Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient, and the staff and service during our stay was excellent; friendly, helpful and professional.

The room was comfortable and clean, with a good bed, good shower, robot toilet, slippers and toiletries, although there was a musty smell in the room.

Complimentary snacks and drinks (including ice cream) in the communal area were a nice touch, and the hotel stored our luggage after check-out before our train.

Noise was the main downside, especially on the first night (Saturday), with a lot of sound from the hallway and nearby rooms. It was slightly quieter on Sunday. The AC unit in the room was also very noisy when switched on.

Overall, good value for money, but due to the noise issues we probably wouldn’t stay again.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel VIA Taipei Main Station. The location is unbeatable—right next to Taipei Main Station and just a short walk to the lively Ximending shopping district, making it incredibly easy to explore the city’s best food, shops, and entertainment.
The room was modern, spotless, and surprisingly quiet, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful amenities. Staff were warm, helpful, and truly made me feel welcome from check-in to checkout.
If you want convenience, comfort, and great value in the heart of Taipei, Hotel VIA Taipei Main Station is an excellent choice. I’d definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend. Walking distance to Taipei Main station direct to Taipei Taoyuan airport. Walking distance to Xi Men Ding. And the lounge area includes all the snacks, ice cream, coffee, tea, drinks, desserts and noodles you can eat any time. Not to mention the additional amenities if required. Did I mention how spacious our room was! Modern and clean. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

This hotel is just 1 block from metro NTU hospital stop on the red line. One stop from Taipei main. This makes it the perfect place to go anywhere is Taiwan. The snack area was great...especially our arrival night when we were too exhausted to go out again. We stayed in 2A had a huge room and large window. Quiet, good AC, very comfy bed and excellent shower pressure. Yes, there are minor issues addressed in other reviews but we would definitely recommend this hotel. Stayed 4 nights

First of all, the staffs are amazing! They’re super welcoming and friendly. The location is close to a few MRT stations and 10-15 minutes walk from ximending. If you walk toward the Taipei main station area, you’ll find more shopping area. There’s a nearby park, and few amazing breakfast spots that’s open pretty early. Most stores around the area don’t open until 11am, so just be aware of that. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is clean. They provide snacks, coffee and water bottles by the lobby. There’s always a washer and dryer so you can wash your clothes if you need to. There’s a family mart, 7-11 and Watson nearby, so very convenient if you need a pick me up as well.

VIA HOTEL TAIPEI STATION was within walking distance of Taipei Main Station which is along the airport Purple (A1) line, city lines Red (R10) and Blue (BL11). In another direction is another station Ximen (G12) along the Green line and also part of the tourist spot Ximending.

Around the property, Family Mart and 7-eleven convenience stores are aplenty. After a long day of walking, foot massage spots are also found along the streets nearby.

For the property itself, staff were attentive and friendly. We reached earlier than check-in time on a rainy and windy morning. We were so thankful we could be checked-in early since rooms were available. Rooms have option of windows or without - which to me was not of a concern.

Shower is spacious and clean with even rain shower option. We were greeted with a toilet that has warming seat functions and a bidet, score!

The facilities of the hotel include a few self-service areas including free to take travel items (cotton buds, hair ties, pads etc) as well as a dining pantry space.

At the free-seating pantry, the cold bottled water and water dispensers (with ice, warm and hot functions) were fuss free and so useful. The small bites available were biscuits, instant noodles and even an ice cream dispenser was a nice touch.

Would definitely stay here again as it was a recommendation by my brother and his friends who stayed here the year prior.

VIA Taipei Station Hotel is my choice of hotel each time I visit Taiwan. I have stayed in this hotel more than 6 times.

In my recent stay (11 to 18 Feb, 2025), something did not changed. All the staff including counter staff, room cleaners and general cleaners are all very friendly, helpful and is always ready to attend to queries and needs.

Counter staff Elsa, Yvonne, Tiffany including branch manager, Eddie are always ready to help with anything a guest may need.

Airport transfer by taxi is a breeze as the counter staff make all the necessary arrangement. The price is indeed cheaper going through VIA Hotel.

A special thanks go to Elsa who went the extra mile to help me.

It was a Sunday morning and I was feeling very unwell so I approach Elsa to locate a medical clinic. She did some search and inform me that most clinics are closed on Sunday and suggested that I go to hospital for treatment. However, I was reluctant to go to the hospital because I know the wait is long. Thereafter, I went out to buy food and when I return to the hotel shortly, Elsa said she found a clinic that opens from 1830 hrs to 2030 hrs and gave me the address.

