First thing I did when I went into the room was kill a cockroach. Luckily I was just there for a couple hours of sleep each night. Kept my bags zipped up and everything off the floor. Shower fixtures not secured to the wall.

Rooms had busted lamp shades on all the lights, lots of water damage all over the ceiling. We had a Very run down room. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The pool was too cold to swim in. It was not an ideal place to stay at all.

The breakfast was ok and the person working was nice but that was about it.
A refund is needed.

The bed was nice. Most of the outlets in the room didn’t work, including the bathroom outlet outlets. The towels were small and thin the light fixtures and TV were extremely outdated, but we were comfortable. The microwave worked, but the turntable inside didn’t match the microwave. It had a weird smell throughout the hotel.

Check in was easy and fast. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and lots of different options. Room was not the cleanest!!! Cobwebs were hanging from the curtains. Lots of dust on the lamps. Cobwebs in between wall and cabinets. I might think twice about staying again. The price was great but expected the room to be cleaner for the price.

The room was clean. One key card work and the other didn't. Asked to fix it still same problem. It was manageable. The pool is not heated and it was very cold getting into it. Its one of the better stays I had stayed in Kalamazoo area.

Hotel and a lot of bugs. The heater was broken and would just spew out hot hot hot heat. I had to get issued keys everyday because they stopped working after one night. The towels are dingy and smell so bad like mildew. I will NEVER stay there again. I also suggest no one ever stays there. Go find somewhere else.

When we arrived they advised that they had no hot water as the heater was down. They told us they have a new heater ordered and should arrive by Monday, make sure you check to assure they have the repairs completed. They agreed to issue us a 15% discount but we needed to contact Expedia . This review is our notice. As we could not find a phone number.

The entire place is very dirty from the walls to the floors. The swimming pool smelled like straight up sewage. There were cockroaches in my room 207 and when I addressed it with the manager he denied it and refused to do anything because I didn’t report them in the first 30 minutes of checking in. Wild work. Did not stay the night there were so many roaches that popped up after we settled in.

Simple But Does The Job

The place is a little run down, and wow, those credit-card door keys are a pain, but the staff treated me well, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and the shower was good. Breakfast was fine. And for the most part, the neighbors were quiet. Quality Inn isn’t fancy, but they nail the essentials and if you’re just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two, it does just fine without costing too much.

The picture is online make the hotel look great, it's not that great. Forgot to finish painting the ceiling and walls in our room. There was mildew stains on the bottom of the shower curtain, very low water pressure. One plus, the bed was very comfortable .

Worst hotel we have ever visited

There were bugs on the bathroom floor. When we checked in, there were only a few sheets of toilet paper on the roll. We had to call down for more. The shampoo dispenser was empty and we had to call down for more when we checked in. The beds were very Soft and mushy. Most probably quite old. My wife woke up one morning with a few bites on her arm. We think these may have been bedbugs. The wall plugs in the room were in such bad condition that we had trouble keeping our cell phones charged because the receptacles wouldn't hold Properly. The first morning that we were there for breakfast, the waffle machine was out of batter so we couldn't have waffles. I asked the person at the front desk what was happening and he said that we would have some the next morning. The next morning, the entire waffle, machine and table that it was on was gone. The scrambled eggs that they served. We're dried out and hard. After the second night, we packed our bags and moved to the sleep in and suites. It was a much nicer place! We originally went to this place because it was close to the wings event center. Everything is pretty close in Kalamazoo and there is no reason why anyone should ever stay at this hotel.

First Impressions were overcome.

As I was checking in, I asked to be placed close to the elevator. He said I asked for accessible which is room 200, which is way down the hall. It was difficult walk Strike one but the only strike. The breakfast was as advertised fresh hot and healthy. The room was moderately clean. We could get in and out of the hotel easily. The most pleasant surprise was the cable tv we got both the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. We had a pleasant evening.

Good for dog, otherwise so-so, very bad breakfast

Stayed in rooms 312 and 314 with a dog. Fast check-in. Three luggage carts and good elevator. Clean rooms, no smells, working appliances, no major noise other than a distant train. Pool was fine.

Parking lot was well lit. Surrounding grassy areas were nice and clean, other than cigarette butts. Perfectly good for walking a dog to do their business.

Breakfast was sad even for budget-hotel standards. Arrived at 8am. Both coffees were empty, hot water was not hot, eggs and sausage empty, and waffles tasted sour. Luckily owner was at the desk and took care everything when I alerted them. Even so there was no fruit despite banner in the lobby advertising healthy breakfast showing red apples.

