This is a true 5 Star Classic Italian Hotel. Stay here if you like luxury and to be steps away from the biggest brands for shopping, close to all of the best restaurants and close to the Duomo/Galleria. It's a great place, great location, staff is extra friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed.

Grand Hotel et de Milan is so perfect for travelers who would either like to be seen or else desire privacy. The Grand Entrance has luxurious areas to sit, relax, have a beautiful cocktail, glass of champagne or else a smooth espresso. The staff are very attentive. The rooms are elegant in decor, quiet, with an old world feel. One can imagine themselves to be in a romantic Italian film here, mystery, romance and love. The hotel is very well situated being close to Teatro alla Scala, magnificent dining, and boutiques.

This is a beautiful historic hotel. It is close to the opera house and Verdi lived here. The room was extremely spacious with wonderful antique appointments. Great internet access, comfortable bedding, onsite restaurants and bar are delicious. Balcony was beautiful with enough room to have guests over in the evening. Walking distance to the Duomo, La Scala, and Galleria. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Milan.

Not as advertised. 3 nights booked end of May and we left after the second night. First night extremely stuffy and we couldn't sleep. We raised concern with front desk 3 times the following day and they said the a/c system is working fine. 2nd night after not being able to sleep again at 1:30am front desk admitted the Air conditioning is not a true A/C system and you cannot control your room temperature, they do it. The room was stuffy, dirty with spiderweb in shower, layer of dust on vents, bath towels were so worn they were see through. Could not open the window for air as there is night club outside the building, we were top floor and can hear music bumping until 4am. Finally at 3;30am hotel offered another room to sleep in for remainder of the night but could not guarantee it would be any cooler. We declined as we had to pack our bags as we decided last minute to check out a day early due to the accommodations. Access is through a key system, which you pretty much have to leave at the front desk as the keychain is weighted, no accountability of who comes/goes in your room leaving security questionable. Restaurant al a carte offerings are slim, we tried enjoying breakfast and through the window we watched organized individuals eying every tourist that walked by, including trying to converse w/ us through the window. For the price of this \"5 star\" rated hotel there are much better options in Milan.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We loved the room, a junior suite, the breakfast was amazing, and we ate both lunch and dinner which were terrific. The bar was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and professional, and always available to help. The concierge Walter got us tickets to La Scala for a performance that was officially listed as sold out.

Absolutely surpassed our expectations. The hotel was built in 1864, I know this because the concierge showed us to our rooms and along the way told us the history of the hotel. The staff is fantastic! We had breakfast every morning, so easy to start the day as a family of 5.

Don’t stay here.

Worst stay ever. The restaurant is under construction and it is loud all day long throughout the entire hotel. I ordered a car to pick me up at the airport from the hotel. My flight was delayed from the United States, therefore I could not make my connecting flight. The hotel still charged me €200 for the car, even though I told them more than an hour before my scheduled arrival time that my flight was delayed. Then the hotel booked my train tickets to Lake Como and sent us to the wrong train station. That cost us €45 and two hours of our time.

We were back in Milan very briefly and stayed at the Grand Hotel. The staff were all wonderful and friendly -- first rate. The hotel itself could use a bit of a sprucing up in spite of its historic significance. The room was spacious but ultimately not terribly comfortable, particularly the bed. Great location. But.

Everything was good apart from that I would have expected to have a better room compared to the comfort deluxe room which my friends was staying in, since ı paid 50USD more per nigth.

Ontop of this there was a confusion in the check in as I had paid for breakfast including rate, whcih they said only 2 days was included and the other 2 days not in the check in. But at the check out no breakfast was charged.

Perfect Stay in Milano

We only stayed one night and I wished it were more. The hotel is gorgeous, the service impeccable and the food in the Don Carlos restaurant delicious. The hotel location is a short and easy walk to the Duomo and also close to Linate airport.

We were in Northern Italy for the White Truffle season and recommend trying the White Truffle tasting menu at the the hotel - wonderful!

Great hotel in the center of Milan! Try Harry’s Bar for cocktails and the restaurants. If Verdi frequented the hotel for 20 years drawing inspiration, then its good in my book!

Very bad experience. Inattentive staff. No one seems responsible to address concerns. Request to fix bathroom ignored for 2 days. No apology or response. Front desk barely took and gave our key and that was it for service. Far cry from true luxury hotels that greet you warmly and remember you.This was our second time in the hotel and it was a big disappointment. It is supposed to be a \"VIP access\" hotel but service and treatment was not even mediocre.

The hotel and its staff were excellent! The location was central! A few blocks away from the Duomo, La Scala, and the shopping district/Via Montepaleone was across the street from the hotel. Over all a great experience. Will be back.

This hotel is almost perfect. The service is the high point though. it's friendly and efficient. My only criticism (niggle really) was that our room overlooked an Armani store that had a flickering TV and neon lights on all night. Closing the bathroom door fixed the problem though. All in all a beautiful hotel with a friendly atmosphere and perfectly located for shops and sightseeing.

Excellent service from all staff members: the doorman, valet, front desk, bartenders, and housekeeping were all A-game material.

Their check-in procedure is the best I've ever experienced. Evening turn down service was great. Housekeeping staff add a few small touches each day that make you feel at home. Drinks in the bar were spot on.

Bed in the classic room is huge. Slippers and robes more comfortable than other 5 star hotels I've stayed at.

Location can't be beat, less than 1/2 block from subway/metro and the tram stop and a small restaurant/cafe/bar for a quick breakfast, lunch or late night snack.

Me and my parents were very pleasant with our stay. The hotel is situated in the heart of Milan, right on the shopping street and only 10 mins walk to Piazza del Duomo. Other than that, the staffs were very helpful and very nice. Recommended!

This hotel is all about the location and service. The location is best of the best. The service is very good. The only downside is very small room. But from the other side huge bathroom, which was really good. The bathroom was almost the size of the room. We might come back if a bigger room will be available.
