Great hotel for those who want to lounge by pool with kids. Safe as lifeguard on site. Good drinks selection. Not so great if wanting to walk to beach as hot and one hour walk easy there and back. Also the shuttle is far too small to take us to beach. Has to wait 30 mins each way.

Getting a taxi to the airport was very easy, getting a taxi at any other time you need to book ahead or prepare to wait. There’s a shuttle at 10am and 5pm that the hotel run to Paguera, it’s a shame it’s only twice a day. So would recommend a hire car if spending longer than a few days here.

Suite was fantastic. Breakfast was really good. That said, a five star hotel should serve real orange juice not the one from concentrate. Staff and service were a bit robotic and not personable enough. It took a very long time for us to get our luggages which was a problem in a huge facility on a hill. The hotel has a lot of potential but it is not operating at its full potential. Outside the rooms, the grounds feel a bit tired.

I stayed for 8 nights with my daughters. Our room was spacious with a balcony and beautiful view! Upon our arrival Jaime greeted us, his level of customer service was top notch! Breakfast was included with our stay, I highly recommend that option as the buffet is incredible. Their dinner buffet is also outstanding! The one thing we would have liked was for the pool to remain open to at least 8pm- as it gets dark really late in Mallorca returning from the calas around 7-7:30 my girls would have liked a quick dip in the pool but it closes at 7:30. Other than that the hotel is excellent I highly recommend it!

This property was very nice and clean. I like how secluded it was in its own quiet tucked away hillside road. The view from the property was remarkable. The staff were very nice and professional. The rooms were clean and had tons of space to move around. The onsite amenities were wonderful, and I plan on going back soon so I can enjoy them all.

Very Nice Stay

Overall really enjoyed our stay at Hilton. The grounds and views of the property were very nice. The pool may look small but was not crowded so was very nice. Minor point about beds when you get in and get out they do squeak a little which can be little annoying while heading to bathroom at night but really minor point.

We had issues at check in and once reported to front office manager Francine she really helped us out and made our stay very special and dealt with our concerns. Additionally, Netty and Irene were wonderful and ensured we had a stress free stay. Irene in particular made our breakfast visit very special which made our stay very memorable.

We had a family room on and it was a good size space with a separate living room. The bed was comfortable but some of the fixtures and fittings needed some attention. We stayed on a DBB basis and the choice and quality of the food was good. The hotel was clean but felt a little dated in areas. It is up on the top of the hill so not particularly accessible to other areas of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the air conditioning whilst we were there. I give it a solid 7/10.

Pool was well maintained, food was awesome, room was great. Only suggestions would be ... you should clean curtains in room and clean balcony floors. Front desk staff should be relieved every couple hours for personal hygiene reasons. They should freshen up as they speak to clients all day. Otherwise i loved my stay!

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful; you feel appreciated. The area is perfect since it’s close to a beach and many calas. The breakfast buffet was also great and my son loved everything there. We had a great wonderful time and will definitely come back!

Excellent hotel with great staff and rooms. ONLY one issue!!!

On our last day there was a faulty fire alarm that went on for almost 45mins TWICE!!! In our room. With a one year baby at 2am this was not great. Considering we had to leave for the airport at 8am. With the flashing safety light going all night.

It’s like eating a delicious meal and than biting on a rock right at the end. Very unpleasant.

We stayed in a suite which was very spacious with private garden area, 2 large tvs which didn’t have many channels and only news channels that spoke English.

Bed was comfortable, pool areas very nice and staff very helpful.

Breakfast was not the best, I would recommend waiting until they put fresh cooked out otherwise eggs etc are cold.

Evening food was nice with a great view.

Fab hotel!

A lovely place to stay, felt like the riviera! Great pool and our family suite was perfect.
Stayed half board and the food was fresh and plentiful. Only gripe would be that there was no water provided with dinner, you were charged for it which I think is a bit unfair.
You cannot walk into the town so car hire is a must or the hotel run a shuttle once an hour I think.
Staff were always smiling and lovely.
We would return!

La verdad un poco molesto que despues de una estancia de 1 semana no me quisieran ayudar con un late check out, nisiquiera la posibilidad de quedarme 30 minutos mas. A bit away from the airport but in a really great area. Very quiet, clean and the staff were excellent. There is a good beach about 2 kilometers or so away in the next town. I believe they have a shuttle that goes there but we had a rental car and it was really easy to get to. Breakfast was great and the evening buffet was as well but a bit on the expensive side but worth it if you are hungry. I would recommend this place.

