Pool was small and chilly, most adults got in and quickly out. The kids got used to it and stayed in. Our room was long and narrow with little space between the bed and wall (2 people couldn't pass). And the bathroom door was a slider with no lock on it. Poor privacy. But the closet was large, the kids could hang out in it. Quite odd room.

We have stayed here for years during the ski season and as usual it was another good stay. It is close to all locations, including the ski mountain and restaurants.

the front desk staff and the breakfast staff were amazing and sweet. Upon arriving to the hotel it was quiet, only a few people in the lobby and it was quite clean. after leaving and coming back the hotel lobby was PACKED on both friday and Saturday night with kids running around everywhere, adluts and kids being extremely loud after 10 pm which is when quiet hours are supposed to start, people making messes of food all over the ground and it was just very rowdy. it was valentines weekend so i understood to a point but after quiet hours was really loud. the pool hours are 7-10, but after 10 pm when a giant family left the pool, a group of about 10 boys went in, using a shoe to keep the door propped open and didnt get out untill well after 11 pm. in the morning the pool opens at 7 AM so we thought that was our chance but it had not been cleaned AT ALL, there were wet towls all over the room, on every lounge chair, empty bottles and coffee cups, etc. The pool water was murkey and the hot tub was cold. Our tv did not work the first night we were there so they sent a man to come work on it and he spent about 10 minutes in the room and couldnt get it to work so he said \"i have to go get the master remote to rest it ill be back in a few minutes\" and then he never came back. I have understanding for all the people there because to a point the hotel cannot control guests, and it is by a ski mountain so of course familys are going to stay in the winter but it was just so much chaos.

Hotel was under renovation when we were there; gym was closed (they said we could use the one in the hotel next door) and one of the elevators was out of service. The first room we were assigned had a sagging mattress, so I asked for a different room. The TV in the second room didn't work, which didn't bother me too much, but then the bathroom door fell off the rail. The third room was ok... carpet had some stains but nothing was broken so I figured this would suffice. The guy at reception was very professional and accommodating... this is the first time I've ever had to switch rooms. It was a quick overnight stay, just passing through Scranton, but I don't know that I'd stay here again.

Stayed in a two bedroom suite on Dec.24- Dec.27 2025. The only reason I have gave this hotel two stars is because the room was spacious. Several problem with property first water pressure in shower was very low had to switch rooms after I packed and settled in. Second problem I called ahead to ask if the hot tub is working was told yes when arrived jets weren’t working. In that case I can fill my tub with hot water. Third problem busy holiday weekend one of the elevators wasn’t working took forever to get to the fourth floor. Four problem no lock on bathroom door and the frame on bathroom door coming out, so when you open and close bathroom door in makes a loud noise. Don’t recommend

The staff is not at fault. The pool was closed. I had talked to the front desk this morning and he assured me a first floor room and when i arrived i was told they only had a 4th floor available. I use oxygen & have Afib and i was told a first floor room was secured. Many people were angry at her but many of the issues are out of her control. Management needs held accountable. Only one elevator was working and the hotel was very busy with many young families which added to lots of noise ( some kids knocked on our door at 1:30 am) but understandable as it was a big ski weekend ( no excuse for the knocking on doors though ) .

I chose SpringHill Suites specifically because of the amenities advertised, particularly the hot tub, gym, and outdoor fire pit. Unfortunately, my stay was less than satisfactory due to ongoing maintenance issues, and all of these amenities were unavailable during my visit.
What was most disappointing is that these amenities were a major factor in my decision to stay here, yet I was still charged full price—pricing that is competitive with, and in some cases higher than, other hotels in the area that offer similar rooms. Paying a premium for features that were not accessible does not feel fair or justified.
While the room itself was acceptable, the lack of transparency and adjustment in pricing left me feeling disappointed. What was most disappointing is that these amenities were a major factor in my decision to stay here, yet I was still charged full price—pricing that is competitive with, and in some cases higher than, other hotels in the area that offer similar rooms. Paying a premium for features that were not accessible does not feel fair or justified.

The room was clean I had king suite, but the placement of the TV was really weird- I couldn’t really see it from the bed nor from the couch so we had to re position it. Sleeper sofa was horrible but bed was comfortable The pool was ok. I liked the hot tub although I wish there were bubbie jets. In the pool area there was a lot of green algae around the walls and some black mold in the one corner. The gym wasn’t available but you were able to use the one in the hotel next door. The breakfast was really very good for free continental breakfast. One elevator was broken. All in all I would stay again.

They are doing some upgrades, and only one elevator was in service. Otherwise the hotel was very nice clean and the beds were comfortable.
