Would not recommend and it’s an abomination to the land of Formosa lol. The first room we were shown smelled of mold so we were moved. The second room had a fait smell and it was late so we decided to stay. The bathroom is neglected and I wouldn’t trust taking a bath in it… Also, the sleeping room was also carpeted, my dude. We crossing the quarter of the century that is 2000 and we still doing carped floors?? For a hotel room? Bruh.

The hotel staff were truly wonderful—very kind, professional, and accommodating. My main concern, however, was the mattress in my room. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on plywood. Housekeeping kindly tried to make it more comfortable, but unfortunately it remained very hard and stiff and resulted in sleepless nights throughout my stay.

I am not sure if this issue is limited to room 1626 or if it is more widespread, but I strongly feel the mattress needs to be replaced, as it greatly affected the quality of rest during my visit.

We arrived in Taiwan early at around 6:00 AM, so I booked a room a day in advance to rest right away, especially since we were traveling with a baby. Upon arrival, we asked if a family room (which we booked for our 3-night stay) was already available, but were initially told the hotel was fully booked. We stayed in the standard room first so our baby could rest, and shortly after, we were pleasantly surprised when the staff upgraded us to a family room to avoid the hassle of transferring rooms.

Overall, our stay was great. The location is excellent, with direct MRT access in the basement and plenty of nearby restaurants and shops.

Location is very good. However, the room was dire. Photos of the rooms on the website show modern rooms, but the reality is vastly different. Our room looked like it had not been renovated since 1986. The bed was old and hard, there was no extractor fan in the bathroom and there was only one bedside table. I feel deceived. I will never return to this hotel and do not recommend it!

Centrally located. Room was spacious for a family of four, although a bit dated in decor and furnishings. Large window views onto Taipei main Station across the street was spectacular especially at night with city lights in the background. Windows could use cleaning though. Good to have self-serve laundry facilities on site. Housekeeping and front desk/lobby staff helpful and nice. Had buffet breakfast last morning to try it out but was not impressed. Quality of food could be better. Lots of eateries outside far superior. Overall, we enjoyed our one week stay at Ceaser Park for many reasons, especially nice bedding and firm mattress.

Caesar Park Hotel Taipei: Perfect Location, but Room View was a Major Drawback

I recently stayed at the Caesar Park Hotel Taipei and came away with mixed feelings, largely dictated by the specific room I was assigned.

The absolute best feature of this hotel is its location. It is unbeatable. The hotel is seamlessly connected to the underground mall, the Main Train Station (Taipei Main Station), and the MRT system, making access to the city and transportation effortless. For anyone prioritizing convenience, this aspect alone earns five stars.

However, the room experience significantly detracted from the stay. My window faced directly opposite an adjacent office building. The proximity was such that I felt a complete lack of privacy and was compelled to keep the curtains closed at all times—day and night—to avoid staring directly into other people's workspaces and vice versa. This effectively removed any benefit of having a window, making the room feel enclosed and dark despite the time of day.

The staff were generally courteous, but the privacy issue with the room was a constant nuisance. If you choose to stay here, I highly recommend requesting a room facing an exterior street or with a more favorable view, as the phenomenal location deserves a better room experience.

The hotel is very old, the restroom doesn't feel clean. It might be clean, but the light and toilet doesn't feel clean. The staff tried to speed up but made the room card not functioning. It ended up I have to drag the luggages down to 1st floor again and go back up after a long day. Doing things quickly is a plus, not a must. Doing things right is a must, because it can save tons of effort for customers after a long day.

This hotel is rated as a 5-star hotel, but in my opinion it's more like a 3 star hotel. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because of how conveniently located it is, just directly in front of the Taipei Main Station. The MRT is also directly underneath, and a plethora of really delicious dining places just in the shopping mall underneath.

My first impression of the service was checking in. Unlike a 5 star hotel where you are graciously welcomed, the check in counter was busy and the lady seemed annoyed. Compared to the 3-Star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan, this probably had the most mediocre service.

This hotel also needs some remodeling. The place seems like it's owned by an old father who refuses to give his hotel to his son. The hall ways are decorated with old wallpapers and long mirrors everywhere. And the gloomy lighting made it feel a bit haunting. On top of that the rooms felt damp & furnished with cheap furnitures. These rooms can definitely use some dehumidifiers, it made the rooms smelly and a bit uncomfortable.

There is a gym and a laundry room. The gym has very old equipments so don't expect too much, and the laundry room has only 1 washer and 1 dryer. The hours that it operates is only between 9:00am - 10pm which doesn't make any sense since most people are out and about between these hours. On top of that, trying to share one machine with the entire hotel is almost impossible.

But would I stay here again? Yes! It's so convenient with MRT & Airport MRT.

I had a 48 hour layover in Taipei and I am glad I booked this hotel for my stay. It is in a great location accessible from Taipei Main Station. Very central with metro beside it and lots of places to eat and see. The hotel is clean, seemed modern or recently renovated maybe. Staff where accommodating and friendly. Especially the friendly staff at the moment buffet, the friendly man who signed me in every morning took time to come speak to me in English. Food was great also.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you have limited time in Taipei.

Clean and comfortable bed. Love that they had in room kimono for use. Location is amazing. Lifts go to B1 which links to the underground malls. Bathrooms clean and good water pressure.

However I had the misfortune to stay opposite a family who kept their room doors open and talked very loudly. While the doors are not soundproof and I could hear people outside loud and clear, I didn't hear any street noise so that's great.

Great location once again. Walkable to some tourist sites. Taipei main station as interchange of my mrt lines.