Checked out immediately and while we were offered a refund, a secondary charge was made on my card so it seems like we were still charged for one night despite the poor condition of the room. Reception couldn't find my reservation, when they finally booked me in they wanted to charge me more and wouldn't accept the booked rate until I showed them my email acknowledgment. Once we entered the room the smoke odor was repelling and we asked for another room, they were not helpful. The furniture in the lobby was deeply stained. The lobby floor, hall areas and elevator were dirty. I only received a partial refund and I will be contesting the charges. I spoke with 4 of the staff, at that time, and all acted and spoke like they didn't understand English. We ended up having to find other accommodations, on our own. Beware, this place is a flop-house.

Unbearable? No. Stay there again? Sorry but...no

Upon arrival you can see it was a VERY outdated establishment. We had to ask the front desk to change rooms or provide some compensation back within 10 minutes after checking in. The TV had lines through it, the jacuzzi had soap scum when testing the water, and the room had a very odd smell. I will say though the woman at the desk was very accommodating and polite, getting us a new room in less than 5 minutes. The 2nd room was definitely better. The furniture though...straight out of the 80's, maybe 90's. Old mismatched wood furniture. The pool was very clean however barely warm and a very outdated pool area, there were MAYBE 5 small towels for guest use. But again, clean! The last and most off putting thing is when you walk in the front door of the hotel...the stained furniture (photos attached) looked like something pulled from a storage unit from the 80's. Didn't want to, couldn't bring myself to sit in the \"lobby\". I'd be embarrassed to own, rent, etc this hotel with that as a first impression when someone walks in quite honestly., would I stay there again? Simply put, no. BUT it wasn't unbearable, especially being as cheap as it was...just wish it was cleaner and more up to date.

Nice Enough for the price.

Quick and friendly check in. Nice enough place to stay for a night or two. Inexpensive. Very convenient location to the K-Wings Ice Arena.
Butlers Breakfast and Lunch is just down the street for good breakfast. The hotel continental breakfast was very limited. There is also a McDonald’s directly next door to the hotel.

There were cockroaches in the corner immediately upon entering. They were also in the bathroom.

We pulled the sheets back and found bugs in the corners.

The manager didn’t act surprised and said they would refund our money. However, it’s been 36 hours and still no refund.

Says they have a pool but with the ability to hold six. six I've seen bathtubs bigger. Secondly the place wasn't exactly Stellar as far as cleanliness. There were cockroaches in our room and some of the others. There was also a pile of towels wet laying in the hallway in front of two rooms when we arrived the next day when we left they were still laying there they're almost feel the stench coming off them. When we first got to our room we simply walked in and dropped her stuff and went on our way to dinner and an event we planned. When we returned we noticed the television wasn't working we called down to the desk and they said they'd be right up. We waited 30 minutes and then called back the front desk told me that the cable company was working on it and they were having a problem and they'd be on as soon as they could. The next morning the TV was still not working as I walked downstairs I made a comment about it to one of the other guests and they mentioned that their TV worked fine three others also mentioned they didn't have any trouble. When I got downstairs the television was also on in the cafeteria area and at the front desk. When I asked him about it he simply told me he didn't know what was wrong with the TV and gave me a I really don't care either look. As you can imagine I was extremely upset. I didn't go to a hotel to watch TV but I had three kids under the age of eight a television would have been nice to occupy them for the short time we were in the room.

After staying the night with two rooms booked, we found bed bugs. Brought one of them down to the front office and they refused to do anything about it. The manager said that unless I called the health department, that he wouldn’t have to do anything about it. Very disgusted and disappointed with how they handled this situation. Never stay here!

I have never stayed in a motel this bad. Our hair dryer SET ON FIRE. I told the front desk and nothing was done. I had to tell them another 3 times before they changed it out and I'm pretty sure they took it and put it in another room. Everything in the hotel was dirty. From the lobby to the breakfast area to the rooms. The coffee pots looked like they had not been washed. The bathtub looked like it had not been washed in a long time. There was something in the drawer of the dresser. The chair was stained and there was something in the crack, looked like a cheeto??? Very disappointed.

Steer clear and find another dog friendly option

I'll cut to the chase: do not stay here. This place feels run down and dirty inside. We booked it because it was dog friendly and next to the Wings Center for a concert. After getting back from the concert, we decided to check out and not even spend the night. Quality Inn corporate should be embarrassed this location has the Quality Inn brand on it.

The lock in one of our 2 rooms did not work properly on the bathroom door & the toilet was leaking. The curtains on both rooms did not quite close properly, the fan in the bathroom needed service (niosy), Toilet wobbled (loose mount screws) and will likely leak soon as the wax seal will weaken.

Reaks of cigarette smoke charged me for 3 nights!

The room reaks of ciggarette smoke!!!!! Thier info says a non smoking facility. All my clothes smell now. The beds were so uncomfortable. We booked 3 night but checked out a day early because i couldn't stay there 1 mire night. They wouldn't refund me for the last night. I checked out at 8:30 in the morning. It's really shaddy making people pay for a whole night stay when they are not staying. It's stealling actualy.
