Very convenient for us as a stop over. Amazing baker’s right underneath for the best bread. The communal areas were lovely and well maintained but the room was a little lacking (although for £57….) bathroom was a bit basic. Was handy having kitchenette facility.

I enjoyed a 4 night stay in mid September, 2025. Although I was travelling solo, a had a really nice suite with both a double bed and a single bed in the other room. The kitchenette was suitable for simple cooking. I was lucky to have brought a sharp knife with me, as the kitchenette didn’t have that. I was also lucky to have brought a plug for the sink and a dish cloth (one simple kitchen towel was provided).

The area appears a bit rough in the evening, however, in daytime hours, lots of locals and visitors are in the area, commuting to the train station and/or school/work.

There is was a laundry room right on my floor, which was convenient. A small cost that can be activated with a recite card.

Be careful with making sure to lock your suite door behind you when you leave. I realized on my first day that it doesn’t automatically lock. I didn’t have any issues with anyone going into my suite, but I had to remember to lock the door with the key each time.

Staff were helpful at the front desk. I didn’t opt for cleaning or breakfast (additional prices), however, staff were happy to replenish toilet paper and dish soap upon my request.

Close to the St-Jean station. The area feels unsafe at night. Many homeless people. There is no reception after 7 pm, it is important to remember the entry code as the entry is closed. There are no cards to get in the hotel or the room, but a key.

Great if you enjoy the heat

We had a better stay earlier in the year but hadn’t appreciated the toll the heat would take on our comfort. We had the windows open and fans on but the heat persisted. Nice and cool near the river in the evening and the park had a cold air installation.

Great Value for the Price

We arrived early hours a d was sent clear instructions on how to enter and find our key. Reception were informative and polite. We asked for clean towels and they offered toilet paper binliners and hairdryers too. Bordeauxwas fabilous ezsy to get around plenty yo see xx

Set on a nice quiet street 15 min walk to town… 15 mins drive from the train station. The staff were lovely all with a good level of English. Great self contained 1 bedroom with sep lounge living area with pull out double sofa bed. This would need a a great place to use as a base to explore other areas…. Just wish they had included milk in the ftidge

Clean property, close to train station and not so far from downtown. Only issue is the window facing the street did not close properly and the noise from outside was unfiltered. Additionally, the curtain was in a weird position due to the window itself, so light did get through.

Accommodation was basic but adequate for our stay. Close to main town of St Jean and tram/bus routes. Room clean but very hot despite not turning on the heating and it being November. The water tank was directly above the toilet which was hazardous but other than that it was a comfortable stay. Our only real grumble was the neighbour above us allowed their toddler to continually run up and down at night and this often kept us awake until they finally got the child to bed!

Not a welcoming place to stay really, as there was a sense of neglect over the building and particularly my bedroom. It was well appointed, or it would have been if everything worked. The hot tap was particularly lethal as it only dispensed boiling hot water.
The bed was good though and there was a fair amount of space. There are better places to stay in the area though.

Just five minute walk from the train station and a about 25 minute walk to the sights to see.

Check-in was easy. The receptionist spoke English and was very kind and helpful. She pulled out a city map and showed us where we were and how to get to the sights to see. She was through and clear on what we expected to have in our room. I think the only thing that would have made this perfect was having a hair dryer!!

The property is really well located just under 15 minutes walk from the city center. And the train station is under 10 minutes walk. You have a bakery just outside the hotel so its perfect for a short stay. The apartments are spacious (were a family of four) and the bed were amazingly comfy.

I booked this property for its proximity to the train station - that was great. Lots of construction on the streets made it challenging to navigate with a suitcase, room was much older and less nice than photos, kitchenette was as described. Neighbourhood doesn’t feel the safest with some drunks and homeless, but location is great for hoping on the metro or walking into historic downtown

I am a traveler and going around the world every week. it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Receptionist was really rude. We arrived to hotel. Our baby was crying and I told receptionist that “let my wife and the baby to the room and I will come back and finish the procedure(payment). I even told her that keep my credit card with you but she didn’t accept that. We had problem with the heating. I asked help but “she said “if it is not working they didn’t open it”. I can tell a lot of things about this property but I will definitely not stay here again and don’t recommend this property at all.

