I would have given 5 Star but front desk personnel were not clear with parking. I was consistently getting charged hourly by error and front desk did not explain the rationale of the errors and were not patient. Customer service was below average and room was not ready by 2pm. I would not reserve this hotel again.

I want to say nice things about this place. It is in a great location and the on-site staff are amazing but it was a rather weak attempt at a 4-star hotel. Before arriving I wrote the company and asked about their TV and wi-fi and whoever answered me gave me totally wrong information. The wi-fi is open so I could have brought my google chrome and cast TV/movies. This would have been useful given that for 2 of the 4 days I was there it was so foggy outside that going out was just not worth the effort. The gym and spa facilities are still closed thanks to COVID (my stay was over the NYE 2022-2023) and the offsite gym is super pricey at 20 euro PER DAY! My room was ok but I have had far better for far less and, it looks and feels a bit outdated.

The hotel is in a great location by the Danube and about 15 minute walk to the old town. We also had a lovely view of the Danube from our hotel room. We arrived by bike and there was plenty of bike storage.

Nice hotel near the Danube and old town

A nice hotel especially if you want to shorten the drive from Salzburg to Vienna. Right at the Danube and old town with parking right at the door (not cheap unless you are from a large American city). Good bar and food and good service. Room/bathroom well outfitted and clean but bathroom a bit tight.

A comfortable spacious room, amd even though we had a \"city view\" we were side on to the river looking downstream west, which I thought was more interesting than the full-on to the river view. The hotel is located in a great position, next to the river, and close by the Contemporary Art Gallery, Ars Electronica, and the main old square is about 10 mins walk. The let down was the bathroom, a bit small, the shower head was low so you had to stoop a bit for it , you couldnt stretch full lemgth in the bath, and although it worked fine, the bath mixer tap was beginning to come off the wall - this should have been noticed and fixed. We felt we had a budget class bathroom in a non-budget hotel.

Great location. The front desk check in is good and efficient. Problem is with a 'voucher' they provide without any information. The front desk provides a 10% voucher for use at the bar/restaurant but what they fail to mention is it can only be used once. No information regarding this is printed on the voucher either. I used it to purchase two beverages and save ~1€, when I was informed of its one time usage. I proceeded from the bar/restaurant to the front desk to inquire, I informed the desk that I was not informed and the circumstances. The response from the employee was less than professional, stated 'sorry, only once' was not willing to provide an additional card and smiled and said have a nice day. I was not pleased with these actions and lack of information or how the whole situation proceeded. So if you stay here, be aware that the voucher is only good one time and the front desk is not forgiving regardless if you were provided the information or not.
Overall, the beds are average, room average, but in a great location.

I travel annually to attend a conference held at the Arcotel. The venue and facilities are excellent. The staff are helpful and were able to assist with all my requests.

I ate breakfast and buffet lunch most days in the Arcotel and the range of foods offered was excellent.

This hotel shouldn't be rated as 4 stars hotel!

The room didn't have a temperature control in it. When I asked about how to increase the heat in the room as it was cold, I was told that it couldn't be done because the rooms' temperature can't be set individually. Had to spend the night in a cold room! This sort of thing is certainly not expected in a supposedly 4-stars hotel!!

Good access & views of Danube but dated decor

We chose the hotel for its location near the Danube trail, old town accessibility by car and parking as well as view of the Danube. The restaurant, bar and outdoor patio were excellent. The room ( a comfort room - ie., the basic) was clean and comfortable but the décor of both the room and lobby was very dated and basic and the room carpet was old.

1. front desk step was quite rude with poor English.
We were expecting more skilful and fluent English speaking step at the front desk as 4 star hotel.

2. We booked two rooms and requested for connecting room because of my children
At the check in, he gave us only one room key even though the booking was combined together, so we thought two rooms are already connected with connecting door opened.
However, the connecting door was closed and room key was only for one room.
I came down to front desk ask him for another room key and open the connecting door.
He seemed quite irritated and said to me I was supposed to tell him to give both room keys at the check-in.

3. I am Expedia gold+ member and it was first time to book hotel after achieving the status.
I expected at least one level upgrade because it was VIP+ hotel.
He just said there are no upgrade possible and no other explanation.
I will never book hotels with Expedia again.

4. We found insects on the table in the room, I guess it was silverfish.
I NEVER expected these kind of bug from 4 star hotel.

I think it's more than enough to speak about my experiences.

No parking nor wifi!!

Did not enjoy our stay here as the room and bed were just ok and the wifi did not work at all as promised. also, they have a huge parking lot that was empty as they charge $20/night to park on it so everyone parked on the street. The price for the hotel we paid ($90) should have included parking. The sauna was nice and hot though.

Just a two night stay we had a river facing room, , breakfast a bit chaotic on the Sunday morning we had to eat in the cafe/bar as so crowded, ok breakfast but felt on the expensive side, as was the evening meal for a pretty ordinary meal but overall the hotel provided everything you would expect and the parking was very convenient with a price reduction made by the hotel.

