Hotel Relax V was clean and very reasonably priced. The restrooms were spotless and, importantly, there was no foul sewage smell. They looked exactly like the photos advertised online. The running water was hot and the water pressure was excellent.

Despite the language barrier, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They offered helpful local suggestions and genuinely tried to meet everyone’s needs. Their English was good enough that we were able to communicate without any issues.

If I had to nitpick, it’s a smaller-style hotel. Personally, I didn’t mind at all—I actually liked the cozy, boutique vibe it gave off. They also had a nice purified water machine and an espresso machine available on the first floor, which was a great touch.

The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable. If I really had to be picky, the rooms can be on the smaller side. However, I noticed the square footage when booking, so I intentionally reserved a larger room. The room we stayed in was more than big enough for my wife and me. Some friends in our group mentioned their rooms felt a bit tiny, but the very clean and modern restrooms helped make up for the smaller space.

All in all, it was a great stay at an even better price. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a nice stay at Relax V hotel. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional. The hotel was very clean, and it was quiet. They also had complimentary coffee each morning. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Taipei Main Station which makes it easy when you are arriving from the airport, and gives you easy, quick access to the Taipei Metro.The neighborhood around the hotel is nice with a lot of shops and eateries. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and very space-efficient (it was not big but I was able to fit my suitcase and relax comfortably). The check-in and checking out were fast and easy. The location is a ten minute walk from the main station, so you are always really close to a good connection, including one from and to the airport. There are plenty of 7 Elevens in the area. I loved it and would definitely come back here a next time!

Stayed for 2 nights: no daily cleaning service, one-time set breakfast, and 2 beer/ beverage coupons.

Likes: Room is clean and spacious, basic amenities provided. There is also water and beverage dispenser at the common area. Laundry room is at B1, per wash/dry is NT50 each.

Dislike: Need to walk to Relax 2 for breakfast. Instead of beer, I requested juice, and the waiter conveniently direct me to the drinks bar, which provides orange juice and is inclusive as part of the breakfast.

Would appreciate it if he offer me bottle juices where other flavors are available.

Room was clean and towels were clean too! I got an upgrade to my room which was awesome. All the staff there (especially the girl who spoke multiple languages) were very nice and helpful. You can tell that they go extra miles to help your stay comfortable. Amenities (unlimited coffee and water machine) were great! I mean I got more than I paid for! Soundproof was good too! I didn’t hear a thing at night. Would definitely stay there again when I visit next year!

In my opinion, this is one of the most convenient places to stay in Taipei. Once you get the hang of the train stations and its exits, you'll find that this is easily one of the most accessible hotels in the area. The area has almost everything you need once you walk out of the door. A 7/11, Family Mart, cafes, food, etc. Also, I loved the view from my window. All of the staff were so friendly and nice. 10/10 would stay here again.

The hotel is near to Taipei Main Station, on the side near to the Airport Express. Hence it was convenient to take the train back to the airport.

The room was rather noisy, it faces the traffic, there was also something inside the room that was noisy. The staff suggested taking exit Z3 to reach the hotel, but it's a long flight of staircase. Unable to lift my luggage up, plus it started raining. Quite an unpleasant experience at the beginning.

I have opted to pay more and chose to stay in a double bed room. The room was good and it even has ToTo washable toilet. Yet there was no hanger inside the bathroom, so you needed to place your clothes on top of the toilet seat. Inside the bedroom it has insufficient clothes hanger, there was only a small one over the counter top, so it was a bit troublesome if you needed to hang long overcoat. I would recommend them to add some hangers behind the door or on some walls.

I stayed alone in a tiny room with a set of bunk beds. It was meant for 2 people, but there was no room on the floor to put more than one suitcase. The bathroom was tiny with a half sink. When you opened the door, it blocked access to the sink.
Traffic noise & water running down pipes could be heard. The blinds did not cover the entire window letting light shining straight into my eyes in the morning.
The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, there was a safe in the room, there was a coffee machine in the back of the lobby. Great location near Taipei Main Station.
However there’s a hotel just half a block away with twin rooms that are more spacious & quieter for half the price.

