Plenty of staff everywhere reception, cleaning, dining hall. We stayed with breakfast added and it was a lovely display each and every morning. We sat in the salt cave for an hour, free with the hotel.

Convenient, could be better

Hotel is conveniently located out of the old center but close enough to be reached easily. There is a nice shopping mall nearby and several stores and restaurants.
The room is small but decent.
What bothered: minibar not icing and air conditioning not cooling. Took time for the maintenance team to fix both, but still not perfectly. Shower is good but the box is just partially closed so water flows out and wets the whole bathroom id you are not careful.
Breakfast was very complete and well served.
Reception crew was friendly.

The Apollo Hotel is a very clean and tidy hotel. The breakfast are excellent, with a wide range of foods, from continental, salad, cold meats, fresh Fruit and yoghurts to an hot option of Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Tomato, mushrooms and pancakes. There was also s large selection of drinks ranging from various fruit juices
to hot beverages.

When entering the hotel you can see that it has been maintained to a high standard, with the corridors and public areas clés and well maintained.

Nice hotel and close to public transport, the shower head holder was unfortunately broken though and was told it couldnt be fixed during my stay. The breakfast was very tasty. Overall good stay for exploring Bratislava

The Apollo Hotel is situated in a very good area if you like travelling. It is a 15 minute Uber away from the airport and an 8 minute walk away from the Nivy Shopping centre, which houses the main bus station underground. From there we travelled into both Hungry and Austria with ease. The Hotel itself is very well presented with 24 hour reception. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided. Breakfast is excellent, with a vast range of hot & cold buffet food. Plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian, but I preferred the cooked sausage & scrambled eggs! Reception staff were very friendly and helpful when questioned about the local area. Rooms were spacious, with a very modern shower room/toilet, fridge and coffee making facilities. Hotel Bar prices were also very reasonable, if you didn't fancy venturing out in the evening. Overall, a very comfortable and happy stay. Highly Recommend.

A pleasant nicely furnished hotel only 5-8 mins walk from the main bus station and a huge new shopping center. Its about 25 mins walk to the historic center but there are public transport options. Breakfast buffet was very good. There's a number of dining options, bars and coffee places in the vicinity of the hotel.

We arrived at the hotel at 13:30. Since it was not 14.00, they did not check-in and kept them waiting.
Room furniture and bed width were nice. That was the only positive side.

Negative issues are: There is no insulation on the walls. Husband and wife in room 424 fought many times at 12 am and 7 am, and their voice was in our room.

Another negative is that the ventilation in the bathroom was broken and it was working loudly until the morning. The receptionist came and said I'll be back in 5 minutes and left. When he didn't come even though it was 10 minutes, I went down to the reception. It turns out that the officer in question finished his work 5 minutes ago and left. A second receptionist came and looked at the malfunction and advised us that instead of giving us a new room, the sound stops when the key is cut, and remove the key. Well, when you remove the key, the whole room becomes dark. TV and lights not working. Our day was a nightmare. I will make a negative comment. He didn't care when I said it wouldn't be served this way.

The breakfast was lousy. There were neither olives nor cheese varieties. There was a kind of cold bleach. We couldn't eat the egg made where they cook the pork either. We were hungry. I do not recommend this hotel. I suggest you stay at the hotel closer to the train station and historical places.

Služby sú v poriadku, aj vybavenie hotela. Avšak k **** hotelu patrí aj určitá úroveň personálu a detaily, ktoré tvoria celkový dojem.
Personál sa správa veľmi nemiestne, pokrikujú na recepcii po sebe apod. Veľmi neprofesionálne správanie. Za úsmev sme si mali asi priplatiť..

Hotel Apollo is a very pleasant place to spend time in beautiful Bratislava.It's an old style hotel.The room is spacious and clean with large,comfortable bed.Free safe.Small refrigerator.TV.Bathroom with bathtub.Rooms on the last floor have balconies.In the front-bus stops.Conveniently located within easy reach of Bratislava's tourist attractions.Breakfast is served in stylish restaurant,very tasty,form of a buffet.There is a hot food buffet as well as cheeses,meats,cereals,fruit,veg,bread,coffee,tea,juices.Delicious hot pancakes,cakes-carrot,gingerbread,fruit gluten-free.It's worth mentioning that the buffet was refilled all the time by the Staff,even shortly before the end of breakfast,nothing was ever missing.The Staff very pleasant and smiling.Dinner in restaurant-delicious food,great wine,very pleasant service.We recommend venison,you can feel good taste and professionalism of the Chef.Room service with a good selection of food and drinks at an affordable price.Cleaning Ladies are present on the premises of the hotel every day,everywhere clean and pleasant.There was no problem with printing travel documents at the reception,which makes your departure day much easier.The location of the hotel is in a quiet and safe place with easy access to the airport,even by city bus.It's close to the Old Town,Bratislava Castle,SNP Bridge.To sum up,we highly recommend staying at the Apollo Hotel,delicious breakfast,friendly Staff,good location,as well as Bratislava itself.