We enjoyed staying in the hotel. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade to a room a view to the river. Definitely worth it. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The hotel is a short walk away from the city centre. Would recommend staying here when visiting Linz.

The best restaurant

Overall was a very shy + (plus). I think that the hotel needs a restructuration at the Reception desk. The 2 receptionists from the check-in as the 2 ones from check-out (here less) where far away from friendly, \"arrogant\" it's a correct description. Even more I was disappointed to find out that the information from hotels.com \"are not real\" (i'm quoting the receptionists), so my room was not 90, but 93+ and my kingbed actually was 10E more, so overall 103+ (instead of 90). In vain to show them the reservation where was writen the room description and the price. There was no discussions and no understanding from their side. What to do in the evening after a long trip?
The pluses that I'm giving are for the restaurant. The people are on the oposit side as the receptionits: more than frendly and at any point there, to help you no matter what. The food was a very good experience. So, for the restaurant 5x +

The person at the front desk insisted that the price stated by the e.bookers company is relevant for a room with separate beds. I was told that if I want to get a room with combined beds I'll need to add more money!!! I found this demand as an unfair demand. Yet, I had to pay this extra money.

Great location on the banks of the Danube

The hotel overlooks the great river Danube, and you can watch the river cruisers and barges. A river view is worth it. You can also see the ever-changing (colour) Ars Electronic Center, across the water. That is well worth a visit. An early morning jog down the side of the river is good, if you like that sort of thing. I do. And it is within walking distance of the city center and the excellent Linz trams.

The hotel is in a great location on the bank of the Danube, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Looking at previous reviews we expected the rooms to be small which they were but they were more than satisfactory. Two things which let the hotel down were the restaurant menu which had nothing that excited and the waitress couldn't suggest anything! oh and she spilt our wine!! The other moan is having to pay €14 to park the car in an almost empty hotel carpark.

Modern business hotel on the banks of the Danube

My wife and I checked in here for 4 nights, on a pre paid reservation for a city view room (€100 cheaper than a river view). Our 11th floor room faced west and overlooked the Lentos gallery, the Danube, and the Ars Electronica Centre, with a view extending well past the Hauptplatz.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the ensuite bathroom a little cramped by modern standards. The biggest downside was the lack of air conditioning - we saw daily highs in excess of 36C, and walking back to the hotel at 11pm temperatures were still in excess of 30C.

Brits would doubtless welcome the provision of tea & coffee making facilities which were sadly lacking.
We ate in the KE Cafe Bar of the hotel on arrival but thought the meal a touch expensive, but there's not many places with a Danube view. The vast breakfast buffet is €20, but if all you want is a continental breakfast there's a wealth of cafes and bakeries in the area where you can have a reasonable breakfast for about €6-8.

The hotel is well placed for the city centre attractions, and it you choose wisely, you'll eat well in the city of an evening for €20-25 per person incl beer or a glass of wine.

Parking will cost you €14 daily. The public outdoor pool and ice Rink are next door. Lovely walks along the Danube. We'd stay here again - but would pack a travel kettle.

That would be the only fabulous aspect of our stay. The overall price for the hotel was too much for what it was. It is about 10min walk from the center of town.

Good hotel for our one night in Linz

Our hotel room was a comfort room and offered a nice view of the river. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. Free wifi was a nice addition to the room's amenities. Within a 15 minute walk along the riverbank, we were able to visit the major town square and find plenty of restaurant options. The only concern was that it was quite a distance from the main train station (15-20 minutes via public bus) and even further from the Linz airport (additional 30 minute public bus ride). This seems to be necessary, though, if you are looking for a hotel with a good view!

4 star hotel at 3 star prices.

This hotel was recommended by a business partner of mine in Germany that Frequents Linz quite often. I did not expect much because the price was so affordable but once I checked in, I realized that they under sell themselves. The check-in was fast, the upkeep is perfect, the room is well equipped, shade, black-out curtain, flat screen, safe, (no hot water or coffee machine), ultra clean bathrooms. The maid did not accept my pillow tip. The bar is very nice and overlooks the Danube river with a great view looking up at a castle. There is much art work around the lobby and the hotel front/rear. You can enjoy a nice drink outside as well. The restaurant is a white table cloth, high class restaurant. I had one dinner that was probably 4 star and I ended up enjoy too much wine. The breakfasts are 4 star as well.

Nice view of Danube, city

This is an entertainment complex that happens to have a hotel. The room is rather small but quiet and with good curtains. We had excellent views! By car, the hotel is very easy to reach from the highway but the parking is the most expensive I've seen - almost half the room price. We used half-hour free parking, and then looked for a spot in the city, not convenient at all. The bathtub lacks enough anti-slipping bars by US standards. Next to a nice park/riverfront and a 20-minutes pleasant walk to the historical downtown.

Night view was totally unexpected panorama. In the morning warm sunlight brightened the room. Breakfast buffet included was gorgeous to us, looking at the river. There was a private free internet room-you may work on it all day long standing.
