A convenient location near the historic center and central attractions of Aachen. No restaurant, but a moderately popular bar in the evenings. Apparently a popular breakfast spread (18 euros) which I did not partake. Very clean room (with a mini fridge) and comfortable bed. The location near the bus station was a little off putting during the day with large crowds, but was quiet at night. Overall very pleasant.

Location was great for us, close to the apartment of a friend we were visiting, and easy walking distance to the old town/cathedral area. The actual area where the hotel is located was not great at night, but we did not feel unsafe. Room was large, easy to use for our week's stay and lots of storage to organize our belongings.

Lovely hotel

The place was a lovely hotel not far from the Christmas market. All staff and facilities excellent, the room was on the smaller side but had everything we needed. The breakfast was a bit expensive at €18.50 per head so we decided not to purchase breakfast. The hotel does have parking but only 18 spaces for the whole hotel which are never available. There is a multistorey car park opposite the hotel which is €18 per 24hrs max

Surprisingly Good!

When we arrived we were concerned about the location (across the street from the main bus terminal), but we found parking (next door garage) and walked to the hotel to check in. Very simple, clean and nice - Peasantly surprised. The front desk team was very nice, friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, modern, clean and looked brand new! Come to find out that were not as far from the cathedral area as we thought - Just a two/three block walk, and you are in the heart of the city! Convenient, safe, quiet, and even a good breakfast.

The premium hotel rooms have no soundproofing, we were awakened by our neighbours going number 1. And then the tv went on and we could enjoy that. Initially the reception was super nice, but when we wanted to check out earlier, it was bit of kartuffle to pay only the one night.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, but building work going on, which would have been good to know beforehand.

Room was small, but adequate, though with tiny wardobe hanging space, and the hotel overall very utilitarian. The Sauna cost extra.

Unimpressed to find a lot of long black hair in the bed and the on the cushions on arrival. It would have been nice to have more than one small bottle of complementary water and one set of towels for a three night stay.

Loved the staff, the room, the hotel in general.

Did not like the price of breakfast at Euro 16.50 although it was good but it was only Euro 9.00 just down the road and there breakfast was as good..

The room was noisy.
Yu either had to have the aircon on to keep the heat at a level or open a window if you were too hot to get any airflow.
Lots of traffic until early hours so not the best.

Next time we will ask for a room at the rear.

Very nice hotel but...

In general the hotel is nice, renovated, very well situated like ten minutes from the cathedral. However, it’s near a bus station. If you open a window, it’s very noisy even at night. The corridor keeps the strong dusty air. So if you have asthmatic problem, keep some medicines with you. You might need it.

Recently remodelled

Hotel rooms have recently been remodelled and it has been rebranded from Best Western to Best Western Plus, following higher standards. Rooms are very comfortable now, high quality furniture, soft towels, two padding armchairs, heating with radiator, welcome drink, plugins and USB plugins on the nightstand, comfortable desk to work with individuall light. They have added now free coffee and cookies at the reception in the morning. It is my first choice when I visit Aachen.

Hotel was lovely to look at, we had a lovely dinner in the old town of Aachen which was a 5 min walk away. Hotel staff in the evening were lovely and really helpful.
Because check out wasn’t until noon, we decided to have a lie in and a chilled morning, however were woken up at 9am by the loudest drilling which continued for an hour. When we mentioned to the morning staff about it, they just shrugged and said it wasn’t them. There was no apology or explanation, that would have been appreciated. Overall this ruined our stay.

Quick sightseeing stop

As of May 2018 hotel is undergoing renovation. Noisy during the day after 8, but quiet after 6 Pm. Didn’t bother us. Our room was recently done. Quiet after hours. The hotel has a parking lot 150 m away, which we didn’t use because we only stayed one night and parked across the street for 15€. There’s space to drop off and pick up your luggage at the door. So parking was no hassle. You have a 2 or 3 block walk to some nicer restaurants and the old city is relatively close. Would stay here again.

Nice to Be Back at the Regence Peterstrasse

I went for a 3 day break to Aachen City , but wanted a hotel and staff I could rely on ...
The area is fine and there are main bars and Restaurants , and the shops are Very close , like all City areas , keep to the main roads and streets , don't go up small side roads late at night ...unless you are with a friend or two.
There are lifts in the hotel, and there is a bar which keeps open , as in Germany as long as customers want it to...The night porter will always let you in if you've just returned from a party at 2am in the morning .
Very Clean and tidy .... Breakfast is 16 euros .... but so are many of the main hotels breakfast bars
Above all a Very Nice Place to Go ..

