Not good for kids only adults.

Usually don’t leave reviews but I need to for those with kids. Not a very kid friendly hotel. Even thought they mention all these restaurants they only actually only have 1 buffet opened the same every day and only opens at 12.30-2:30 so if you have kids that need to eat earlier, or snack in afternoon it’s frustrating. Long lines waiting for the buffet to open and long lines for hot fresh food during the small window. Everyone is on top of you grabbing food. Limited foods available.

There is a 24 hour snack bar at the beach but just burgers/ hot dogs/ pizza/ fries that sit there in the sun all day. Again if you have small children, nothing for them to eat there, no fruit no nothing until buffet opens.

They also have no kids pool like advertised. 2 are 4 foot+ and 1 small jacuzzi that is not on. (This is not a kids pool but advertised as a kids pool)

Hotel is poorly maintained and very run down. Rooms are good. Sewer smell often all over. Staff is not really friendly.

Don’t bother, go to a kids hotel if you have small children.

Beach is perfect and the only reason this resort is running. Entertainment is good too but very late shows for the kids who need to go to bed early.

We had an ocean view room which was beautiful and clean..sheets had some stains on them even though the sheets seemed washed.

Overall my husband and I had a great time...my husband especially because he is a big drinker but I couldn't drink because I was 4 months pregnant. The food is the same everyday and wasn't that great.....they did have these \"special\" restaurants where you can make a special reservation which my husband and I ended up using. The food wasn't that great there either ...it didn't seem fresh sort of frozen and reheated.

The night shows were fun and entertaining....the night club was awful they only played salsa and bachata almost no merengue.

The resort is not only for tourist but there are also many locals that do go there...so if your looking for peace and quiet it's not the resort for you, also they were doing construction by one of the pools so the noise was very annoying. The resort was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Coral Costa is not a luxury resort, but a very good \"mid range\" option for a short stay. The hotel in on the best stretch of beach in Juan Dolio, wide and long with palm trees providing shade. The low-rise buildings are much prettier and cosier than the modern towers of luxury hotels further along the shore.
Food at the buffet is excellent and top quality, with huge variety of both local and international foods (including plenty of choice for vegetarians) and frequent special themes at dinner - seafood, Dominican, asian etc. Service is good and the staff friendly, really looking after the guests.
What could have been better were their inclusive alcoholic drinks - local beers were very good, but wines were fake (fruit juice mixed with alcohol) and most coctails unrecognisable; \"upgraded\" drinks were available but only by the bottle (who would buy a bottle of rum to have a few coctails?).
Although there were some activities and entertainment during the day and evening, as well as the special dinners mentioned above but no programme available - one had to keep asking each day at the reception, restaurant and beach office to find out what was on for that day / evening.

Very nice room. Most of the staff was excellent. The food was plentiful and quite good for an all inclusive. Food was available all night at the snack bar, hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, pizza, French fries and excellent fried chicken.
The 24 hour sports bar was cozy and the bar tenders were great. The front desk staff especially Karoline did everything she could to ensure a good stay. The waitresses were friendly,attentive and accomodating. All in All a great stay.

Staff was very kind and accommodating, the resort was very safe with 24hr security at the front. The food was all very delicious and well prepared. The beach was well maintained and cleaned every morning and evening, along with that the room was made up every day between 12-2 which was perfect with beach/lunch schedule. The bartenders were very quick to serve everyone and ensure the drinks are not too strong since it was open access all day. The air conditioning worked very well in the room, we did have a slight issue with small amounts of water leaving out of the ac unit, but that was fixed by the very next day, the ac worked so well we found ourselves turning it off in the night some days. The show put on by the staff and the engaging experiences made by them throughout the beach days was amazing as well. Overall I would recommend this resort to others and even stay again!

My husband and I travel a lot. We decided to spent Christmas and New Year Eve there. Total of 10 days. As a matter of face we just came back home from DR this morning. 95% of the people who work there can’t speak or understand English, Including front desk. But most of them are very sweet. The food DEFINITELY should get upgraded. Not that many options specially for breakfast. If I had to grade the food for breakfast would be 2/10 for lunch 4/10 and for dinner maybe 5/10. The beach is huge and absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the beach so much. I’m sorry to say this, but we won’t be back there again 😢

Beach and room was fine but the food oh god the food was absolutely terrible, it got to the point where I had to get creative and make my own food using ingredients they had lying around the buffet.

Even the a la carte restaurants were low quality even though it was packaged as higher class eating.

If you’re there for the beach and the unlimited alcohol sure go for it but honestly the food was a deal breaker for me

I was a guest with my spouse December 22 through December 26th, 2025.

