Good stay in good location

Our stay was good. Hotel is very near to the Central Bratislava. I want to say that in rooms, kettle’s place should be changed. It is hard to use it right under glass shelf.
Also in the breakfast room, coffee machines are not working well. It is filling just 1/4 of the glass.
The restaurant in the hotel does not have meal differentations. Also does the hotel serve dinner? I have seen dinner in the breakfast room, but I couldnt understand if it is for a special occassion.

It’s a nice hotel, but it really is not conveniently located if you are a tourist. It’s a business hotel, and is a good 40 minute walk to the closest tourist attractions of Bratislava. Also a 40 minute walk from the train station. As Bratislava is a fairly small town, you could say it’s way out of the way to anywhere a tourist might go. There’s also very little in the way of dining around the hotel, and the hotel restaurant is not great. Not awful. But not great

I was really enjoying my stay here at this hotel. It’s not convenient location wise to the old city and castle. But it’s really a business hotel, not a tourist hotel. Plus I really enjoy walking, so I didn’t feel inconvenienced. I decided to extend my stay for a few days and booked the extension on Expedia as I find Expedia convenient and easy to use. I went down to the front desk to pay them the courtesy of letting them know I was extending. The girl at the desk was very very nice, but I think she is new and wasn’t sure what to do, so she called over what i assume was her manager. This woman proceeded to lecture me about how I should be using the Hilton website (which I don’t like using) and how she shouldn’t be letting me stay in my upgraded room (which I never asked for to begin with) because I wasn’t using the Hilton website. But as a favor, she would let me stay in the upgraded room. First of all, I’m a 55 year old man paying full price for a hotel, not an 18 year old backpacker at a hostel. Second, I have gold status with Hilton as an American Express platinum card holder. She wasn’t doing me any favors by giving me an upgrade which I am A-entitled to and B-never asked for in the first place. This whole interaction has left a really bad taste in my mouth and has spoiled what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay. If this is the way Hilton treats their paying customers, I think I will just stay at other hotels in the future.

The hotel is too expensive for the standard that it offers. It is pretty far from the city centre and a bit dated. Not enough electrical outlets in the room. The water in the bath is coming so slow that its gets cold before the bathtub is full. It was very cold in the lobby and the room was also not warm even with heating set on full.
On the bright side- the hotel is very clean,the staff is nice and the breakfast was ok.

Perfect for the arena, and if you have time the outdoor pool next to hotel. Comfy beds, Aircon that works. Gym etc all included. Rooms are also a decent size. English speaking tv channels, plus various others such as German and French.

Breakfast service was poor. Every morning i had to find someone in the kitched to make an omlette. I was given a luke warm latte & asked for a fresh one & the staff member brought me same one back heatee from the microwave. Room was spacious but we found rubbish left behind under the bed.

Brown decor with brown art work. Dead insects on windowsill. After returning to my room at 5pm I saw my room had not been cleaned. I was told by hotel it is normal to clean rooms after 5 pm. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told there was no manager there at that time. I had to call Hilton Europe care line to make a complaint. I was told it would be followed up by the hotel manager the next day but it was not. Second day a dirty cleaning cloth left next to sink- maybe so I could clean it myself?

What a wonderful place

We stayed here for one night so far. Excellent hotel. Great staff who are helpful and attentitve. Wonderful restaurant and the free breakfast must have 150 or more items on it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bratislava.

The hotel is out of the Centre which is great if you are looking for a little peace and quiet. Not much around the area but transport to town is a short walk. Parking around the hotel was easy to find although the hotel does have its own undercover parking for 20 Euro
The rooms are quite spacious ,modern and clean Bathroom is good except the bath shower combo is a little challenging to enter due to the height of the bath.
Wifi is a little slow at peak times .
Like all European hotels the aircon is not yet operational. So don't use the duna.
Great modern hotel with great staff and service.
Will definitely stay here again.

Our first two days our room had no hot water, unless we called the front desk and 5 minutes later hot water was available! Also, the air conditioning is controlled by the hotel, not the thermostat in your room.

Very nice place for a two day stay.

This hotel was spacious and comfortable. Everything worked and the staff were very nice. Super breakfast for 9 Euros. Long way from the Old Town and castle. Watch out for the taxi drivers. We were told there was a minimum 15 Euro charge for a taxi. We knew it was not true but the other two taxi driver said the same thing. It was late and we were tired so... Our fare back to the train station was 6.80 Euros. Nice stay.

Nice hotel, big rooms and all seems very new. The gym was small, but no-one else was using it while we were in, so not a problem. All equipment was good, with TV, radio, games etc while you work out. The pool was great - a good size and very clean.
The only downside is that this hotel is a bit out of town. As the weather was nice, we walked, but it took around 40 minutes. I imagine the trams are pretty easy to use though, and there is a stop not far from the hotel.

Very Nice Hotel, A bit far from the sights

My wife, my 1 year old daughter, and myself stayed here as part of a family vacation to see her family in Slovakia. The hotel itself is very modern and nice. The room may have been the nicest I've ever stayed in. We got the deluxe room and there was plenty of space for my daughter to play in. The bathroom was nice with a separate shower and tub. The hotel itself was fantastic, very clean and a helpful staff that spoke excellent English. The location left something to be desired. There was very little in the way of restaurants within walking distance, we thought there would be more with the hockey arena being there. We did find a nice pizza place at the 3 tower condo complex a block away, but for the most part options were limited. We were limited from using taxis because of our kid, but there is a bus stop near by that serves many lines and that was very effective for us to get around.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and found the hotel, clean, comfortable and a fair price for what we paid. I'm not a massive fan of the heat and the only slight draw back would be the air con which didn't seem to get very cold even on the lowest setting. That aside we had a nice stay and the complimentary cookies were lovely!

