We have just come back from jarden del mar with family its end of season and they still kept it all running smoothly rooms are tired and need a little modernisation but are clean and towels changed often. Pool and all other amenities were fantastic will definitely be back !!!

I paid for Seaview apartment wen i arrived i was told there were none they put myself dad and special needs daughter in a pokey one on ground floor which had cockroaches they then moved us up to Seaview they dont cater shower wise for edley people or special needs hotel.com told me last check in was 12pm so i had to change my flights which was false they stay open all night for check in overall staff were very kind not a place to stay if your looking for calm hoilday

We stayed for a week at this resort and the limited pool access was pretty strange for a resort. Pool and indoor pool closes at 7 pm every night. Breakfast is the same everyday and isn’t all that great, the coffee is inconsistent too (sometimes there is milk other times there isn’t.) the key system: there’s two keys on one hook and these keys are in inseparable - so if you want to leave the room you’ll have to turn the electricity off from the electric key. This wouldn’t be a big deal if weren’t coming back to a really hot room every day. The AC system is barely blowing any air. Also make sure you don’t end up on a room far from the wifi because anything below floor 3 has limited wifi access. Other than those things, the staff was nice and accommodated as much as they could which we really appreciated.

Our stay was for 2 weeks,The hotel was fine,comfortable beds,good showers and quiet at night time,good location central to everything, nice pool and bar area around pool .The only issue was the ladder’s for entering the pool were missing a rubber gripping mat making it unsafe and difficult to enter and exit, and numerous people had the same issue . The restaurant food was good, staff were very friendly and helpful, and they also had events daily for guests both children and adults which was very good and the staff responsible for them were very helpful and good fun.

Autumn short bargain break in the sun

Great welcome when checking in, room clean and well equipped, with a sunny balcony with a great sea view.

Kettle, toaster and even a tea pot provided.

Pool area spacious clean, plenty of sun loungers.

Hotel is perfectly located with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. It was fairly quiet when we stayed in October, but guess it will be quite noisy in high season.

The hotel is quite dated but well maintained and excellent value for money.

The hotel is well staffed and all staff including cleaners, reception and bar staff very helpful.
The property and rooms are looking dated but not dirty. Air con in our room was working but not well, very helpful add ins such as tea towel and washing up liquid soap for washing.
Pool area spotless despite brits constantly trying to get it dirty and the views were fantastic from the rooms over the pool to the cove beyond.
Location lots of great restaurants and handy bars and shops around

We stayed two nights in self catering apartment..very basic quality tho to be fair we paid a very basic price. Our chambermaid however was a delightful.lady.

The location of the hotel is great, the grounds near the sea are nice, but the front of the hotel on the street side is disappointing and hard to know you are in the right place. The hallways leading to the rooms are long, sterile, and aged. The vibe of the hallway is a definite hint that the rooms are equally bad. The room was very out of date. The paint has smudges, the wood had stains, the towels were thin and had threads hanging from them. Most of all, the beds were a complete joke. Two small beds pushed together with outdated bedding. If you sit on them, you hit the bottom support board. My bed was angled slightly, making me feel like I had to hold on while I slept. This was so uncomfortable, we woke up with aches and stiffness. The floor is a better sleep option. We complained to the night staff at the front desk and were told by the two gentlemen working there that there is nothing they could do and we would have to wait until morning to talk to someone about it. We had booked 4 nights, but only stayed the one and checked out with no guarantee of our money being refunded. We are still waiting to see if we will get a refund. The morning staff did try to accommodate us by offering us another room, but I couldn't face even trying. I can not imagine this place having a better situation.

Hotel was beautiful. The apartments aren't very big. Upon check-in we had to upgrade to a seaview and request a bigger room as there was 4 in our party and nowhere in the standard room to put the extra roll out bed. The apartment would have been fine for a few days but not a week.

the room was well laid out had a great view of the sea. The reception staff were ok but not exactly welcoming on our arrival. The biggest disappointment was the swimming pool. It was far too small and crowded for a hotel of this size. There was a \"life guard\" on duty but he did nothing to stop kids and middle aged men from bombing other swimmers in the pool. This meant that my 8 year old daughter was too scared to use it most of the time we were there. The hotel was clean but the facilities are badly dated and need to be upgraded.

