Worst hotel EVER! When we first checked in, the first room was filthy, garbage was overflowing out of the trash cans and bed had definitely been slept in. The front desk clerk was apologetic and found us a different room however the air-conditioner did not work. She assured me that she would have it fixed by the time we arrive back from dinner. When we arrive back, the air-conditioning was not fixed and she found us a fan but unfortunately, that did not help. It was 85° inside that room, we were on able to sleep the entire night. At 7 o’clock in the morning, we checked out and the front desk clerk stated that it was “ impossible“ that the air conditioner did not. work. He went into the room and indeed the air conditioner was not working. He offered us a free breakfast but we needed to catch a train and Could not take you up on his offer. Avoid this property at all costs.

the room was very small and very cold. put the heater on but the noise meant we couldn't sleep and we needed to get up early next morning to drive. no one answered the reception bell the following morning for us to check out so we left. car parking facilities ok but advertise as secure but they don't close the gate and if no one answered us ringing the bell to leave who is watching the car park.

Lovely hotel, modern, clean and very helpful and efficient staff.

Location, although not on the lake, is only a 5minute walk away. But not an awful lot to do at the hotel end of the lake apart from sit on a bench and watch the ducks!

The tram that goes into the centre of Bordeaux is right by the lake, as cheap as chips and runs every 20 minutes or so. Well worth a visit into the centre of this beautiful city, totally unexpectedly lovely.

WiFi was a bit sketchy and the room not the most spacious, however it had all that was required for a night or two.

The buffet breakfast was a nice touch, plenty of fresh and different breads, yoghurts, cheese and ham and various pastries.

Good value for money, clean, comfortable and conveniently located hotel.

Still not worth it for a motorway stopover

We weren’t expecting luxury, this being a one night stop over, but it was still disappointing all the same. In our first room the tv was broken. We swapped rooms but then the shower wouldn’t drain. The WiFi was broken too and the air con was centrally controlled and pretty much useless. It seemed clean ish but the rooms were also very cramped.

Good place to stay

Original room had a bird in it the staff were very efficient and friendly and gave us a new room. Only thing i would complain about was the price of breakfast. €10 for some pastry, yoghurt, fruit, juice and tea or coffee.

Arrived on a Thursday night. Check in was very speedy stress free, we checked in by Laura. She seems to be this hotels best staff member. Other staff members were not as pleasant or as interested in being employed by the looks of it. Overall the hotel is too far from the centre for the staff to behave as if guests are an inconvenience, there is a tram stop 5 mins away and it takes approx 15 mins from there to reach quinconces, if the staff had been better. I may have had a different point of view

We were supposed to be 4 people, but we traveled only 3 our first room had 2 beds on top of us which we have to reach by a dangerous stairs which was folded to the wall we had to move because the bathroom was clogged next room also was uncomfortable and also that bathtub was clogged.

Pleasant stay solo

Overall friendly and comfortable stay. Twinroom is great for 1 person or 2 slim people. Have McD and Italian restaurant 5 min walk away. Breakfast not included, but you can eat in the hotel restaurant at less than €10. Staff speak fluent English, no problem in communication. 10min walk from tram station and exhibition centre. Highly recommended to people who are staying for conferences and visiting city centre. Take line C tram line can take you from exhibition center to city center and train/bus station for traveling to and from airport.

Don't bother unless you hate your husband

The rooms are TINY. Barely enough room to get your luggage in to. And then you have to side step to get around your luggage. The bathroom is actually the biggest part of the room - and yes I considered sleeping in the tub. It was very clean which was a good positive but the child sized single beds are ridiculous. In this day and age hotels should have proper,comfortable beds for adults not single beds out of the 1940's. Married people sleep together. We also requested extra blankets and pillows and an hr later the concierge showed up with one blanket as there was nothing else to be found in the hotel.

Elevator broken. Had to use stairs to second floor. Massive stain on threadbare carpet on second floor corridor. Place was being painted however. Had dinner that was mediocre. Breakfast ok, just!!

We stayed here as a stop of on our drive to spain, its was a nice hotel with lots of parking and breakfast was good but was more of a continental breakfast. But i did have a slight problem as wehad a special request for a cot in our room, but when we got in our room there was no cot. I went down to reception to get one and was told, no as i didnt request one and they didnt have one. But i showed him my booking confirmation and he did he's best to find one, which he did but i had to put it up and sort out bedding, not really what you want after being on the road for 16 hours.