The hotel is very central, very close to the main railway station. This also means that there was a lot of traffic around the hotel. Unfortunately, it was quite loud in the room. My first time in Taipei… the front desk staff was amazing and really helpful! It’s 5-10 minute walk to the biggest train station. It’s also the part of town with lots of local shops, restaurants and massage parlors. Also Starbucks, McDonald’s and 7-11’s are nearby too!

I mainly booked the hotel for the location, which turned out to be even more valuable than I imagined (with easy access to all modes of transport, hundreds of options for all meals of the day and many must-visit attractions).
The staff are friendly and very accommodating. There are free tea/coffee/drinking machines which I use every day.
The rooms are small but cleverly designed and very good value for money. The bed is comfortable and conveniently doubles as a seat/couch. A long table/ledge runs beneath the window next to the bed, providing easy access to all my stuff, so there's no need to \"spill\" anything onto the floor/bed. There's also a convenient corner for the suitcase, keeping the walkway clear.
The bathroom is modern and not too small compared to the size of the room. The design gives me a lot of confidence that proper cleaning can be easily done between stays. The only drawback is the sink is unnecessarily small (plane lavatory size) and water spills out every time.

A family member had forgotten some cash in the safe and the hotel staff was honest enough to contact me and return it. Staff was also overall very nice with a seamless check in/out process. We were also given free alcoholic beverage tickets upon check in!

The rooms although a bit small (standard for Taiwan) was very clean.

The hotel was located in a very central location with numerous food, shopping and night markets close by.

They had a hot beverage machine equipped with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino on site.

Overall I was very pleased with my stay here and would stay here again when i visit Taiwan again.

Breakfast supposed to end at 10.30am but didn't being informed on the 2nd day they closed at 10am. And it was not a relaxing breakfast as you need to share table with others.

Very close to Airport MRT station and Taipei Metro station. Only about 7 min walk from Airport MRT station. Rooms are small by North American Standard. But if you are only interested in a place to shower and sleep, it's great. Many small shops and eateries(Chinese food) close by. McDonal's and Dante Coffee open early if you need a bite before heading out. Bank of Taiwan is 5 min walk if you need to get currency exchange. The basement of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department store also a currency exchange that opens until 9pm (or 9:30pm?).

The hotel stay was very comfortable and secure. The customer service was top notch. The hotel was basic on complete amenities like a pool however it makes up for it with a lot of little things like the free water and snacks, free wifi, the self service coffee bar, the network of hotel relax hotels with other amenities you can take advantage of. The hotel is really close to the Z10 entry/exit of taipei station and a 5 minute walk to the in-city checkin for airport baggage. the water pressure in the shower was SOOOO nice. i would feel cramped with more than 2 people in the room though. I would stay here again.

Cool place. Very European. Tight little room, reminded me of a cruise cabin. But it was very comfy and had all we needed. Nice shower. Good bed. TV worked well and had 300 stations. Hot chocolate and biscuits was a nice touch. Umbrellas. Luggage storage. Breakfast was the usual buffet of Chinese food, but I enjoyed enough fruit and toast and bacon to get me by.

搭公車和捷運都方便中
隔音和通風都不錯
早餐要走幾分鐘到二館那邊食
床比較短170cm趟下一點會頂腳
不方便的是淋浴間的那個放東西的盆太小了
放了洗髮精和沐浴精後基本上放不了其他東西
而且沒有地方掛毛巾
基本上都要用衣架跟衣服掛在一起
如果有掛鉤在洗手間內就方便多了
另外收拾房間的人會因為要摺被子就將床上的衣服直接往打開了的行李箱裡掉像是我衣服阻到他摺被子了多不好意思

I like the way the property is decorated. I had the Classic Twin Room for a night and the Standard Single Room for three nights.

