This hotel told me when i inquired about a booking that my method of payment could not be used so I booked elsewhere...this hotel then used that method of payment to take $800 from my card for not showing up...I also heard nothing from them prior to that....I stayed in 3 other hitels in bali and was notified about my booking and also recieved welcome emails the day before we arrived at each of the 3 hotels...as far as we were concerned we had no confirmed booking as they couldnt use our method of payment....but then stole $800 out of my account. If I thought for one moment they would continue with booking and take money from my wise card I would have contacted them....We had no notification that they were expecting us. I dont know how to get my money back?

We would definitely stay here again. The staff were so friendly to us and our son. The swimming pool and garden are designed woven together, with quirky sculptures. I think this would be called a boutique hotel compared with the bigger resorts in Bali. If you like something a bit different and arty then you will like it. The location was excellent for Jimbaran, go straight out the back of the hotel and you're at the fish restaurants and the beach.

Good 5 nights here. Was upgraded upon arrival to swim up room, although we rarely used this feature. Room was a very good size and comfortable bed. Some cracked tiles and dirty grout/silicone in bathroom could be refreshed but all in all pretty clean. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Smiley and Ali very friendly by the pool. Nice pool area. All meals in the restaurant were nice.

The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds and AC. A lovely view of the pool from the balcony. Our only disappointment was the amount of smoke entering the property from the beach restaurants which we had never experienced during previous stays. We otherwise enjoyed our stay like always and love the short trip to the airport before a long flight.

To be honest, this likely used to be a top notch property, but they're way behind with repairs and upkeep of the property. The lication is walking distance to the town and beach. We would choose a different hotel next time. It was very noisy all the time. The chairs around the pool are limited and our lagune access room didn't even have loungers to sit on. Disappointed!

We had an amazing time at Le Méridien! The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool was a great way to cool off! The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and the air conditioning kept us cool. We woke up every morning looking forward to the buffet breakfast. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help with everything we needed from dietary restrictions, suggestions on where to go and to obtain private drivers. I hope we can return someday!

We stayed at the Le Méridien for our first trip to Bali based on the fact that we’ve stayed at Le Méridien’s in several other countries and have always had great experiences. This experience in particular was absolutely atrocious.

When we arrived we had a warm welcome and upon checking into our room we were appalled by the state of the room. There is mold in the showers, the bathroom, the room is unclean with dust everywhere, the towels are not clean, the property around is not clean, we literally had ticks in our bed and after complaining they sent us to a new room which we were grateful for but when we got to the room it was infested with flies and spiders, there was a work in the bath tub and even more roaches and mould we could ever imagine. All in all very disappointed in this place however I will say the staff are great but overall would highly recommend not staying here. There are several other amazing hotels in the area which are the same price that are upheld as an exclusive hotel. The cleanliness is non existent pls beware

Loved how activities staff Smiley and Yuni made fun for all the guests while leaving time to lay on the lagoon. Food cooked by Gede and team was top notch for Balinese over dinner and cakes at Breakfast with fully stocked egg/pancake/rice/noodle/fruit stations plus all dietary needs catered for. all the wait staff were attentive as were the lobby staff who helped organise anything we asked. Get the lagoon access pool for ultimate refreshment.

Hotel is a great hotel - slightly older - bed little harder than I prefer, but staff were all fab.

The location is a very short walk away from the beach, but the downside is actually the area there isnt much to walk to in terms of bars, nightlife or shopping.

We had a lagoon room. Room, gardens and pool were lovely. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is however, somewhat lacking in Balinese atmosphere. Staff uniform of striped t-shirt more resembled being in France rather than in Bali.
There was only one restaurant open and it was extremely hot all the time as the cooling system didn't seem to be working properly. Even though Bali has two wineries there weren't any local wines on the wine list even though they were available at other resorts for around AUD38. The wines that were on the list were too expensive around AUD90.

Smiley from the pool area is a great asset to the resort and should be congratulated.

Overall a nice hotel not much to do.

I particularly liked the setting of the place. It was very quiet which I liked . I enjoyed the balinese food that was offered at dinner time. Breakfast was mediocre for what you pay. The dining area was way too hot unfortunately, which I didn’t think helped the quality of the food appearance during breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted you with a smile . When there was an issue with my friend’s dinner , the chef was very quick to resolve it , without charge. If you enjoy seafood at the beach , Le Meridian was perfect for that. Fabulous setting and food at the beach. Finally, after we left the country , lost and found contacted me about a pair of earrings that was accidentally left behind , in the room. That was an added bonus , knowing that the staff can be trustworthy and honest .

This hotel is incredible, from the moment we arrived we felt right at home. We had the pool access room and absolutely loved starting our day with a swim. The the room was so big, and the bathroom was amazing I honestly could not have a bad word to say about the hotel at all. I the staff were so friendly , welcoming and so helpful, and we even had a beautiful cake and flowers to celebrate our wedding anniversary when we arrived to our room.
The breakfast itself was a 10/10 the Bakso station was our go to every morning. We ate by the pool one day and the food was delicious, and Beef Rendang and Mi Goreng.
Loved every moment of our stay and we can't wait t return.

I expected more from this standard of hotel. Need better choices of beer to include IPA and craft beer not just cheap beer. Cocktails need work, again for the standard of this hotel you need to up your standards on cocktails. We didn't eat anything because we were not sure if the food was any good considering the lack of good craft beer and cocktails.

