Our recent stay at your hotel during the Boxing Day period was unfortunately marred by several significant issues.
Room Conditions:
* Initial room was unclean and had maintenance problems.
* Second room had visible mold and dirt.
* Pillow quality was poor.
Power Outages:
* Unscheduled power outage from 11:45 PM to 12:30 AM.
* Additional power outage around 5 AM.
* Affected critical services like lifts, lighting, and phones.
* Raised concerns about guest safety and emergency response.
Overall, the quality of accommodations and services provided did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price point. We believe that significant improvements are necessary to ensure future guests have a satisfactory experience.

The setback of this hotel are:
1) Room is using warm lights & too dim.
2) Rain shower only so likely to get your hair wet.
3) Difficult to adjust warm water by the tap (too sensitive).
4) Water Basin drainage is clogged & builds up water easily.

Overall, so-so hotel as it is slightly run-down. The good point is next to shopping mall.

This hotel is becoming worse, probably will be my last time staying. Stayed 4 nights.

Good point:
Room is comfy
Close to my branch office

Rooms for improvement:
NO Gym facility even the web/ APP saying there is, I felt that I got cheated.
Poor quality of breakfast, limited selection food choice really need to improve a lot.
Hot shower not working fine, it took me 5 mins to wait

The only reason I chose this hotel is close to my hotel, if this hotel do not improve then i will give up.

The toilet installation looks bad, it looks dislocated.. The soundproof windows are not good. You can clearly hear the construction outside at night on the upper floors.

When I checked out today, the hotel staff (lady) explained that the parking machine was spoiled and could not waive my parking fee. It was necessary for me to go to the packing office to waive after that I was asked to pay by the parking office when I arrived at the hotel. No free parking is provided by the hotel.

Terrible is the word i can think of. The hotel was run down, and i had mite bites after the first night, and was itching like crazy. Breakfast was awful, tables were not cleared at all and i had to eat with dirty cutlery from earlier guest piled up on the breakfast table. The fried anchovies for the nasi lemak were not fresh and has lost its crunchiness. The soup for the noodles were completely tasteless, like water. When i checked out of the hotel at 5am, the receptionist was sleeping on the couch. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the location.

The ceiling was too old, could see the paint peeling. The heater is not working! I tried to call to lobby but the in house phone not working as well!! And the air conditioner system is not working well too!
I had a freezing cold bath and also a freezing cold sleep. Bad experience.

The hotel was only one staff at front desk and when we arrived there was no any greeting, also we looked for the staff to check in for around 5 minutes, it was so terrible, how can a hotel lobby does not have air conditioning, no light, no staff, and government already allowed dine in but the hotel still not open for that, so we can only have our breakfast in our room.

Before we arrive the hotel I sent email to ask them something and there was no any response. Also I required two plates and two forks to place in my room, there was no anything.

And the housekeeper also forgot to put toothbrush and toothpaste in our room, we had to make a phone call to get it.

The breakfast we requested to arrive at 8:00am but it arrived at 8:30, I called service center two times to ask, she just told me its on the way up, but it was not.

I request room to be away from Train tracks and specifically remind again during check-in. But the staff did not comply to my request. I am very sure Hotel occupy rate was well below from Full.
Simple face towel and toiletries stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste were also not supply.

Properly time to reconsider other hotels. Feel price paid don't get the value that I expected.

This is not the first time I stayed this hotel, basically the hotel is so close to my working office. Therefore I always stay here.
Last time, I suggested to the front desk to install a table lamp in the room on the working desk, it is too dark, I can't even do my work properly. In addition, they can install a soft closing to the door, the loud slamming sound woke me up a few times on the door. Lastly, the breakfast has improved, however maybe can more consideration for Vegetarian like me.

When I check in, had to go back to Reception twice because key card did not work.

When I got in to the room, the safe was not working. I had to rush out so carried all my valuables and reported to the Reception....BUT when I returned at night, the safe was not fixed.

On plus side, room looks new and clean BUT this is the first hotel I have stayed in Malaysia that do not provide toothbrush, hair conditioner or shaver.