Great Hotel in the City Centre

The hotel was easy to find, although it would have been better if I'd asked where the car parking was before I got there! The rooms are great..I'd booked for three but the hotel was only ready for two..I was offered an adjoining room for 25euros a night, we thought this was much better than an extra bed squeezed in a room..It also pleased my son.
The rooms are very quiet with blackout curtains and very comfortable bedding which made for a good night's sleep (which in my opinion is the most important feature of any Hotel ).
The Breakfast was also very good (which in my opinion is the second most important feature of any Hotel)with a huge array of food, which seems the norm in German hotels but so strange to our English eyes(breakfast cake!).
The restaurant was closed at the time of my visit....

A clean hotel in a good location, within walking distance to the cathedral and old town square. The rooms are somewhat disappointing in that the furnishing is very old and not the best quality, although they are clean. The hotel service and staff are great, wireless internet was included, and the breakfast (not included) was reasonable. There was no secure day storage of suitcases--I asked the hotel to hold a suitcase on checkout day for pick up later in the afternoon and the suitcase was just put in the seating area for guests (small lobby).

Het hotel ligt aan de drukke Peterstrasse, maar in de kamer merkten we niets van het verkeersgeluid. De kamer (superior) was ruim en schoon. De badkamer was eveneens ruim. De bedden sliepen prima. We konden goed uitgerust naar de Kerstmarkt. Deze is 15 minuten op loopafstand.

Chambre bien optimisée, tred propre et cosy.
Je retire une étoile pour la chambre \"mitoyenne\" avec une porte entre les 2 chambres et la porte d'entrée du couloir qui claque à chaque arrivée ou départ de guest.
J'ai pu bloquer la porte avec un outil à disposition. Le voisin de chambre a été très calme par chance.
Je ne comprends que l'on propose ces chambres sans en informer au préalable le client. J'aurais refusé de la prendre.
Petit déjeuner frais et copieux, service très sympathique.

Dit hotel is in een hoofdstraat gelegen tegenover het bus station. Enkele minuten wandelen naar het centrum, dus goede ligging. Parkeren is in de Alexanderstrasse, ze hebben 2 garages daar.
Het ontbijt is ruim genoeg, het wordt zeer goed aangevuld. Misschien hadden salades en lokale kazen nog erbij gekunnen?

Het hotel was erg goed en de mensen heel vriendelijk. De parkeergarage voor de auto ook heel fijn. Het was alleen gehorig met verkeer en sirenes. Daarnaast was het warm op de kamer vanwege centraal geregelde vloerverwarming in de badkamer. In deze tijd van het jaar hebben we de airco op de kamer moeten aanzetten om het op de kamer te koelen. Alleen een raam openzetten de hele dag was niet voldoende en zeker geen optie voor s’nachts met het geluid. In de wijk voel je je s’avonds ook niet erg op je gemak. Het zit vlak naast een busstation en er lopen wat vreemde figuren rond. Maar buitenom om dat echt een prima hotel met een fijne ligging ten opzichte van de markt en de carolus Thermen. We hebben een prima verblijf gehad.

Großes, neuwertiges und sauberes Zimmer (Superior-Kategorie).
Gutes Frühstück.

Hotel-Tiefgarage ist ca. 3 min. Fußmarsch entfernt - für uns aber absolut kein Problem.

Umgebung in der Nähe vom Bus-Bahnhof mit vielen sozial benachteiligten Menschen, aber trotzdem keine Belästigung und SICHER.
Uns haben diese Menschen eher leid getan, als dass wir uns durch ihre Anwesenheit gestört fühlen.

Fazit : unser zukünftiges \"Stammhotel\" in Aachen.

Très belle chambre de grande taille, bien équipée, excellent lit, très belle salle de bains, régriferateur dans la chambre trop petit et mal conçu, car enfermé dans un placard rendant l'évacuation de la chaleur produite impossible ! Ascenseur unique un peu lent ; exczellent WiFi. Petit-déjeuner correct, mais les oeufs brouillés n'étaient pas bons le 1er jour (il faut les renouveler plus souvent) ; qualité du café juste correcte ; pas de garage proposé dans l'hôtel ; quartier mal fréquenté et bruyant le soir et même la nuit, mais pas d'impression d'insécurité ; hôtel très bien situé à quelques pas de l'hypercentre touristique et commercial. Personnel disponible et serviable. Un excellent séjour.

Hotel geboekt op basis van de beschikbare foto's, die helaas overduidelijk met een groothoeklens gemaakt zijn. Kamer klein en bedompt. Badkamer netjes, maar verrassend genoeg geen ventilatiesysteem. Kamers, gang en lift gerenoveerd maar blijven verouderd. Omgeving niet aan te raden, het wemelt er van de zwervers die dronken hun behoefte doen tegen puien en in nissen van de bebouwing. Voor 10,00 of 20,00 meer heb je veel betere keuzes, ik denk aan Kasteel Bloemendal net over de grens in Vaals.

Het spijt mij, maar ik kan er niets beters van maken.
