everything went well, great location especially if you were going to watch the rugby as stadium is on 280 steps . polite and attentive staff. pool was warm and clean. Nightlife only a few minutes walk away - busses close and very good . 20 mins to airport by bus and 30 mins to Biarritz beach

Nice hotel in convenient location offering good value. Excellent staff on front desk. Didn't like the beat music from the nightclub just across the river, surely there must be planning regulations against it. Probably not so bad in summer when foliage on the trees.

Great place to stay in Bayonne with wonderful staf

Lovely hotel in a good location for walking around the town. The room was spacious and clean. Room and hallway smelled fresh.
We had a small issue with leaking from the ceiling near the air conditioning unit. We reported this to the front desk and it was resolved later that day.
The bed was very comfortable. I would have preferred a double bed over two singles pushed together but otherwise very nice room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was decent size with a nice little shelf to hold items. Parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful and multilingual. The breakfast buffet was very good, staff cleaned tables between customers and replenished items regularly.

There was a big rugby event on the first night we stayed here. We were very appreciative that the hotel posted security in the car park due to the large crowds and ensured our safety.

Well located hotel walking distance to all the sites in Bayonne. We had a comfort room with a double bed and a sofa bed that was spacious, although very basic. I would say it is a good enough place, just not a 4 star hotel.

I reserved a room with a view to the river and they gave me a room with a view to the main entrance.
The bedroom does not correspond to/with the stars of the hotel.
Breakfast was too expensive (€15 per person) when there are amenities around, where you can eat for 2-3 people for less than that.
The big surprise in the end was when you pay the local tax which was €51, which was more expensive than the room itself (€49 for a room for 2 people).

Good location, they have a separate parking, room was fine however the shower and toilet was very small. The most bothering aspect was that the pillow cases seemed used and were full of hair not belonging to us. Breakfast seemed pricey , so we didn't take it.

The Human Touch.

After a howling storm and a cancelled ferry The manager here agreed to ignore, \"company policy\" and slide my reservation back a couple of days. As a previous hotelier myself I know how the human touch reflects on guests and this cheered me up. I've reviewed the hotel before and nothing has changed. Modern well managed hotel in a super convenient spot with a secure car park. Ideal business stop over hotel which I shall continue to use.

We were travelling back from Portugal and Bayonne was one of the stops on our journey. The room and staff were very pleasant and the hotel served our purpose of providing a clean room, a comfortable bed and a palatable breakfast, before continuing our journey.

Not a four star expereince

I accept I booked a double bed, basic room. However as a four star hotel I would expect some things being basic to what that means!

The room was miniscule - so much so that the double bed was just a standard British size double bed - I haven't experienced this in a double room in a hotel for years. In addition there wasn't a bedside table on one side of the bed so nowhere to put bits and pieces for ease of access during the night. This side of the bed was so close to the wardrobe storage space - which had to have a sliding door for access as there was no possibility for an opening door, one had to side step between the bed and the wardrobe to access that side of the bed and to gain access to the bathroom.

I would hazard a guess that this room had originally been designated as a single-use room.

The bathroom was small and tired and obviously not maintained. It was clean, in the sense of everyday cleanliness, however the seal to the shower was broken and obviously had been for sometime. In addition the seal around the shower base was disintegrating and mouldy in parts - something of a 'put off'.

I fully accept basic is basic however I would reiterate in any hotel, regardless of 'stars', there is a basic standard to be achieved and maintained.

From the perspective of the quality of the accommodation a very disappointing experience I would not repeat.

The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Close enough to town centre. The hotel was standard, reasonably priced, clean, and had good parking on or near the site. Bayonne was a surprise. Its a fantastic town. I'd fully recommend a visit and easily worth a few days. I would have loved to spend more time here, its close to the coast if you have a car. As a location to explore the region it is perfect. Easy to go north of south. Great during the day and at night. Fully recommend the town of Bayonne as a place to visit.

Highly recommend!

I had a lovely visit at the Hotel Le Bayonne. I was thrilled with the location of the hotel, as everywhere was within walking distance. The airport was only 20mins away. The outdoor pool was an added bonus as well as the usual wifi services, which were excellent. The staff were very friendly and their english was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel near to the center

I liked this hotel and it is a good price. It is a five minute walk to great restaurants and the charming old town. The windows open for fresh air. They did not have a small fridge in the room but were willing to put your items in their kitchen. Very clean and the room looked nice. A bit small but fine for one person.Friendly helpful staff. Taxi cost 10 Euros from the train station to the hotel. I took a bus from right outside the hotel to the train station for 1 euro. Very convenient.

An ideal hotel for a very short stay. Great location and ample parking in a safe neighborhood. Very warm and efficient reception. Rooms extremely small and continental breakfast is rather poor with only viennoiseries as a choice of bread. Slow inexperienced staff in the breakfast room, but that might change hopefully.