DO NOT book here - this property is NOT safe!!! Women beware! I wish I could give this hotel a good review. Honestly my room was great (I booked a single room with private bathroom). It suited my needs perfectly. BUT - after the incident that occurred, I was terrified and can never recommend this place. My room was broken into overnight - someone entered my room while I slept!!! - my purse was taken, ransacked, valuables taken, and thrown into the closet by the front door. This is the stuff of nightmares and horror movies, esp for a single woman! I didn't realize it until the morning when I couldn't find my purse and panicked - then panicked even more when I realized I'd been robbed! I was very shaken up and scared, knowing that it could have been so much worse (I could have been raped or murdered!!!) When I went to the front desk to report this, they said they don't have security cameras in the hallway (only the lobby), and that \"I could call the police if I wanted to.\" I was also offered a coffee to help \"calm me down.\" I was so upset I left immediately and got out of the city. The doors on the rooms are key entry (no deadbolt, no key card) and the lobby stays open until 9pm. So it could have been another guest, a local in the area that knew of the hotel's security flaws, or a hotel employee. It would have to have been someone that knew the hotel room layout, that I was a woman travelling alone, and that I had gone to bed for the night. So creepy!!!

Experience was not-so-good. We booked this location as the bus from the airport went to the train station and we were getting a train next morning. The apartment was a manageable walk from the station but the neighborhood seems a bit suspect. We notified the managers when we booked of the time we would be arriving but when we got there the front door was locked and we hadn't received any email to say this would be the case. A friendly tenant of the building helped us by letting us into the reception area and rang the phone number on the door and we got into the apartment eventually. When we asked the manager next morning why we weren't notified about the closing of the desk we were told they didn't have our email address - if this is the case then there is a BIG problem with the hotels.com booking system. No apology was given as the manager didn't seem to care. The apartment was a reasonable size and had an adequate kitchen/kitchenware. The lighting was inadequate and very dull - looked like low wattage bulbs were used to cut the running costs. It seems some of the apartment are rented to long term tenants. Wouldn't stay at this place again.

At check out Sunday I ask the Lady to use the toilet i was told I couldn't use the toilet downstairs because it wasn't working. .
The idea that people pay money to stay in a place and can't use the toilet is something I have never experienced before. ..

Excellent location as it is very convenient to move all around. Not luxury at all just as any location close to a main train station. Staff was friendly enough.
As these are apartments if you want to stay there for more than a couple of days you will need to take care of your own cleaning. Soap, shampoo etc are not refurbished daily.

Bathroom was a little difficult with hot water system directly above the toilet (especially if you are tall). 15-20 minute walk to see most of the sights of Bordeaux and 15 minute walk to the train station.

I really recommend this hotel to families traveling with kids. It has all you need for your confort: mini fridge, microwave, spacious room, and a separate room for parents! Some privacy is always welcome during holidays with kids!! The hotel is located really closed the train station and walkable distance to the main city attractions, but the surrounding area is not the best. I wouldn’t walk at night around, better to use the tram to come back if you return late.

Worst hotel of my life

Do not be misleaded by the glorious photos that are on the internet, the rooms are nothing like it.
The water boiler sits over the toilet! I am 5ft1 and nearly banged my head so anyone taller, especially a man wont be able to see where he is aiming!
The sink unit was broke and the tap wobbled about.
The shower was small, and extremely old, with holes in the tiles.
The flooring was broke and sharp, was afraid I would cut my foot on it.
The plug socket next to the bed has exposed wires!
Someone tried getting in to my room, and a woman who is travelling alone, this is scary.
The hotel is situated next to a busy road, and the noise coming from the road throughout the night kept me awake.
The rooms/studios do not have air con, ni hair dryers.
Hardly slept and left the hotel at 7:45am as I couldn't stay there any longer.

First, the black guy at the reception was too rude, and when we arrived there little early, he didn’t even bother to give us a chair to sit and wait, despite the fact that he was there at the reception behind the shutter .
The bathroom was so tiny, and for it was practically so hard to take shower or even use the toilet, due to the fact that the huge boiler being just installed on to of the toilet.

Street noise was awful at night

We stayed at this hotel five nights. The room is very spacious. The bedding is clean & comfortable. We have to use bath towel for 3 days before we can get the fresh one. The local area isn’t good. The street noise was awful at night so can’t get good night sleep at all during our stay. I won’t book this hotel again if I come back.

Affordable stay that could be better

We didn't want to be just opposite the station due to experience that it could be rather noisy. So we got this hotel about 6-8mins walk away.

The room is spacious, but the lighting was dim. It is also old and smelled funny, though it was ok for a night. However it wasn't mentioned on any reviews that a construction is going on just opposite our room. So it is not recommended for someone looking for a quiet place. The wifi also doesn't work well, so don't expect it to work.

The receptionist was very kind to wait for us 10 mins to pick up our luggage before she left for the day. That was much appreciated.