It is good to know that the toilet and shower area in the Standard Single are separate, i.e. you get a bathroom (with toilet and a sink) and another shower room some distance away. These are, however, in the same space in the Classic Twin. It rained throughout my stay, so the room's heating function saved me. I did wake up every morning to find puddles of water near the windows, both behind the bed and in the bathroom - not sure if these are a result of condensation or rain water seeping in through the windowsills.

While there is a good variety of amenities offered in both rooms, the Classic Twin had a chair for the vanity whereas the Standard Single lacked one. There wasn't much space on the vanity for my items - but this could just be me with tons of skincare/makeup/accessories. Bottled water and an electric kettle are provided. Bathroom essentials are available as well.

I found it weird that the receptionist told me my room isn't entitled to complimentary breakfast, but the dining area is located in a separate building two blocks away. Nevertheless, a selection of bread and biscuits are offered at the minibar behind the lobby.

Laundry is available at NTD50 each for washing (35mins) and drying (45mins).

The property is just a block away from Taipei Main Station's exit Z10, with tons of dining options and convenience stores nearby.

I was told my room had been “complimentarily upgraded” but it was just another small standard room (no upgrade). The room smelled moldy, even with the toilet fan and the aircon on all night. I wish they hadn’t “upgraded” my room to such a smelly room.

Also the facilities are getting tired compared the last time I stayed.

We stayed at the Standard double room which is a bit small. A bit crowded if you have 2 luggages. Aside from that, our comfortable stay. There were coffee, tea & slippers provided. Housekeeping came everyday and the toilet was spot clean. Oh, the beds are just a bit soft. Bonus - you can have free coffee, chocolate or red bean milk near the lobby open 24 hours. We had a 22 hour layover in Taipei and wanted a downtown hotel close to the train station at a reasonable price. The hotel was perfect for this. Small space, wisely used, and comfortable. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, Peace Park, and Taipei National Museum. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

Reasonable but budget hotel

We stayed here for our last night in Taipei to catch an early morning flight the next day.

Pros:
- Location for Taoyuan MRT is great
- Close to Taipei Main
- Polite, English speaking staff
- Free tea/coffee/biscuits
- Plenty of plug points

Cons:
- Room is very small, too small to comfortably open a suitcase, impossible to open two.
- Very small sink in bathroom
- There was a table but it was basically unusable since you needed the space for the suitcase.

This is not one of the hotels where you can put toilet tissue in the toilet.

This was my second time at Hotel Relax V. The first time, I booked a single room (got upgraded upon check in to a slightly bigger room) and it was fantastic. I loved the aesthetics and attention to details such as providing a wide array of snacks and beverages. The room and hotel smelled great too,

However, this time we booked a 3 person room and the experience was completely different. The 11th floor was musty and although the room is very big, it looked like an after-thought which was not really in-line with the quality of the room I had last year (true enough, it turned out that they have just recently converted the top floor which was previously the staff quarters into the rooms). We also realised that there was a nasty smell, so we took the diffuser laying around outside the room, and poured in our own essential oil, which helped a lot. However, the hotel staff was nice enough to come up to give a room a spray when we feedback (not that it helped much). Was also disappointed that they cut down on snacks and beverages in the room.

The toilet design wasnt great for a 3-person room either, as the doors are not frosted enough so you can see what is going on inside.

The receptionist was also not the greatest when we checked out.

Comfortable stay

Located very close to exit Z10 of Taipei main station which was convenient (though a bit of a walk from that exit to the actual platforms). Being close to Taipei Main Station was important to us so this hotel was great.
The hotel was clean and we were given a large room which greatly improved our experience! It was a disabled enabled room and from what we can tell from photos of other rooms, was much larger than than standard rooms.
Our bed and bedding was very comfortable; overall we had a great stay.

Not that close to MRT. At least 10 mins walk.
Air condition is super loud so didn’t have restful night sleep.
Was expecting some free snacks and face masks since I saw that on the website but then nothing was there at all.
Room is very dark without enough lightings. Actually the whole hotel is dark. Interior is chic but no natural light makes it very shady.
