convenience surrounds it

Great service, great location to mall/movies/grocery store…all walkable and water park is next door. Small room. Bed isn’t very comfortable but it was for 2 nights. A lot of parking is available and easy to navigate to Old Town by car. We enjoyed staying away from the busy center of Krakowz. Its also dog friendly which was very important to us. We would stay here again. It was very convenient.

Unfortunately, there was an additional fee for the pool and use of the beach. PLN 48 per person for 2.5 hours of the aquapark and PLN 15 for the beach for the whole day. Od I had known about the extra charges, I would have chosen a different hotel. No extra bed for a child. No towel or pillow for a child. Breakfast very good.

The Pool in the pics is not in the hotel

It was unusual that picture in your site are misleading.

The pool is not in the hotel itself BUT included among the hotel PICS.

This is unfair. You have to walk there and pay separately. The hotel is 20 minutes drive by bus from City Center and the pool was the reason I booked it.

Good hotel

The hotel is excellent and prices are good. I had one problem, as I tried to leave early. The receptionist said she can't do it, so I called Hotels.com When they called the hotel, they agreed to let me leave early but with one day penalty. Except for that everything was good.

The bar didn’t open till 7pm and on the 2nd night it was closed for a private function also there was a wedding on so the dance music went on for 4 hours, the hotel it self is nice and staff are good

Everything was pretty much perfect. Pleasant staff, helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Atmosphere was lovely.

We arrived late and the restaurant was shutting but the staff still managed to produce some food for us on an ad-hoc basis.

You get what you pay for. The staff is minimally helpful, at best. The rooms and amenities are dated. Towels are usually stained. The bed is terrible and the room is always too cold for comfort. The breakfast is mediocre at best.

Clean hotel with comfortable rooms.

The hotel is possibly a little too far from the city centre but if you have a car it is easy to get around. The rooms were big and clean and the breakfast had great variety with fresh goods (coffee could have been better). Overall a nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff.

Great value and well connected

I stayed in the Swing hotel for 6 nights and I was a little worried when I first arrived as it seemed quite a distance from the city. There is a bus stop very close by and it is only 7 stops into Kraków for 3.80z. A taxi, depending upon the time of day costs between 25-30z... However, if you are willing to go into the centre at 10am or 5pm and come back at 5pm or 10.30pm there is a shuttle service for 8z each way...... and this, for me, turned out to be a taxi. The other great thing about this restaurant is the breakfast which is varied and plentiful. There is something for everyone and, although there were tour groups, it didn't feel crowded. The rooms had everything I needed, including a safe, hairdryer and they provided a kettle and cups with tea/coffee etc when I asked. My only negative comment would be that I was in a small corridor on the first floor next to a door that slammed every time someone went through it but this is just a minor irritation in view of the short time spent in the room and preferable to the more noisy central hotels. i would definitely stay again if I return to Kraków.

Spotless rooms and great service.

We enjoyed our four night stay at the hotel. Bus service into the town centre was good. We booked excursions at the hotel desk and they were well priced and efficient. The Chinese restaurant in front of the hotel has good food at excellent prices. Helpful and friendly staff.

Although out of the city centre Hotel Swing had a good local bus service into city centre which ran frequently and 7 day unlimited travel was 48 zlts. Would recommend this hotel highly.

The hotel is a wee bit out of the centre but there are good bus links right outside the hotel and it only cost 3zloty to get into town. It is right next to Park Wandy (which is more about sides, and flumes as opposed to pools) and has ample car park facilities which are at a premium at the hotels in the centre. There is a cheap chinese right accross from it but if you decide to eat in try the stoganov just for the theatre, as they make it right in front of you! The staff are friendly and helpfull and there is plenty to choose from at breakfast.

Hotel Swing - friendly and good value

The Swing is a clean modern hotel - I stay there because it's walking distance to my office. There's a good shopping mall close by and the aquaparc is next door. If you are visiting Krakow with the family you can get rates that include parc access. It's a 10 minute taxi ride into the city which costs between £4 and £5. The restaurant produces a decent dinner and is good value and there's a bar up on the 4th floor which is quite comfortable. If you're looking for a good value hotel in Krakow and the location works for you then this is a good bet.

this is a very good modern hotel. very clean and well maintained. i didnt find time to use the saunas etc, so cant comment on them. there is a good bus service, with the bus stop opposite the hotel. bus number 152 takes you to the old town, which is the main tourist area. its a 15minute journey. you may find it easier to get a taxi for late journeys, be sure to get a price for the trip. 2/8/2011

A bit out of the way but worth the price

I was looking for something affordable for my first trip to Krakow and Hotel Swing definitely fit the bill. The hotel is located about 6 km from the center of town, which is not walking distance. But, thanks to the hotel staff, I had no trouble figuring out which bus routes (there are several) to take and found it very easy to get to the city center within 20-25 minutes.

My room was furnished in a modern style and was very clean. The bathroom was excellent (no bath but only a shower), the bed was good, and there was free internet in your room as well as free wifi in the lobby. It was the perfect spot for me as I didn't spend much time in the room anyhow but came back every night to regroup and figure out the next day's plans.