I stayed at the Hilton this week (6-9 th June) having booked on the basis of the profile and great experience in the Hilton Tulum I seemed a great option.
I booked a suite, upon arrival there was only 1 member of staff (11pm) and I was asked to find / make my own way to the room. In a vast building that was not a great start.
The room, a suite was dreadful. Located in the lighthouse building on floor 5. It was pitch black, no natural light, balcony was covered in moss and sludge with waste water running on to it. Despite asking to be moved I was offered a same suite or downgraded to standard room. Ironically the standard room was far nice with a great view towards the bay. However, Hilton refused to credit me for downgrading from a suite to standard.
Good in general is also very, very basic. Rude staff in the restaurant who told me to leave for wearing flip flops (despite guests walking round in sandals - clearly no sense in the rules). Food standard was also dreadful. For a 5 star property it was more like a basic buffet or harvester in the uk.
The property is not 5 star, it’s very old and dated. Lovely swimming pool area and views from the pool side I would say. However, if you’re expecting 5 star it is more 3 plus.

Beware if booking and seeking luxury, it is not luxury at all. Also prepare for pretty bang ordinary service. Shame as this really had influenced my decision not to use Hilton again.

I like Galatzo!

The first I visited Galatzo was in 1977 where tipical of Europian traditional style Hotel. At that time,
it adopted a course menu in Dinner and all waiters weared tuxedo. Guests also weared suits every single time.
Today, it changed to buffet style and guests weared casual. Time goes on!
The number of employee is not so many so that you may not expect excellent services.
But anyway, the Hotel was quiet, magnificent scenery and good atmosphere.
I like Galatzo very much.
Since the Hotel location is isolated, I recomend you to use a car-rental.

Huge hotel with no character

Firstly avoid this part of the island and go further East as it has completely lost its charm due to the over building in the area. The hotel was perched on the top of the hill and without a car it would have been a nightmare. The hotel in itself is massive with no character. Everything is over priced. 80% of the clientele is German and rude. Sunbeds are booked from 7.00 am although it id not allowed to do that. The hotel management prefer to keep a close eye unfortunately so forget about enjoying the pools. The breakfast buffet is boring, very limited and the same everyday. Fake grass seems to be in high fashion throughout the hotel! Am overall very disappointing experience. Avoid that place.

A fantastic hotel - perfect if you are looking to get away from it all and truly relax. Spectacular views of the coastline and beautiful grounds. We could not fault the staff who were so helpful and the food was excellent.

However, a few very basic things could have improved our experience, and unfortunately judging from other reviews, they are common problems… The management really needs to address these issues:

1. Soft drinks are extortionately expensive. 5 euros for water and 7 euros for a slushie (frozen water!) is far too much, especially when you cannot drink the tap water at the resort, temps are nearing 40 degrees, and there is no shop nearby. Where most of the guests come from, water is free!

2. The hotel was clearly over-booked and there were not enough sunbeds for everyone. We spent the first day of our holiday sitting on chairs. Soon learnt you have to get up before 8am to save a bed or you miss out!

3. I’d carefully selected the room we wanted based on reviews from other guests. Upon arriving we were sent to a completely different room - an Apartsuite in a new purpose-built block at the other end of the resort - boring, soul-less and far from everything. We were told the hotel was fully booked so we’d been 'upgraded' - it was awful frankly and well below our expectations. The following day we were finally moved to the lovely room we’d booked. Fine after that but a disappointing start to the holiday. It seems others had a similar experience...

The room facilities are good / adequate a pleasing sea view from my veranda.
A quiet area and time to relax and enjoy peace and quiet.

The most pleasing thing is the food. I recommend staying for half board it really is worth the extra cost as they serve fresh fish and meat cooked by individual chef in front of you. You do not get the drap of being bored with the menu choices as the menu is slightly different every day. A huge variety of breakfast and dinner choices. Excellent.

I do believe this is a good choice of hotel as it is in a secluded area away from the main hotel area and it has a secondary pool area and also indoor pool facilities. The staff are nice and pleasant.
A nice romantic retreat for lovers or couples.

Exceeded our expectations for the price. Beautiful, immaculately maintained hotel. Great pools, lovely greenery, incredible views and great food. Don't be put off that its not by the beach as the beaches are pretty mass touristy; but if you want to go there the hotel offers a free hourly shuttle anyway. The town is super beach casual, and again very touristy but has everything you need. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Luxury hotel at a really reasonable price! And the massages in the day spa were superb!

Good location only 25 minutes away from Palma airport. Excellent location with views over Med, 2 lovely swimming pools, very good choice of food at breakfast and the evening buffet. We were made most welcome when we checked in and all the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Good value for money.
We wanted a relaxing holiday with guaranteed sunshine and we were not disappointed.

