Okay I knew i only did breakfast and not all inclusive but it took forever to get a drink by the pool, someone walked by maybe every 30 minutes. There's really not any activities or shows but met some friendly staff V from water aerobics and C (I think) from Karaoke. Only ordered lunch once but it was tasteless. My thermostat was broken and even after several comaints was not fixed properly so had sleep in socks was beyond freezing. Matenience made it hard to relax by the pool with the loudness from tools... hottub was cold... looks like they’re upgrading buildings and other areas. Overall staff was friendly although most spoke only minimum English and property clean but wouldn't stay again.

Enjoyed my stay here despite the location being away from downtown and during after work hours everyone is heading in this direction. That’s beyond your control. My only complaint is the shower. The water pools due to slow drainage. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The property was modern and well maintained. I was deeply disappointed when i booked an excursion with the resort and they refused to accommodate my request to reschedule for the next day after I became ill. The contract stated that in order to reschedule that I would require a doctors note. After a teleconference with my physician, he forwarded a medical excuse stating the nature of my illness and provided a medical reason supporting my request to postpone my excursion until the next day. The hotel refused to accept my medical note stating that it was not provided by a doctor in Panama and did not have a raised seal. The aforementioned conditions were not stated in the contract. I spoke with the manager on duty who did not remedy the problem.

Nice hotel with direct beach access, but during low tide the beach is not usable. Breakfast is very good and there are plenty of bars indoor and outside by the pools. There is a beach volleyball area, but it could be refreshed. Panama City is 12min uber ride for $12-$15 each way.

The property was really nice for the most part. There were a few areas that might need to be fixed soon but nothing major. The pools were great. Staff was great. Didn't have any problems with parking. Lots of great activities for the kids to do. Would stay again. One thing I wasn\"t aware of was low tide they had it a few times during our stay, so had to wait for the water to come back before we could play in the ocean.

When you purchase through Expedia be aware it is not ALL INCLUSIVE as advertised. Also this is Westin and nothing like the states not even the service, beds, amenities are nothing compared to a true Westin. Wasn’t as clean as it should be our room had someone else’s used socks and fridge wasn’t cleaned out from last person stay. Also no activities during the week for anyone including kids. Also staff doesn’t speak English nor are nice.

pros: The view from my oceanview room was spectacular. The room is average. Furniture and decor outdated. The beach is virtually unuseable. You cannot swim in it and I walked on it and got bit up by mosquitos or something else. Property is isolated. Nothing to do nearby. For the price, I would not return.

Fabulous room with balcony and bath overlooking a jungle view. Supercomfy bed, sheets, and pillows. Big TV, shower, fridge and furnishings were great. The coffee maker was a little tricky to make it work but all good. Room service was good. Lots of space around the pool. The beach was brown sand and nice enough but generally muddy waters. Twice a day the tide goes way out and beach swimming isn't available. Loved the Italian restaurant and breakfast buffet. Overall, very relaxing stay. Sadly, the pool bar was never open though.

Property is beautiful, just a small tad dated but lovely nonetheless. That’s the reason for the 4 stars. The buffet breakfast is phenomenal, the restaurants onsite are fantastic. All of the food was great! The amenities were amazing! Hands down a magnificent resort on the west side of Panama. One slight warning, the traffic to the hotel is ridiculous, most times of day. If you are planning on staying out, you are fine, but if planning to go back and forth to Panama City, be forewarned. Could take three times the time due to the traffic to cross the bridge.

We had a pleasant time with our family and friends at the property, but there were several areas that needed improvement.

Here are some of the cons:

- We arrived at 7 am on the day of our check-in, but as a Bonvoy member, we were not able to get early check-in (for free) until 1 pm.
- We booked an all-inclusive package, but we only received our room keys at 3 pm.
- The first room we were given was a room for disabled people, and we requested a regular room. The second room was not clean.
- The third room was to our liking.
- The treadmills at the gym were not working properly almost every day.

The most frustrating experience was when I requested a refund for two of my family members who arrived two days after my arrival. I was unable to get a refund, and Expedia told me that I needed to contact the property, while The Westin told me that I needed to contact Expedia. No one was taking responsibility for the refund. I booked the vacation in January and requested the refund update since then, but I haven’t received a response.

The property needs to update its rooms.

