We were not satisfied with our stay. The reception did not respond to emails at all. We had small children and needed a cot. There was none. Everything was old, the doors did not close, it practically rained with the air conditioning. Terrible beds, ants everywhere. Even though they knew we had small children, we were accommodated on the hill in the bungalow furthest from the reception. The description of the accommodation is misleading. The beach is much further than stated when they accommodate you at the end of the world. The positive thing was that the bungalow was spacious. The bar was closed in the high season.

Bed was rock hard like one is sleeping on a sheet of Granite.

When making inquiries at the front office nobody knew what we were saying and when our requests were acknowledged they were not followed through, ie room needs a good cleaning as it had dirty floors with a pop can under the bed when we arrived.

Wasp nest by the shower at the pool was shown to staff and nothing done about it.

One cabin up the hill had garbage underneath the house, very unkept looking/feel.

There was an aggressive family of monkeys that went “trick or treating” every morning from cabin to cabin.

Not enough chairs to sit on at the pool area for the amount of guests using the facility.

Good value accomadation on an expensive island

the bungalow that we had was vert spacious and had everything you need and was very clean, but somehow the place feels a bit soulless compared to may other places that we have stopped at in Asia.

The pool is right next to a busy road so can be quite noisy at times, but if you walk up through the resort, at the top of the hill you will find another pool which I am not sure belongs to this complex, but is much more beautiful and serene and quite a few people besides ourselves were using this to relax in

This property is in a good position close to the beach, shops, restaurants etc. The rooms are well set out and private. The staff were polite and helpful. My only criticism is the air conditioners were very old and needed the filters replacing or at the least cleaning as they made the rooms smell musty and unhealthy.
overall good value for the money.

Reviews of hotels in Koh Lanta in the price range and area we were looking at all seemed quite similar, so I wasn't expecting much and it met my expectations. Room were basically furnished, power only worked when you had the key in the holder, so room was stuffy and hot after you had been out for a while. Got a few bugs in the bathroom also (through the extractor fan I think) so we had to keep door closed. We had a back balcony but sign on the door said out of order?!

We were in room 104, towards front of resort. This used to be called the Lanta Garden Hill resort, and I went for a walkabout and up the hill it keeps going and there seem to be some refurbishment on many of the back units, and also another pool. We didn't use it though as the walk there was up a steep hill and would have gotten all sweaty getting back :)

Pool could do with a paint and some nicer/newer furniture, it had a good amount of shade though, and pool was nice to use (previous hotel had a warm pool).

We hired scooters for 200BHT/day, that was good and easy. Breakfast was disappointing, coffee wasn't great, often things ran out and you had to wait for ages before the one random person topped up with a few more eggs etc, one day there was no milk for the cereal. But lots of other options close by. About a 4-5min walk to beach next to 7-Eleven.

Also hung washing out on the balcony and got asked to remove it. Not sure why. Restaurant The Grill onsite, but we didn't try.

Our stay at Lanta Manda was very disappointing! The bathroom was stinking, we had a mouse in our room, service didn’t understand us - only one of them speaks a bit english. It was very loud in the evening/ night (parties from the street).
We would not recommend this hotel

It was ok, quite a hike to the rooms at the back. Room was clean and a big bed.
Air con was very noisy.
Shower was below average.
Breakfast was very below average.
Pool smelled like bleach or has far too much chlorine in it.

Peaceful, quiet, cozy bungalows

We loved having our own little bungalow at Lanta Manda! They cleaned our room everyday and replaced the towels or sheets as needed. The front desk staff was very friendly, courteous, and super helpful, willing to help us book ferries and trips but didn't push anything on us. We were a 2 minute easy walk to the beach, it was so peaceful being away from the beach and crowds and made our resort even more exclusive because we didn't have random people from the beach coming in. There were two pools for us to use and they were both gorgeous. The bathroom was huge and the water pressure and temperature was perfect. Wifi was fast and strong. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on site because there were so many right nearby that we wanted to try that had amazing reviews. We were very sad to leave Koh Lanta and Lanta Manda in particular, we hope to back back someday!

Lanta Manda (and staff!) made our week!

The Lanta Manda made our week a very rememberable one apart from the chalets being clean and well fitted (wonderful pillows for example!) the staff and the hotel manager are really friendly and take that extra step (without asking for it!) to make their guests happy.