Wonderful hotel with views that will take your breath away! beautiful gardens and pools and plenty of comfy loungers and umbrellas to relax on. Shuttle bus provided seats for 8 people at a time to transport them into Pegeura. Breakfast was amazing, buffet restaurant nice on an evening, I found al la cart restaurant had a limited menu and no vegetarian options. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

We had a great time in this hotel, it looks like lots of really nice families stay here for the summer holidays. The facilities are good but the 'comfort room' was not. I advise avoiding this room & upgrading if you can. The 'comfort room' belongs in a 1 star resort. The reception staff are nice & polite but the waiting staff at the Pool restaurant were not. The wifi (provided by fractals) can take almost 2 hours to get past the landing page (to login) and then it is very very slow, unless not many people are around.

Lovely Hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel has great facilities.
We enjoyed using the gym every day, although it would be nice if there had been drinking water provided every day as it was very hot. We also made use of the tennis courts.
The hotel is on top of a hill and has wonderful views of the sea and the town below.
The gardens were beautiful and well looked after and both pools were lovely. Even though the hotel was very busy we were still able to get sun loungers every day.
We stayed in a superior room which had a large balcony and was in the main building which made getting anywhere very easy.
The staff were always helpful, kind and courteous.
The buffet breakfast is very good and offers a good selection. Personally I didn't enjoy the buffet dinners as it felt a little rushed and wasn't a very relaxing experience. It also would have been good to be able to dine after 9.30
The evening entertainment was mixed and it would have been nice if the bar was open later than 11pm.

Nice hotel to relax at in the off season.

Staff were pleasanr, especially the evening meal restaurant staff. Hotel isolated but if you are driving then the island is all close by. The lower garden needs a lot of attention, not even pleasant to stroll down through. Peguera is a long walk away but is a pretty glum place. Hotel very quiet when I visited in Jan 2012, I would expect it to be a lot busier as the season arrives.
Lack of TV channels for UK interest, news, news and more news.

Great room, very clean and the resort has beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the restaurants all closed the day we arrived or the following day and we were left with little choices but to leave via taxi to a surrounding city for afternoon and evening meals. Wish the hotel would have been up front about that and let us know that during our stay there would be no food choices. They waited until we were looking for places to eat on the resort to mention that. Would have only taken a quick email especially since we were booked there for 5 days with kids and had booked 6 weeks in advance of our stay. Would not recommend the hotel based on that.

Galatzo Hotel

The Galatzo Hotel was a wonderful stay. We were given a beautiful room with ocean view on the 7th floor and it was perfect. The hotel is located outside of Paguera (small town) and they offered shuttle service but we walked into town a 20 min stroll. Hotel was quiet, private and very pretty. Staff were very nice and accommodating to our requests. Our flight was late afternoon so after checkout they held our bags and we got to use the pool and shower services in the spa complementary. The Halfboard deal was great, the breakfast and dinner offer was very good and great selection. Beautiful views. I went with a friend but would be great for family or couples trips very private. Gym was great too. Wine and Sangria great.

You go there because of the fantastic outside facilities: spacious garden-like grounds, various pools, chillout areas, andgreat views of the coastline. The room, even though it had seaview, left much to be desired: the bed was too narrow and the room had stains.

Despite their inability to provide clean glasses for orange juice we recommend the breakfast buffet as it offered an excellent range of options and good quality food. The omelettes and crepes need a heating plate.

From walking into the hotel to leaving we were treated like kings.

We were celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary, we honeymooned in a hotel in C'an Pastilla

but decided that a quieter location would be better. We found the most idyllic location here at the Galaxo Hotel. The staff could not do enough to make our short stay most enjoyable.Nothing was to much trouble. The gardens were beautifully kept and the views were amazing looking over the Mediterranean Sea.

The breakfast buffet was delightful, so was the evening buffet, with so much choice and as much as you wanted.

A truly wonderful experience.

