I stayed in room 138, it was humid in the room the entire time I was there. The plug situation left a lot to the imagination, you had to leave certain light switches on in order for the refrigerator to work as well as the plug in the bathroom area. The mattresses were lumpy. I did feel safe and the front office staff was very courteous. Had I not been as tired as I was at the end of my day in San Marcos I might have switched hotels. I will say, after a day at the river, this might have been a fine accommodation for a group of friends, but for 2 older ladies, it left a lot to be desired.

Please be advised do not stay at this hotel. The room was full of trash, dirty socks and roaches. The landline was not functional so no outside communication in case of emergency or need to contact front desk. Staff had minimal response to the issues so I doubt they will rectify any problems. Roaches are as dirty as it gets for any property!! Unacceptable accommodations!

Terrible room! It was dirty. Feels like it had not been vacuumed. Water stains on mirror. Bed had hair in it. The chair in there was all scratched up. It was disgusting and never will I recommend this place to anyone. Only positive thing is that they refunded me my money back for the second night I I had booked. I left to another hotel instead as I could not stay another night there.

I had three rooms before I got the room I though was the best one 1st room was mold in bathroom ceiling 2nd room the screws was loose and door rattle when yanking on it not secured enough 3rd room had blood stains on the mattress 4th room was ok but refrigerator needs to be thawed out at the top. I believe that people that are working the premises should check and notice things like I stated above when the are cleaning, maintenance, housekeep and guess check in. the toilet was the size for a baby. I'm not quite 5'3\" tall and 77 years old the toilet was so low I had to hold to the door knob on one side and the tub one the other side to get down that low and even my knees were sticking upward it was so low. I asked about a room with a regular size toilet and told they are all that low. I will not be staying at La Quinta again

Unfortunately, my experience at this property was very poor. Upon checking in, the room had a strong urine odor near the bed, which made it feel unsanitary and uninhabitable. Because of this, I did not stay the night and left to stay elsewhere.

When I returned the following morning to retrieve my belongings, the room also smelled strongly of marijuana, despite being booked as a non-smoking room.

Cleanliness is a basic expectation when staying at a hotel, and this room did not meet that standard. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

There were small cockroaches and crickets in our room. Mold and mildew in dirty shower which had hair indicating it had not been cleaned. Thought it was a modernized La Quinta, but was just a refurbished Motel 6. Had exterior doors, no security features, could hear everything around you. Beds hurt your back. Photos are very misleading. They repainted and got new bed coverings to appear like a modernized La Quinta but it is not. Would NEVER recommend for family regardless of the price.

We check in and was informed our room was in the second building, we got to the building and room and had issues with the keys had had to get them fixed and the air had an odd scent. We tried to turn down the ac but it never felt like the room cooled. Booked an accessible room shower transition strip was raised and soap scum in shower. Sink has grim and ac had mold on the air vent. We didn’t attend breakfast or visit the pool since they are located in the main building. Not what we expected but we decided to make the best of it and not complain since we only stayed two night and were visiting family

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The biggest issue was finding cockroaches in my room — completely unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one charging guests at this rate. It made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe during my entire stay.

The room was not properly cleaned, and the staff’s response to the issue was dismissive and unhelpful. Clearly, there are serious hygiene and maintenance problems here.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

You get what you pay for. Not a bad property but it’s old and not clean. The bathtub in particular was extremely dirty. Lots of old grime and mold. The walls and doors are very dirty. The key cards don’t work half of the time. The a/c never gets the room completely cooled down. It worked fine to lay your head down at night but the pillows were lumpy. Breakfast was lacking but it was decent enough. Again, for what we paid, it did the trick. I wouldn’t stay here again though.

Even thou requested non smoking room. People outside the room smoked and obviously the smoke got inside the room with a no desirable odors inside the room. The room was old and everything inside was the same, dirty bathroom l, sink and bathtub. Ee were not able to take a shower because of it. The beds were horrible hard and noisy. The lighting was obsolete and lamps did not work. We used anyway sin e we stayed only 1 night, please doesn't deserve a second chance. Toilet and plumbing was horrible as well and so noisy. Will never stay here ever again

For breakfast they have eggs and link sausage. There is a pancake maker, and the rest is basic. I only choose the building across the parking lot bc they are inside entrances. Those rooms only have double beds. They are very comfortable. The rooms are always clean. This is my 2nd time staying in the building across the parking lot. If you need a larger bed those are outside opening rooms kinda like motels.

They gave me a key when I checked in and the room had not been cleaned. I went back to the office to get another room and it wasn’t cleaned either. Don’t stay here!!! If you do, bring a black light!! Just FYI. Cancelled reservation and went to another hotel.
