The desk staff were not warm and welcoming. Supposed to call and let us know when our room was ready. Never received a call.
Our room was blasting heat despite all attempts to turn it down. It was unbearable. Small stains on comforter.

The hotel was very nice. Everyone was very nice. The bar was great and the food was awesome. The bartender/waitress was very nice.
The room was spacious and very nice. The only reason for the 4 star review was the telling the shower water. We couldn’t get the water hot even after letting it run for 5 mins. We could take a shower but just barely bc the water didn’t get hot.

The staff was very helpful. Rebecca at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We had a small inconvenience with the heater, and Rebecca took care of it immediately, making sure everything was resolved quickly.

Breakfast had good options, and the staff in the breakfast room were very kind and friendly, ensuring the food was promptly replenished. The management’s care and attentiveness are clearly reflected in the staff.

First - the lobby was inviting and the check in process was very quick and easy. The room was warm when we arrived (January in northern PA), which was extremely nice. We saw a live performance next door and when we returned found out the restaurant was open until 10. The bartender was very nice and attentive and the food was wonderful. The bed / pillows were perfect and the room was clean and very relaxing. One of the few places that provide a small note pad and pen. Breakfast was amazing. Fruit was fresh, waffle was perfect (my favorite) and the coffee was excellent. The Breakfast staff were friendly and very helpful. Checkout was seamless. We will go back to this hotel anytime we are in the area.

Staff is soooo very friendly. From check in at front desk, to housekeeping, the breakfast staff and checking out at front desk!! Every single staff member was so kind, polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again on my frequent trips to Pittsburgh, and then again on my way back home!

With the reviews I expected too much of this place. Staff is mixed when it comes to friendliness. Some are rude, some are nice. The food was gross. Even the hot water for tea had some dirt or something in it. One of the lights in our room didnt work. And one of the cleaning staff opened our door without knocking first to see if we were there. It wasnt the worst. But i wouldnt stay there again.

I stayed here to attend a concert at the venue across the street and I’ll be back! The prices are reasonable, the rooms clean, beds comfy, water, pressure great and the free breakfast was also very good. The little wine bar/ restaurant just off the lobby was also wonderful. There’s a pool too that looked cute, if you stay in the summer. Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was pleasant. The beds were very comfortable. The room temperature was perfect, as the HVAC was off...I love a cool room for sleeping. We stayed on a Thursday night and it was so nice and quiet. The breakfast area was beautiful.

Immaculate Property/Great Staff

I highly recommend this property to travelers to Wilkes-Barre, PA. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate. And breakfast is delicious. My traveling companion and I stayed here twice within ten days when we traveled from Florida to Maine and back, and if/when I make the trip again, I will once again reserve a room at this BW Plus hotel.

We had three rooms booked for our one-night stay to attend my wife's graduation. I alerted the front desk upon our departure about each room's issues and needed maintenance.
One room had a toilet that leaked at the base.
Another had a clogged (slow draining) sink, and despite being listed as non-smoking, smelled of cigarettes.
The third smelled strongly of mildew.
On the upside, the front desk staff were courteous and responsive. The breakfast was good.

Overall, the stay and staff were nice, EXCEPT: my wife and I were having breakfast at the dining room this morning when the maitre d' put on a christian evangelist sermon on the TV for everyone to see and hear. It was highly inappropriate and offensive. We promptly left. I took the tip I was going to leave with me.

There was also a lot of cigarette smoke smell in various areas of the motel throughout our stay.

First, let me say the staff was exceptional! Upon arriving, a woman at the front desk did an excellent job of explaining everything and showed a genuine friendliness doing so. When it was time to check out, I was again greeted with smiles and happiness, by a different person. It makes such a difference when you've just spent hours driving to be greeted in such a welcoming manner! The breakfast was great with a nice variety of options to choose from. I found everything to be clean and was surprised by two bottles of cold water in the room fridge. That's such a nice touch! My only negative would be the bed as it left me pretty sore in the morning. Otherwise, this was one of my favorite places to stay.

The entrance was beautiful the room a little outdated. The carpet didnt appear to be vaccumed as there was small rubber bands and a artificial fingernail on the floor.
The pool was nice, however it is small.
Great location in regards to shopping and food locations. All really within walking distances
