the beach is heavenly. There's a large fridge that guests can use and chilled lemon water is available to the guests 24/7

When I arrived at the facility The door was locked it took us about 15 minutes to get someone to answer . Our sink was leaking in our bathroom, Bright lights in the hallway that leaked through the bedroom door which made it hard to sleep because the bedroom was very bright. Woke up on Sunday morning there was no breakfast only coffee

You walk through the front door and instantly feel welcome! A two minute walk to the beach, a delicious breakfast spread, and the staff bending over backwards to meet your every need made this spot a keeper! We will be back soon and highly recommend The Bentley Inn B&B.

Absolutely incredible place! If you wondering where to stay, definitely Bentley Inn! It’s few steps from the beach, that’s absolutely gorgeous and they’ll provide you with the beach badge! Also nearby there is a great market where you can get lunch and across there is a nice restaurant. Breakfast in the Inn is continental but you have everything you need and it’s local! Owners are super pleasant and hospitable! They’re always there to help!

Shared Bath with Randoms not Mentioned at Booking
If you are assigned room 19 be aware that there is a SHARED bath with strangers. We were extremely uncomfortable with this arrangement and would not have booked had we been made aware. The rest of our stay was pleasant and the hotel is general was very nice.

Great B&B one block from beautiful beach!
This was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. We couldn’t have been more pleased! Because of restrictions, it was a no contact Check-in that went seamlessly. We arrived early and Glenn, the owner let us park there while we walked to the beach for the morning. Although there was no breakfast, again, because of restrictions, they thoughtfully provided beverages and individual snacks. I thought the shared bathroom would be off putting, but honestly, we seemed to be the only ones using it. We had a great porch right outside our room, with a table and chairs to sit at in the evening. You are literally one block from the beach access, and the beach was not crowded at all. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone! We will definitely be back!

This was the absolute worst hotel I've ever tried to stay in! In fact it was so bad, we couldn't stay. After walking into the bedroom and breathing in a mouthful of mold, we turned around and walked out.
When we asked for a refund, we were refused. After many days of persistently arguing, we only received half of our money back. Terrible hotel and terrible service!

Nice open seating area, but not very young child oriented in livingroom area. Would be helpful to have a little corner or area without breakable objects for kids and families.

My husband and I decided to see what was available in Bay Head Beach New Jersey on our way home from visiting family in Maryland. The Bentley Inn came up. We arrived a solid two hours early and the owner Glen was there to greet us.Glenn could not have been more friendly. He kindly allowed us to check in early so that we could get out to the beach. Glenn and his staff of sweet and enthusiastic girls showed us the various room options both with and without a private bath. The rooms all have a window unit for air conditioning. Glenn has thought of everything to make your stay smooth- beach badges, chairs, towels. Etc. there are two very spacious and well equipped outdoor showers which we found refreshing and used instead of indoor. Breakfast is served each morning including a daily special omelette along with plenty of other choices from 8:30-10. The French toast is to die for! The beach is a very short walk from the Inn. It’s beautifully kept, clean and is not crowded. Beware- they do not allow any coolers or food at all. Just water in a bottle. This our only disappointment as we like to have a dinner picnic on the beach in the evening. So, instead, we went to Joe Leone’s (2 miles away) and picked up a delicious assortment of foods along with a bottle of wine and we sat upstairs on the Inn’s porch. There we enjoyed a cool breeze and watched the rest of the beach sit in traffic to get to their reservations. This was a lovely experience for us. Thank you Glenn and staff!

Wonderful old B & B in a great location for a short walk to the beach and two minutes from shopping and restaurants. Owner couldn't have been any more accommodating than what he was. Great home cooked breakfast and wonderful staff that made sure we had everything we needed. Only negative was the shared bathrooms that some rooms had to use. We requested a private bath but when we arrived that wasn't the case. The error wasn't made by the Bentley Inn as we found out, because my wife thought she was talking to the manager of the Inn when we did the reservation but it was a representative from Hotels.com. Just make sure of what you're getting when you make the reservations. I would definitely return there if making another trip to the area.

Classic turn- of -the -century beach hotel with ocean views and wrap-around porches and balconies. Wonderful hearty breakfasts. Pleasant and helpful host. Free parking. Just far enough south of the very busy Point Pleasant to be relaxing with uncrowded beaches. Just delightful.

The staff was fantastic. Room was clean. The decor is tea pot kitch done tastefully. Not sure how they pulled that off but they do. Breakfast was outstanding. My only tiny complaint was the mattress was very firm, which is pretty common down the shore. To be fair, I like a really soft mattress.

We were the only occupants for our one night stay but I?m sure this is a popular destination during the height of summer. If you?re looking for a romantic getaway, this isn?t it. I've stayed here 5 times for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Glenn, the inn keeper is always happy to see us. The inn is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place to recharge our batteries. Rooms are disappointing. The TVs are small and out-dated, the bed shakes and is very firm, carpet is ugly, the room doors are loud and you can hear other people coming and going. The shower was so pathetic and disgusting that it embarrassed me to bring my fiance there. shower is very small, looks like something for bathing farm animals and the curtain was yellowed with soap scum. The breakfast was surprisingly good for being included. There are signs everywhere telling you what to do and asking for tips for the housekeeping and servers. The buildings door lock is a pain to use. It is pretty cheap for being close to the beach though

Stayed here for 2 nights- overall, had an excellent experience. In a quiet very upscale neighborhood. Close to nice beach with lifeguards- beach pass provided. Good breakfast (had some hot items not usually found at a B&B). We had a private bath, some rooms do not. Rooms small, but comfortable. All rooms on second or third floor- no elevator!) . Innkeeper was very hospitalble and informative about places to eat and visit. Plenty of off-street parking. Only two minor suggestions- no night light in bathroom so bring your own and if you want fruit for breakfast, shop for a few bananas!

