Nice, modern hotel located close to the centre of town. The only let down was the drilling which started at apporx 8am and the below average breakfast. Also, the key fob to enter the hotel after reception had closed wasn't working due to the system still being installed. Otherwise, everything was great

Nice hotel not far from Phantasialand

I decided to stay at this hotel as its around a half hours drive from Phanasialand. Which on the German roads is no problem and yet was a third cheaper than hotels closer to the theme park, plus it included Breakfast. The hotel is located about 5 minutes drive from the motorway and there is a MacDonalds nearby. The hotel check in was easy and they were very pleasant. The hotel was clean and in good condition. The rooms very much the same. The beds are a litle firm but not overally firm. The mini bar was free which was an added bonus. When you first check out the breakfast, you do think, is that it, but actually there is more than enough. The best thing was the quality of the food. The scrambled eggs were good and NOT the sloppy rubbish that I am all to use to when staying at some hotels. Served with warm rolls and bacon, they were lovely. There is obvioulsy more choice than that, its a continental style buffet. The hotel does have a bistro, the only reason we did not try it was because we were not getting back until around 9pm, which was a shame as I would liked to have tried it. On checking out we went to the underground car park to get my car and it had broken down. The lady behind the reception was fantastic and let us back into our room while we waited for the breakdown people. A big thank you to her. I stayed at the De Ville for two night's and I would definitely stay there again.

My type of hotel

The hotel was conveniently located, only a very short walk to the old town square with its restaurants and cafés.
The room was modern, clean and large. A plentiful and varied breakfast was included in the price. We needed parking and there was a choice of roadside parking and the hotel’s underground parking (€10) which we chose. The car park could be accessed via the hotel's lift. Perfect!

Highly recommended stopover!

We only stayed one night en route back to UK, but would strongly recommend this hotel for a stopover. Friendly and welcoming staff, and an adjoining bistro with some tasty food and drink. A particular bonus was the large underground car-park (for an extra €10 per night) - particularly as the weather was very wet and windy during our stay. Highly recommended!

Very quiet, charming hotel

The hotel was convenient, secure parking and the staff was very courteous and helpful.
My only complaint is an uncomfortable bed, flat as air pillow and a comforter that barely covered our bodies (neither my husband nor I are overweight)

Nice Staff!!

The hotel was close to my destination. The staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was very good. The outside appearance is not similar to online picture. Needs to be very care when using shower, small tub, and easy to burn oneself if your body touches the water heater. Carpet in the hallway is with lots of stains. Not as clean as other best western, especially the ones in US. Overall not bad. Will probably try some other hotels out when next I visit!

We stayed here twice recently first stay we didn't make sure we had a bath, which we had requested on our booking., so made sure we had one for our return and were given a much better room.Staff very pleasant could do with updating with air conditioning, plenty to choose from for breakfast.Went to the hotel restaurant for our evening meal but no one appeared so found a lovely restaurant across the road.

Noisy, dirty wouldn't stay again

We arrived after a 8 hour drive to find our room had not been made up, 2 of our rooms were for families with young children, both of which were directly opposite an entrance to a club. The singing, shouting and violence lasted until 530am-not a restful stay and not what I'd expect of a Best Western hotel. Will not be staying again.

El chico de la recepción de la noche fue muy agradable y buen profesional. La chica rubia de la mañana no nos dijo ni siquiera adiós cuando nosotros le dijimos adiós hasta en dos ocasiones.

Por otro lado, no sé por qué los alemanes van de fiesta a Mallorca, Ibiza, Magaluf, Benidorm… si ya tienen la calle donde está este hotel! ;-) Hay bares con la puerta y las ventanas abiertas con la música a 120 decibelios hasta las 5 de la madrugada. Las ventanas del hotel son buenas, pero aún así, es imposible no escuchar la música durante TODA la noche.

Pregunta: si el hotel estaba prácticamente vacío… por qué nos dais una habitación EN LA PRIMERA PLANTA y justo ENFRENTE de esos bares? No creéis que había mejores opciones, teniendo en cuenta que ya conocéis el lugar?

Die Zimmer sind sauber Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Frühstück läst aber für den Preis zu wünschen übrig. Keine große Auswahl an Wurst (Standartwurst aus dem Discounter) keinerlei Salate. Man könnte denken es ist am Buffet alles abgezählt.

