Our stay here was absolutely amazing. Wonderful staff, breakfast in a beautiful room with a great selection of items and great view. Had a couple of requests that were handled quickly. The pool is warm in the winter and was never too busy. We will definitely be back.

Everyone was so lovely at the hotel. From when we were greeted by Lionel at the gondola station, to the woman at the front desk, all the employees worked hard and were so accommodating. The room was clean and cozy. The dining area had an amazing view of the mountains.

Heaven on earth

Our room was immaculate when checking in and the entire staff was very informative and helpful. The breakfast buffet was everything you would want and more. Our dinner (salmon) was the finest tasting ever had and we eat a great deal of fish.
Lastly, Maria and Joseph our servers and the chef are outstanding!

Murren is a beautiful little town that is perfect for hiking. (we went in the summer) This hotel is located near the train station so the access is easy and it's a short walk from the gondola too. The restaurant is magnificent and the staff super friendly and helpful. There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel, but it should be finished soon. I highly recommend this hotel for a family vacation.

The property have fantastic view of the mountains . Welcome aperetivo for the guests is appreciated . They have a good breakfast and good restaurant for dinner .

The room is pretty big . I think they need to consider air conditioning as we are experiencing climate change everywhere including Switzerland .

The hoteliers service were superb. I think the chained hotels should learn from them. From the moment you reach the station until the day you check out, you felt very warmth, the staffs are attentive and makes you feel very much at home. And they are genuinely happy that you’re staying with them. TBH, I am super glad that managed to book the last room. Thanks Eigerians for giving me an amazing experience for my very first Swiss Alps stay. I will for sure be back someday…. TQVM!

The property is high in the mountains and just lovely. The staff were wonderful, accommodating, helpful and kind. Our luggage was picked up at the train depot and delivered to our room without even asking!! The spa area was beautiful and clean. We at dinner at the hotel 2 nights and the food was superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Well worth the ride up the 'hill' to get there.

Absolutely wonderful experience staying here. From the minute we got off the mountain too train there was a porter waiting who seemed to know we were coming to the hotel! The hotel is lovely inside with lots of places to sit and relax and eat or drink. The pool was a big hit for my kids. Breakfast was perfect. And then of course, the setting and views. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

As we travelled around Europe for the summer, Susanna and staff were the most accommodating people we met. Even with sight tweaks to our schedule, they were very understanding and worked with us. The hospitality was above and beyond. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Pairing a great hotel location and view with great customer service is the best you can get. Definitely returning.

I can't recommend Hotel Eiger enough! I loved the property and the view from the Junior Suite was incredible! There was a convenient golf cart service waiting to pick us up straight off the train to deliver us and our bags to the front doors of the hotel and then up to the room. The staff was all very helpful and friendly throughout the entire stay and we especially enjoyed and appreciated the bartender, Stefan, for his hospitality and birthday wishes (and drinks) for me!

I ate at the restaurant there for my birthday dinner and I will post photos of the meal here. I had the reindeer and we also had the elk. It was all amazing!

This room was beautiful and comfortable and in a great location but what makes this hotel special is the staff. Susanna was so incredibly kind and helpful and even opened the shop which was closed to help me find local honey to take home. She told me exactly where to go for a memorable hike with outstanding views and showed me how to access the web cams at Schilthorn. Did I mention that the views from my hotel room balcony were astounding?!? Thank you so much for the most kindness and best hospitality that I received in all of Switzerland ❤️.

From meeting us at the train to take our luggage our stay at the Hotel Eiger was superb. Waking up to a vision of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau was device.. The staff made us feel at home from the front desk to the welcoming champagne reception, the cozy dining room for dinner and breakfast buffet. I’m comparable Views of the Eiger mountains

From our arrival to departure this was an extraordinarily nice place to stay and the staff was extremely friendly. It is right across from the train station that serves as the only entry into Mürren so aside from walking up stairs is really easy to navigate from the narrow gauge train that runs from the tram stop. The views of the Eiger and its companion mountains is unbelievable, and from our window we also could take in the North face mountains as well. The food was also good. Hiking all around the plateau that overlooks the valley below.