Overall good 'business like' hotel and fine for a travel stopover. Rate was a bit expensive compared to our other stays especially as the others where such a high quality . The location is a strong point though as you are 5 mins walk from the main old town, which is lovely. The initial room (basic) was very small and we where fortunate to be given an upgrade to a classic which is the type of room that we had initially expected - so all good in the end. Not what i would describe as a spa though

Stayed one night in basic room whilst travelling from Provence back to Calais. Booking included free parking but receptionist said that it wasn't free in July and August. However she honoured it. Hotel pool is tiny and the hotel needs refurbishment but for one night it was comfy enough.

Nice Hotel situated within walking distance of the town centre with all of its facilities. Only stayed one night en route to Spain so was unable to explore area, nonetheless, other that the fact that the hotel did not supply 'in room' tea/coffee making facilities or a fridge all other facilities were fine and we would stay there again. Secure on site parking facilities are excellent.

Over rated for a four star hotel

Our stay did not start well - surly reception staff. It is a four star rated hotel, BUT no mini-bar, average size room with no drawers (shelves in the wardrobe), plastic cups, expensive breakfast and worn (thin and once-white) towels. Efficient air-conditioning; no charge for parking. Good neighbourhood which is close to the town, but then so are most of the hotel there.

I only stayed for one night.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel, I have stayed in better 3 star hotels.
The staff were very pleasant, but some were inexperienced or not trained for the task they were doing.
The room was adequate.
The double bed was 2 singles pushed together.
Breakfast was a big disappointment, I checked the buffet first. The sausages were cold and the scrambled eggs were liquid, maybe it is a Basque type breakfast, if I'm wrong please forgive me.
I had breakfast in the bar, it should not take as long as it did to serve a juice, coffee and crossiant.
I would suggest to walk along the quay to any of the many café for breakfast.
The hotel is in a good location close to the city centre.
Someone in another review complained about having to walk from the car park to the hotel, you usually do have to do this. It is a secure car park, which you don't find very often unless it is underground.
I would say that this hotel is 3 star

Séjour d’une nuit avec des amis, réservation d’une chambre double et d’une chambre simple. L’hôtel est affiché comme un 4 étoiles et, peut-être, en remplit-il les critères officiels, mais il ne correspond pas à l’image que je me fais de ce standing. Le confort et le service sont en deçà de mes attentes, surtout au vu du tarif pratiqué. Le rapport qualité-prix est décevant, d’autant plus que, la veille, j’avais séjourné dans un hôtel deux fois moins cher, mais nettement plus agréable.
La chambre double, bien qu’annoncée à 20 m², donne une impression d’espace limitée en raison d’une configuration très asymétrique. La salle de bain fait plutôt bas de gamme, et l’ensemble manque de charme.
Le service est neutre : ni chaleureux, ni particulièrement désagréable, mais impersonnel.
En résumé, rien de vraiment enthousiasmant. Je ne le recommanderai pas et n’y retournerai pas.

Voyageant seule, j’ai été agréablement surprise par la qualité de l’accueil dès mon arrivée. Le personnel a été d’une grande gentillesse, toujours disponible et souriant, ce qui a grandement contribué à rendre mon séjour très agréable.
Le petit déjeuner était un vrai moment de plaisir chaque matin : très complet, savoureux, parfaitement présenté et servi très tardivement (11h voire midi le weekend). Les suggestions proposées étaient pertinentes, avec une belle variété de produits frais, sucrés comme salés, qui donnaient envie de tout goûter. Un vrai plus pour bien commencer la journée.
La chambre, bien que peu spacieuse, était parfaitement agencée, très propre et confortable. Le vrai atout : une magnifique vue sur la Nice, apaisante et reposante, qui compense largement la taille de la pièce.
Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour leur professionnalisme et leur attention. Une belle parenthèse, que je recommande sans hésitation.

Déçue de l’hôtel.
Chambre minuscule et salle d’eau idem.
Une bouilloire avec une dosette de café soluble pour 2 jours. Une bouteille d’eau pas renouvelée le deuxième jour.
En fait il faut quitter l’hôtel et revenir pour avoir le droit à tout ce qui est inclus dans la chambre.
Pourtant quand on reste plusieurs jours, les chambres sont au même prix!!
5€ pour se faire longer un room service, je trouve aussi cela abusé.
Un hôtel qui se veut luxe, mais qui a les mêmes pratiques que le low cost…. Le moindre item est payant, comme chez easy jet!!

Cet hôtel est un lieu de qualité. L’équipe est souriante, chaleureuse et agréable.
L’hôtel est proche des arrêts de bus, des routes…
Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses.
La piscine est agréable, mais un peu petite.
La salle de sport et de bien-être est qualitative, notamment grâce aux machines et poids disponibles. Je pense que le spa et le hammam, en panne lors de mon séjour, sont aussi très biens.
Bon hôtel pour ceux qui cherchent à se reposer ou découvrir Bayonne.

gute Betten, super Lage zur Stadt in Laufweite, Parkplatz kostenpflichtig, modern. Wir waren eine Nacht auf Durchreise und waren damit sehr zufrieden.