When I came down in the evening wanting to go to the clinic, Elsa volunteered to help me flag a taxi and told me to wait in the lobby as it is cold outside. She even tell me to get the clinic staff to help me get a taxi after consultation as it may be difficult to hail a taxi.

Front staff are very friendly and helpful- beyond expectations!! Snack area with comfortable chairs to sit with various snacks and drink for guests to relax and enjoy - very generous! Via Hotel was very central: easy walking distance from Taipei Main Station and Xiemen district but far enough away to be very quiet and safe. The hotel staff were excellent and the friendliest we had encountered during our whole trip. I could tell they really cared about their guests. Unfortunately, the room condition was lacking. The room was very clean but it smelled very musty/moldy maybe from water leaking. The wallpaper looked like it was discoloured and peeling away from dampness. I also noticed a leak at the corner of the shower. I hate to give this review b/c the service was outstanding. Maybe it was just our room and not a reflection of others.

After I took the Taoyuan Airport Express Train to the last station named Taipei Main Station I exited Gate 5 and turned right (South). I kept walking with my luggage for about 500 meters and the Via Hotel was very next to the Family Mart store (at the corner). If you want to take MRT to other places the nearest one was NTU Hospital and it was very close to the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was polite and helpful (they gave me a copy of the MRT map). I chose a room with no window. There was no breakfast but the kitchen offered free water and snacks including yogurt and icecream. Taipei has an amazing metro (mrt) and connecting bus system and I did not speak Chinese but I could go almost anywhere without taking a taxi. I was so surprised that Taipei had big shopping centers and many mom and pop stores and eateries and I loved street foods!

Room - good essentials with warm white bulbs. Water pressure is good. Downside is that you hear the bathroom water pipes working from other rooms. Im a light sleeper and this posed a problem for me.

Single top load washing machine available shared by all guests. Be patient in queing as the area is also non-aircon.

Wanted a hotel close to Taipei Main Station since it’ll only be a couple of nights before we head home. Saw the great reviews and booked a quadruple room with 2 queen beds in this hotel for our family of 3. This is a simple budget hotel, but decent with about 10 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station.

Pros:
- Very convenient with many food and shops close by.
- Free laundry facility with washer and dryer
- Free snacks and drinks in the cafe
- Friendly front desk staff who can speak English
- Clean room with free toiletries

Cons:
- Condition of hotel and room is showing signs of aging (The photos look better than it actually is.)
- Internet in our room was spotty at times and we lost internet connection a couple of times.
- Lack of storage space. There is only a space with a few hangers to hang your clothest
- In our room (not sure if it’s the same in other rooms), there was a metal standing structure (for fire escape I believe) right in between the front of the window and the side of one of the beds. I can see this as a hazard because when the drapes are closed, you can forget that the structure is there and run into it, especially if you are sleeping on that side of the bed and trying to get up. I’ve also hit my hand against the structure a couple of times when I opened the drapes.

Overall, this would be a 3.5 budget hotel for me. Okay for staying a couple of nights, but I would choose another hotel if I were to stay longer.

Great stay in Taipei

We loved our 4-night stay at Via Taipei hotel. It's approx. 10-15 min walk (pretty straightforward) from the Taipei Airport MRT and Taipei Main Station and about 10 min walk to Ximen station & Ximending area. The hotel is sandwiched between buildings and looks small from the outside, but it's a pretty roomy building for its location. We got the 20sqm room with a window and it's comfortable for 2 people with 2 large suitcases. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious considering the room size. Our view was obstructed but not an issue for us, as we just wanted to let some sunlight into the room and we didn't spend much time indoor anyway. The soundproofing was pretty good, we couldn't hear any noises from the streets (and trust me, the main road was buzzin!) One of the best perks of this hotel is its 24-hour cafeteria stocked with Taiwanese snacks, cup noodles, yogurt, soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, and soft serve ice cream machine. We arrived very late on our first night and had a quick dinner at the cafeteria which was a lifesaver!. Our room was cleaned everyday and restocked with water, coffee, tea and other amenities. This hotel offers a great value to those who are visiting Taipei. I highly recommend this hotel & will stay again!

Cheuk Chi

Staff are nice and helpful, giving us many recommendations for food nearby and transportation. The room is clean. Free snacks, coffee and soft drinks are bonus. Overall experience is good, but it may not your first choice if you want a super convenient location or want to avoid the drama moving under heavy rain.

The location is about 800m between 3 MRT stations and Taipei railway station.
