The hotel was very conveniently located, near restaurants, transportation and shops. Unfortunately, the rooms were very small and the first floor rooms do not have mini bars or refrigerators. Additionally, they charge for everything and there is not even any complimentary water in the rooms.

This was my first stay at Hotel Steglitz International and even though its a little outdated it is still a nice place to stay. It is clean, very quiet and the staff is friendly and approachable and always willing to assost with any needs you may have. I stayed in room 483 which had a nice virw over the plaza and the Rathsus and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Public transportation right in front of the door and shopping within walking distance! The only thing that was a little annoying was the wifi thst was a bit weak. But other than that i have nothing bad to say about this place! I would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to others!

Excellent location in one of Berlin's nicest suburbs, at the end of Schlossstrasse, the second busiest shopping street in the city.
The hotel is perfectly acceptable in all aspects, save for the strength of the wifi connection. It would be impossible to work in one's hotel room.

Nice hotel but it does not have air conditioning which is an issue in the summer which is why it is rated lower than I otherwise would have rated it. Our room was very warm at night even with the windows open. The hotel is U and S bahn locations right near the hotel which is nice.

Perfect place to stay!

Lovely Hotel, very clean rooms and great service. Perfect location! Bakery and Supermarkets are right next door.
Close to all public transportation such as busses, U and S Bahn. I stayed at the Hotel Steglitz for sixteen nights. Glad I did!

Impolite front desk staff.

The hotel overall is okay, price is good, just that one of the front desk guy is quite impolite.

When I walked back into the hotel and tried to get some water from the water dispenser at the main lobby, a front desk guy asked quite abruptly \"Do you stay in the hotel?\" I told him my room number. I don't remember I was being interrogated like this ever when I walked in a hotel anywhere in the world.

Also they don't have water kettle to let you boil water in your room. That same reception desk guy asked me to go to the coffee room on each floor to get hot water. But then I wasn't sure which button to press for hot water, the guy lectured me how to spell hot water in German.

Very convenient location close to main S1 train line.
However, wifi was very poor, no hot drink facilities in room, and fridge was not working.

My own fault - did not check about air conditioning. Actually didn't think I had to these days. The room was VERY hot and opening the windows meant it was VERY noisy. There was a free standing fan but only moved the hot air around.

Fehler im Buchungssystem .

Es war zu kalt . Keine Heizung im Zimmer keine Heizung im Bad.
Hatte vier uebernachtungen bestellt und im vorraus bezahlt . Waren aber leider nur drei uebernachtungen bei ihnen angekommen. ( via expedia ) . Obwohl ich alles bezahlt hatte . Belgeg und Kvittung vorlegte muste ich die vierte uebernachtung nochmal bezahlen . Mein Hotel zimmer wurde verriegelt so das ich meinem Koffer nicht herraus bekam ohne zu bezahlen .Das Misverståndniss zwischen ihrém Hotel und der Buchungsagentur muste ich ausbaden. Mir vøllig unverståndlich wie man sowas seinen Kunden zumutet.
Das Prinzieb ist falsch . Der Fehler wurdé von ihrem Peronal und Geschåftsleitung herruntergespielt und mir zulastgelegt .

Clean and friendly place. Very helpful and polite staff. SI breakfast for 10 € is highly recommendable.
The only thing to mention is that there is no coffee/tea facility in the room. There is a room on each floor with a machine but who wants to walk the corridor for a brew?
Location is brilliant. Shops right outside and all varieties of public transport within walking distance.

I still wonder how it is possible to give to a client room without air-conditioner at the summer on 35 deg Celsius. Next day they changed my room and gave me normal air-conditioned room, but with water bed. Absolutely uncomfortable. Strange. Hotel in Germany?!?!?!?!

No WiFi in rooms. Staff will say there is but it's slow due to high volume, however even at 2AM it does not work. WiFi only works in hotel lobby. VERY inconvenient. Maximum 3 devices per room to use wifi. Hotel refuses to compensate for unusable wifi. Not even a free breakfast for the inconvenience. Claims it's a \"complementary service\". If you require wifi, book in another hotel. If you don't mind walking to lobby or nearby coffee shop for wifi, feel free to book here.

Coffee machine cost 1 Euro. No complimentary snacks or refreshments. Breakfast is expensive, better to eat anywhere across the street.

No air conditioning.
Can hear noise from the street at all hours.
My bed (single) was very worn out.
Washroom has semi-transparent door. If you share a room, the other person can see you sitting on the toilet...

Location is easily accessible by public transit. Grocery stores, fast food, and shopping nearby.

Hotel Steglitz International is in a great central spot in Steglitz, within walking distance of lots of great shopping and restaurants and right on the U-Bahn line (and not far from the S-Bahn) so access is easy to the rest of Berlin.

The hotel staff were professional, and communicated well in English. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms in particular were very nice. The minibar in each room was also priced affordably (though with an Edeka with cheaper prices next door, there's no real reason to use it). However, there are a few downsides to the hotel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and instead of a proper queen bed, it was two single beds pushed together. Also, there was no microwave or coffee maker in the rooms, so you'll be eating out every night if you have a multiple night stay. Also, the bathroom has a weird semi-transparent glass door that is both visible from the main room and from the hallway if the door is open. Unless you are a couple who is super comfortable watching each other use the bathroom, I imagine this would be quite awkward, especially if you are traveling with a non-intimate companion and sharing a room.

Overall, the pros outweigh the cons here, but be informed that the hotel is a bit of an oddball.

Hotel staff not very helpful. Had to carry own luggage from curb to room, no help offered.
Water glasses in room not cleaned daily, towels not changed when required.
Room was comfortable. Mattress a bit old, gave me a back ache. Two separate beds often create a challenge for a couple.

Everything else than the WIFI is fine for this price range. The WIFI is impossible to get on except in the early morning hours ( from 2 am to 8 am ) , We stayed there for 4 nights, so I know this \"schedule\"!

Nice comfortable and spacious hotel, conveniently situated for the S-Bahn into the city and buses to other routes. The bed was two singles put together - with single duvets. The standard of the room was very good. The bathroom was clean and reasonably spacious. Breakfast was an extra 14 Euro and was excellent. Wifi was rather slow.

We had a wonderful stay at hotel Steglitz International. It was centrally located, nearby shopping, subways and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and quiet, despite being in the middle of a busy district of Berlin. The staff were first rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I don't think you could find a better hotel for the price.

Für 4 Sterne erwarte ich eine Klimaanlage und eine bessere Isolation bzgl. der Lautstärke, da das Hotel an einer sehr beliebten Kreuzung liegt.
Die Einrichtung ist alt, hier sollte renoviert werden.
Die Erreichbarkeit mit den Öffis ist super und auch die Umgebung sehr belebt mit Kultur, Restaurants, Shopping, etc