Everything was nice. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the bed was too hard and there was no fresh fruit available at breakfast. In addition, I spoke to Glenn about handicapped issues prior to making any reservations. Everything about the B&B was fine, however, he failed to mention that in order to get on to the beach at the location closest to the B&B my disabled, but mobile wife would have had to climb and descend about 15 steps to get on the beach. We had to get in the car & drive 4 blocks over where there was a ramp.

We came upon the Bentley after a bad experience elsewhere.....and we are so glad we did. It's such a quaint, comfortable, welcoming B&B. The beach is a block away. Glenn supplies chairs and towels if needed. The outdoor showers were fun. Parking is available. We loved the living room areas....and the dining room....it was so comfy we forgot we weren't home. Thanks for a wonderful stay and for saving our weekend.

My husband and I spent an overnight at the Bentley Inn. The proximity to the beach was wonderful and the beach passes allowed us to go on the beach. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn!

My husband and I decided to stay down at the shore last minute for this past New Year's Eve and stumbled across The Bentley Inn online. Us New Jerseyans know the shore is perfect any time of year, but Glenn made a special New Year's even more special. I'm only remiss in not posting this review sooner. My reason for staying at The Bentley Inn was to be nearby for my dad's wake and funeral and Glenn couldn't have been any more kind and accommodating! From the wonderful breakfasts every morning (the french toast is to die for) to allowing my visiting, college age niece and her boyfriend to use the Wifi to finish their assignments, Glenn made this otherwise difficult time as relaxing and enjoyable as it could be. The location is suburb, the beds are comfortable and the ocean view from our room helped soothe the soul. Thank you Glenn, for being who you are, and for giving people like my husband and I a quiet respite during a stressful and hectic time.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have stayed at the Bentley. This is an old beach house converted with about a dozen rooms. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a bathroom and shower in ours and while it was small it was clean and the water was hot, pressure good. The location is second to none, you walk across the street to the beach. They have beach chairs, towels etc for your enjoyment. The breakfast is always excellent. We drive out of our way to stay here. A little pricey but the location is worth every penny. Try it you won't be disappointed. The Owner is a very nice person, very personable and knows the area well. Some great restaurants within walking or biking distance.

Couldn't have had a better 24 hours!
If you want quiet, private and clean this is the place to be! One little draw back is you may have to share a bathroom. But can I tell you that I don't think anyone used the one that was next to our room. Girlfriend was a little bummed about it but I didn't care. It really is like the ads state, 3 houses from the beach. Very easy walk. Oh now let me tell you about the beach, WONDERFUL! The best part is that it's private, I mean you need to have a beach badge to get on the beach and then displayed at all times. One inconvenience about the beach, couldn't bring a cooler with lunch packed onto the beach. Had to leave it at the stairs. But I also think that is why the beach was so clean. NO garbage anywhere. Was able to walk to dinner at Theresa's South- Very good food but BYO. Not an issue because next block was a packaged goods store. After dinner decided to buy a bottle of wine and sit on the covered porch and relax after dinner. Then went for a walk on the beach by moonlight. Next morning breakfast was great and checkout was very easy. Leave the keys and say goodbye. Couldn't have asked for a better 24 hours!

The Bentley is a great B & B starting with Glenn the Innkeeper. He is courteous, considerate and runs a relaxing and well maintained Inn. The rooms are good sized (peeked into many of them during cleaning), the porches comfortable, rooms nicely furnished and everything was immaculately clean. It is hard to maintain a place at the shore that does not have the smell of mold anywhere and I did not notice any.
Several things were particularly nice. The hot breakfast in the morning (included) was very good, cooked to order by Glenn with a nice menu to choose from. The omelets were great, the caramel french toast and waffles too. Coffee, tea, homemade pastries, ice and a refrigerator are always available and very much appreciated.
The two large sized outdoor showers were great and well supplied with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. How thoughtful. Glenn also allows guests to use these showers after check out so you can spend more time at the beach and supplies beach badges.

Just what we needed!
Glenn, the Innkeeper is very friendly and very accommodating. He made me a special breakfast every morning, as I have food allergies. The sitting room is lovely, the breakfast delicious, and the rooms are clean and inviting. This is the the third time we have stayed here, and will return again. Bayhead is a beautiful little beach town that has delicious restaurants and a happy friendly atmosphere.

Bay Head is a quaint, quiet part of the shore that is great for families. The Inn is two blocks from the beach and walking distance to some shopping and restaurants. Room/hotel were in good condition but not luxury accommodation. You are paying for the location and the beach access. Service had its limitations as the innkeeper keeps business hours only (call ahead if you are going to arrive late) but they were friendly and helpful when around. Also, even though you have to check out by 11, they let you use their parking lot, sitting area, bathroom, outdoor showers, and beach passes all day so you can still enjoy your last day. My only warning would be that rooms are smaller than standard hotel and "Ocean Views" are very limited.