From buying our son pencils and markers so that he could draw, till a birthday present when they found out it was his birthday, we'll never forget this place and hope to someday come back for another week of stress free lazying around the pool with our son.

I would highly recommend this this resort and this area of Koh Lanta loads of bars to chose from *more than in Saladan!*, a great choice of restaurants, something for everybody and if you're travelling with kids, check out Patty's secret garden.. filled with toys, parents get some time for themselves ... :)

Stinkin bathroom

If your mobility isn't great then this place is not for you. All the rooms are located up a long hill and there are no mini carts to take you from the entrance to your room which I feel is a requirement. The staff don't speak great english. However the rooms are nice and comfortable, only thing that lets it down is the bathroom, it smells so bad and isn't as clean as the bedroom. The decor should be a lot nicer as the bedroom is good.
Don't pay for the breakfast it's awful and a rip off, just different types of egg. There are restaurants near by which are nicer and cheaper.

Nice hotel near to Long beach

We stayed at Lanta Manda in Aug, so low season, and it was just perfect: calm, perfect weather -it was sunny almost all week, staff very welcoming. Although lot of activities or stores are closed at low season, still all convenient restos, stores, etc. are close by and just waiting for you! The hotel room is simple but comfortable, and the bungalow is quite big (bed is quite very firm). Bathroom is very simple but hot water and toiletries available. The beach is 5 mins walk, cross the street and via a passage near the 7 eleven store. I recommend the 'Patty secret garden', resto near the hotel, to enjoy a very pleasant ambiance, great mango juice/shake, delicious green curry and pineapple fried rice!
You can rent a motorbike at the hotel and visit the island and all the beautiful beaches. We also booked a 4-islands tour via the hotel and it was amazing (long trail boat as speedboat not working in low season)!
Enjoy your stay at Ko Lanta!

Good base to explore Koh Lanta

Good size cottages, with separate shower partition in bathroom and aircon. Walk down the road and cut through Dive&Relax to Long beach rather than going along the road access.
Negative start to our stay as we Initially arranged pickup by hotel tuktuk from pier, however this failed to show up so we took a shared one.

Pros: Large, clean rooms w/ fridge, electric kettle etc. Nice porch and large bed. Well functioning AC.Cons: Weird men hanging out behind the bungalows at night. Service was not very friendly. The pool had really strong chemicals. Also, there are better beaches further south of the island.

Great for a couple's relaxation!

was as advertised, a small cabin style house in the jungle and close to the beach. pool was clean and pleasant. also close to good food and beaches. very minimalist, but in a good way. the wifi was fast and consistent so i could be away and stay in touch with the world.
after a few days the A/C stopped working, so they gave us another key to move in next door, no problems! great location, GREAT price, i would definitely stay again!
almost forgot, im not sure if it was an option (did not ask), but if you can choose 1 large bed instead of two beds pushed together, it will greatly enhance the experience :) after a few days, our beds kept separating and causing funny problems ;)

not suitable for people with walking difficulties

We booked a deluxe bungalow but had to settle for an old one as the complex is on a really steep site and the deluxe ones are at the top of an impossibly steep hill for anyone but the fittest. The old bungalows are awful, and the pool area is dirty and unkempt. Also the beds around the pool at the top of the complex were all broken. The new bungalows are however lovely and a solution is to hire a scooter, or a tuk tuk to climb the hill. We realised this too late and as we were only there for 3 nts decided to make do.

Good location near the beach and close to lots of eating places and bars and a good fruit stall. The staff were friendly but the air con unit in our room didn't work properly and it dripped water all over the floor. We didn't get clean towels once in five days. Nice pool, would be great for kids.

The Lanta Manta hotel - basic bungalow near beach

Affordable bungalow with semi-good value for the money. Pool area is small but the beach is only a short walk away (~150m). The bathroom/toilet could have been better cleaned, but it was still decent. The breakfast includes basics: french toast, eggs, toast, muesli, fruit, coffee, tea.

in front ,not new... but everything works , nice beds and quiet rooms ... the air condition makes off course some noise , continental breakfast from 07.00 , no other food ... but plenty off food places around , nice small pool area , very helpful staff .
Hotel is within walking distance from beach , but we recommend to hire a scooter to easy get around.
but don't drive after dark , if you are not experienced

Okej men inte mer. Mysiga stugor men tyvärr ganska eftersatta. En ägare som skulle behöva gå en kurs i hur man bemöter gäster. Vår AC funkade knappt alls men efter några dagars diskussion installerades en ny. Små myror hade vi ständigt besök av. Bra poolområde men tyvärr problem med reningen så den var avstängd ibland. Kan bli en toppenställe om dom satsar lite och fixar till saker.