On the positive side, we had beautiful weather, great food, and friendly staff. The staff at the buffet, Starfish Grill, pool, front desk, Panamazing company, and others were all great. We also took a tour of the Panama Canal and the San Blas Islands, which was an amazing experience!

Overall, the property and staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The grounds & hotel were beautiful and well-kept, and we especially enjoyed the live entertainment each night. However, some parts of the stay didn’t meet expectations. The excursions and activities booked through the property were quite expensive, and we didn’t feel they matched the value for what we paid. A recurring issue during our stay was the in-room TV, it displayed another guest’s name and room number. Despite visiting the front desk multiple times and having maintenance come by, the issue was never resolved. This was concerning since the TV shows billing details and messages.
Restaurant options were limited, and while the food was delicious, portions were small and meals pricey, often around $75 or more for two without alcohol. Most staff members spoke limited English, so communication could be tricky at times. Washcloths weren’t provided automatically, we had to request them. The pool closes when the sun sets and reopens only after morning cleaning, so swimming hours are limited. Be sure to use the mosquito wipes provided, those little things are sneaky and persistent! If you’re not fluent in Spanish, I wouldn’t recommend driving, most road signs & directions are all in Spanish, and driving customs differ from the U.S. Despite the hiccups, the service, scenery, and local charm made the trip memorable especially seeing traffic stop completely to let a sloth cross the road!

No one informed us that we would have a fee to check in early or we would have waited. We never even stayed in the room we went to lunch. BEWARE OF THIS TRICKY TACKTIC

It prolly was a bad ass place once, but that was a while back. Room was ample, breakfast was very decent, place was generally clean. Our keys went outta whack four times, ride the elevator on someone else’s key up and down, go to reception, wasted ten minutes every time. No apologies whatsoever, nobody cared, it was prolly happening to everyone. Pools were not clean, service around pools nonexistent, bar was close. Chairs were very very old and need to be thrown away. Beach gets ugly when low tide happens. Food at the adjacent restaurants was comedic, but the price was dramatic, so that was entertaining! Service barely ok! If you have high standards, stay away. This is the worse Westin we ever stayed at.

This is a 3 stat property. The disappointing aspect is that it is advertised as a non smoking property and this is not the case. No one enforced this rule as employees served smoking patrons right beside us on multiple occasions. Front desk staff refused to break ten dollar bills for us to tip the staff that were observant to our needs. Balbino was excellent. I would not recommend this property but it could be made more appealing if management strived.

The on the positive side: the \"ocean\" view room have a great view! We learned from previous reviews that room service food is faster, less expensive and not so bad. That is true, although they did get our order wrong, despite confirming it. But they did promptly bring a replacement.

Another positive are the pools. Lots of pools for all ages.

On the not positive side:
The biggest issue was the bait and switch by this website (they blocked me from using the actual name) and the hotel. We reserved two king suites via this website. I called the hotel the day after reserving to confirm the reservation, request a crib and ask for adjoining rooms. The hotel confirmed the reservation (including the fact that it was two suites). However, upon arrival we received two regular rooms. They claimed that we reserved \"premium\" rooms, instead of suites. And refused to put us in suites unless we paid more money.

Smaller issues is that the line to check-in to the hotel is LONG and slow.

The room itself was the best part. Super comfy beds and really spacious. The bad - the shower door didn’t seal so the floor was constantly covered in soaking wet towels. As other reviewers have stated - there’s nothing special about the food. The breakfast buffet is worth adding for the extra $11. Def not worth $22 per person though. We ate at the buffet once for dinner and it was pretty awful. We ate at fuego and it was way over priced for the quality of food. Same goes for the starfish place. But one thing they all had in common was terrible service. Though, as we move around to different areas (we’re now in Casco Viejo) and the service here is pretty awful as well. I don’t think anyone here hustles for tips. It’s weird.
As for location - you aren’t going to do anything out at the Westin, so staying there kind of seems pointless. Where we are staying now is a cool area that you can walk around and there’s tons of shopping and food and stuff to do. And all the excursions we did while at playa Bonita, we could have just done from here.
Highly recommend the monkey and sloth tour. By far the best bag for your buck at $30/person for 5ish hours!
Ok back to hotel - as others have said, beach is terrible. Low tide seems to last forever and it goes out sooooo far. And you aren’t left with sand and tide pools, you’re left with mud and grossness. Do not stay here if you’re trying to have a beach experience.
Anyway, I would recommend staying elsewhere - casco viejo has been great!