Hotel Apolonia was quite readily accessible by cheap tram and bus from the railway station. The staff were affable and helpful and not a bit officious. Good breakfast and evening food available. Room had little spare space but was perfectly adequate for a lone traveller, with reduction in price for one occupant. Staff help included ordering cabs, sorting out customer's phone problem..... Room diligently cleaned daily and the hotel was attractively presented for a modestly priced place to stay. No obvious deficiencies.

One night is about all you can handle.

The hotel has placed their washrooms just inside the front entrance so our first impression was the smell of toilets. The room was smaller than anyone could ever imagine and the access to the \"loft\" is a ladder hinged to the wall that you have to retract to get to the bathroom. This was a four person room and you could barely fit two! Its not worth $130 Canadian a night.

Tiny but clean rooms

Stayed in a twin room with a friend for a business meeting. Room is so small that after 2 beds, hardly any space left to stand. TV does not show any English channel. Breakfast for 9 euro is not worth. McDonald's is very close and 3 minutes walk. Hotel is half an hour away from city centre with cheap and good bus/tram link. You need to change one bus though (not a direct service). AC in the room was working well. Reception staff was friendly but spoke little English. My businesses trip was successful so happy in general.

Overall, I thought this was an excellent little hotel. Although not in Bordeaux City Centre, it is beside a bus stop which the centre is only 20min bus/tram ride away. For me, the advantage of its location was its proximity to the Lake. Literally only a few minutes walk away. The room was comfortable with TV, teamaking facilitiies. The staff were friendly helpful and courteous always and I would use this hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends.

The hotel staff were extremely nice, prepared to help all the time. There were no fridge in the room, though it was possible to store something in a fridge in the reception area. The hotel is in a strategic area if you want to discover the region. For Bordeaux downtown a bit too faraway.

Das Hotel liegt für die Durchreise in unmittelbarer Nähe der Autobahn. Ansonsten ist dort aber nicht viel. Der See ist leider auch sehr von Beton und Straßen umgenben

A estadia embora estivesse confirmada no site hotels. Foi-me negada no check-in e o recepcionista sendo muito pouco simpático para não dizer pior, não apresentou solução.
Fiquei sem estadia e á porta do hotel após falta de simpatia ou solução do recepcionista do hotel. Pouco profissional ou nada nesmo.
Lamento imenso, nunca tal me tinha acontecido, se não me for apresentada uma razão plausível, não irei usar mais o hotel.com

Een goed hotel met ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Ik heb er heerlijk geslapen en ook uitstekend gegeten. Het was maar voor 1 nachtje, maar had er ook graag langer verbleven. Enige moeilijkheid voor mij persoonlijk was, dat er een MacDonalds op maar 200 meter lopen zat ;)

Bien que l’hôtel soit bien rempli (notamment avec des groupes de voyageurs), mon séjour d’une semaine a été calme et reposant, à la fois pour travailler dans la chambre après dîner sans être dérangé par du bruit et pour bien dormir. La climatisation est très efficace (pour ceux qui, comme moi, ne supportent pas la moindre chaleur), un ascenseur permet de faire rouler ses bagages sans les porter en étage, le plan de travail en chambre constitue un bon bureau avec au moins 3 prises électriques pour son matériel. Le seul désagrément était pour moi les commandes de lumière qui ne me paraissaient pas logiques. Autre point fort de l’hôtel : le restaurant, où j’ai dîné tous les soirs avec un choix, plus varié que la carte ne pourrait le laisser croire, de plats vraiment savoureux, le tout à un prix raisonnable (formule 1 plat ou 2 plats ou 3 plats). Cerise sur le gâteau : tout le personnel parle bien anglais et la clientèle cosmopolite vous fait voyager comme dans une Tour de Babel. Enfin, ne pas se fier à l’apparence extérieure de l’hôtel qui n’est pas très flatteuse : le service décrit supra et la décoration de la salle de repas ou de l’entrée rendent le séjour vraiment agréable, dans un établissement qui mérite ses 3 étoiles.

Un très bon accueil et une très belle chambre avec des attentions (1 sachet de chocolats et 1 bouquet de fleurs). Mes demandes ont été satisfaites malgré un incident dû à la chasse d'eau. On nous a immédiatement changé de chambre. Je retournerai dans cet établissement et je le recommande.

Hôtel très agréable à 5min à pieds de la ligne C du tram qui nous emmène au centre-ville de Bordeaux. Le personnel est très à l’écoute et nous renseigne parfaitement sur les choses à faire et à voir à Bordeaux. La décoration du restaurant est bien pensée avec des fauteuils pour boire un verre Peu de bruits extérieurs et chambres bien insonorisées. La literie est correcte.
