Booked this hotel for one night, walking distance to the train station. We arrived @ 11:00am and to our surprise the room was ready, so that was a plus! Our stay was very nice. We are a family of 5 and reserved 3 rooms. Every room was very clean. Staff was nice. The only drawback was the small lobby with no seating area. Did not get the breakfast option so cannot rate on that. The neighborhood outside is extremely dirty. Walking around became difficult because of all the poop on the ground. Inside the hotel is very nice.

This hotel is a short walk from Atocha train station. Which is convenient for train travel. It was a very short walk from Reina Sophia, which is lovely and Reto Park. The center of town is a little far and required either taxis or public transportation. There’s a metro stop near the Reina Sophia that we used to get around. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice. I would recommend it.

The room was good and the staff very helpful. charging a flat 25 euros for breakfast is unacceptable when all we want is coffee and a roll or an egg. It is rather close to the Prado but the neighborhood had few restaurants or cafes and people sleeping on the sidewalk. An area of heavy traffic and little charm. Very close to the Reina Sofia and Atocha Station. Again the staff are very helpful and the room clean and well equipped.

The hotel was exactly what we required for a weekend in Madrid. An excellent location to sight see and from the money we walked in the staff were all very friendly. Rocio on reception checked us in quickly when we arrived and dealt with any questions efficiently. She is an asset to the hotel.

The room was very clean. It was spacious as well. They also gave 1 complimentary water in the fridge which was kinda weird since they knew there were 2 people staying. It was like 5 min walk to the train station and perhaps a 15 min walk to atocha station. I as kinda slow so probably took longer for me. There were a couple of groceries and restaurants near the hotel as well. Overall it was okay.

A Great Hotel for Your Madrid Stay

We chose this hotel because it was close to Atocha Station and we had planned a few train trips in and out. The hotel is modern, stylish, and very comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and even though we could speak Spanish, their English was perfect. Highly recommended!

Nice rooms, staff, amenities, and convenient

I stayed in a newly renovated 7th floor room with a private terrace with views of Madrid and an outdoor shower, table with chairs and umbrella/sun shade. The room was great. It had an ironing board with iron, mini-fridge, spa tub, tea kettle, views from the bathroom and bedroom, external shutters for light blocking and as an extra barrier against street noise—however, noise was never a problem. I slept super-well. The 7th floor is the top floor so you also needn’t worry about noise from above. This was my third or four stay at this hotel. In the past, I always asked for an interior room facing away from the street, as I am a light sleeper and noise sensitive, but this room was way better.

I love the location of this hotel. It’s convenient and in the heart of things but on a not-too-busy street. It’s an easy 7-minute walk from Atocha train station, a few minutes walk to the metro, a few minutes walk to the Reina Sofia Art Museum, which always my first stop in Madrid (so I can visit Picasso’s painting, “Guernica”). It’s close to restaurants, ATMs, cafes, the Prado and Retiro Park. A well-stocked Corte Ingles Super Cor mini-mart is just steps down the block, if you desire snacks, a fine wine, or ready made salad.

The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. If English is your only language, don’t worry, they’re perfectly fluent.

I would recommend this hotel.

Okay, the hotel follow the rule of not giving Marriot elite member elite perks because I booked through Expedia. I even talked to their front desk manager with no success. Two days ago, in Amsterdam, same booking through Expedia, they gave all Elite perks. For Marriot elite members, skip this hotel if possible if you want to book through Expedia.

A nice comfortable stay - breakfast is very good with a wide selection - especially good due to close walking distance to 2 major Madrid art galleries. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to add value and the room itself was very nice. The only very slight negative is that lighting in the room could be improved. There’s no main room light, only lights on each side of the bed.

Slightly disappointed- attention to detail needed

We were a little disappointed with the hotel. It is a 4 star hotel and to have rooms where you can hear next door taking a shower or watching tv is not good. The rooms are not soundproof and the neighbouring room was really loud but we couldn’t say anything.

Also we only received one welcome bottle of water when there are two people using the room. That was not ideal. They had no soap in the bathroom for us and so we had to request and ask for this. There were no cups for coffee and tea and we had to request this later. Of course all things were promptly given to us so that was good. I think more attention to detail needed especially as you’re a 4 star hotel and it’s not cheap staying here!

The good points would be the breakfast was really nice. The Spanish omelettes were the best we’ve had on this trip! Especially the spinach one. The breakfast had good variety. The location is perfect to all the tourist hot spots, museums, the botanical gardens and city centre.

A lovely hotel overall, with nice extras such as coffee machine and kettle for making free hot drinks. The main problem for us was the wifi. At check-in how to connect was never explained to us and without guidance it was impossible to navigate. Turns out you have to be a Marriott member to use the free WiFi so it's something to bear in mind- a mild annoyance for us, otherwise a 5-star experience.

Our room was sizable & well furnished with extras like sliding doors for privacy between the bath, foyer and bedroom. We had ample closet and drawer space as well. We didn’t discover the restaurant until we ordered a coffee & roll in the lobby on the morning we checked out. It’s out of sight, beyond the lobby and elevators. The elevators are small but big enuff for two adults with several standard size bags. The hotel is on a busy one-way street but the hotel is well insulated from street noise. This location was excellent for our short three-day trip. Within walking distance of the train station and the Golden Triangle of museums, we saved a lot of time. The only odd feature was a difficult entrance that requires you to lift luggage up one step onto a platform, enter through a revolving door and then, exit by stepping down three steps into the lobby. No doorman is available so you need to be able to manage your own luggage. everal good restaurants nearby.