It’s always easy to to just hit the five out of five button on each of the questions of this review and forget about it. But, I would have to say, that this resort really does deserve its five star classification. You will be impressed from the moment you arrive at the concierge’s desk until you sadly have to leave for home. All the staff are so happy to greet you where ever you come across them in the resort. The food, from morning to night is of the highest quality anywhere on the island.
Jimbaran bay restaurants on the beach are only a 20 second walk from the resort’s restaurant and you will still eat better if you eat in the resort. If you still feel you need to watch the sun going down then have a meal at Smokee’s roof top bar. We loved it. My tip for a room would be the lagoon access rooms. Step outside onto your patio area and straight into the lagoon. Bliss. Swim around for a while and take a seat at the bar. Happy hour is actually 3. Cocktails from 2pm - 5pm for half price.
Whilst you are in the lagoon you will undoubtedly come across “SMILEY” what a character he is. Fun and games all the way with this cheeky chappie.
Reviews for the benefit of others can sometimes be hard to give because it is only as you see it. I think the best way to rate something is to ask yourself would you do it again ?
My answer is…yes !

We were in Bali for a day for a short anniversary celebration holiday. The staff at Le Meridien were very friendly and accommodating, we needed to be picked up at the airport as well as checked-in early, both of which they sorted out with very short notice.
We were moved into a smaller room at first, which was not very nice and it took a bit of time for us to be moved to the lagoon access room we paid for. But the enthusiastic service of the bar staff on the day, the gorgeous pool and the delicious breakfast made up for it! I'm definitely going back here for a longer stay.

The pool is impressive but at the time of our stay it was dirty and there was a very bad smell around.
The exterior of hotel is in bad repair.
The staff are pleasant but we had difficulty getting simple requests such as towels. We booked and paid for 3 people, room was only set up for 2.

Arrived to be charged incorrectly, room only set up for 2 people when 3 , told we only had breakfast for 2 lucky we had paperwork to prove differently. Pillow so uncomfortable, towels very old . Lovely trip to Jimbaran. Ideal accomodation if you’re wanting a hotel close to food and shops. If you’re looking for somewhere with street food options this is your pick. Clean rooms, friendly staff, average happy hour and drink options, great rooms with pool access and nice breakfast. That being said.. the seafood markets alongside the hotel smoke out from 12-6pm some days. This causes the pool area, all balconies & rooms to stink out with smoke. This is so heavy you will struggle to see and breath while the markets are busy. Otherwise great stay.

Resort is located right next to several Jimbaran Bay seafood restaurants. Starting from 5pm to late in the evening, the resort is covered in BBQ smoke. Smell lingers around the next day. Unless you like being in haze or yellow dust, stay away! Another down side: poor condition of the facilities/room. Broken shower head hit my 3-year old’s face.

STAY AWAY if you want to enjoy your Bali vacation!!!

Our stay was great had no problems with the food, breakfast was good everything you needed was there and room service was great as well. We had a lagoon entry pool which was which was well worth the little bit extra.
Very helpful staff nothing was a problem they were warm and welcoming.
The only disappointment would be the state of the buildings for a property that is only 6 years the exterior is falling apart the original photos online look fantastic but is a shock to see up close they say the it has been refurbished but not sure what has been done little to no maintenance at all just a lot of botched patch up jobs, the beautiful cedar fins down the buildings have all but rotted and are falling off.
All that aside after spending 6 days at this property we did have a relaxing time and enjoyed the pool and room as they were both very clean.

Nice but needs improvements

This is a nice hotel but has a couple of short-comings. The air conditioning worked in the room but the temperature never really felt correct. In order to make the room 'cool' I had to turn it to 20 when it really felt more like 24-25. The water in the shower had a foul smell (sulfur maybe). I called the front desk staff and they were very helpful in trying to fix the smell but I think the water source is the problem. Even after cleaning the shower head you could still smell it. The breakfast food is honestly over priced, I didn't feel the quality of the food justified the price.

Aside from that it was very enjoyable. The rooms are quite spacious, big comfy bed and lots of seating and storage space. The staff was quite helpful as well. Many places to each outside near the beach.

The hotel was beautiful and we got an upgrade. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s in fact not a private beach.

Lagoon access mozzies

Lagoon access room was disappointing due to mosquitoes. We checked out a day early because of this despite having the room prepaid. On top of this we found the jimbaran area quite disappointing

So quiet and beautiful mountains and beach each side restaurant on the beach at night staff are beautiful and always ready to help Jimbaran bay is a cove so it just beautiful 20/30 minutes to central Bali loved my stay there will be back in June

This hotel definitely is not a 5 star hotel. The mini bar and snacks were not stocked when we got to the room. I had to call and ask to have it restocked. They restocked the drinks but then told me that the hotel was out of snacks. The furniture in the rooms were stained, the towels in the room are not white and fluffy they are old with a grayish tint, the pool towels are old and stained, the building exterior is not in the greatest condition (although they were doing some work on it). The other good thing about the hotel is the location it's very close to the airport and right also by the beach.

The restaurant staff was awesome although service is not quick but I noticed that almost everywhere you go in Bali it's like that. We tried both the Pool Bar and Sky Bar both were great but again the service was a little slow. I did try the spa as well -- massage and facial was fantastic.

Overall I was highly disappointed with my stay at Le Meridien Bali. My experience was not at all the same as staying at a 5 star hotel in the US.

My husband and I spent 7 nights at Le Meridien Bali for a wedding anniversary and we cannot recommend it enough. The staff are exceptional (they all remember and refer to you by name) and the amenities are amazing. We booked the lagoon access room which allowed us to slip right into the salt water lagoon pool straight from the balcony. The breakfast buffet is huge with options for every one and every culture, and the restaurants are great. There is a rooftop bar with a great view over the Jimbaran beach lined with the seafood restaurants (they cook over coconut husks instead of charcoal and the smell is amazing, even for non-seafood fans like us ). We also made the most of the swim up bar and cocktails at happy hour :) We felt like VIPs during the week (we are definitely not lol) and we will definitely return next time we’re in Bali.