Türcode funktionierte wegen eines Softwareproblems nicht. Das Problem sei nicht neu. Also unnötig lange draußen gestanden. Die angeforderte Hilfe erschien nicht. Ausfall Aufzug. Dunkles Dachzimmer überhitzt. Klimaanlage nicht einsatzbereit. Also lieber nicht mehr dort wohnen.

Das ganze Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, fleckiger Teppichboden im ganzen Haus, das Mobiliar im Zimmer völlig überaltet, 1 Steckdose über den Matratzen in der Gästeritze, keine Minibar, hoher Einstieg in der Dusche, Vorhang in der Dusche, 1 von 2 Lampen im Bad defekt, positiv das heiße Wasser im Bad, Duschgel vorhanden, Bodylotion und Conditioner Fehlanzeige.
Frühstück: sehr übersichtliches Angebot es wurde nur auf Nachfrage aufgefüllt, der kaffeevollautomat kam ständig an seine Grenzen: Wasser leer, Milch leer, Kaffee- satzbehälter voll etc. Die einzige Servicekraft freundlich aber offensichtlich nicht in der Lage, den Überblick zu behalten und adäquat zu agieren.

Die Matratzen sind knochenhart, es müsste das Angebot eines Toppers geben . Habe kaum geschlafen . Zimmer war, schon als wir eintrafen, sehr warm, nichts half, schon gar nicht dieser kleine Ventilator . Es gibt keine Duschkabine , Duschen ist schwierig, ohne, dass der ganze Boden nass ist. Frühstück ok, aber leider auch für 4 Sterne naja , wenig Obstauswahl (Äpfel und Kiei), aufgebackene Industriebrötchen

Nach mehrmaligem Aufenthalt: das Personal ist immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind groß und die Betten gut und alles ist sauber.
Was etwas stört ist das Umfeld; das Hotel ist nahe dem Marktplatz und dort ist meist viel los, besonders am Wochenende. Demzufolge ist es oft laut bis in den frühen Morgen. Ein Zimmer nach hinten raus ist sehr empfehlenswert, um ruhiger zu schlafen.
Die Badausstattung mit altem Silikon und labberigen Duschvorhängen ist etwas abgewohnt und nicht mehr zeitgemäß, besonders für diese Hotelkette.
Im Ganzen gleicht das sehr gute Personal aber all dies wieder aus.

Für kurze Aufenthalte gut

Es ist schade, das der Hotelparkplatz 10 € pro Tag kostet.
Es ist häufiger der Fall, das in den Kosten schon der Parkplatz inbegriffen bzw. kostenlos ist.
Ansonsten ist das Hotel gut zu empfehlen. Es liegt in einer relativ ruhigen Strasse. Ausser am Wochenende, wenn früh morgens einige Menschen von der Kneipe, Party etc. nach Hause gehen und dieses Lautstark oder Singend tun. Je nachdem zu welcher Seite das Zimmerfenster zeigt, wird man wach davon.
Der Teppichboden im Zimmer liegt sicherlich schon einige Jahre und die vielen Flecken sind dessen Zeitzeugen. Das gilt eigentlich überwiegend für die ganzen Böden im Hotel. Letztendlich empfiehlt sich das Hotel für einen relativ kurzen Aufenthalt auf jeden fall.

Zimmer Ausstattung gut.
Service ok, aber das Frühstück war unterirdisch.

Mit der letzten Aussage ist nicht der Service gemeint, sondern vielmehr die unlogischen Corona Maßnahmen.

Zur Verdeutlichung. Ich musste ein Zeitfenster buchen was ich grundsätzlich in der aktuellen Zeit ok finde. Als ich dann aber zum Frühstück ging wurden links und rechts von mir andere Gäste platziert an e Tischen, welche max. einen halben Meter entfernt waren und das bei einem um 7 Uhr noch recht leeren Raum.

Es gab kein Buffet, sondern Tisch Service. Das heißt auf meinem Tisch stand ein mit Frischhaltefolie abgepackter + ein kleiner Teller mit etwas Marmelade und Nutella. Dazu 2 Brötchen und ein 1/2 Glas Saft. Zudem wurde mir etwas vorbereitetes Tetrapack Ei angeboten.