Amazing view of harbor and bay. Walking distance to many great restaurants (recommend “Miami”). Gift shops everywhere and nice beach-15 minute walk. The buffet was satisfactory.

Rooms are very plain and old. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Air conditioning not that great and rooms were very hot at night.
No problem if you’re out and about all day, but not a restful place to sleep.

Rooms were absolutely awful, beds felt like sleeping on concrete and were on wheels so moved every time you breathed. Very basic rooms with no sea view despite specifically booking one. No WiFi, when you left the hotel room there was no electric on so you couldn’t leave anything charging whilst you we’re out. Pool area was lovely very spacious except the pool was so FREEZING no one could even consider getting in. The sun beds were hosed down but we’re not dried off so we’re soaking wet in the morning. Generally not a good hotel and wouldn’t return.

Ideal 3 Star Aparthotel

We booked a self catering 3 star apartment that’s exactly what we got. If your looking for something more then book something else. It is exactly what it advertises and I was pleasantly surprised. Location is ideal, shops, restaurants & two large supermarkets on the doorstep and a nice 10/15 minute walk to the “main bit”.

If I were to list negatives it would be that the outdoor pool is freezing so we were limited to a quick paddle but there was an indoor pool that was perfect so our daughter still got to go swimming. The rooms are a little dated, but if like us your room is just a base that doesn’t really matter.

We were there in April (not easter) so weren’t expecting much in terms of entertainment but there was a mini disco each night that tired our little one out so that was good. The entertainer done well with her small audience.

We paid such a small price for this holiday and were really happy with what we got in return. I would return if looking for a future budget holiday.

Ps try Pacos for dinner down the hill, what a bargain with great food.

This hotel is great for families and groups but I don't feel it was the best place for couples, there is a large outside area and pool but the good thing is there is an indoor pool as well , although quite small it is a good feature to have. The hotel is situated on the top of a hill so it is a fair walk down to the Santa Ponca plaza area which is ok going down but maybe a strain for the elderly to walk back up. I did like the walk but it is not for everybody. Also they start to close a lot of restaurants at this time of year so one to be
Aware of. Overall it was value for money.

Family holiday with a group of 8 including two primary age children. On a half board basis and we found the food excellent in that it suited all tastes especially as three of our party were vegetarians. The children loved the meals. There was entertainment for the children in the evening as well as during the day and the girl who ran this was brilliant. A good sized outdoor pool was well used. Excellent location for us about 600 metres from the centre of Santa Ponsa with easy access to shops and other facilities.. Friendly staff and good accommodation. Would certainly return.

For a 3* hotel it certainly had everything apart from a comfortable bed. It’s a shame as the hotel was spotless in a lovely quiet location. As mentioned previously the bed was probably as hard as any other I have experienced. To be fair to the hotel they did come and put a mattress topper on each bed but they where still to hard. Each morning I got up with a sore back and chest. I think if the hotel changed their beds to softer mattresses the overall rating would improve

Lovely Pleasant Hotel

Amazing location with Restaurants located literally outside. A medical centre and shops within walking distance.
A 5 minute walk to the Square ( check out the Poundstetcher store, run by the most lovely family) and for Bars and live Tribute Bands playing every night.
Taxi stand very close to the Hotel with Magalluf being only 15 mins drive away and Palma 30 mins.
The Hotel has everything from Kids Disco every night to its own Restaurant and events.
I will definitely be going back with my family.

Tiled floors makes for noisy rooms

Hotel is lovely and clean and looks recently refurbished. however rooms could do with having some sort of soundproofing as all floors are tiled it becomes very annoying when people above are dragging table and chairs across the floor either late at night or early morning if some sort of rubber buffers were put of the ends of the legs I'm sure this would help. The pool area was lovely and had plenty of sunbeds.