The morning breakfast is very hearty with lots of options (heavy on the milk and pork products but to be expected in this part of the world) and starts quite early.

The only drawback is that public transportation back to the hotel in the evenings (especially on weekends) is non-existent. However, a cab from the rail/bus station is only 25-30 zl, which you won't wince at given how much you'll save by staying here.

Krakow's Swing Hotel - Would Recommend

The hotel was lovely. The rooms are spacious and modern. The hotel was only opened in Nov 09, so everything is still fairly new. The staff were very friendly. The bar on the top floor of the hotel is really nice, very contemporary inside, roof top terrace for a drink on a nice day, never very busy so always a nice place to have a quiet drink. Is about 15 mins by bus from Krakow centre, but on a bus route with regular servcies so no problem.

Modern Hotel Convenience A Short Cab Ride From Dow

We’ve stayed in downtown Krakow before, but a nice hotel with air conditioning and car park can get pricey. This time, we opted to look outside of the main core and were very happy with our find. This hotel was built in late 2009, so it offers all of the modern conveniences and was only a 10-15 minute cab ride from the downtown core.

Das Zimmer war okay.Die Heizung bzw.Klima viel zu warm,ließ sich nicht richtig einstellen.Möbel etwas in die Jahre gekommen,aber sauber.Teppich ziemlich fleckig.Was aber gar nicht gut war,das Bett.Man lag fast auf dem Boden,nichts Gutes für den Rücken. Personal war sehr freundlich.Frühstück war auch sehr gut.

Das Hotel präsentiert sich als Wellness-Hotel und wirbt mit einer Sauna sowie einem Bild eines nahegelegenen Schwimmbads, das jedoch nicht einmal zum Hotel gehört. Dabei werden wesentliche Details verschwiegen: Auf der Hotels.com-Webseite wird nicht erwähnt, dass die Nutzung der Sauna nach einer Stunde mit zusätzlichen Kosten verbunden ist. Dieses Vorgehen ist irreführend und grenzt an Betrug seitens des Hotels, da weder die zusätzlichen Kosten für die Sauna noch die eingeschränkte Verfügbarkeit transparent offengelegt werden.

Das Frühstück war soweit in Ordnung, allerdings hatte ich den Eindruck, dass uns die Reste einer Abendveranstaltung vom Vortag serviert wurden. Das Hotel, die Zimmer sowie der Wellnessbereich sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, was auf den Bildern nicht ersichtlich ist.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal.

Ok hotel, havde regnet med at badelandet var på hotellet og inkl i prisen. Det er det då ikke, og det skal betales seperat, lidt i den den dyre ende, men Ok.
Kaffen til morgenmaden fuldstændig udrikkelig.
Restaurant på hotellet har rigtig god mad.

Ett mycket bra hotell med en minuts gångavstånd till ett Vattenland, paradiset för barnfamiljerna. Personalen var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. Frukosten helt magisk, den var värd varendaste Zloty. Jag var där med min son på tolv år och han var helt lyrisk. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell i Krakow, billigt med Bolt taxi in till gamla stan eller slottet. Värt varenda krona. Vi är supernöjda.

Høj musik om aftenen. Uacceptabelt!

Jeg kan desværre ikke anbefale hotel Swing - pga høj musik/fester på hotellet om aftenen. Vi overnattede 4 nætter - og to af aftenerne var der fester på hotellet(!) med høj musik, så vi ikke kunne sove. Det er simpelthen for dårligt! Vi klagede i receptionen, men de kunne/ville ikke skrue ned. (Derudover var hotellet ok - pænt, rent og hjælpsomt personale - men igen: det er fuldstændig uacceptabelt at spille høj techno musik, så gæsterne ikke kan sove :( )

Det er bilde av et badeland som ligger rett ved siden av, det er ikke spesielt mye billigere for oss som bor på hotellet. Rommet vårt hadde en ac som ikke funket og vi fikk beskjed om å bare lukke opp vindu. Vi hadde rom rett over inngangen og der sto folk å røyka, så da luktet det røyk i rommet vårt hele tiden. Renholder kom kl 9 om morgenen og når vi sa at det var litt tidlig så kom ho ikke tilbake igjen den dagen. Ikke spis middag på hotellet og drinker kan de ikke lage. De bør ikke kalle seg et spa hotell, en veldig liten bastu som det var vente tid på å komme inn på. På de 4 dagene vi var der så haddd de bare ledig til massasje 1 time. De er nemlig bare åpent fra 17.00 til 22.00, det samme gjelder badstua.
Det luktet kloakk fra vasken.

Hotellet holdt ikke den standarden det lovet. Rene rom, ellers ikke spesielt fornøyd. Badestrender de viser til er noen meter med sand. Dette var et hotell for småbarnsfamilier. Avstanden til Krakow er litt for lang og området rundt var industrielt og ikke spesielt nice. Frokosten var ikke bra, men det aller verste var de forferdelige sengene. Utrolig elendig
