Avoid 7th floor - had to walk 1 flight up from 6th floor as elevator only goes to the 6th not 7th floor. 7th floor feels colder - as it is the top floor and may not be well insulated. Original assigned room on 6th floor - mini fridge not working and no TV in living room

Good check in. Sadly the safe wasn’t working in the room, so we moved to another room and the safe didn’t work in that room either.
There was only one pillow each.
There was no cold water in the room only boiling water as the tap for the cold water wasn’t working.
Reception were very apologetic and gave us a free breakfast.

Art Hotel In Linz is the best value for money.

The Art Hotel was just a happy experience. All the staff were helpful and spoke English. ( great for Aussies who don’t ) Muller the barman. especially , was super keen to please. Over the bridge from the main square was great, nice and peaceful. Not expensive but let’s face it, as tourists we only need a good bed . Too busy out all day and half the night exploring. Especially great if your bike packing or touring. Cheers , Peter and Trish from Canberra , Australia

While the location and property itself is fine, it is in a high standard with artsy feel there is one major shortcoming. Apparently hotel has this weird “policy” whereby they assume guests do not want room cleaned (for staying more than one night) unless they inform the staff they wanted room cleaned or put a “sign” on the door saying you want room cleaned. The front desk agent was not sympathetic and did not understand how ridiculous the policy is. I’m surprised other guests did not mention this weird policy. I hope management will take note of negative review and make changes immediately. Cleaning the room is a major part of a hotel’s job, should not be optional except maybe for apartments or long term stay properties. Most importantly they did not disclose info when checking in and no obvious disclosure in the room, so came as a bit of a shock and surprise.

Nice hotel near central area

Clean, comfortable hotel. Arty and not that practical at times. The bathroom is transparent! It may not be what everyone prefers. Do consider applying a frosting at least so the glass is not totally see-through. Great central location though.

Sadly this arte hotel was a disappointment. Our room was exceedingly hot being in the roof up two flights of stairs with windows facing south. And the air conditioning had failed as had the safe with flat batteries. We changed rooms but still in the attic this time with a shower that slipped down and a floor which turned our new white slippers dirty grey. We had to keep every window open which meant very noisy night and limited sleep. We stayed 2 nights and there was no room cleaning service. Breakfast was ok but no tables were cleared of dirty breakfast stuff. This wasn’t the staffs fault, the place was understaffed. Reception shouted at me that I should have called house cleaning when we got back (at 2200!) and that all of Linz had no air conditioning (not correct as we have found out elsewhere). I think if this was a budget hotel it’s ok. But it’s not at budget prices! Im sad because I like art and designer hotels rather than business chains. But this arte needs some decent management in my opinion.

Located next to Neue Rathaus by the river, easily reached with trams from main railway station. Business suite room was spacious and tidy - more than plenty just for myself. Efficient and friendly staffs, and easily walkable distance to all key sites in central Linz. Recommended.

We stayed 1 night. I had booked a business studio room and was given a handicap room. Not at all romantic and actually quite awkward. Assuming they had no other room. The room was not super clean as in hand prints all over the mirror in the room and the bottom of the shower curtain was all dirty and mildewed. The amenity kit in the washroom was ordinary with only 1 cue tip and the wrapping was opened. Would not stay here again.

An extremely well located hotel only steps across the Danube by bridge or streetcar to the main Plaza with connections to other streetcar lines. Hotel lobby was beautiful, staff were friendly, and the breakfast was elegant and delicious with numerous choices. However, the room was disproportionately small and rather austere in comparison to the elegance of the lobby area. The room was very small, the decor was mostly in white and felt blank, and it was somewhat awkwardly laid out. But generally, this seemed like a good, clean, and friendly hotel in a great location. BTW, the streetcar connections are direct from close to the hotel to the main train station.

Firstly, I would like to commend the hotel's convenient location and the spaciousness of the room, both of which positively impacted my experience. Additionally, I found the breakfast options to be diverse and enjoyable.

However, I have to mention that I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. It wasn't quite up to par.

A good find - very close to the city centre and easy to get about. Secure underground parking was great and the room was large (5th floor) but a few issues with housekeeping as think it had only been set up for one instead of two... reception dealt with it quite quickly. Great coffee machine at breakfast and lots of options to keep you going. Staff were efficient.

Second stay at the Arte Hotel, Linz.

Excellent service from both the check in and housekeeping staff. Room, and bathroom were clean, fresh and well supplied.

We didn’t take breakfast or any other meals at the hotel. Secure car park is under the hotel and is chargeable.

Great hotel. Don't know exactly why but I slept so well throughout my stay. Staff was friendly and the other guests were also really friendly. Spacious room, good car park. Sauna was ok and the fitness room has very basic aerobic machines.

The location of the hotel is across the river from the main square. This was fine for us but maybe less convenient depending on where you want to be in town. The hotel was fine and clean but we found the bed incredibly uncomfortable, it was very hard which I normally don't mind but we had several poor nights sleep. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but serves drinks in the evening in a fairly soulless lobby. Breakfast is available but we went to a bakery around the corner.