Awful check in experience tainted whole holiday, felt very unwelcome by ultra rude evening receptionist. Lied to us to tell us they did not have our room. no apology, just repeated we are full and he did not have the room we had booked and paid for...... until expedia called and amazingly our room became available immediately. It was the attitude and lies that upset us. 2 hours of negotiations to get when we paid for. No apology from him or the hotel at all at any point. Awful.

Fab hotel, views and location

Great hotel, great location loved our stay in Santa Ponsa definitely recommend for families, the hotel was fab and backed onto the cove which left another direction to walk to the beach (take swimming shoes) for swimming in the cove. I have 10 year and 14 year old and thought the pools were a little deep even though they can both swim, water was up to their neck, there is a pool for toddlers, lovely clean and well kept by the pool (you do have to be early with your towel on your sunbed or you wont get one). Would definitely love to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel looks good from outside, but is very old and dirty as soon as you get in. Too much noise during night and difficult to sleep. The staff is not flexible at all and makes mistakes all the time. I had to change my room in the middle of my stay because of their mistake.

Arrived at about 10pm. Was given a side room which wasn't great so went to reception staff and asked if we could change. This was not a problem. Reception staff very helpful and we changed next morning to a beautiful front sea view, stunning views! Hotel in an excellent part of Santa Ponsa. Loads of restauarants close by. Beach not far. Hotel clean. Great breakfasts. Pool fab. Sunbed run funny not that we did it very often. All in all, great hotel, staff, area. Would come again!

The most uncomfortable beds ever!

Although rooms ware spacious there is one bedroom with 2 small beds. The other 2 beds are the couch and a very small zedbed! Very uncomfortable is an understatement. When we arrived late at night a family had to move to another hotel as they had paid in advance and were told they had no room! Some staff make you feel like they are doing you a favour and arent helpful. Will go back to Mallorca but definitely won't go back to this hotel.

Disappointing, website stated room with sea view which wasn't the case, also there were 2 adults and 2 children in our party. Room was too small, 1 proper bedroom but sofa bed and camp bed for kids were unacceptable as part of the living room -again this wasn't clear on the website. Also, kids activities were very limited - again website stated darts, table tennis but when we asked about these activities they were apparently broken!!

Family Holiday to Santa Ponsa

The hotel has all what we were looking for, it was clean when we checked in and the sea view is a must.Our stay included full breakfast and mostly consists of baguettes and Full english with unlimited drinks.we enjoyed it.The dinner we tried for one night, it is good athough not mostly my type there is a good selection of dessert though. The area has alot of restaurants and as Southeast Asians we enjoyed Chinese food and my kids loved the piZZA across the road.There is a supermaket near which caters all your needs. The outdoor pool was so cold we were hoping it was atleast heated but the kids did have a few dips in the indoor one its good it was off season if not that pool may be packed.The drinks in the bar we didn't try but it was fairly priced.There is a small pebbly just at the back of the hotel,again it was so nice to dip but not swim. All in all it was a nice stay, the reception most of them are
Polite but i find if you do ask a lot of question they probably don't like that but to be fair they speak good English...the wifi is so slow on the iphone and wouldn't recommend anyone to pay for it and we used our roaming data charges.The area caters so much with British people and as British nationals we are so pleased...all in all a nice stay,would recommend and Santa Ponsa is such a wonderful area...

Stayed at this aparthotel 10th-30th June. This is the third time we have stayed here, once on a half board basis, twice on self catering. The Reception staff are pleasant and helpful, the domestic staff likewise. The view from the full sea view apartments is fantastic. All in all, a very pleasant 3 weeks. We will be back.

Overbooked, moved to a 2 star and no apology!

We booked this hotel along with friends for a 40th birthday. The booking was made 6 months ago, yet when out party arrived they were overbooked and moved all of us to a 2 star property for one night. Made no apology and no attempt to inform us in advance. No interest in the upset or the time wasted.

To make matters worse the rooms were not cleaned for the entire 5 days!

Ruined our break - shocking lack of professionalism, courtesy, honesty and care.