I asked for a non smoking room, and I got a room on the 3rd floor. The room itself was fine but the air conditioner air intake must be over some smoking area and the room smells of smoke. Since it was only for one night, i bore with it.

Room was big and clean. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Empire Hotel. Plus it’s connected to the mall, very convenient, the mall has basically anything you need. Few things to improve on, the elevators are very slow and there’s only 2? Parking is free which is great, but we had to stop by b1 floor to get to the autopay machine even though hotel guests are instructed to park at b2, b3 and b4. Other than that, it’s a pretty nice place to stay for a short trip in Malaysia!

Review of Empire Subang - not 4 stars

Booked a king premier room but was given a twin room instead. Was not informed of the change during checkin. Told the reception about their mistake but no help was given. Told us to just accept the room, obviously they gave our king room to someone else. Room facilities - no shower head, toiletries are basic, no fridge, not enough lightings in room make it dark. For the price that we paid, I would not return.

Street and traffic noise is a concern.

Location is good as it's attached to a mall. Rooms and service are good. One thing that bothers me is that it's noisy at night. The street noise and traffic can be heard in the room and I did not have a good sleep.

The most disappointing and off putting was the cleanliness in the cafe/restaurant which served breakfast.
1 the plates were most of them dirty- with black stains- obviously not washed well. I returned so many of them and brought it up with the Chef.
2 food was below par- omelette was underdone- raw inside. Roti Cana I was tough, curries had raw taste of curry powders, fruit juices- more water and sugar.
3 coffee was gritty
For the price- in Subang- not very happy

first time to stay in this hotel, came from airport with grab car and was able to easily find the main entrance of the lobby as there wasn't clear signage as the road to the entrance is passing through the integrated shopping mall.
Upon checkin, realize that the house-cleaning forgot to replace toothbrush kit and had to inform the front desk to have it replenish.
Overall, room is clean enough and comfy enough for a short 2 night stay

Hotel Needs Major Upgrading

The guest reception seems to think all guests knows where to go after check-in. He doesn't even explain which is the wifi id and password. All he does is pass me the door key card in the usual card folder and left me to figure out everything myself. If it was not for the location of the hotel, I highly doubt i would stay there again. The lobby ceiling was leaking and dripping water into a bucket. A super sore sight for a hotel. The flooring in the hotel room is popping up, curtains have water marks.
Management should really look into the hotel's quality.

Easily accessible to shopping area.
Booking confirmation and allocation of rooms need to improve.
Chambermaids must know want need to be changed when doing room cleaning.
Lifts were slow and there were times when it jerked between levels causing it to bring me to the uppermost level before ascending down my desired floor.

The hotel need to be renovated, the interior and furnitures are not maintained in good condition. I found dusts in corners of my room, stains on the bed sheet and curtains. Most disappointed is the lighting, too dark in the room. Right after i checked in i went to the front desk to ask for a desk lamp because I have to read some documents (it’s a business trip), the staff said will check and get back to me, no reply after an hour so i phoned back....a lady replied me that desk lamp not available and suggested i can change room, i asked if other rooms with brighter lighting, she replied all rooms are the same (then why she suggested me to change room!). The next morning I asked again to the front desk, finally they arranged a table lamp to my room.
The only plus is there is a mall next door with many restaurants.
I won’t stay in this hotel again.

Very good location .. that's about it! Service was mediocre on check in. Checking out was a breeze as it was prepaid. The hotel parking shares with the mall. So, finding a spot is quite difficult most of the time except very late or very early in the day. The bathroom condition was jaded. The marble or granite trimmings have calcified and had no shine but whitish surface. I complained about the safety box in the room but throughout the duration of stay no one came to repair. And WIFI was slow and connection was intermittent.

Disappointment upon disappointment!

1. Checkin not cognizant of my online request for adjoining. I still have to remind at counter to which response the hotel do not have such rooms
2 No personal touch, just clinical replies eg when request for one hour checkout extension for one room(booked 2 rooms), reply was fully book. When I told them to consider that I checked in at 12 midnight, was told can extend half an hour. How petty and impersonal!
3. Pillows are so flat , worse than budget hotel quality.