I arrived 4 hours early and waited for 3pm check in time. The lobby was filled of people. No seats available to sit. Once 3pm, i got in line to check in. I reached the frontdesk and the youmg lady was so flustered that she gave me the room keys and only told me \"your room is in front of the buffet restaurant\". I was not told what direction to go. I did not know where the buffet restaurant was located. I asked someone walking by for directions.I dropped off my bags and enjoyed the premises. I went to my room at 11:20pm to realize the room was above the discoteco. The discoteco was playing loud music. They are open to 2am. I went to the front desk and requested to be moved. Mr.Salbino or Mr. Salbio told me i booked a standard double bed room and there are no rooms available. There was a young lady next to him that started to call out room numbers available. They had only 2 king size bed rooms available. The only rooms available that were standard. At this point, i told him that forget the standard room price and to let me know what was available. He told me there are NO rooms available.

I told him the young lady called out rooms number available. He insisted that i paid standard. At this point, its about customer service. I told my husband we will sleep in the lobby and A MIRACLE HAPPEN, a double bed room became available. It was now 12:03am. A roach in the bathroom and 2 ants on the desk. Dirty towels.

In general, the resort is not bad, corresponds to its price. The room was clean and was as requested. King bed and ocean view. The beach was nice. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The food wasn't bad but was usually cold or luke warm at best. The music and comentator on the beach was way too loud at times. When you're relaxing on the beach that's the last thing you need or want, at least for us. We reported the automatic door lock next door be looked at because it would beep loudly all night long but it was still beeping when we left. If you are looking for warm weather and a beach with lots if action, this is the place for you.

I recently stayed in room P504 from 11/13/25 to 11/16/25 and encountered several issues. The room had noticeable patchwork and signs of mold. On my first night, I discovered water pooling on the floor from a leak under the AC unit. I had to place a garbage can under it to catch the drips, which resulted in a constant, irritating noise. Additionally, the leak spread into the closet through the ceiling , soaking my clothes.

The following morning, I reported these issues to the front desk but nothing was done to compensate me. They offered to wash my clothes, but this never happened. I requested to speak with a manager, and the front desk attendant, who I believe was named Anne, assured me that someone would follow up, but no one did.

I was on vacation with my son, who turned 15, and at the very least, some form of compensation and an apology from the management would have been appropriate. Unfortunately, nothing was done, which was very disappointing.

I have a lot of comments about this hotel. I hope the management will use my experience to learn from this and improve.

First of all , I really appreciate all the hard work the employees did throughout the stay. Cleaning services. Dining. Front desk. Everyone was very nice and kind and I thank all of them. I appreciate them trying their best to help and answer questions or address issues.

The beach was also beautiful and well maintained. This was the best part.

Here are some things I felt could be improved:
1. Rooms towels. I asked for more and each day I stayed, it was not replaced. They only put the original number. Some sheets and pillow cases were still dirty in bed.
2. Fridge was not cold. I alerted front desk on day 1. Someone came to look the first day and they said it’s an eco fridge that’s why not cold. I was offered to switch rooms but i said too much hassle. Eventually they did switch to a working fridge after 2 days.
3. Activities on beach. I wish they put a new /correct board with updated schedule. That would be helpful to plan my day around activities that I want to try.
4. Towel hut was always running out of clean towels and had to wait very long sometimes for new ones.
5. Pools were very dirty/sandy. Very heavy chlorine. I couldn’t go in because of this.
6. Spa- has no official menu and services as seen in online menu not offered. And prices were not adjusted accordingly when I was unable to book a service for my birthday because of this. I also

Got to say the resort is very beautiful, the beach is so clean . The room is well equipped and has water stocked daily. The food is very good, the buffet is very organized . The resort has daily programmed activities near the pool and beach . The night show is great . The drinks are good especially the Mama Juana shot. The Only thing i would recommend to the resort is at the disco , they should put music that is for everyone, the disco only stays with national music especially bachata and merengue . Location is great! Loved being by the beach and all the palm trees! Very relaxing and shaded. My favorite part of this resort was all the trees and how close to the beach it was!
Some of the buffet and restaurant staff were very rude , seemed like they didn’t want to be there doing their job.
The rooms were cleaned properly by house keeping daily. The food was ok… you get what you pay for. Overall is was good for the two days of our stay.

A very good stay. My family and I enjoyed it very much. Food was good. Pools, Hot-tub, were awesome. Drinks flowed through the whole property. The Bar and Club was rocking every night. Very fun stay. Only negative. Kids pool and play area, was either closed for cleaning or staff lunch breaks. It was difficult timing it. But the little time we spent in it, was fun and safe.
Overall a good stay. Would recommend it!