Going Down Hill

This is my 4th Visit over the last 6 years & i can stay it will be my last!
I dont know where to start with my complaints, im not gonna go into all details but overall;
Seaview Rooms are NOT seaview unless your on the 6th or 7th Floor. All other floors obstructed by huge palm trees/Buildings.
You will not be moved room if your bathroom is filled 2 inches deep with water from a leaking celling.
Reception will tell you too 'call back' if you have a problem to which the next person on duty will lie & pass you on to someone else.
The pool area is over full ( Need to have towels on sunbeds @ 8pm or
No beds). Also Alot of children ( i did have children with me but far too many running about for a small pool, its not safe & the lifeguard will sit on his ipad the other end of the pool area).
My past experinces where great but now it seems to have got greedy, filling the hotel to the maxx but not putting anything back into, outdated & overfull.
Overall it works out cheap but not worth it, better to spend a little more & have a much better holiday!
Thats what i will be doing next time!!

Luckily enough my frienda where in villas near by which is where i spent most of my time.

Give it a miss !!

Apartments are basic but have what you need, would be nice to have toiletries refreshed as well as towels but that's a 'nice to have' rather than critical. The location of the apartment is 10/15 mins away from the main Santa Ponsa beach but again, that wasn't an issue for us as the pool was more important & there are many nice restaurants/ cafés within an easy walk.

Nice hotel, beautiful views of the bay.

Beautiful views of Santa ponsa from the hotel. Lots of restaurants and bars close and within walking distance. Enough for the kids to do and we are looking at going back in august or next Easter.

Good Break at Good Price

Really enjoyable short break. The hotel is in a good area with a number of supermarkets and bars nearby. The hotel facilities are good and we found all staff polite and helpful. Pool and community areas are really nice and given we stayed in mid September, there was no issue with sun beds! All in all a really good stay and we would certainly return to this hotel.

Great place to relax

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, the town has like 100 restaurants and shops around, small market across the street of hotel to buy anything. The furnishing of the apartment is a little out dated but fine. The town of Palma is about a 20-25 min drive from this town. There is a public bus that you can take. The taxis station is about 50 meters from the hotel.

Close to beach, beautiful view

It was a lovely place to stay. The apartment was very clean but the bed and pillows were very hard. Hiring hair dryer, toaster and kettle at €2 a day was a bit annoying. However the view from my room on the 6th floor was wonderful.

Great location. Value for money.

The general condition and cleanliness is good. Location is also great.
Gym is practically unexistant - only a couple of machines and they are in poor shape.
Don't understand the idea of the indoor pool as it is closed most of the year, even if the temperatures are too low to use outdoor pool.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

the hotel food was superb, different choices every day, the organisation and service was good. the kitchen was small in the apartment, but ample to prepare snacks, as who wants to spend all day cooking on their holidays. the only thing i can actually complain about is running the gauntlet everday to get a sunbed, you have to start queueing at 8.30 then watch the queue stretch past the lifts, the doors spring open automatically at 9am on the dot, then youre off, people from the back actually knock you out of the way and i got my feet trampled on, but if you dont do the gauntlet you dont get a bed. people actually film from their balconies and its been posted on you tube. other than this it was a fab hotel, lovely location and views, supermarket and spanish square right outside hotel, but no noise on a night very tranquil.

Great Value for Money

Nice hotel in ideal location for families. Apartment was clean and adequate. Towels changed 5 days out of 7 and sheets changed once a week. 2 electric rings and a fridge. If you like a cuppa bring your own travel kettle! TV with ITV1, ITV2 and a BBC channel. Staff friendly and efficient. My toilet broke and was fixed (spare part required) within 20 minutes. The points against: Some overviews mention a safe in the room but they are no longer in use and it costs 15 euro a week to rent a safety deposit box in the reception area, a bit steep I think. Also, gym facilities and a sauna are mentioned as far as I could see these were not in use. There is no entertainment in the hotel itself but the Square is just across the road.

