When I was attempting to check in, the front desk staff took a set of keys from a couple checking out, and just gave me that key.

I was so lucky to walk into the couples recently used room, and find out this was my room for the night. The beds were a mess and very clearly used. There was drywall lining the border of the room, and the toilet had black stains along the lid and inside the toilet.

The night time air was full of screaming, dogs barking, and loud blasting music. Trashiest hotel in all of Scranton, and that’s not a hard title to earn

Breakfast could be better but everything else was great - room was spacious and clean. We did have an issue with some idiots that decided to get loud around 1030-11pm on a Sunday night. Would I stay again - most likely but I would plan on eating breakfast someplace else as the breakfast isn't really anything at all and the policy of not being able to bring drinks (coffee) or food out of the breakfast area is ridiculous in itself. Most everyone likes to enjoy a cup of coffee after they eat.

I checked our room before we even carried our bags in. There was used soap in the shower. Hair on the floor. I asked them to make sure the room was cleaned before we brought our bags in so we went to the Friday's next door for a cocktail. When we return to the room the soap was gone, but there was still hair on the floor and small bits of toilet paper behind the door. We stayed anywhere and wore our flip flops in the shower. Also, they're free.Breakfast is only for 2 hours from 6-8 am.🙄 This place needs a major cleaning.

We arrived shortly after check in time. We confirmed with the front desk that we got NON SMOKING. We arrive to our room to find holes in the blanket from cigarettes and the whole room smelled. We went to the front and got a different room. That room also smelled like smoke and was disgusting. We went to the front a 3rd time and was offered a bigger room. We looked at that room and it smelled better but was dirty! We decided to leave. When we asked for a refund the front desk denied it saying that the rooms only smell like smoke because people smoke outside and it drifts in..and then tried saying all the rooms were perfectly fine and we over reacted. The hotel is NOTHING like what advertised. I know a cheap hotel is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for but you get even less than that here. I genuinely hope no one wastes their money at this scam of a hotel again

I am a manager for a staffing company. I was traveling for work, provided staff for the Pocono Raceway. I booked the room in belief I would be in the area for the entire weekend. I was then called to another state by my employment. I tried to cancel the room and they charged me a fee for the entire room. It was my first time utilizing hotels.com, and they were also no help with receiving my funds back. I don’t understand how I had to pay for a room I DID NOT STAY IN. My cancellation was attempted more than five hours prior to check in. I would NOT RECOMMEND. I even paid extra for the insurance.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Towels were soiled. Vinyl floor was dirty, toilet was sweating and possible body fluid on bathroom door (inside). It is an older hotel, which can be charming, but this was not the case here. Management seems unconcerned with even basic maintenance. Door didn’t even shut completely. Breakfast was poor at best. Choice of white bread, runny eggs, possibly sausage from yesterday, stale cereal, coffee, and a make your own waffle with a dirty waffle maker. Nothing to drink but coffee.
Breakfast is only 6-8 and when I asked about water, the desk clerk told me I could buy a bottle of water for $3. Clerk said if I “wanted water I should go to the Marriott.”
They could have offered ice water and basic hot tea, oatmeal packets and fresh fruit and that would have made a better experience.
Fridays gives you 10% off dining or Sheetz is across the street.

Unsafe- hotel safety door chain was angled so it was useless. Multiple holes in walls and sketchy area. Not for solo female/child travelers. Unclean- previous tenant's soap and hair in bathtub, cigarette burns in comforter and sheets, smelled like mold. Management was unorganized and poorly handled the property. Air conditioning in the room was broken on a 90° day and they couldnt move me into a different room so gave me a little fan for the hot and humid room. I was promised an upgrade that next morning and the second night they struggled to figure out where to move me again and seemed confused and surprised that I was to be moved to another room. Overall chaotic and stressful experience. Never staying here again. Worst hotel I've ever experienced.

Booked this hotel for one night for me and my two friends, only out of convenience. When we entered the room it was obviously not well maintained but we weren’t took picky cause it was just for one night. It took minutes to find out how terrible the room actually was. I saw hair on the shower walls and around the drain, there was one towel and some hand towels, the bed sheets were stained and the smell of the place got worse by the second. We had plans so we quickly changed and left. After our plans we got back, grabbed our bags and went to check out because none of us wanted to sleep in those beds. The man I dealt with while checking out just kept apologizing and offered us another room which I declined cause we had already found another place to stay. He said there would be no refund which I wasn’t surprised by and at that point I didn’t care. You couldn’t have paid me to sleep in that room.

Desk guy was extremely rude, property advertised that had breakfast included but it never happened because they said roof was leaking, which now thinking about it, was a blessing in disguise after realizing how dirty that place was. Bed sheets with cigarette holes on it, very dirty! Even motel 6 is better and cheaper. Don’t stay there!