We stayed for one night in this hotel during our family holidays in Slovakia. We had a great stay, the staff and service was fine, the rooms were cosy and clean, even though the furniture is a little bit outdated, the buffet breakfast was very good with a large variety including gluten free options which we very much appreciated as well as the dining options at the hotel restaurant. The only drawback is the location, it is slightly far from the old city center, around half an hour walk.

A major disappointment

Pre covid my wife and I enjoyed a comfortable stay at this hotel and were looking forward to returning. Regrettably the Apollo did not live up to our expectations. On arrival the check in process was efficient and reception staff were friendly, our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Although the room was supposed to have been cleaned to a high standard the carpet was littered with a number of items of loose threads of material. Daily cleaning of rooms was not taking place unless specifically requested due to the covid situation so we requested cleaning but didn't notice any improvement during our stay. The breakfast was very good and the quality of food and service whenever we at dinner in the restaurant was very good. On our last night we had intended to entertain some friends in the restaurant but couldn't as it was completely closed to all guests due to a wedding celebration taking place. No prior warning was given about this. Also during the whole reception area was blocked off for a period of time due to a local custom in connection with the wedding taking place, this left us unable to get out of the hotel during this event as the staff in reception refused to let us out of the hotel via another route (was there one? They wouldnt say). All in all not a great stay and i wouldn't stay here again unless i could be assured of a major improvement.

Three star hotel at best

After reading so many positive reviews my girlfriend and I were excited to check out the Apollo Hotel on our two day stay in Bratislava.

First the positive:
- Great staff, most were very friendly and helpful!
- Salt cave - kinda cool to spend 30 - 40 mins there and relax.

The not so good:
- Overall impression of the hotel - needs a refresh!
- Rooms are very dated - ours was definitely not like the advertised photos ( although facing the back of the hotel is quiet and has a bit of a view from the 5th floor)
- Location - not the best neighborhood and far from the old town... if you're short on time not the place to be
- Parking - 9 Euro but apparently can park for free on all the streets around the hotel just so you know
- Breakfast - maybe they cut some corners here due to Corona... but breakie turned out to be way below average for a four star hotel.

All in all this is a three star hotel at best .... not sure what the other reviewers experienced that I missed.

Hotel have that old school charm, I'd say, Eastern Europe charm.Nice breakfast, room and bathroom looks like it has been renovated, specially the bathroom. Parking is easy, just in front of the hotel.
Staff is friendly and helpful. For the price we paid, I can recommend this hotel and for my next visit to Bratislava I will use it again.

Room large, bed extremely comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities in room along with a free bottle of water which was a nice touch. Sound proofing wasnt great as could hear other people shouting in their rooms. Breakfast amazing - massive variety of food and all delicious. Staff on receiption v friendly and helpful. About a 20 min walk to old town or a 70c bus ride. Would definitely stay at the Apollo again.

Front of house staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was very good, bedroom was large enough and clean but housekeeping was a bit haphazard, some days only one glass was left between the two of us and other times the selection of teas and coffee was not refreshed despite our having used the stock that had been supplied the previous day. The beds were ok but not as good as at other 4 star hotels we've stayed at.

It was an ok stay at a reasonable price. The room had everything I needed, but I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting a bath but only had a shower. And I had particularly wanted a hotel with a gym, but quite frankly the gym at this hotel was a bit of a waste of space...no cross trainer, and well worn and out of date equipment. And you had to fiddle about trying to find a member of staff to give one access! However the reception staff were lovely...but I found the other staff (porters) not so friendly!

Apollo Hotel is a very good hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is relatively clean, the room we were in is spacious, the breakfast is plentiful and varied. Public transport (which is very efficient and also cheap) is just in front of the hotel, whoever wants to use it. On the whole, it was great and will definitely recommend it.

Excellent!

We had an excellent stay, extremely clean, helpful staff and a warm welcome when passing through reception. Could not fault the place!! We’ve already said if we go back to Slovakia, we will be staying here again!

Well-located - not in the centre but great bus links. Breakfast was great (especially as it was included in the price!). The room and bathroom were also ideal - clean and comfortable, with all the necessities, and no noticeable noise.

There were a few areas of the hotel which were being done up/repaired, but I think this was reflected in the price so I’ve got no complaints at all. There was also one lift out of order, which was a minor inconvenience but again, it was a fantastic stay for the price paid and I would t hesitate to revisit.

Also a HUGE thank you to the lovely staff, who managed to retrieve an item I left in the safe after checking out, and held it at reception until I was able to come back for it. Can’t thank them enough!!