TRH Jardin Del Mar - getting tired - needs refurb

We have used this accommodation on a number of occasions before but rooms are now starting to get tired and are badly in need of refurbishment.
The good news is the rooms are very clean but this does not outweigh the negatives.
To say this is self-catering accommodation the fact the rooms have only two cooking rings does not help. The management now also charge E10 per week to hire a kettle or toaster or hairdryer - that's getting greedy.
We have been going here on and off for the past 12 years but we will be looking for somewhere new next time.

I stayed at the Jardin del Mar last week. We had no hassle all week. The apartments are small but we spent very little time there anyway. Staff are nice and friendly and help you as much as possible. It is only 5 mins walk to the centre of Santa Ponca and it central to the big shopping square. The pool area is busy buy there is a small alcove just below the hotel which is beautiful. Pretty quiet and great for snorkeling. Overall, a great trip and nice hotel.

Some good, some bad points

The hotel has insufficient sunbeds for the number of guests. The pool is far too small. This leads to quite a crowded area.

The hotel itself was average. It is quite well maintained but dont be fooled by their photos. They have photographed a renovated suite, whereas none of the rooms are in the same style. They havent been upgraded.

We went to the beach a to avoid the rush for sundbeds at 9am. The doors to the pool are locked prior to this, and when opened everyone ran to get beds. At 9.01am no sunbeds were ever left. Towels were put on them to reserve them. Then people go away for breakfast and reappear around midday.

The pool closes at 7pm and in july you could sit there for another hour or so.

Other than that the hotel is recommended. Nothing out of the ordinary but no other complaints.

Hotel was ok, really. Good view (we had half car park, half sea veiw). Food was not that great, staff particularly unhelpful and rude. With the Spanish I knew, I asked several questions and queries, and staff responded with rudeness and vague answers. Rooms slightly dated and we specifically asked for a double bed and got twin singles. Staff behind desk said he would get the cleaners to put them together (didnt understand this, but, whatever) but then failed to tell us that they did not work on Sundays. We only stayed for 2 nights so we didnt mind that much, but the correct information would have been fine. Food wasnt too good, we went half board - breakfast was fine but dinner was a complete let down.
We arrived late (midnight) to check in and the staff member who greeted us accidentally took our airport transfer voucher and it wasnt until we were checking out that we realised. We asked another staff member about it and, again, vague answer and did not look through his documents after much hassle. We also wanted information of when our transfer would come pick us up and he was just... completely unhelpful.

Keep Expectations Low

The hotel pool inside & outside was great. The rooms were below average and small. The price is unbeatable but do not expect more than that. No internet in the rooms...and they charge a fee to connect in the lobby. WiFi is free but extremely slow and I mean EXTREMELY slow!! The grocery store is in walking distance as well as local places to eat.

TRH Jardin Del Mar is situated

TRH Jardin Del Mar is situated in the South East of the island, a twenty minute drive to Palma. The Hotel is actually apartments which are furnished with a large double bedroom and a lounge with sofa bed. However, there is good reception service at the front desk with staff who were both courteous and helpful Close to the sea, it is a five minute walk to the beach. There is a large outside swimming pool with bar area close by. Inside, there is a further pool which is particularly good for children. The Hotel was clean and though the apartment was simply furnished it was comfortable. it represented excellent value for money.

TRH Jardin Del Mar - Great location, good value

I recently stayed at the TRH Jardin Del Mar with my boyfriend. We rented a car from the airport, which I would definitely recommend others to do as well. My only complaint was that we were placed in a room with 2 twin beds instead of a 1 full. It wasn't very romantic, and our view from the first floor was blocked by a large tree. However, for the price and vicinity to Palma, it was good value and served its purpose well.

Good deal

Got a good deal which was the reason I booked this hotel. Nice view over the St Ponca bay, good breakfast, evening buffé as expected but not worth the extra Euros. Hotel has got a good location which includes good distances to most things of interest on SW Mallorca.

very basic conveniences, comfortable no way great

was concerned about safety but had absolutely no problems. very basic like most European hotel stays. The windows did not lock, and the door had no security lock. the furniture could use some updating, it was quite old. the bed was comfortable but could use better pillows and blankets. all in all the stay was good for the money spent.