We arrived in beautiful Mürren and popped out of the train station to see the most picturesque town and hotel right before our eyes. The friendly staff checked us in and showed us to our room. The rooms were spacious with big balconies to allow for sitting outside and enjoying the amazing views! The breakfast was included in our rate and it had so many delicious choices and the restaurant looked out over the mountains. The views from the room were unbeatable with a wall of windows. We would stay here again in a minute. We also had access to the amenities, but didn’t take time to enjoy them. The transportation was so convenient no matter where we wanted to go!

Nice full-service hotel up in the mountains

Lovely balcony view of the mountains and mountain-side, but you also have a view of the extremely quiet (almost silent) mountain rail station roof across the way. Request a high floor & look straight out and up at the mountains. Convenient location next to rail. Breakfast included; other restaurants nearby. (There are only 2 streets in town.) Helpful waitress in dining room at the one dinner we ate there.

Murren is a small ski village and this hotel is the first, impressive this you see when you get off the train. The staff of beyond courteous and attentive. The pool is awesome and so is the fact that it houses the only bar in the village open until 2am! Lots of fun!

You should definitely stay here!!

We loved our time here!! We all wished we had planned for more time!! A staff member met us at the train to take our luggage. We got a couple suites which included a large bedroom & a living room as well as two bathrooms. Every interaction with the front desk was great!! Thanks for the para-gliding recommendation! The restaurant manager was wonderful!! We all loved her!! The views were amazing! Thanks for a lovely stay!!!!

Out of the way, but beautiful views

The staff was wonderful and helpful and the room was adequate. Breakfast was great and you won't forget the view. Pool was nice. Be careful with the hotel restaurant...it's a bit pricey. The town of Murren doesn't allow cars and it's a bit of ordeal to get to but it's charming. The town is dead after dark (at least in September)

Fantastic hotel in alpine paradise

We spent two nights in June, which turned out to be the first opening nights of the summer season. Crowds were light because some hotels did not open until later. Both our day hikes (North Face loop and Mountain View trail) were unbelievable! This was the best part of our two weeks in Europe hands down.

Pros:
Comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic views, wonderful breakfast (included), very close to train station.

Cons:
Expensive, located on the edge of town, far from most of the lifts and popular hiking trails (granted, the town is not that big and it's less than 10 minutes walk end-to-end). There is a heated indoor pool, but no jacuzzi, something we craved after long days hiking.

I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing hotel and location. Very clean nice rooms, very attentive staff that made everything about our stay a great experience. No doubt this is the best place to stay in the area. Hotel is located 20 ft from local train stop for resort area, easy to get to from Interlaken (side note: don't stay in Interlaken stay here!) Short walk through town 5-10min to the lift to see the top of the Shilthorn. First day we were there was cloudy at the top so we enjoyed the awesome indoor pool that serves as a great place to spend the day set right in front of the mountains and also did some shopping in the local stores. We ate a few times in restaurant, great food, great service, great breakfast included as well. Best stay in the mountains we've had to date, Thank you for everything, we'll be back!

The perfect place to stay.

Perfect weather. The hotel is immediately opposite the exit from the station and so very easy to find. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was great and the view from the balcony was spectacular. I really enjoyed the pool after a day of hiking and the sauna was perfect. Great breakfast too. I can't rate this hotel more highly.

Excellent hotel for sightseeing & hiking in the Murren area. The service Is top notch & the staff is very friendly & very helpful. Every effort is made to accommodate guests & answer their questions about hiking, sightseeing & travel arrangements and It is obvious that this is a family run hotel as so much attention is paid to their guests. The owner even makes the rounds at dinner speaking to guests and asking about their stay. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and it was excellent. The venison \"hunter's style\" was particularly good.

Perfectly located, fabulous old European service

Absolutely loved our stay at the Eiger. From the greeting of the porter at the train station to take our bags all way up to our room, to the lovely/helpful/cheerful/kind staff, to the pool/sauna facilities, to the comfortable rooms and bathrooms, and the dinners overlooking the most beautiful scenery ever...how could you go wrong? It's hard work getting up to Murren, but once there, The Hotel Eiger is the only place to stay!

Pictures could never do justice to the beauty that surrounds the Eiger. Having lunch on the terrace with the mountains right in front of you brings a sense of pure joy and peace. If I could, I would return there every summer for the rest of my life.