A lovely experience

We were pleasantly surprised. The room which was intended for 2 adults and 2 children was larger than we expected, extra clean and with plenty of storage space, the bathroom was also large and we received soaps by Crabtree & Evelyn. The service was impeccable and breakfast was varied and generously displayed. We used the pool and had a great time. Also took a Thai massage which was professional. We intend to return to this hotel in the future.

Thank you for a nice surprise.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights after our long flight from the US to Vienna International Airport , VIA is located only 30+ miles away and it is connected to Bratislava by a pretty decent highway, you will need a \"toll pass\" for Austria and Slovakia. This Hilton family facility is brand new, it was constructed for May 2011 Ice Hockey Championship in Slovakia. The stuff was fluent in English and extremely giving, our front desk employee, (a guy from Zvolen, Slovakia), went extra mile to take care of us, thank you! The city is not as pretty as rest of Europe's capitals, however, I would recommend it for a day tour, regardless of all the architectural damage done by decades of communist regime. The view from the castle was quite depressing to us, the food and the cost on the other hand were beautiful. Parking of our rental car was allowed at front of the front desk at no cost, pretty rare for Europe, we paid on average 20 Euros for overnight parking facilities throughout Europe. I strongly recommend this facility, I stay 100 night a year in hotels worldwide, this one was superb in regards to price/quality ratio!

Doubletree Hilton, Bratislava- beware at checkout

The hotel itself is very nice and clean as it is very new. The location for me was good because I was there to see a tennis tournament and it is right next to the tennis centre.
The staff weren't that great, some were quite rude. When I came to checkout they tried telling me I had eaten a 23 euro meal and I had 25 euros worth of drinks from the mini bar. I had been at the tennis tournament all day everyday I was there and had to argue for about 10 minutes that I didn't have anything in the hotel as I had thought I had already paid for my stay there thru hotels.com. Even though I had an email saying \"your booking is confirmed and paid in full\" they still said I need to pay for my stay there on my credit card. I even showed them on my phone that the money had come out of my bank already but they still weren't happy. This is an issue I will be taking up with hotels.com if I get charged again for the same booking. Not happy about it at all, really ruined my holiday to leave on a note like that.

new modern hotel

Good value hotel between airport and centre city. Seems like it was built recently as outside, lobby and rooms all seemed fresh and new. We also used the pool which was clean and heated. Bratislava can be a bit rundown so we were happily surprised to pull up to a new looking hotel. Services was friendly and staff spoke English well. There doesn't seem to be much to do tourist wise in the immediate area but it is close to airport. We had a rental car so we drove to airport and city area - did not use public tranportation so I can't comment on that for convenience of use. We also stayed at the Crown Plaza near centre city - but that hotel seemed old and rooms were not up to the declared 4 star standard. This hotel is clearly nicer - but away from centre city.

So much for pre-paid 100 %. Surprise at checkout...City Tax and huge other surprise : Used a toll free number and calling card to call back to USA. Hotel \"forgot\" to block toll free numbers so they charged me hotel rates to USA and my calling card was billed. Management would not discuss mistake by staff. Visa will sort it out for me. I refuse to pay $ 200.00 for 15 minutes of talking over and above what it cost on my calling card !!

Sehr enttäuschend - nicht zu empfehlen

Empfang sehr freundlich. Zimmer sehr alt, Sessel abgesessen, Möbel abgewetzt, im Zimmer 316 stank es enorm, hatte Haare am Bett, überall Fusel auf dem Teppich. Bekam dann Zimmer 716, was besser roch aber auch da war der Teppich nicht sauber. Ich habe das Hotel gewählt, weil mein Auto von der Höhe passt und es in der Nähe von Familie ist. Frühstück auf keinen Fall buchen, mindere Qualität: Pulversaft, 1 Konfitüre, Nutella, die sich in Fett und Choco teilt, fader Tee, das schlimmste: es ist eine Hotel, in dem junge Schüler ausgebildet werden, die dann zu 5 mit verschränkten Armen hinter dem Rücken ohne Begrüssung einem beim Frühstück zuschauen und um den Tisch gehen. Ich fühlte mich wie in einem Gefängnis. Habe dies schon bei den letzten beiden Besuchen bemängelt aber anscheinend ist das dem Hotel egal. Fitness ist gut. Dass es nur Thaimassage gibt, finde ich suspekt. Hätte sonst gerne eine medizinische Massage gebucht. Bin von diesem Besuch enttäuscht. Die Zimmer brauchen dringend ein Upgrade und bessere Reinigung. Die Lage ist gut.

Tutto ottimo come sempre all’Hilton, ma 30 € x animale domestico (io ho 2 cani) senza alcun servizio aggiuntivo per loro (ciotole, cucce, o gadget come in altre strutture) non si possono far passare alla voce “animali domestici ammessi potrebbe essere richiesto un supplemento”.
Questo credo sia inaccettabile. Unica ragione per un giudizio complessivo inferiore al massimo.

Schlafen wie im Schlaraffenland

Das Zimmer war zwar bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, allerdings war alles andere sehr gut
Das Bett war himmlisch, noch nie so gut auf einem Bett gechlafen