There was no free breakfast. The buffet was the same every day. Only one pool bar open so you were always standing in line for a drink. A minimum $25.00 to go anywhere in a taxi and if you stayed out past 2:00pm it took hours to get back to the hotel.

When calling the hotel, we were placed on hold several times with no assistance. $60 for the calls. Unanswered requests for assistance from staff on multiple occasions to assist with issues in the unit like slow-to-drain tub and shower, and stuck privacy door. We had 2 club suites and while the rooms were spacious and clean, there were no privacy curtains in the living area, and with the privacy doors being stuck open, we had no way to block the the morning light from the bedroom. Also had an issue with service poolside due to not having all-inclusive status. We had a credit card on file for our incidentals and restaurant service, but were told we needed to provide a credit card because they didn’t know how to access the credit card on file. We verified at the front desk that our credit card was on file, but it was a hit or miss if it could be accessed for purchases, so I had to carry a credit card at all times. The club access was satisfactory. There was a decent breakfast buffet, but only snacks at lunch time. Dinner in the club, or happy hour, was confusing. The posting on the door of the club states children have to be 12 to access the club during happy hour, but at the reception desk, it states 16. Our daughters are 10 so they were not allowed to enter, but when we went to the club for happy hour the following day, there were at least 4 kids under 5 in the club on the patio area. There was a lot of inconsistency throughout our stay.

The property was in a beautiful spot with a gorgeous of the ocean. The water recedes in the day but don’t worry it comes back by the morning. The food is good - good variety. One thing I will point out. Bring your insect repellant. There are microscopic insects (mosquitoes) that come out from 6pm-6am that you will not see or feel when they bite you until the next day when you start to itch the bites. After bite is also a must. Other than that we had the best time!

My 2 favorites were asiana and star fish🤔 i believe was the name of the latter; they were frying whole red snapper that was fabulous. Spa was nice also. The spa offerings have different prices for pressure so that was telling. They squeezed us in for a couples massage that was really a rub down with oil. I wasn't surprised by that given the menu. They were still a great staff and experience.

Our stay was cut short by 5 days due to WestJet flight issues but Amanda the Front desk manager was empathetic and tried to make our remaining stay as relaxing and as welcoming as possible. There was a good selection of restaurants (the steak was our favourite) and the bar and entertainment good. The gym facilities good also. The lack of umbrellas to provide shade is a definite improvement needed and it would be better if the sun loungers could extend all the way back so you can lie in front. The tours were good too. The beach was fantastic for seeing wildlife and we saw Iguanas and Sloths on the actually resort which was a delight.

My biggest issue was the day we checked in, I had to go to the front desk almost a dozen times over the span of 4 days because our keys would stop working, the front desk opened up a trouble ticket but to be stuck on elevator going back and fourth because our keys won’t work is ridiculous and something should of been done about it

The “garden” view is not a garden. It’s Forrest and shrubs. There are no microwaves in the rooms causing an inconvenience in reheating food purchased while out for the day. Gaps between meals are too long, forcing the purchase of room service. On site activities are limited.

El edificio es espectacular sin embargo hay zonas que se ven descuidadas o que podrían ser usadas mejor.
El cuarto es amplio y cómodo
Llegamos a la 2 después de un viaje internacional y fue necesario pagar para poder almorzar
El buffet es malo, muy pocas opciones y comida no muy sabrosa
El staff de entretenimiento pone especial atención a viajeros europeos o norteamericanos y no tanto a los latinos.
No hay mucho que hacer en las noches y el lugar esta alejado de la ciudad

Ok,so this place is decent, but not a 4 or 5 star. Lights don't work,phone didn't work, huge language barrier. Its outdated,the ocean is dirty,the water and the rubbish coming to shore every day. If you want a great experience on vacation try elsewhere. Food is not great either.

The staff is exceptional! From the room maids, to the staff at the restaurants, to the bar tenders, to the room service, to the pool guys - 5 star service!! The rooms and entire facility was always clean and modern! Be sure to rent a car if you don't get all-inclusive! Only advice is to have more activities engaging the people that want a bit of a \"party\" atmosphere during the day!

The Spa was really nice and the gym, stuff was not the greatest. Old and dated, the pool didn’t look clean and the beach was not like the pictures !