Vi fick frågan om vi hade några särskilda önskemål, varefter vi svarade att vi önskade ett rum med fin utsikt från vår balkong.

Vi fick ett rum på bottenvåningen, utan balkong (men med en liten terrass) med utsikt in i en tre meter hög vägg.

Vi bad om sen utcheckning, vilket förklarades vara omöjligt, trots att det fanns flera lediga rum. Och trots att vi förklarade att vi gärna betalade extra.

Bra mycket prisvärt boende.

Prisvärt boende bra planerad bungalow. Badrummet välplanerat med kaklad vägg och nedsänkning mellan dusch o resten av badrummet; gjorde att duschvattnet stannade där det skulle😊 Rejält stor dubbelsäng med en hel madrass och ett stort täcke vilket i alla fall vi gillar. Rent och fräscht. Storstäd var 3:e-4:e dag med byte av lakan o handdukar; dessemellan tömning av papperskorgar och påfyllning av vatten och te/kaffe varje dag. Fullt tillräckligt! Det vi saknade var sänglampor; fanns endast spottar i taket. Låg i en backe så en fick lite motion varje dag men det är ju bara bra... Fanns en pool som såg fin ut men som vi aldrig använde. Testade inte heller hotellrestaurangen The Grill vars meny var lite för ”västerländsk” för vår smak och saknade helvegetariskt alternativ.

Reception könnte freundlicher und hilfsbereiter sein. Sonst Leute in Koh Lanta allesamt super nett und symphatsch. Bungalows sind gross und sauber. Nur ca.8min. zum nächsten Strand. Sehr Ruhig, da es an einem Hügel liegt. Wer nicht unbedingt ein Strandbungalow will und Ruhe sucht ist hier richtig. Uns haben 2Nächte gereicht, da wir sowiso einen Stradbungalow bevorzugen. Alles in Allem GUT.

Schöne Bungalow Anlage

Wir haben ein Bungalow mit Frühstück für 17 Tage gebucht. Das Ein- und Auschecken erfolgte schnell und völlig problemlos. Zu unserem Bungalow sind wir mit dem Hoteleigenem Fahrzeug gebracht worden. Die Anlage ist als Bungalow Allee konzipiert und ist auf einem sanften Hang plaziert.
Alle Bungalows sind großzügig geschnitten, haben eine schöne, möblierte, überdachte Terrasse. Das Badezimmer mit einem klar abgetrennten Duschbereich biettet genug Platz.
Der Wohnraum ist ziemlich groß, das Bett sehr bequem, die Ablageflächen reichlich vorhanden.
Im Vergleich zu vielen andern Hotels eine besonders ergonomische Positionierung des Safes. Die Handtücher weren täglich gewächselt, die Bettwäsche nach Wunsch. Zu dem 3 Kilometer langen, schönen und sauberen Long Beach etwa 10 Minuten Fußweg. Direkt vor dem Hotel findet man einen seven-eleven Laden, ca. 100 Meter links vom Hotel ein Restaurant mit einer kleinen Beckerei, sonst etliche Restaurants und klene lokale Geschäfte in Hülle und Fülle.
Der gesamte südliche Long Beach Abschnitt wirkt noch vergleichsweise autenthisch thailändisch, keine Banken, Versicherungen und sonstige Betonklötze. Der Strand selbst wirkt noch ziemlich ursprüglich, die Strandhotels und Anlagen sind sanft in die Gesamtlandschaft integriert. Auf dem Strand viele kleine Bars. Besonders romantisch wirkte auf uns Sun Sunset Bar mit einem sehr leckeren Pad Thai Gericht
und einem wunderbaren Mojito.

Pääpiirteittäin oikein mukava kokemus. Huone aika vanha ja kulunut, mutta perus siisti kuitenkin. Suurempia äänieristyksiä ei ollut, joten kaikki äänet kuului sisälle huoneistoon. Sängyt olivat tosi kovat ja patjojen jouset tuntuivat läpi, mutta muuten kaikki toimi hyvin!

Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Uima-allas oli siisti. Kauppoja ja ravintoloita lähellä. Mopovuokraus onnistuu jättämällä passi hotellille. Viihtyisä ja hiljainen hotelli.

Ideaal hotel voor kleine kinderen

Wij verbleven hier net na nieuwjaar. Het hotel is ideaal voor kleine kinderen en zit dan ook vol met gezinnen. Het personeel is vriendelijk maar blijft eerder op de achtergrond. Alle vrijstaande huisjes liggen aan een verkeersvrije weg met een stukje tuin voor en hebben een ruim terras vooraan met licht waarop je 's avonds nog wat kan napraten terwijl je kindje slaapt. Beneden aan de verkeersvrije weg ligt een groot en ruim restaurant (hoort niet bij het hotel maar dat kun je niet zien) met heel lekker Thais en Westers eten en veel grote en kleine gloednieuwe kinderspeeltuigen (glijbaan, schommel, tuinhuisje, grote bakken speelgoed, alles op zachte matten ...) waarin de kinderen kunnen spelen terwijl de ouders rustig eten. Het personeel is er supervriendelijk en dol op kinderen. In het restaurant hebben ze kinderstoeltjes van Ikea. Opgelet, bij het ontbijt van het hotel hebben ze geen kinderstoeltjes. Schuin over het hotel (met een vrij drukke weg tussen waar kinderen niet alleen op mogen) ligt een 7-Eleven en een plaatselijk hospitaal, en naast de 7-Eleven is een goed uitgeruste apotheek met een apotheker die goed Engels praat en deskundig advies geeft voor alle mogelijke vakantiekwaaltjes. Het hotel heeft twee zwembaden, een beneden dat ideaal is voor kleine kinderen en een boven dat eerder geschikt is om te zonnen en baantjes te trekken. De wifi in onze kamer (nr. 123) was sterk genoeg om probleemloos Netflix te kijken.

Hotel propre et sobre. Salle de bains et linge de toilette vétustes avec des bestioles qui remontent par la bouche d'evacuation. À 10 mn à pied d'une belle plage. Pour ceux qui recherche le calme car loin de Ban Saladan (plus animé) à pied. Restaurant le \"Red Snapper\", excellent à proximité et d'autres très corrects.
Petite piscine bien entretenue.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is great. The pools are both nice, but could be cleaner and have better furniture, e.g. more umbrellas and side tables. The cabins are cute but quite basic. I think this is reflected in the price, as they are pretty reasonable. The furniture was quite dated, and the sheets and towels should be replaced as they were very stained. Don't stay here if you don't like insects or lizards! The cabins are not well sealed so lizards and grasshoppers kept coming in. The breakfast was pretty good.

Hotel à recommander

Hotel constitué de bungalows avec terrasse. Sommes restés quatre nuits. Les chambres ne sont pas un exemple de modernité mais tout est parfaitement propre et fonctionnel. Le plus de cet hotel est qu'il possède deux piscines.
Location de scooters (indispensable) à la reception et pour terminer très bon accueil.
Je recommanderais.

不错的体验

总体还不错，独立式的小别墅给人豪华的感觉，在大门旁边的游泳池有点小，而且没有海滩有点可惜的呢。外面马路两边有吃喝的店，比较方便，可是活动范围较小哦。

整体来说，酒店真心是可以的，山顶的泳池是我的最爱，酒店出门就是七十一，很方便，酒店内部环境挺优雅的，缺点，房间东西确实如大家说，有点陈旧简陋了，我住的是112房间，自来水居然是黄色的，插座又烂的

Alleen geschikt voor joggers.De huisjes schoon.

De huisjes lagen aan een hele stijle weg,was te hoog en stijl.De manager was bij aankomst zeer onvriendelijk.Er was niets te koop,en de ijskast was leeg.

Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung

Insgesamt in Ordnung aber durchaus etwas renovierungsbedürftig.Hatten kleinere techn. Problemchen WC undicht, Kein TV Empfang wurde aber behoben.
Team sehr freundlich.
Frühstück sehr gut.

Also insgesamt trotzdem zu empfehlen da
Preis/Leistung stimmt.