In addition to having a new feel, this hotel is quiet. In 7 days I never heard any noise from other rooms or from the hallway, despite that there were other people staying in adjacent rooms.

The only slight negative observation is that the breakfast tomato had been sliced in half too long before I saw them and they were dried out & wrinkled .

Stay here to have restful nights on comfey beds! And the staff keeping the rooms clean are excellent.

Good base for exploring Linz or surrounding areas

We spent 3 nights at the SPITZ hotel, our second visit to the city. We chose this hotel for its location and essential air conditioning. It can be exceptionally warm at this time of the year - averaged 35C when we were last here. Easy walking into the old part of the city, and the hotel is just a 100 metres or so from the nearest bus and tram stops. Underground parking was clean and efficient. Check in was swift. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. We can’t comment on the in hotel dining, as we ate out each evening, and equally took breakfast in the city following an early stroll.

A modern style, friendly hotel

A really nice modern style hotel.
Room is clean, well organized and spacious, with a lot of amneties.
Staff is very friendly and helpfull and available 24 hours.
Quality of breakfast is great and fresh. But might need a bit more variety.
Hotel is close to the center, you only need to walk cross a bridge to be in the center.
I recommend it and will definitly stay there again.

Lovely modern hotel with a great bathroom, powerful shower and well equipped trendy room. Had my own walkout balcony, perfect if you smoke. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and Über professional. Hotel has it's own underground secure car park but there is free on-street parking on Sunday. Had a lovely and quiet stay. Town centre, pubs and clubs only 10-15 minute walk over the main bridge crossing the Danube...nice.

Great Hotel in Linz

I stayed at this hotel for four nights for a business trip. I really liked it. It is just across the river from the main square which makes the hotel central yet also quiet at night. In addition, there is a tram stop just a few yards away from the entrance so very easy to get to from the main station. The room I had was a but quirky but very clean with comfortable beds and a good shower in the bathroom. There are also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room was very quiet and I slept well throughout my stay. The free wifi was brilliant: good signal and very fast, which was useful to me because I was working. Staff are all excellent: friendly without being over the top, polite and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast too, it was continental in style although eggs were cooked to order. Some might complain about the lack of variety but I liked it. The only small downside was that the fitness room was just a couple of exercise bikes, but this is a small complaint. I can't really think of anything else which I was disappointed with. I would stay here again without doubt.

Wonderful staff at a central, designy hotel

The staff was amazingly helpful. We had a lot of requests since we had been traveling for over a month. They helped us find all of the nearby amenities. Some rooms have an odd design featuring a floor-to-ceiling window looking directly into the bathroom. We were initially placed in one of these but were happily moved upon request. Otherwise the hotel was artsy, clean, very modern and designy. The location is central: right across the street from Ars Electronica and a supermarket. The old city center is a very short walk across the bridge, which is also a beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again.

the hotel was much further from the main train station than we thought and because of our late arrival we had to take a cab. Someone had obviously smoked in the bathroom. The bathroom has a window into the bedroom, so be prepared for that - make sure you are very comfortable with your travel companion! There is also a shared balcony with other rooms so make sure the doors are locked.

Wow! Euro slick and modern in the heart of town

Fancy, fancy. Design was dreamy! Super slick. Most we paid for a hotel in a two week stay in Europe, but it fit the bill at the time. We parked out front and fed meter as needed...free night parking on street. Easy access to bridge taking you right into Zentrum.

Stylish hotel with minimalist design sense

Pleasant hotel on a quiet street next to the Neues Rathaus. The hotel obviously underwent a recent conversion into a modern, design conscious accommodation choice in Linz. It is also worth mentioning that it is located less than 5 minutes away from streetcar lines 1 and 2 stops, which was very convenient. The room was on the small side (travelling alone, this wasn't really an issue), quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful and, altogether, the stay was rather pleasant.

Stylish, modern, out of the way. Nice clean room. Small, \"open area\" shower and sink. Free wifi is convenient. Free coffee in room is \"instant\", better to buy a cup at the bar in the lobby.

Not knowing Linz, it seemed well located, but it is on the other side of the river from the pedestrian center, a 7-8 minute walk over a bridge. Not practical in cold windy weather.

Der Herr beim Check in war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe vom Ars Electronics und das Zentrum kann man in ein paar Gehminuten gut erreichen. Frühstück war hervorragend und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

Had room 108 - apartment with king size bed. You can hear absolutely everything happening in neighbouring rooms such as walking, opening and closing of doors and obviously talking. So sleep with earplugs.

Also worth noting is that the bed does not have a top mattress.

Staff attempted to charge payment for the room both at check-in, which is fine, and then again in the morning. I guess confusions happen, but in totality a poor impression.

Värme på rummet blev reglerat via luftkonditionering. Och den anläggningen hade ett högt ljudnivå.
Var dåligt isolerat mot hall, och därför hörde man tydligt när andra gäster kom och gick.
