Very old school hotel that was extremely clean and well taken care of for its age. The room was large and included a refrigerator and microwave. There was a continental breakfast included and enjoyed sitting by the pool. Parking was free.

The King Suite was amazingly spacious! We had a full kitchen, a large living room, a walk in closet, and the private room was great. We also had a pretty private balcony area with a fire pit right outside our room. The breakfast was much better than expected and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Santa Barbara.

1st time staying here and we was VERY pleased. 2 night stay on a weekend. They upgraded our room without us asking. The room was very clean, had a separate living room and kitchen and 2 TV's. Grounds were well maintained. Love all the seating area outside that they have. Jacuzzi and pool area were terrific. Wonderful choices on free continental breakfast and happy hour with wine, cheese and crackers. Complimentary beach cruisers for 4 hours was fabulous. Walking distance of 5-10 minutes to many restaurants and wharf. Would stay here again for sure. 10/10

This was our first visit to Santa Barbara. Apparently there are no big hotel chains in the wharf - downtown area. We chose the Brisas not really knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be a wonderful weekend stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and MOST IMPORTANTLY--the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept on in a hotel room, ever! The mattresses are plushy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the pillows are not crappy down pillows--they stay fluffed all night.
Aside from the amazing beds, the hotel itself was lovely too. Happy hour with free wine and cheese every afternoon, a complimentary continental breakfast (the frittata with a bit of salsa was terrific), and a very friendly front desk staff who had a printout of my reservation ready to go as soon as I arrived. I think check-in might have been 30 seconds, which is way more efficient than any big hotel chain.
Location was fantastic too--walking distance to the wharf and downtown. We were on a Highway 101 roadtrip and stopped in Santa Barbara for 2 nights. It was so nice to be out of the car and Brisas made our stay so much nicer. Thanks so much to this hotel!

HIGHLY RECCOMEND.We were in town for a family wedding. The hotel is in a very good location, right off the 101 freeway and about 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel is small and cozy, we loved the old mission style. The landscaping and tile work was nice. Lobby furnishings were very new and nice. We had 2 king suites side by side. The king suites are very good size. The sofa bed was comfortable and the king bed was super comfortable. The kitchen is very nice and a nice size with everything you need. Loved the bathroom! Very large size, large shower, large vanity and large closet, lots of room. A/C worked well, it is very quiet. Oh and the breakfast was very good! Amazing pastries.

The room was sub par. The room was adjacent to the roof and the windows were half the size comparing to other rooms in the same row, and the windows were hazy with buildups. The hazy windows and wood blinds made the room dim. Also, the carpet looked old and warn out, and looked different than the photo. Probably some rooms have been renovated and this room wasn’t? The room had an odor so we had to keep the windows open. Also, the wall AC unit needs a new filter. It’s probably a good idea to make the room last sell till the issues are fixed.

It’s hard to write a review saying I will not stay here again because I know some people would really like this place. I’ll start with the positives; the location is great, the parking is easy and free, there are bikes you can use, motel vibes, breakfast was included and ok, all overall fine.
I did not like how old the place felt, the carpet in the room, there was a Peloton bike in the tiny storage closet ‘gym’ space, but the Peloton is not connected to an account, so it’s unusable which matters to me and probably not others, no weights, the wine happy hour is box wine and the staff was fine, no warmth but did their job.

It was my first time staying here, and it definitely won’t be my last! It’s a very calm inn with a lot of charm to it. It’s walking distance from the beach which I enjoyed. There were also a lot of great amenities like a mini fridge and microwave in the room. You can also borrow bikes to explore SB. The continental breakfast was yummy, and the staff were super helpful and kind. Definitely recommend :)
