We stayed here on the way through to Portugal , lovely staff who spoke good English. Just what we needed as we had our dog with us. Breakfast ok.
We had booked to stay here again three weeks later on the way home, the lady at reception did not speak a lot of English and was not helpful. I asked for a room with air con as it was extremely hot and our dog was panting quite a lot in that tiny room but she just shook her head at me.

This hotel was cheap and cheap is what you get. I can only be thankful that it was just for one night, as the room, while being warm, dry and comfortable had what can best be described as a portaloo in the corner for the ensuite! It was quite a distance from any restaurants for dinner. When we arrived there was no-one around to check in, so we had to go away and come back at 5:30pm (3 hours). It looked rundown and the surrounding area didn't look inviting at all. I would not recommend this at all.

Good Value, with Caveats
I stayed at hotel Balladins because I was looking for a place that was car friendly and provided easy access to the Chateaux. This seemed to fit the bill nicely, and it did. Located in Eysines, rather than at the airport, the hotel is convenient to several restaurants (all within walking distance). The room was clean, but basic. I did not like the fact that the room didn't have air-conditioning and the wc was inconveniently configured.

Très bonne attention depuis l'accueil jusqu'à le petit déjeuner et le check out. Chambre petite mais le lit est très confortable et très bien insonorisée. Le pains et les viennoiseries du petit déjeuner viennent d'un boulanger, à différence des autres hôtels où ils viennent des surgelés. Et il'y a des cannelés au petit-dejeuner!

Nous sommes arrivés le premier de l'an et il n'y avait personne à la reception.
Nous avons du nous adresser à l'arrière de la reception ou nous avons trouvé une personne du restaurant qui nous a montré comment il fallait payer à la borne pour récupérer les clefs de notre chambre. Le lendemain il y avait une dame à la reception . Je voulais réserver un appart'hotel mais je n'ai pas trouvé de disponibilité sur bordeaux Le tarif était moins cher. 39 euros pour une chambre

Chambre un peu petite, nous étions 3 un couple et un bébé et la chambre et relativement étroite ! Salle de bain petite mais ce assez grande pour ce que nous avions a faire ! Bonne literie ! Attention aux ménages nous avions une araignée dans la chambre, même si c est signe que est sain c'est pas très agréable ! Si je l'avais vu en arrivant j aurais appelé l accueil mais nous sommes arrivé assez tard ! Plutôt content dans l ensemble quand on voit le prix des autres hôtels !

Hôtel pas facile à trouver, il se trouve près d'un hôtel formule 1 et dans le quartier Vigean (quartier calme). Si vous êtes très très maniaque cet hôtel n'est peut-être pas pour vous: le sol de la salle d'eau est passé et les joints sont à refaire.
A part cela; accueil excellent nuit calme et petit déjeuner très copieux.

A part le problème de confort tout s'est bien passé. Le lit n'était pas confortable et je ne sais pas qui a eu cette idée de chambre où le seul lavabo qui s'y trouve se situe à l'intérieur des toilettes.

Très déçue ! La chambre était peu éclairée, la salle de bain minuscule et ne donne pas envi d'y poser les pieds nus. De plus, j'ai eu certains boutons le landemin ressemblant à ceux de punaises de lit.