I would not recommend staying here the staff has terrible customer service skills and property is infested with roaches. I would recommend just spending a extra 10 dollars a night and go to woodspring suites or something also the eggs were moldy that they were serving

Room was non-smoking, but smelled of smoke and vape combination within the room and was strong. Dryer on scene was broken. Requested fresh towels and they had hair on them. For one cheap quick stay for travel it may be fine. Overnight there was screaming arguing, and you can hear everything from outside the room. It would be cheaper and cleanlier to car camp at a Cracker Barrel. Photos are deceiving. Property isn’t maintained, stripping paint and litter everywhere. Door inside room to the bathroom wouldn’t close properly, and wouldn’t lock, has to put towel on the floor to keep closed. Overall, stay wasn’t preferable, unless you really need a place to stay just for a night or two. For us two nights was the maximum stay.

Don't waste your time or money on this place. It's a dump ( I can't say more or this review gets kicked back) The prices for Friday are high for what you're getting. Rooms were dingy and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Had people running up and down the walk way at all hrs of the night. A/C didn't work. Lighting fixtures didn't work. The place hasn't been maintained at all. Exit sign hanging by it's wires. Trash all over. Staff didn't seem to care. The Continental breakfast was a joke. Red Roof Inn down the road is way better than this joint and the RRI is not great either. Never again. The RRI is even cheaper than this dump. If you love you family and have self respect. Do not stay here. It was the worst stay I've ever had anywhere.

Check-in staff gave me no information. I had to ask everything. He was smacking gum the whole time which was very annoying. When I got to my room there was no ice bucket so I had to walk back to the office to ask for one. The guy didn’t even try to find me a bucket. He just said they were low on ice buckets and handed me a little bag to put ice in. The breakfast was nonexistent. I got there for breakfast at 7:30am and everything was gone. There was dry cereal but there was no milk. No coffee, no juice. There was one slice of bread and there were three apples that were all rotten! The serving area was very dirty with crumbs, etc…If breakfast hours are 6-8am then there should be a staff member who refills coffee and other foods that run out during that time, as well as keep the area tidy and wiped off. The hotel grounds were unkept with high weeds all over the courtyard. This seemed to be a run-down, poorly run hotel.

Just a one night sleep while traveling, Area kind of sketchy people around outside no ice bucket, front desk did not have one or even a plastic bag to put ice in, no tv remote, had to wait for person to come in to get one, gave me new remote and batteries and said they were easy for me to set up. Water running in bathtub, toilet filled really slow, hair dryer not working, outside building in disrepair. would not recommend if traveling with children

I was given a second room after raising concerns about the first, but unfortunately the second room was even worse. Both rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and had stained sheets. I left immediately and did not stay overnight. I ended up driving 6 minutes to Spark by Hilton Wilkes-Barre and booking another room at 2 AM. The refusal to provide a refund after this experience was extremely disappointing.

STAY AWAY! The images online are entirely misleading. This is mainly a residence hotel for people otherwise homeless. I found a hypodermic on the ground. My next fire neighbor came home drunk at midnight and ranted on the phone for an hour and a half, with the F word liberally sprinkled, and started in again at 630 the following morning! There's way too much that's horrible here for me to put in writing. See my photos.

Called 2 hrs past cancellation cut off due to car troubles. Even with Expedia calling they refused to credit me. After a 12 hr drive we made it to the hotel. Every inch of this place was disgusting. From the building, lobby, grounds and room. The front desk person was unsympathetic and again refused to give me my money back. Again Expedia called to solve the issue without success. DONOT STAY here. Disgusting on all levels

The room was clean and provided soap but not the usually provided shampoo and tissues. The hot water was difficult to turn on(handle was hard to turn, needed maintenance). From the outside the hotel looked old & run down and the grounds were not tidy but presentable. The continental breakfast times did not match what was written in the provided hotel amenity pamphlet. A cheap place to stay for a night. You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and will not again.

The front desk was very nice but the room was eh. The sheets was pretty clean but the tub was dirty and I asked three time if someone could clean it and for two days they did not clean the bathroom so I had to go somewhere else to shower. The breakfast was not much. The options was very very limited. A few things like the remote and the ice bucket was missing from the room but I was still given an ice bag for some reason.

The property was run down. The rooms smelled like cigarettes. The dead bolt didnt work on door. Curtains for windows were full of holes. Could see threw them. Towels we stained and dirty looking. Shower wouldnt turn off, called front desk multiple times, multiple hangups by the staff, and was told a maintence man would be up. No one showed. After an hour of waiting they told us to come to the front desk. We packed up our stuff, drove to the front desk, where they didn't even apologize just took our key and reprogrammed it and said 212 (our new room, which ended up being right next to our old room - after packing up thr car to unpack it next door). To make things worse, they decided to fix the shower at 6:30am the following morning. Over 12 hours later (and the water was still running). Horrible experience. Plus we booked a smoking room with a scenic overlool of the city. There was no smoking room or a scenic city view!