This hotel was quite superb, on arrival the staff were welcoming providing a complimentary drink. I can certainly recommend the family rooms which were modern, light and spacious. The surroundings were quiet with good views out onto the mediterranean and the grounds themselves were maintained beautifully. Negatives were minor and did not detract if you can work around them, including the lack of tea and coffee facilities, these should be essential for a family room. The location was a little remote but only a 20-30 minute walk with the kids to Santa Ponsa, a complimentary shuttle bus is provided for travel into Paguera and taxis are generally cheap and abundant. The pool is a little smaller than the photograph makes out through clever use of perspective and the kids activities feel like they are still in development. The breakfast is excellent catering for most diets and cultures, I would recommend half board if the price is reasonable, your a large family or if you plan on eating in the hotel as it can prove expensive in that case. Beer and drinks in the hotel are expensive (very) probably in consideration of the problems in Euroland at the moment but a quick trip to a local supermarket resolves the kids coke and crisps cravings. Outside of the hotel the eateries are varied and plentiful and a family of four can easily eat for half the price of the hotels rates depending on quality of location of course. All in all Expedia have yet to let me down and did not fail here.

Trying to get back again in September!

We absolutely loved this place. We had a junior suite which was great as we had our 2 year old with us and meant we didnt have to tip toe around at night when she was asleep. The hotel was fab, very clean, pool was great, not too busy, food was excellent (especially breakfast- put on at least half a stone!). staff on the whole were very welcoming, accomodating and helpful, great having the free shuttle bus to the beach. We cannot wait to go again although am going to have to be careful as i have told that manay people at work who now want to go i could end up looking at my office over breakfast. Had a number of chats with the manager who was great and was realy keen to get our feedback

Blue waters in Paguera-Mallorca, Spain

Staff was vert friendly, a hotel shuttle was offered to and from the beach down side was the last pick up from the beach was at 5pm. the rooms were very clean. All room service was great. The drinks were delicious. Spa area was beautiful and relaxing.

Wonderful garden and pools. Kitchen not 5 stars

This was our first holiday in this hotel. It is a 5 star wonderful property, a bit alone in the woods, and no easy access to beach or village. But the place in itself is very good, with a wonderful garden and 2 nice pools. The staff were excellent and the room was clean. We had half board. The breakfast was nice and well prepared. The buffe dinners were under the standard we expected at this level and also under the standard from the 4 star hotel we came from in Palma the week before. The last 2 days we had to accept a la carte because of few guests. The restaurant dinner we would rate 4 stars.

This was our second holiday in this hotel. we found it was a bit tired compared to last year. Mostly the bathroom. The staff were excellent except for the lady who cleans the rooms who was very rude. The room was not clean by any means. Very dusty, dirty floors etc. The breakfast and dinner were excellent as were the rest of the staff.

Bel hôtel bien situé mais cafards en chambre ...

Bon séjour dans l ensemble mais des points à améliorer qui sont inadmissibles dans un hôtel luxueux.
Les points forts : piscines, parking, calme et localisation
Les points noirs : des cafards plein la chambre tous les jours, dans le lit et les rideaux car il n' y a pas de seuil de porte . Le ménage n' était également pas fait 2 jours sur 3 alors que nous partions toute la journée. Climatisation non allumée à l' arrivée.
Personnel agréable mais pas très concerné par les problèmes rencontrés.
Les restaurants ferment trop tôt, le choix est un peu limité ceci étant tout était bon.
Mention spécial au monsieur des bagages à l' entrée absolument adorable
Un bon potentiel mais les cafards en chambre et le ménage non fait ça n' est pas possible.

El hotel está bien aunque ya se ve algo antiguo,
La habitaciones está bien aunque nosotros éramos familia de 4 el sofá cama si no dejaba dormir muy bien . Tuvimos un detalle al salir el último día , las distancias al los cuartos son largas y tienes que pasar por un pasillo de arcos blancos los cuales reducen el paso por los lados me parecen hasta peligrosos mi esposo se pegó en la cabeza muy fuerte pensé que hasta se había desmayado del golpe pues se cayó y yo también con el , deberían de poner algún material que diferencie todo alrededor del arco , no creo que mi esposo haya sido el único en pegarse pues además en altura están bajos..

Leider wurde trotz dreifacher Aufforderung an der Rezeption das Zimmer nicht ordnungsgemäß gereinigt. Die Pasta der Vorgänger lag dennoch im Zimmer.

Die Floskeln mit „Ein Haus dieser Klasse“ lasse ich hier lieber sein.

Dennoch finde ich es nicht angemessen. Vor allem mit kleinen Kindern welche auch am Boden mal krabbeln und sitzen ist es sehr ekelig.

Zusätzlich ist das F&B Angebot nicht wirklich ansprechend.

Frühstück ok. Vor allem weil die Mitarbeiter den Unterschied machen

Roomservice ist eine Frechheit mit 75 € delivery charge.

Abendessen gibt es eine Tapas Bar mit 8 Gerichten davon sind dann auch noch zwei aus.

Wir werden dieses Hotel definitiv nicht mehr buchen.