I booked there because it had a level 3 rating. I also booked 7 other level 3 hotels for the same trip. It was clean but very basic and it is in a rough neighborhood. It was not to the standard of the others. No air conditioning, loud street and very basic with housekeeping every third day and checking out a simple hairdryer at the desk. Very good staff, but doesn't overcome the neighborhood

The \"apartment\" was old and not cleaned very well at all - there was lotion spilled all over the desk and someone else's hair all over the bathroom floor.
The location was a bit rough especially at night.
The staff (if you ever met any, since it is limited reception hours) were not friendly or helpful when approached.
And there was no air-conditioning the room was like a sauna, and there were no insect screens, so each morning I woke up with new bug bites because I couldn't breathe with the windows closed!

Overall, we had a very uncomfortable stay at this hotel. The only benefits of staying here were the price and convenient location next to the central train station. In short, the towels smelled of vinegar, the office for check-in closes each day for two hours (12:00-14:00) during the week and (12:00-15:00) three hours on weekends, there were cockroaches in our room, the room was stifling hot with no air conditioning, and the noise from long term building tenants was beyond reasonable and lasted into the wee hours of the morning. Bottom line, would not recommend to anyone and would never stay again. Avoid, avoid, AVOID.

The rooms have no style, the WiFi is iffy, the lighting is all low wattage, only one key is available per room, and there are holes in the walls of the hallway. Clean, conveniently located economy hotel

This hotel provides what you would expect from an economy hotel -- a clean, reasonably comfortable, but bare-bones place to sleep. Breakfast at 7.50 Euros is a reasonable value. Location is convenient to the train station and to tram and bus lines. Neighborhood is not upper-class, but it seemed clean and safe. Individual hot water tank for your room is located above the toilet, so even short men (like me) must watch their heads when standing over it.
My main problem with this hotel was its lack of a sense of customer service. The hotel closes between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. No one is there to let you in during those hours. If you call the reception phone number on the door sign, you will only reach a recorded message that tells you (as near as I can tell -- it was in French only) that the hotel is closed. This was a problem for me when I arrived during that time after a bicycle ride from south of Bordeaux in the pouring rain. Even after another guest let me in, no employee would make any effort to see if my room was ready until after the hotel re-opened. I was allowed to sit in the breakfast lounge to wait, but then I was charged for the coffee I drank while waiting in wet clothes more than another hour for my room (even though there was no notice that the coffee was not available to guests without charge). Under the circumstances, I thought that the least the hotel could do was provide coffee without charge.

definitely stay away from this aparthotel

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Definitely stay away and dont book it, there was NO aircondition, during temperatures around 30 degree and when we left window open during the night, the noise from the street wope up us several times. Wifi was working only on 1 device per room, unbelevable in these times, when everyone fot smartphone plus tablet/laptop and the receptions wasnt able to help us. And the neighbour wasnt safe as well. Only advantige was that hotel got bike station just infront of the main entrance.

Okay for short stay

Hotel is in bad neighborhood, but that's what you get for the price. Toilet made a lot of noise and it kinda smells. It's not really a hotel it's a like a short stay apartment, don't expect them to clean your room etc. I liked that we had a kitchen, supermarket was a 10 min walk. You can take the tram to the city center or opt for a 20 min stroll along small smelly streets but you'll get the see how locals live lol. Lots of kebab places around the hotel. I wouldn't walk alone in the streets near this hotel.

Very basic, quite comfortable, generally clean with lots of space (2 rooms,extra single bed, and a little kitchen. Very reasonable price. No room service which was fine with us. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy but we had no real problems.It was fairly close to the rail station and tram service which was helpful to us.

Functional, not fantastic

Arrived to find the lift out of order, and you got a sense this wasn't a sudden thing. Left 5 days later Fitter with no indication the lift would be fixed any time soon. The shower head would not stay attached to the wall, the kicheette didn't have a kettle and cutlery was limited.
However it was easy to get around, convenient to the train station and quiet. Not the worst place to stay

Ténéo Apparthotel Bordeaux - more pros than cons

The hotel is not in the best area of town, but it is very convenient for the railway station. It was good to have the food preparation area, although this is quite limited - making breakfast required some ingenuity. WIFI did not work at all for my wife's iPad and the hotel staff were able neither to explain nor to fix the problem - not an uncommon one in hotels.
Overall a good two night stay, but with a few problems.

good for central Bordeaux - cheap and cheerful

Good hotel, very cheap and booked last-minute when our plans were changed. A good-sized room, it felt more like a student's dorm room than a hotel but it had everything we needed and more, including a kitchenette and small fridge. Good location for Bordeaux central and with its own designated parking garage.
